The paper is aimed at theoretical insight into phenomenology of psychological manifestations of love styles, identified by J. A. Lee, the Canadian sociologist, who used types of love described by ancient Greek philosophers as a basis for his classification. The author employs a number of aspects as the criteria for the analysis of essential characteristics of love styles: differentially expressed features of feelings, self-awareness, social perception, types of human relationships (suggested by J. L. Moreno and M. Buber), ways of realization of inward human nature (described by E. S. Fromm), level of sense of community and compensation mechanism for inferiority feeling (conceptualized by A. Adler). As a result of the theoretical study, the author outlined six psychological types of love: passionate love-admiration (eros), hedonistic love (ludus), love-friendship (storge), practical love (pragma), obsessive love (mania), altruistic love (agape). Theoretical representations of psychological types of love, formulated upon carrying out the phenomenological analysis, and application of substantive deductive construction strategy for psychological inventories enabled the author to design a diagnostic technique for psychological types of love. To test the technique, the author conducted the empirical study that involved 143 participants (89 women and 54 men) aged 18–32 (mean age = 22). The paper gives the reliability indicators for six scales of the diagnostic technique for the psychological types of love and the results of its convergent validation that prove good psychometric applicability of the designed psychodiagnostic tools and their differential diagnostic potential. The study revealed correlations of degree of psychological types of love with some sustainable personality traits (R. B. Cattell’s technique) and indicators of social and psychological adaptability.

This study intends to compare the two short stories entitled Sebuah Pertanyaan untuk Cinta by Seno Gumira Ajidarma with the short story What We Talk About When We Talk About Love by Raymond Carver. This research uses qualitative descriptive, in order to describe the dimensions of love from the two short stories with psychological aspects. The method used is to examine the psychological aspects of the characters, then compare the contents of the two short stories based on the dimensions of love. The object of comparative literature discussed is related to the dimension of love. The library technique is a data acquisition process. The results of this study are that there are various human efforts in exploring the dimensions of love based on psychology. Each of these dimensions affects the behavior of individuals in behaving and thinking when oriented. Therefore, the dimensions of love that are studied by psychology consist of the id, ego, and superego which are then analyzed based on the dimensions of love including, domination, self-process, commitment, attachment, satisfaction, and conflict.Keywords: Short Stories, Dimensions of Love, Psychology, Comparative Literature.

The Marriage Law in Indonesia (UUP) is a positive legal rule in building a family. The UUP for example states that the purpose of marriage is to form a happy family, while the obligations of a husband and wife are to love, respect, respect and be loyal. Happiness, love, respect and loyalty are part of the psychological domain that cannot be achieved by merely reading normative juridical rules. Therefore a psychology study is needed to study the UUP. In addition to the psychological aspects, it is also important to study the UUP with a normative approach to see whether the UUP elaborates the normative values of the Qur'an as a source of Islamic teachings. The background of this paper is compiled with the aim of explaining the manifestations of psychological aspects formulated in the UUP so that it can be a reference for implementation in building families and analyzing the normative values of the Qur'an absorbed by the UUP. Therefore this UUP study was conducted with an integrated approach to normative and psychological juridical. This study also aims to develop family law with an integrative juridical psychological approach. The primary data sources used are the book of the Qur'aan by Quraysh Shihab, UUP and the book Motivation and Personality which examines happy psychology by Abraham H. Maslow and Triagular Theori of Love which discusses the theory of love in psychological perspective by Robert. J Steinberg as well as secondary sources related to research. The results of this study indicate that forming a happy family as a marriage goal is in harmony with Q.S. ar-Rum (30): 21. While in a psychological perspective marital happiness can be achieved by a husband and wife can achieve if fulfilled the five basic human needs (hierarchy of needs) in humanistic psychology namely: physiological, security, social, appreciation and self-actualization needs. While husband and wife love is manifested in three aspects, namely attachment, caring and intimacy.

