Laporan laba rugi merupakan laporan krusial bagi setiap perusahaan yang berorientasi laba. Laporan ini dihasilkan tiap akhir periode akuntansi dengan menjabarkan penjualan atau pendapatan dikurangi dengan biaya atau beban yang ada. Namun pada prakteknya, ada kalanya pimpinan memerlukan laporan ini di tengah periode akuntansi dengan mengabaikan beban atau biaya pada periode tersebut. Laporan laba rugi yang belum dikurangi segala biaya dan beban disebut laba rugi kotor. Walaupun belum sepenuhnya akurat, namun laporan ini sangat berguna untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pencapaian (milestone) laba perusahaan dibandingkan dengan target yang hendak dicapai. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis mengimplementasikan metode pencatatan Perpetual Inventory System sehingga dapat menghasilkan laporan laba rugi kotor secara instan kapan saja diperlukan, tanpa menunggu akhir periode akuntansi. Perancangan program pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Agile dengan pendekatan Extreme Programming. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode black box untuk memastikan fitur yang dibutuhkan sudah sesuai. Dalam hal ini penulis membandingkan hasil perhitungan laporan dengan perhitungan manual yang terbukti benar dan akurat. Dengan adanya laporan laba rugi kotor yang dapat diakses setiap saat, perusahaan dapat lebih fokus pada pencapaian target laba perusahaan.Kata Kunci —Laba rugi kotor, Sistem Informasi Dagang, Perpetual Inventory System.Profit and loss report is crucial report for every profit-oriented companies. This report is generated at the end of every accounting period by calculating the difference between sales or income with costs or liabilities. But in reality, sometimes CEOs may need this report in the middle of accounting period where it excludes costs or liabilities for the period. Profit and loss report which exclude costs or liabilities is called gross profit and loss report. Although it is not fully accurate, this report can be useful to determine how far profit milestones has been reached by the company compare to the desired target. In this research, the writer implements Perpertual Inventory System method to generate gross profit and loss report instantly whenever needed, without the need to wait until the end of accounting period. Software is designed using Agile Development Method with Extreme Programming approach. Blackbox testing is used to ensure all required features are working. In this case, the writer compares results between generated report and manually calculated which proven correct and accurate. From the Problems of a Transformation from Perpetual Usufruct to Property RightSummaryAn analysis of a normative state and a practice of a conduct of legal transactions with reference to legal regulations of perpetual usufruct and also of a transformation of this right into property right permits a statement that in Polish Law there came into being a system of norms completely unintelligible, excessively complicated, internally contradictory, bureaucratic and too costly for the national budget, local governments and perpetual usufructuaries. The primary cause of the status quo was the lack of a clearly defined objective at which the legislator was aiming. Expediency was implemented at the expense of system principles. It led to interventions of the Constitutional Tribunal. The legislator hedged, made successive provisions not only internally contradictory but also arousing new doubts as to their compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.It seems that the only rational solution of the status quo is to forego the right of perpetual usufruct by enfranchising perpetual usufructuaries. However, it has to be a regulation based on foundations completely different than these hitherto existing.The transformation should cover all perpetual usufructuaries, regardless of the mode and the time of their acquisition of this right, and should ensue ex lege. This would result in a significant simplification of a construction of the transformation. Given a tremendous interest of perpetual usufructuaries in the transformation, it would significantly reduce the amount of office labour and attendant costs incurred by them. At the same time affranchisement would become universal. Further simplification and lowering costs of transformation would require that entries in mortgage registers should be evidenced ex officio at the time of the first transaction relating to a given mortgage register. Since affranchisement in a discussed mode would cover all perpetual usufructuaries ex lege, it would be obvious that persons evidenced in a register as perpetual usufructuaries are property owners until a new entry is made.There should be no exception from the basic principle of universality of affranchisement of perpetual usufructuaries. It has to be assumed that land charged with perpetual usufruct has not been indispensable for the hitherto existing owner (the State Treasury, local government units) in order to perform their basic tasks. In special cases these units may employ an expropriation.The most difficult problem of the hitherto existing regulations faced has been the question of compensation due to hitherto owners from the fact of a loss of ownership as a result of a transformation. I propose to regulate these settlements in such a way that an enfranchised perpetual usufructuary should be charged with such performances as he was charged with hitherto as a perpetual usufructuary. In other words: he would be charged with an obligation to pay annuity during a period for which he has been granted, the right to perpetual usufruct, transformed into property right. In exchange for a performance, which in any case he would have to provide as per agreement, the former perpetual usufructuary would obtain a better right - property right. According to the proposition under discussion, the regulation would have a system character, in a long-term it would allow to effect such a reform of public finances that hitherto existing owners could perform their assigned tasks financing them from performances of a tribute type, and not from perpetual usufruct. One would have to consider the advisability of maintaining in force the principles of determining an amount of an annuity. It seems that instead of the current system (expensive and inefficient) there should be introduced a principle of a yearly raising of annuity according to a rate of inflation.It’s common knowledge that appreciable part of immovables of the State Treasury and municipal immovables originate from different kinds of „expropriations” carried out in the period of PRL [People’s Republic of Poland]. To secure claims of former owners I propose to create a special fund, meant for indemnities satisfying these claims, from obligatory written off amounts gained from receipts from former perpetual usufructuaries.

