Résumé :
The study of optical properties of Al2O3, SiO2, TiO2, and ZnO nanoparticles in weak optical fields is presented. We found that some nanoparticles have unique optical nonlinearity: The values of portions to nanoparticle refractive index and absorption coefficient increase to maxima, and then decrease to zero when the radiation intensity changes from 1 to 500 W/cm2. We estimated electron energy structures of nanoparticles and experimentally determined that such nonlinearity is directly related to peculiarities of the energy structure. We obtained a good fitting of theoretical results to the expe

Résumé :
In this paper, the deposition and optical properties of charge-stabilized gold nanoparticles on silicon oxide substrates is studied, which have been derivatised with (aminopropyl) triemethoxysilane. Monodispersed charged-stabilized colloidal gold nanoparticles with diameters between 20-150 nm were prepared and their self-assembly and optical properties on silica substrates is studied. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is employed to investigate the nanoparticle monolayers ex situ. Analysis of AFM images provide evidence that the formation of the colloidal nanoparticle monolayers is governed by ran

Résumé :
Silver nanoparticles doped glass composites were prepared by ion-exchange and subsequent thermal treatment processes. The optical properties of silver nanoparticle-glass composites were investigated by UV-VIS spectrophotometer and z-scan technique. The results show that the optimal Ag+/Na+ ion-exchange temperature range is between 310°C and 380°C, higher ion-exchange temperature or higher AgNO3 concentration in melt or longer ion-exchange period favors the introduction of more Ag+ ions into soda lime silicate glasses. The higher Ag+ concentration introduced into silicate glass, the larger the

Résumé :
Nanoparticles are used in a variety of applications and their usage is growing vastly because of their superior characteristics, such as high specific area of contact, great mechanical properties, high electrical conductivity, and high optical scattering efficiency.. Among these numerous properties, optical properties play an important role in either the type of application in which nanoparticles may be utilized or the type of the nanoparticle which may be used for a desired outcome. Many textile products including fibers, fabrics, and textile composites benefit from these capacities of nanopa

Linked to Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) phenomena, optical and thermo-optical properties of metal-dielectric nanocomposite materials including noble metal nanoparticles dispersed in a dielectric host medium are worthily interested. Indeed these materials have been proposed for many applications such as photonics devices, bio sensors and even photo-thermal therapy. Colloidal silver nanoparticles were synthesized by reduction of silver nitrate using of ascorbic acid and citrate as stabilizer agent in a 30°C water bath. Résumé :
In this article, the relations between extinction cross section and Gold nanoparticle's parameters such as dimensions have been investigated. In this work, the extinction cross section of the core-shell nanoparticles is analyzed by changing the shell material and its thickness. By this, the interesting results such as shifting resonant peak in optical response are obtained. Moreover, a new model of nanostructure is proposed in which the resonant peak of extinction cross section can be controlled by adding silicon nanoparticles and impurity in the shell. This method can be used for tuning of th

Résumé :
Plasmonic nanofluids have excellent optical properties in solar energy absorption and have been widely studied in solar thermal conversion technology. The absorption of the visible region of solar energy by ordinary metal nanoparticles is usually limited to a narrow resonance band, so it is necessary to enhance the coupling effect of nanoparticles in the visible spectrum region to improve absorption efficiency. However, it is still a difficult task to improve solar energy absorption by adjusting the structure and performance of nanoparticles. In this paper, a plasma dimer Ag nanoparticle is pr