In this era, psychoanalysis is widely used as a research method because it examines aspects of psychological principles that exist in literary works, especially the characters of the main characters. Uhibbuki Jiddan poetry seeks to express a deep sincerity of love to the lover. The purpose of this study is to describe the id, ego, and superego of the character Ana in the poem Uhibbuki Jiddan by Nizar Qobbani with a literary psychology approach. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data obtained from this study lead to a psychological analysis of the literature contained in the poem Uhibbuki Jiddan. There are three psychological structures of a person contained in the psychology of literature proposed by Sigmund Freud, namely the id, ego, and superego. In the Uhibbuki Jiddan poem, the id attached to the character ‘ana’ appears naturally, the ego exists only to obtain pleasure, satisfaction, or momentary pleasure by prioritizing needs and the superego is shown with the sincerity of love.

This article carries out comparative literary research of the short story "The Lady with the Dog" by the Russian writer Anton Chekhov and the novel “The Great Gatsby” by the American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald for determining the possible mutual influence between these two authors and their works. For achieving the set goal, the article reveals the most significant similar incidents and differences in relation to the aspects of love, ego, and trauma that were selected for the analysis. The comparison relies on the Freudian view of love and trauma in order to analyze the psychological struggle after the loss of love experienced by the protagonists of the aforementioned literary works – Gurov and Gatsby. The scientific novelty consists in comprehensive comparison of the theme of love between the authors and their protagonists, as well as with the protagonists themselves. Unlike other existing scientific works, this publication compares the psychological aspects of not only love, but the trauma and ego of Gurov and Gatsby as well, revealing the similarities and differences between the aspects of love, ego and trauma alongside their perception by the protagonists. Both main characters fall in love with the women who are married to other men. Thus, they both have experienced a traumatic situation they could not cope with. The research sheds light on the similarities between Chekhov and Gatsby and their narrators in both case studies. The acquired results can be applied in practice of literary psychoanalytic criticism, as well as in practice of comparative research.

This article is devoted to introduce a literary comparative study between two literary works written by the Russian novelist Anton Chekhov’s short story "The Lady with the Dog" and his American counterpart F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel "The Great Gatsby". The goal lies in revealing the possibility of an existed influence between the two authors. Also, it reveals the similarities and differences of the aspects of love, ego, and trauma. Multiple articles dealt separately with the theme of love in both case studies, thus; the novelty lies in comprehensive comparative of the theme of love between the original authors and their protagonists, as well as with the protagonists themselves. Another novelty is presented in comparing other psychological aspects of trauma and ego of Gurov and Gatsby. The research employs the historical, analytical, comparative, and psychoanalytical methods. The author, specifically, bases his comparison on the Freudian view of love and trauma to analyse the psychological struggle after the love loss experienced by both protagonists; Gurov and Gatsby. Both of them fall in love with women they cannot be with because they are both married to other men, so they both experienced traumatic situation that the protagonists could not get over it. The acquired results can be used both in the practice of literary psychoanalytical criticism, and practice in the filed of comparative studies.

The notion of stress has becae as the same time very popular but is sometimes used improperly or with many exaggerations especially concerning the recommendations of practical solutions suggested for stress management. The stress producing stimuli, many physiological processes go into action, probably through different paths in close connection; the response is, therefore, an interaction between the organism and his environment. The emotional component takes part in the response reactions through the somatic effect of which it influences the behaviour. The man having lost his last connection with the world grieves duple and his environment must pay great attention not to lose also him. Every medico-surgical intervention belongs to the stress factors. Both contain psychopathological elements and a long psychotherapy accomplished by a specialist is needed, considerate-protective environment for the accommodation in the normal life, for the resocialization. The biological stress is a long succession of active, interactive mutual effect. This relation which always consists of the difference of value-power-intensity is, like an example of today, a chain of action of two fighter during which they get the offensive and defensive conduct in exchanged role. From the point of view of the human individual life the psyche (psychism) is a subsystem. If still we take it out of this relationship with investigational aim then we have to consider it a system.