Currently, most machine learning applications follow a one-off learning process: given a static dataset and a learning algorithm, generate a model for a task. These applications can neither adapt to a dynamic and changing environment, nor accomplish incremental task performance improvement continuously. STEP perpetual learning, by continuous knowledge refinement through sequential learning episodes, emphasizes the accomplishment of incremental task performance improvement. In this paper, we describe how a personalized temporal event scheduling system SmartCalendar, can benefit from STEP perpetual learning. We adopt the interval temporal logic to represent events’ temporal relationships and determine if events are temporally inconsistent. To provide strategies that approach user preferences for handling temporal inconsistencies, we propose SmartCalendar to recognize, resolve and learn from temporal inconsistencies based on STEP perpetual learning. SmartCalendar has several cornerstones: similarity measures for temporal inconsistency; a sparse decomposition method to utilize historical data; and a loss function based on cross-entropy to optimize performance. The experimental results on the collected dataset show that SmartCalendar incrementally improves its scheduling performance and substantially outperforms comparison methods.

Animals have colonized the entire world from rather moderate to the harshest environments, some of these so extreme that only few animals are able to survive. Cave environments present such a challenge and obligate cave animals have adapted to perpetual darkness by evolving a multitude of traits. The most common and most studied cave characteristics are the regression of eyes and the overall reduction in pigmentation. Studying these traits can provide important insights into how evolutionary forces drive convergent and regressive adaptation. The blind Mexican cavefish ( Astyanax mexicanus ) has emerged as a useful model to study cave evolution owing to the availability of genetic and genomic resources, and the amenability of embryonic development as the different populations remain fertile with each other. In this review, we give an overview of our current knowledge underlying the process of regressive and convergent evolution using eye degeneration in cavefish as an example. This article is part of the themed issue ‘Evo-devo in the genomics era, and the origins of morphological diversity’.

A medicina periodontal vem mostrando uma associação entre a doença periodontal (DP) e doenças sistêmicas. Entretanto, são poucos os estudos que têm focado no impacto da hipertensão arterial sistêmica na progressão da periodontite. A relação entre estas duas patologias envolve o processo de inflamação, uma vez que a hipertensão está associada à disfunção endotelial. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar, morfometricamente, se a hipertensão afeta a progressão da DP através do aumento da perda óssea alveolar mesmo após a remoção da ligadura. Utilizando-se um modelo de periodontite induzida por ligadura, 20 ratos hipertensos (Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats - SHR) e 20 ratos normotensos (Wistar Kyoto - WKY) foram distribuídos nos seguintes grupos: WKY-C, WKY-DP, SHR-C e SHR-DP (C grupo controle e DP grupo com doença periodontal). Nos grupos com DP os 1°s molares inferiores receberam ligadura com fio de algodão no início do experimento. Após 10 dias, metade dos animais de cada grupo foi sacrificada e a outra metade teve suas ligaduras removidas. No 21° dia (11 dias após a remoção das ligaduras), os animais restantes foram sacrificados. As mandíbulas tiveram seu tecido mole removido e foram submetidas à análise morfométrica, medindo-se a distância entre a crista óssea alveolar e a junção cemento-esmalte (COA-JCE, mm) em todos os grupos. Aos 10 dias, os grupos com DP mostraram uma perda óssea maior (p<0.05) que seus controles (SHR-DP = 0.72 ± 0.05; SHR-C = 0.39 ± 0.04; WKY-DP = 0.75 ± 0.04 e WKY-C = 0.56 ± 0.04). Após a remoção das ligaduras, a perda óssea acumulada foi superior (p<0.05) àquela aos 10 dias com ligadura, apenas no grupo SHR-DP (0.94 ± 0.13 mm). Foram observados 32% de perda óssea adicional após a remoção das ligaduras no grupo SHR-DP e apenas 17% no grupo WKY-DP. Os ratos SHR (83% e 102%) apresentaram um padrão de perda óssea diferente e mais severa que os WKY (32% e 26%) comparando-se com seus respectivos controles, tanto aos 10 quanto principalmente aos 21 dias. Enquanto que a perda óssea nos WKY tendeu a diminuir após a remoção das ligaduras, os SHR apresentaram uma progressão da perda óssea no 21° dia. Portanto, pode-se especular que a hipertensão está associada com uma perda óssea alveolar mais severa, mesmo após a remoção das ligaduras, e que pode perpetuar a progressão da periodontite.Periodontal medicine has been showing an association between periodontal disease (PD) and systemic diseases. However, few studies have focused on the impact of hypertension on the progression of periodontitis. The correlation of both conditions involves the inflammatory process, once hypertension is associated to endothelial dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to evaluate morphometrically whether hypertension affects PD progression by enhancing bone loss even after ligature removal. Using a ligature-induced periodontitis model, 20 Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats (SHR) and 20 normotensive rats (Wistar Kyoto - WKY) were assigned to one of the following groups: WKY-C, WKY-PD, SHR-C and SHR-PD (C control group, and PD periodontitis group). On PD groups, the first mandibular molar received a cotton ligature at baseline. After 10 days, 5 animals of each group were sacrificed and the ligatures of the other animals were removed. On the 21th day (11 days without ligatures), the remaining animals were sacrificed. The jaws were defleshed and the distances between the alveolar bone crests and the cementoenamel junctions (ABC-CEJ, mm) were measured in all groups. After 10 days, the PD groups showed more bone loss (p<0.05) than the controls (SHR-PD = 0.72 ± 0.05; SHR-C = 0.39 ± 0.04; WKY-PD = 0.75 ± 0.04 and WKY-C = 0.56 ± 0.04 mm). After ligature removal, the culmulative bone loss was worse (p<0.05) than that one at 10 days with ligature only in SHR-PD group (0.94 ± 0.13 mm). It was observed 32% of additional bone loss in SHR-PD group and only 17% in WKY-PD. The SHR animals (83% and 102%) showed a different and more severe pattern of bone loss than WKY (32% and 26%) related to their respectively controls, at 10 and mainly at 21 days. After ligature removal, bone loss in WKY group tended to diminish, while SHR showed a progressive bone loss in 21° day. Therefore, it may be speculated that the hypertensive condition is associated with an advanced bone loss even after ligature removal that may perpetuate the progression of periodontitis.

