Résumé :
The Mediterranean Sea hosts a great Nudibranchia diversity and has proved to be particularly intriguing in the case of the family Onchidorididae, a group of dorid nudibranchs that lately increased its diversity with the addition of one recently described Mediterranean species. The Onchidorididae family has a troubled systematic history to date, characterized by uncertainties and genera that are considered valid or not, according to the different authors. This confused taxonomy reflects the lack of a broad and comprehensive view on the phylogenetic relationships occurring between Onchidorididae

Résumé :
The opisthobranch fauna of the SE Kamchatka peninsula (NW Pacific, Russia) has been intensively investigated for the first time resulting in 21 species found, and six new records for Kamchatka. A unique onchidoridid species with a well defined, closeable gill pocket into which gills can be fully retracted, and which does not fit with any existing genus is described as Onchimira cavifera gen. et sp. nov. in anatomical detail. Onchimira cavifera is remarkable in that it combines characteristic features of cryptobranch dorids with those of phanerobranch onchidoridids. Its role as a missing link a

The life cycles and biodiversity of Pacific coast gastropods were analyzed by videomicroscopy and DNA barcoding of individuals collected from tide pools and in plankton nets from a variety of shore stations. In many species (Families Calyptraeidae, Cerithiopsidae, Strombidae, Vermetidae, Columbellidae, Nassariidae, Olivellidae, Hermaeidae, Onchidorididae, Gastropteridae, Haminoeidae), the free-swimming veligers were recovered from plankton collections; in Roperia poulsoni (family Muricidae) veligers were usually recovered from egg sacs where they had been retained although some escapees were f

A new species of the genusOnchidorisis described from the south-western Atlantic, on the coast of Brazil, in the States of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. To date, the genusOnchidorisis known almost exclusively from the northern hemisphere, especially the Atlantic coast of Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. The single previous record from the southern hemisphere isOnchidoris maugeansis, described from Australia. This is the first record of the family Onchidorididae from the coast of Brazil.Onchidoris brasiliensissp. nov. is very similar toOnchidoris depressa, from England and the northern coast o
