The connectivity of wireless networks is important for data transmission. Gupta and Kumar have already proved that if n nodes with omnidirectional antennas are located randomly, uniformly in a disk of unit area, the critical transmission range to achieve asymptotic connectivity is O( )[1]. In this work, we studied the network connectivity where nodes equipped with switched beamform antennas are randomly and uniformly distributed in a disc of unit area in R2, the antenna can be modeled in omnidirectional and directional patterns. This work presents the design of a wideband circular tightly coupled array for omnidirectional pattern generation. The proposed array works over an 8:1 bandwidth, providing very high performance in terms of active reflection coefficient, realized gain, and omnidirectional patterns with reduced ripples. The array is composed of 32 low-profile, self-complementary, bow-tie elements displaced around a metallic mast. Wideband omnidirectional antennas are essential components in radio monitoring and communication systems, enabling the reception of signals from all directions over a wide bandwidth. This paper presents a novel wideband omnidirectional antenna design that achieves a 1-dB gain variation across its azimuthal plane within a bandwidth of 1.8 GHz to 7.77 GHz. The antenna’s exceptional performance is attributed to two flower-bud-shaped monopoles that, through pattern superposition, generate a wideband omnidirectional radiation pattern. Résumé :
This paper introduces a wideband circular patch antenna designed with a frequency selective surface (FSS) for sub-6 GHz applications. The proposed antenna features a monopole circular-shaped patch with a partial ground plane, delivering an omnidirectional radiation pattern in the azimuth plane, resulting in relatively uniform gain in all directions. An FSS metamaterial enhances the antenna's gain and improves the broadside radiation pattern. The design incorporates three inner circular patches connected to the main patch. The FSS utilizes hybrid square/circle loop-based unit cells. The antenna

Résumé :
A horizontal azimuth pattern-reconfigurable antenna with configurable parasitic element arrays for WLAN applications is proposed in this paper. It consists of a control board, a central series-fed omnidirectional microstrip array, four configurable parasitic elements, a bottom conducting plate, and a top supporting plate. The omnidirectional microstrip array is adopted as an exciter, around which the four same parasitic element arrays are arranged at four corners. The p-i-n diodes as switches are placed between the parasitic element arrays and the conducting plate to control the fifteen radiat

Résumé :
Ellipsoid or geometric anisotropy is a widely used method in geostatistical analysis to obtain variograms with different ranges in different directions (azimuth) and relatively similar sill variance. Ellipsoid anisotropy is indispensable in mining when a resource geologist intends to understand the spatial continuity of variables related to any geological controls of the mineralization. For example, when dealing with mineralization related to tabular deposits, a porphyritic deposit with an irregular drill hole pattern (fan drilling), three-dimensional ellipsoid anisotropy is quite challenging