Por otra parte, la Práctica Docente se caracteriza por ser mecánica, con escasa promoción de la expresión, comprensión y producción oral y escrita. Ante esta situación se plantea como objetivo Contribuir con las Docentes en la adecuada aplicación de los Procesos Didácticos, fortaleciendo progresivamente la práctica Pedagógica con estrategias que desarrollen la Comprensión y Expresión oral y Producción y Comprensión de Textos de los estudiantes del II Ciclo de la I.E.I. 516 Virgen del Perpetuo Socorro, y que se justifica en la búsqueda de la mejora continua de la calidad de los aprendizajes en la escuela. Los aportes de experiencias exitosas y referentes teóricos sobre el problema a tratar, determinan que el proceso Didáctico es una Actividad conjunta e interrelacionada de profesor y estudiantes para la consolidación del conocimiento y desarrollo de competencias, como lo sostiene Danilov. Las deficiencias en la comprensión de textos escritos tienen relación directa con el bajo nivel de logros de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de segundo grado de secundaria de la institución educativa Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro, por ello desde la gestión escolar resulta importante llevar a cabo el presente trabajo porque este problema que es recurrente y crónico en nuestro sistema educativo. Se analizan sus acusas y factores para plantear alternativas de solución. El presente Plan de acción tiene como objetivo elevar el nivel de logro de comprensión lectora de los estudiantes a través del fortalecimiento de las capacidades de los docentes en el uso de las estrategias de comprensión lectora, del mejoramiento del clima del aula, de la promoción de hábitos de lectura, de planificación curricular adecuada y la implementación de un sistema de monitoreo y acompañamiento pedagógico. La gestión escolar entendida como el “conjunto de acciones articuladas entre sí que emprende el equipo directivo en una escuela para promover y posibilitar la consecución de la intencionalidad pedagógica en y con la comunidad educativa” (Pozner,1995); requiere del liderazgo pedagógico que se define como la “la labor de movilizar, de influenciar a otros para articular y lograr las intenciones y metas compartidas de la escuela” (Leithwood, 2009). En la práctica de este liderazgo se requiere movilizar esfuerzos y activar procesos para superarlas deficiencias de la comprensión lectora asumiéndolo como un problema transversal y de naturaleza compleja, que tiene causas y factores asociados al desempeño de directivos, docentes y estudiantes, y cuya solución debe partir de un diagnostico real, de un estudio e investigación profunda, de un cambio de actitud y compromiso que signifique una solución integral y participativaTrabajo académico

Los Angeles has long been identified as a fragmented city, by nature of its cosmology and those constructed perceptions that constitute it in the collective imaginary. In an effort to articulate, interrogate and understand such a place, we have come to rely on its representations to function as mediators of meaning, delivering through their simulation of the city an experience of the real, lived Los Angeles. As a result, the relationships between the real and the representation become skewed, altering the processes by which we engage with the everyday. To better understand the implications of this dialectic, I examine four representations of the city: Disneyland, David Hockney’s “Domestic Scene, Los Angeles,” David Gebhard and Robert Winter’s A Guide to Architecture in Southern California and the BBC “One Pair of Eyes” installment “Reyner Banham Loves Los Angeles.” By analyzing representations of Los Angeles produced in a range of media, it becomes possible to discern the complex relationships between the real and envisioned Los Angeles, and to recognize the constructive force that emerges out of this discursive space.text

This section considers why ancient communities in crisis deemed sorrowing motherhood as a potent agent in bringing about their preservation. It suggests, for example, that since child loss creates existential limbo for the bereft mother, it can unlock a unique capacity in her for incessant supplications and intercessions. Thus, when groups and individuals were at their most vulnerable, the perpetual destabilization of a bereft mother and the ability to intercede as its outcome were the go-to social tools. Additionally, it considers the ability of mourning rites to transgress normal social expectations and defy class differences. Consequently, within a ritual context bereft mothers could voice uncensored perspectives on personal and collective suffering and on the persons responsible for it. Finally, since Israel used family-based metaphors for its various social structures, it was only natural to appeal to maternal agency, with its emphasis on care and protection, in times of crises.