The purpose of this study is to apply self-love to help maintain mental health and reduce the risk of disorders in one's psychological condition in Ghea Indrawati's "Sad Soul" video clip. This analysis focuses on how the depiction of self-love is contained in each scene, then continues on Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic model (triangle meaning). This research is qualitative research and uses semiotic analysis owned by Charles Sanders Peirce. For Charles Sanders Peirce, the fundamental principle of the nature of signs is representative and interpretive nature. The music video of the song "Sad Soul" was chosen because the music video has many moral messages aimed at loving yourself, this concept encourages someone to be able to recognize and accept themselves then be able to treat themselves well and as they are. The results of this study have 3 aspects, namely self-love as soft love for oneself that focuses on planting, nurturing, and developing oneself. Self-love as a dynamic state of self-appreciation, which grows from actions that support physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. Self-love as a feeling of comfort and the ability to set aside time for self-care.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to seek the inner motivations present in immigrants moving from different regions of Brazil to its capital, Brasília. The goal is to find out the individuals’ stories, not only the macroeconomic aspects usually studied in migration movements. Also, the authors intend to understand how impacting the process of leaving one’s homeland and loved ones behind can be. Design/methodology/approach In this study, ten recent immigrants were interviewed about their inner motivations to migrate to Brasília and the difficulties faced. Their answers were categorized and distributed into charts showing the most relevant parts for the study. Findings Two main topics stood out: work and love. The search for a meaningful and rewarding job is a strong enough reason to migrate. Love presents itself as a different reason to migrate, especially when economic and political reasons are the most common motivators. Love has to do with wanting to be with a partner or family. Migration is a time for crisis, mourning can be present and the strangeness of the new place may affect some more than others. All interviewees mentioned the hardships of adapting, be it emotionally or psychologically. Originality/value It is a response to the lack of clinical psychology studies about migration in Brazil. The importance of having studies carried out with a more qualitative perspective in the field of migration, in which the focus are the inner motivations of the migrants and what their experiences are.

The link between social relationships (parental, romantic, friendships, acquaintances) and one’s psychological well-being has been investigated deeply in the area of adult psychological adjustment. With respect to this, there has been an increasing emphasis on adolescents and their interpersonal relationships lately. Adolescence, a developmental phase characterized by broadening social networks and changing interpersonal requirements, is a domain of research in which theintricacies of interpersonal attachments is becoming common. It is important to better understand these interpersonal intricacies to contribute to the evolution of attachment theory. Two important aspects of interpersonal relationship during adolescent stage are love and friendship, which may affect overall psychological wellbeing. As adolescents make the transition into young adulthood; love and friendshipattitudes are especially important sources of support and even at times, act as a buffer from stress. The paper aimed to examine the love attitude and friendship dimensions of adolescents in relation to their health andadjustment. Datawas collectedfrom 300 school going adolescents, attending classes 11thand 12th;boys (n=150) and girls (n= 150) in the age group of 16-18 years from Rohtak district of Haryana, India. The results highlighted the significant role of love attitude and different dimensions of friendship in shaping the health & adjustment of school going adolescents.

A Likert scale questionnaire was used to investigate the stress level of 386 college students in a university. According to the difference analysis of the survey data, it is found that male college students are significantly more stressed than girls in terms of love emotions, and junior students study The pressure is significantly higher than other grades. An erotics of knowing is posited that comprises embodied aspects of psychological and emotional closeness, and derives not from transference dynamics but from psychological and emotional intimacy—both component and consequence of the analytic process. The experience of knowing and being known is invested with erotism via its interpenetrative and interreceptive aspects; regardless of gender, to know the other is to enter a hidden interior “space” that represents that person’s embodied inner world. Yet the interrogation of the intrinsic relationship between knowing and loving is stunningly absent from the psychoanalytic literature. This historical neglect is traced to a split in the discourse presaged by Freud’s essay on transference love, which distinguishes between the qualified reality of the erotic transference and the de-erotized but “real” construct of the “analytic love” relationship. A more recent split relocates erotism to the maternal transference, divesting it of aggression and oedipal sexuality. These splits constitute a vigorous collective defense against engaging with the erotics of knowing: from Oedipus to Genesis, our forbidden fruit.

