Résumé :
Countries often undertake structural reforms to boost productivity, reduce inequality, and improve public sector efficiency, yet there is limited data on the reform process to evaluate these efforts. We examine the extent to which large language models (LLMs) applied to media articles can fill this evidence gap, using a case study from Colombia. We find that suitably prompted LLMs produce output that aligns with human reading. The output reveals extensive coverage of the debate and discussion that precedes reform adoption or rejection, and can be used to track the evolution of specific reforms

Résumé :
We develop a new monthly indicator of supply bottlenecks using newspaper articles. The supply bottlenecks index (SBI) provides a consistent narrative of supply issues related to wars, natural disasters, strikes and, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. Innovations in the SBI have important macroeconomic implications: an increase in the SBI functions as a cost-push shock, decreasing industrial production and employment, and pushing prices up, so that monetary policy faces important trade-offs.

It has been published in Munich by nationally conscious groups of migrants since 1949 as a part of the «Ukrainian Christian Publishing House». The significance of this Ukrainian newspaper in post-Nazi Germany is only partly comprehended in the works of a number of diaspora press’s researchers. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to supplement the scientific information about the «Christian Voice» in the postwar pe