AbstractEosinophil apoptosis (programmed cell death) plays an important role in several inflammatory and allergic conditions. Apoptosis triggers various mechanisms including activation of cysteine-aspartic proteases (caspases) and is characterized by morphological and biochemical changes. These include cellular condensation, nuclear fragmentation, increased mitochondrial permeability with loss of membrane potential, and exposure of phosphatidylserine on the cell membrane. A greater understanding of apoptotic mechanisms, subsequent phagocytosis (efferocytosis), and regulation of these processes is critical to understanding disease pathogenesis and development of potential novel therapeutic agents. Release of soluble factors and alterations to surface marker expression by eosinophils undergoing apoptosis aid them in signaling their presence to the immediate environment, and their subsequent recognition by phagocytic cells such as macrophages. Uptake of apoptotic cells usually suppresses inflammation by restricting proinflammatory responses and promoting anti-inflammatory and tissue repair responses. This, in turn, promotes resolution of inflammation. Defects in the apoptotic or efferocytosis mechanisms perpetuate inflammation, resulting in chronic inflammation and enhanced disease severity. This can be due to increased eosinophil life span or cell necrosis characterized by loss of cell membrane integrity and release of toxic intracellular mediators. In this chapter, we detail some of the key assays that are used to assess eosinophil apoptosis, as well as the intracellular signaling pathways involved and phagocytic clearance of these cells.

Abstract Restoration aims to rebuild not only species but also the tangled interactions between species that ensure communities perpetuate by themselves. In tropical forests, restoration of seed dispersal interactions is essential because most plant species depend on animals to spread their seeds. A big challenge in restoring such forests is dealing with invasion by non-native species. Non-native plant species may outcompete and eliminate native species from the community, potentially disrupting or arresting the restoration process. Once established, invasive non-native plants are usually incorporated into the local seed dispersal network, potentially causing loss of biodiversity by competition with native species. This chapter reports on a case study of a 25-year old restored forest invaded by several bird-dispersed plant species. We assessed network metrics at the species level to specifically evaluate the role performed by invasive non-native species in the structure of the bird - seed dispersal network. The removal of invasive non-native plants and the re-establishment of native plant communities should be considered for the restoration of habitats invaded by non-native plants. For this reason, we discuss the impacts of removing such non-native plants and explore the consequences for the structure of the overall network. Because restoration areas are open systems, even after the removal of invasive non-native plant species they can return via seed dispersal. So, both the control and management of invasive non-native species would be more effective if planned with a landscape perspective. We also point out relevant management aspects to avoid the negative influence of invasive non-native plants on the seed dispersal interactions occurring between native plant and bird species in restored tropical forests.

Through the study of grief over lost places, tree friends, whole species, and human comrades, I suggest that protests can be understood as rites of mourning. Memories of childhood wonder, feelings of love and kinship for other species, empathizing with oppressed human communities, raging at injustice with hardcore bands, all make the loss of friends and other species keenly felt as activists face the realities of mass extinction and climate change. I explore their experience of environmental devastation and species loss as a kind of perpetual mourning from which they cannot escape. And yet, in all this loss, many of them find hope for a primal future, beyond the human.

Across the United States, home care faces perpetual worker shortages and endemically high turnover levels estimated at between 60% and 90% per year. This chapter examines cases of turnover in rich ethnographic detail, arguing that the inability of agency and public policy to recognize the interdependence of older adults, workers, and their families contributes to this startling statistic. In observed cases of turnover; job loss stemmed from workers’ inabilities to sustain both their own households and those of their older adults without blurring the boundaries between them. Workers lost jobs because of conflicts with family care and because they engaged in unsanctioned reciprocities with clients. Current attempts to protect vulnerable older adults from possible exploitation actually exacerbate the exploitation of care workers and increase instability in home care.

The SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic drastically forced millions of students, faculty, staff, and administrators into a digital world of the unknown. The unexpected perplexities of these unknown digital environments resulted in unacceptable percentages of student losses in school attendance, student academic performance, and as a result loss to local communities. One perpetual reminder this pandemic taught is that even post-COVID, educational institutions will have to rely upon remote, digital interfaces due to future challenges such as hurricanes, fires, flooding, rolling blackouts, etc. However, each of these barriers also presents new opportunities to learn and provide access to products and services such as hardware and Internet access, which will improve student success and retention.

