Scania är en av världens största tillverkare av lastbilar, bussar och marina motorer och examensarbetet har utförts i syfte att utveckla en ny remmätrigg för att bättre kunna verifiera slitage, livslängd och töjning efter olika testcykler på Poly-V remmar. Riggen skall utföra mätningar enligt standard SAE-J1459 och klara att mäta remlängder mellan 1000-3300 mm. Software ArcView 9.2 with extensions was provided by university to create this Master’s Thesis. Maps of electromagnetic fields are created from measured data in the neighborhood of the faculty building. Measurement of geographic position of measuring points is realized by GPS. This work is focused on the study of luminescence of atomic thin layers of transition metal chalkogenides (eg. MoS2). In the experimental part, the work deals with the preparation of atomic thin layers of semiconducting chalcogenides and the subsequent manufacturing of plasmonic interference structures around these layers. The illumination of the interference structure will create a standing plasmonic wave that will excite the photoluminescence of the semiconductor. Photoluminescence was studied both by far-field spectroscopy and near-field optical microscopy.

In this thesis basic principles of sound system design are presented. A software simulation in Matlab is written for prediction of sound field with sources of real directivity in both freefield and in a closed room using velocity potential. Reflections are simulated using mirror sources of first and second order. Frequency dependent sound absorption coefficients are implemented in the simulation. There is a GUI designed to operate on most common horizontal configurations. Those are then evaluated and advantages and dissadvantages are demonstrated using the simulation software.