Patients suffering from mania are overactive, intrusive, excited, and belligerent. They may believe that they have special powers, are related to public figures, and can read the minds of others. They spend money lavishly. Voices on the radio or television are sometimes understood as personal communications. They speak rapidly, with illogical and confused thoughts, move constantly, and write page after page of nonsense. They typically sleep and eat poorly, have little interest in work, friends, or family, and often require restraint or seclusion. Suicide is a perpetual threat. Some manic patients are likable, while others are angry and frightening. Psychosis is a frequent feature. Manic patients believe that their parents are not their real parents, asserting that they have royal blood. They believe that they can predict the future. They know that others are watching or talking about them, and they hear voices when no one is present. Delusional mania requires more intensive treatment and almost always hospital care. In older classifications of psychiatric illnesses, these patients were considered to be suffering from a manic-depressive illness. In modern classification, this term has been discarded and the illness is now conceived as bipolar disorder for patients with manic and depressive features and major depression for those with depressive symptoms only. Bipolar disorders, ranging from mild to severe, are divided into numerous subtypes. The variety of symptoms that admit the diagnosis of bipolar disorder has led to a virtual epidemic of diagnoses of the condition. Many patients so labeled do not exhibit the sleep difficulty, loss of appetite, and loss of weight, or the severity of illness, that were the criteria for manic-depressive illness. In manic-depressive illness, the manic episode persists for hours, days, weeks, or months and interferes with normal living. Once the episode resolves, it may suddenly recur; or manic episodes may alternate with periods of depression, or occur as simultaneous mixed episodes of depression and mania. When the shift in mood from mania to depression takes place within one or a few days, the condition is labeled rapid cycling, a particularly malignant form of the illness. In manic-depressive illness, the manic episode persists for hours, days, weeks, or months and interferes with normal living.

This chapter examines the economic, technological and financial changes that facilitated liberal globalization. To understand, The technological advances of the 1980’s that facilitated globalization rendered rigid, closed, bureaucratic regimes redundant. The economic process established the structural preconditions that enabled the idea that history had ended and a new borderless world of political and economic convergence had emerged. The rise of the middle classes under global market conditions inexorably presaged modernization leading to democratization. Although, for a brief period after 1989, it seemed there might be an illiberal Asian alternative to the end of history, the Asian Financial Crisis (1997) demonstrated the ultimate redundancy of authoritarian alternatives to global liberalism. At the millennium, a democracy friendly ‘golden straightjacket’ shrank the state everywhere and opened it to a liberal institutional order, affording the preconditions for what Immanuel Kant foresaw in 1794 as a universal cosmopolitan and perpetual peace. However, the fact that some undeveloped countries and the blue collar working classes within developed states had lost out in this process of globalization, required, not more liberalization but a new borderless, post ideological, post historical third way in politics to realize perpetual global peace.

Abstract Drilling fluid is an inseparable component of drilling oil and gas wells and circulated from the day of spudding to the day of completing a well. Drilling fluid consists of a variety of chemicals to provide various properties to drilling fluid such as viscosity, fluid loss control, emulsion stability, lubricity, etc. Developing chemicals that are eco-friendly and sustainable to provide the above-mentioned properties to drilling fluid is a significant step forward taken towards sustainability and reducing carbon footprint besides suitability for aquifers and offshore environments. Several fatty acid-based products play a crucial role in drilling fluids additives development as fatty acids offer eco-friendly and bio-degradable properties. Triglycerides present in vegetable oil is a potential source of fatty acids and their derivatives. Used cooking oil (UCO) provides a perpetual and sustainable source of raw material for various types of eco-friendly additives development. Used cooking oil is subjected to simple chemical modification of base hydrolysis process and mixture of fatty acids have been obtained after completing a sequence of clean-up process of reaction mixture. The fatty acids obtained are eco-friendly, bio-degradable and non-toxic. Due to technical, economic and environmental benefits, we have conducted several research projects to develop various chemicals from used cooking oil for oil and gas field applications. Fatty acid-based products mainly used in drilling fluids as lubricants to reduce torque and drag for water-based mud. In case of oil-based mud systems, fatty acid derived products are used as emulsifiers, wetting agents and rheology modifiers. However, these products have been either mixture of fatty acids and their derivatives or only derivatives of fatty acids. In our study, we have used the mixture of fatty acids obtained from chemical conversion of UCO for applications as lubricant for water-based mud and emulsifier and rheology modifier for invert emulsion oil-based mud systems. This paper describes the chemicals process for converting used cooking oil to fatty acids by base hydrolysis reaction in the first section. Application of synthesized fatty acids for water-based and oil-based mud formulation as lubricants, emulsifiers and rheology modifiers have been discussed in the second part of the paper.

Esta tesis de doctorado estudia la microdensificación como estrategia para promover la revitalización de barrios pericentrales que actualmente enfrentan un proceso de obsolescencia dentro de la estructura urbana, y su potencial como respuesta sostenible y eficiente para el desarrollo urbano.
La microdensificación se produce en barrios con restricciones tales en la regulación del uso del suelo que los perpetúa como áreas residenciales -monofuncionales- de baja densidad. Son procesos de organización emergente desarrollados por los habitantes, aumentando informalmente el número de unidades funcionales por lote, incorporando usos complementarios que enriquecen la estructura funcional y reconstruyen la estructura social, evitando la expulsión de población a suburbios.
Se realizará un análisis señalando fortalezas y debilidades de la microdensificación a fin de revalorizar el rol de los procesos emergentes en la ciudad entendida como un sistema complejo, dinámico y auto-organizable, para definir criterios de intervención según lógicas de correlación entre las variables detectadas. This dissertation studies the microdensification as a strategy to promote revitalization processes in neighborhoods that are currently facing obsolescence within the urban structure, and its potential as a sustainable and efficient response to urban development.
The microdensification occurs in neighborhoods located around the city core. Its land userestrictions perpetuate them as low density residential areas. There are informal emergent processes, developed by the inhabitants, that increase the number of functional units per lot, incorporate complementary uses that enrich the mono-functional structure and rebuilding the community network, avoiding the population expulsion towards the suburbs.
A phenomenological analysis will be performed, pointing out strengths and weaknesses of the microdensification. The role of emergent processes within the city -a complex, dynamic and self-organizing system- will be highlighted,in order to define analytical and operational criteria.

Drilling fluid contains a variety of additives or chemicals to provide various properties to drilling fluid namely viscosity, fluid loss control, emulsion stability, lubricity, etc. Developing environment friendly chemicals to provide the above-mentioned drilling fluid properties is a significant step taken towards sustainability and reducing carbon footprint besides suitability for aquifers and offshore environments. Several fatty acid-based chemicals used in drilling fluids as fatty acids offer eco-friendly and bio-degradable properties besides required drilling fluid properties. Vegatable oil contains triglycerides which is a potential source of fatty acids and their derivatives. Waste vegetable oil (WVO) provides a perpetual and sustainable source of raw material for various types of eco-friendly additives development. Waste vegetable oil is subjected to simple chemical modification of base hydrolysis process and mixtures of fatty acids have been obtained after finishing a sequence of clean-up process of reaction mixture. La literatura científica demuestra que los roles y estereotipos de género son construcciones relacionados con factores sociales, culturales, religiosos, políticos, etcétera que perpetúan de las conductas y actitudes sexistas a través de los roles y estereotipos de género que discriminan a las mujeres y mantienen la desigualdad, legitimando la violencia de género. El objetivo del siguiente estudio es conocer cómo se desarrollan y construyen dichas concepciones sexistas y estereotipadas tanto de las mujeres como de los hombres haciendo uso de la metodología de la deconstrucción dialógica. Para ello se desarrolló un diseño de enfoque cualitativo con una muestra de 38 adolescentes de institutos públicos cuya técnica principal fue el Método Delphi, el cual se trianguló haciendo uso de la observación participante y los grupos de discusión. Los resultados parecen indicar que el alumnado se muestra más concienciado sobre la igualdad, sin embargo, mantienen concepciones estereotipadas sobre los roles de género, siendo aquellos referidos a los hombres los más prescriptivos. Las diferencias en el discurso de los y las adolescentes parecen indicar que si bien se ha avanzado en la concienciación social sobre la igualdad todavía no se ha interiorizado en el plano individual.

Ubicada en la tercera planta de un edificio de viviendas de los años 60, el diseño y la reforma interior de la vivienda se conciben como una oportunidad para permitir cohabitar dos estadios temporales distintos a través de la utilización de un único material, el hormigón. El contraste surgido entre vigas preexistentes de hormigón encofrado con tabla de madera y el plano de suelo de hormigón blanco continuo genera un interesante diálogo, matizado por el uso de un soporte curvo de madera de arce que alberga las zonas de servicio a la vez que traslada la luz desde las fachadas a las zonas centrales interiores.

Pocos realizadores de cine se han centrado tanto en la cocina como espacio físico en donde son elaborados los alimentos o en determinados platos del repertorio alimentario español como Pedro Almodóvar. Lo internacional de su filmografía ha permitido construir fuera de España una imagen de lo que comemos, en donde lo elaboramos y como lo comemos. El carajillo o la paella del filme La flor de mi Secreto, El hueso de jamón con el que Gloria mata a su agresor en ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?. Las croquetas de la Piel que Habito, las rosquillas de Volver, la cerámica de Sargadelos en Julieta o el flan que como un personaje más aparece en muchos de sus películas hay que sumarle la cocina como espacio clave en el que se plantean conflictos, se develan confesiones, se resuelven dilemas y hasta se perpetran asesinatos. Un espacio en la mayoría de los casos planteado como un lugar puramente femenino. En su amplia filmografía el director manchego ha ido haciendo evolucionar la cocina como espacio: de los ambientes claustrofóbicos de sus primeras películas hasta los ambientes anodinos y de diseño que podemos encontrar en sus últimas producciones como en el cortometraje la Voz Humana. Es que la cocina como lugar físico de sociabilidad ha ido cambiando velozmente en los últimos 30 años, para transformarse en ocasiones en un mero lugar de producción de alimentos y él lo ha reflejado claramente en sus films.

El segundo: la violencia de género sumergida. .- Material y métodos: El motivo porque decidimos realizar este trabajo es por la presencia de casos que nos estamos encontrando en los últimos meses, principalmente, en el caso de mujeres que consumen diferentes tóxicos, como alcohol, cocaína, nicotina… que acuden a nuestras consultas con la finalidad de recibir tratamiento para cuadros afectivos, que durante la entrevista objetivamos un consumo de larga data e identificando los motivos que llevaron al consumo y cuales lo perpetúan. Cuando nos encontramos con una gran carencia en el apoyo tanto familiar, como en su entorno social, ya que ambos apoyan el consumo, sin ser conscientes de la afectación que les genera a las personas que consultan. Encontrándonos con situaciones en las que prefieren que el consumo continúe, para que poder seguir manejando a esta persona a su conveniencia o no abandone el círculo social. .-Resultados y conclusiones: En estos casos, intentamos trabajar la conciencia del daño del consumo tóxico, a la vez que buscamos la recuperación y estabilización del cuadro afectivo, por el cual acuden. Muchas veces con sus relatos e intervención de algunos familiares los cuales acuden como acompañantes, observamos las relaciones disfuncionales que presentan con estos, a la vez que así lo manifiesta la persona que consulta, como otros familiares acompañantes, como hijos, hermanos… Por ello, debemos de realizar un abordaje conjunto, y siempre investigar como son las relaciones familiares y sociales que presenta una persona con adicciones, porque el entorno puede ayudar a que salga del consumo o fomentarlo.

Objetivos Describir la población observada en una consulta de salud mental en una organización no gubernamental (ONG) que apoya a personas con trastornos por uso de sustancias en Lisboa, Portugal, y analizar la patología dual existente. Material y métodos Se realizó un estudio observacional retrospectivo de todos los pacientes observados en un período de 18 meses desde la creación de la consulta de salud mental. Toda la información recopilada se extrajo de forma anónima y se destruyó después del procesamiento. Resultados y conclusiones En los 18 meses desde la creación de la consulta de salud mental se observaron 76 pacientes, 66% hombres. La mayoría tenía entre 35 y 44 años (el promedio era de 41 años) y el 74% tenía nacionalidad portuguesa. El 29% de los pacientes eran indigentes u ocupaban casas abandonadas. Una parte de la población presentaba únicamente enfermedad mental o trastorno por adicción, pero la mayoría (66%) presentaba patología dual. Las patologías más frecuentes como diagnóstico primario fueron los Trastornos mentales y del comportamiento derivados del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas (37 %), en su mayoría por plurisustancias, y los Trastornos afectivos (37 %), seguidos de la Esquizofrenia, el trastorno esquizotípico y delirante ( 13%). La tasa de trastorno por uso de sustancias fue la siguiente: alcohol 49%; benzodiazepinas 24%; cannabinoides 50%; cocaína 43%; heroína 37%. El 21% de los pacientes están en un Programa de Mantenimiento con Metadona. También se comprueba que el 59% de los pacientes tienen patología médica importante (principalmente infecciosa o neurológica). Cada vez más, se hace imperativo reconocer los trastornos de adicción como fuente y consecuencia de la enfermedad mental, en un ciclo que se perpetúa y requiere un abordaje conjunto, fundamental para brindar la mejor atención en salud mental a quienes padecen patología dual.

Objetivo: Analizar a través de un caso la eficacia de aripiprazol depot en un paciente con diagnóstico de Trastorno Psicótico inducido por cánnabis. Metodología: Se ha empleado un caso clínico extraído del Hospital Perpetuo Socorro de Albacete, a través de una revisión retrospectiva de la historia clínica, además de utilizar los principales motores de búsqueda on-line. Caso clínico: Mujer de 39 años, con diagnósticos de Trastorno psicótico inducido por cánabbis, que tras abandono del tratamiento farmacológico vía oral durante un año, es llevada al servicio de Urgencias de Psiquiatría con importante clínica psicótica. En la exploración psicopatológica cursa con un discurso incoherente, desorganización del pensamiento y conductual, ideación megalomaníaca con aumento de capacidades e ideación delirante de prejuicio centrada en su madre. A la paciente se le instaura tratamiento con aripiprazol depot. Resultados: Los estudios consultados demuestran la eficacia y seguridad de aripiprazol depot para el Trastorno Psicótico Inducido por Cánnabis tanto en ámbito ambulatorio como hospitalario, en monoterapia o en politerapia con benzodiacepinas, siendo usado también en la agitación y/o sintomatología psicótica única. Conclusiones: En el Trastorno Psicótico Inducido por cánnabis se ha observado que el aripiprazol 400 mg depot mensual en combinación con olanzapina 10 mg, un comprimido antes de dormir junto a una abstinencia a tóxicos, le han proporcionado estabilidad clínica, adecuada conductualmente, con organización del pensamiento y biorritmos conservados.

La generación de residuos sólidos urbanos (RSU) está relacionada con el consumo de bienes y servicios, y este a su vez, con el ingreso y los niveles de vida de la comunidad que se estudia, por lo tanto, la generación de los residuos será distinta entre cada región. Si bien, se han realizado esfuerzos que integran la regulación jurídica, el ecodiseño de productos, la inclusión de nuevos materiales, la instalación de infraestructura y la disposición de sitios, así como aportes significativos de la ciencia y la participación de la sociedad civil y empresarial, la realidad muestra que el manejo adecuado de los residuos sigue siendo una asignatura pendiente. Tal es el caso de México, en donde se desechan diariamente 102,895 ton de RSU, donde el 46.42% son orgánicos, 31.56% inorgánicos y el 22.02% restante son misceláneos (residuos que no tienen un valor económico y material en el mercado productivo), es decir, que el 77.98% puede ser aprovechado. No obstante, solo se logra recuperar el 9% de estos, y es a través del sector informal (recolectores/pepenadores), y solo residuos inorgánicos. En el mejor de los casos la totalidad de los residuos son depositados en los rellenos sanitarios, pero saturan su capacidad operativa y perpetúan que el manejo de los RSU siga una cadena lineal inadecuada, que promueve escenarios de contaminación en el aire, suelo, agua, afecta a diversos ecosistemas, suscita la extracción de recursos naturales, se incrementan los costos operativos para su manejo, se da la proliferación de fauna y vectores que ponen en riesgo a la salud de la población. Aun estando conscientes de la situación, sigue existiendo una desarticulación de acciones que favorezcan la recuperación y valorización de los residuos a través de la integración de los generadores. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación es diseñar un sistema integral de RSU considerando como ejes de acción: la educación ambiental, las tecnologías limpias, la optimización de procesos, la logística de recuperación y valorización, y la generación de redes de coparticipación. Se ha elegido al Centro Histórico de Cuernavaca, Morelos, México, como sitio de estudio, por su relevancia social, ambiental y económica, y por el número considerable de personas que interactúan en el lugar, además de que cuenta con dos características adicionales que permiten el poder ser intervenido: la declaratoria de Ecozona (2015), y las condiciones de su sistema de recolección que se pueden optimizar. Actualmente se está trabajando sobre la primera área del proyecto, que consiste en el acercamiento con las unidades económicas (UE), la identificación de hábitos de consumo/desecho, posibles colaboradores, reconocimiento de impactos, caracterización de los RSU, y en el diseño del prototipo de triturador, este último va encaminado hacia el manejo adecuado de los residuos orgánicos, a través de la evaluación de tres sistemas de compostaje. La meta final del proyecto es pilotearlo en el sitio de estudio, y a partir de los resultados establecer un sistema que pueda ser adaptado a otros escenarios, otros sitios históricos, por ejemplo.

En el proceso de confección de una prótesis, la adecuada selección de los dientes artificiales es sin duda un paso clave para el éxito del tratamiento, no solo por la alta demanda estética que exigen nuestros pacientes sino también por su funcionalidad y comportamiento a largo plazo. En la actualidad, podemos encontrar en el mercado una gran variedad de materiales, en lo que se refiere a la elaboración de dientes preformados para la confección de prótesis. Se han utilizado materiales como la porcelana y la resina acril-vinílica, siendo este último un líder indiscutible gracias a las propiedades estéticas y de resistencia, su unión química a la base y su costo reducido, frente a los grandes inconvenientes de los dientes de porcelana, tales como: la falta de unión química a la base por tanto una gran dificultad en la técnica, el ruido que provocan y el mayor costo económico que representan.(1) Si se comparan ambos materiales teniendo en cuenta las principales propiedades que deben cumplir los dientes artificiales, ambos materiales poseen buena capacidad de corte, pero en cuanto la capacidad de trituración, eficacia masticatoria, perpetuar la dimensión vertical y la relación céntrica, su acción estimuladora de la musculatura y tejidos blandos, estética, resistencia, indeformabilidad, estática cromática, no favorecer la formación de placa bacteriana y la producción de olores la porcelana ha presentado mejores propiedades frente al acrílico. (2,3) Pero su tendencia a la fractura, su difícil manejo y elevado costo, lo que ha hecho a lo largo de la historia que fuese desmarcada por el acrílico y este fuese sin duda el material de elección para la confección de dientes artificiales.

Resulta ampliamente reconocido que el cambio climático y el financiamiento están estrechamente relacionados, y que se requieren más fondos pero que también es preciso adoptar una nueva mirada. Pensar el problema del financiamiento “verde” de manera aislada no sirve. Resulta imperioso repensar el financiamiento como parte integral de un nuevo modelo de producción e inserción global. Ello implica aproximarse de forma diferente al crecimiento, de modo que se busque generar valor desde otra perspectiva. Transformar las finanzas supone modificar el régimen de inversión extranjera vigente. Además, resulta esencial repensar el rol de la inversión en el desarrollo económico y social, abandonando la idea de que cualquier aumento del PIB es exitoso sin importar el costo. Se requiere otro enfoque, superar el dilema de un horizonte bloqueado, que se asocia al cortoplacismo que caracteriza al sistema financiero actual. Debemos observar las necesidades de financiamiento ligadas al combate del cambio climático, pero también a los costos financieros de la inacción. Manejar la incertidumbre en el contexto actual requiere un cambio metodológico, que reconozca la imposibilidad de determinar a ciencia cierta cuáles son los peligros que conlleva la inacción. Pero que también condene aquellas acciones que perpetúan un modelo energético anclado en el pasado, junto con el financiamiento que lo hace factible. La interacción entre cambio climático y macroeconomía ya no puede soslayarse; ello obliga a evaluar una serie de propuestas políticas en discusión. Si tras la crisis surgió la necesidad de preservar la estabilidad financiera, las autoridades monetarias comienzan ahora a introducir nuevas regulaciones para impedir la irrupción de riesgos ligados al cambio climático. Independientemente de las ideas e instrumentos que se proponen en los países desarrollados, resulta imprescindible reconocer la especificidad de América Latina, y la visión particular que debería adoptarse en el análisis de la interacción entre política macroeconómica y cambio climático.