This research has the first objective to describe the physical structure of the novel Love, Interrupted by Maya Lestari GF. Second, describe the inner conflict of the main character Aisha contained in the novel Love, Interrupted by Maya Lestari GF. Third, describe the character values contained in the novel Love, Interrupted by Maya Lestari GF. Fourth, describe the suitability of the novel Love, Interrupted by Maya Lestari GF so that it can potentially be an alternative source as a good literature teaching material at the XII grade high school level.This research is studied by using literary psychology because the theory used is in the form of psychological theory. In this study, the research approach used is a psychological research approach because this study examines the psychological aspects of characters in a literary work in the form of a novel. The results of the first research are the Love Interrupted novel by Maya Lestari GF which has a structure like novels in general. Secondly, in the novel Love, Interrupted, there is an inner conflict that is understood by the character Aisha which can be an experience for the readers. The three Love, Interrupted novels by Maya Lestari GF contain 16 values of character education, namely responsibility, social care, environmental care, love of reading, patient/communicative, appreciating achievement, curiosity, democracy, independence, creativity, hard work, discipline. , tolerance, honesty, religious, and toughness. The four Love, Interrupted novels by Maya Lestari GF have the potential to be used as an alternative source of teaching materials containing literature at the XII grade high school level based on the field of conformity. This suitability field consists of. (1) in terms of psychology, this novel can be taught to high school students of class XII because it has a positive side to the character Aisha. (2) contains terms from Minang language and English in order to develop insight and knowledge for class XII high school students. (3) this novel is able to increase the imagination of high school students in class XII by describing the situation through imaginary sentences or fantasies used by the author. (4) novels foster students' curiosity with stories found in novels.

Aspects and the peculiarities of such relationships have always been the cause of misunderstandings among people. The phenomenon of love is still not fully understood. Therefore, the article explores the conceptual aspect of the love notion in English, the means of its verbalization and its main components. The love concept, which is verbalized by the means of contemporary English, is defined as a certain abstract unit that reproduces the centuries-old experience of the people in the form of various notions about this feeling. Love as a complex phenomenon of various spheres of human life has a high status in many disciplines of different cycles, therefore the study of this notion is relevant not only in lexicology or linguistics, but also in philosophy, ethics, sociology, and other sciences. Various linguistic means for representation of love in English have been studied and the main components of this notion have been identified. The main components of the notion of love have been defined, the expression of the notion in psychological texts has been analyzed, and duality as a conceptual feature of love has been described. Verbalized ideas about the inner world of a person who is the bearer of a particular culture have been considered. The notion of love has been investigated precisely from the linguistic side, also because the culture of love in the European space is primarily a verbal culture, which is closely linked to its verbal expression. There is every reason to believe that love is understood as one of the main aspects of human life and is recognized as one of the primary factors in human relationships, which is reflected in the language conceptualization. Thus, the conducted analysis allowed to reveal the versatility and multi-component character of the notion of love in the English language.

Multiple studies throughout recent years have investigated the theory of love that identified six love attitudes: Eros, Ludus, Storge, Mania, Pragma, and Agape. Research found that these love attitudes are associated with many aspects of romantic relationships, individual emotional characteristics, and personalities. However, there are few comprehensive reviews of those findings. This article reports meta-analysis and two empirical studies that explored emotional profiles of people with different love attitudes. Meta-analysis of multiple studies has demonstrated the prevalence of positive emotionality among individuals with Eros love attitudes and negative emotionality among individuals with Ludus and Mania love attitudes. Results of empirical studies showed that individuals with Ludus and Mania tend to experience more negative emotions, while those with Eros – more positive emotions. Pragma, Storge, and Agape love attitudes are characterized by infrequent and less intense positive and negative emotions. The love of individuals with Ludus and Mania types can be interpreted as defensive attitudes related to their experience of negative emotions. Generally, studies showed that Eros love attitude tends to promote an adaptive emotional experience. Individuals with Eros love have a better chance to be happy in their romantic relationships. On the other hand, Ludus and Mania are rather maladaptive love attitudes. Individuals with Ludus and Mania tend to be unhappy in relationship. Pragma, Storge, and Agape are neutral or moderately adaptive love attitudes without intense positive and negative emotions. Due to this, they do not show any salient defensive psychological mechanisms in their relationships.

The article analyzes rhetorical techniques, speech strategies based on the presentation of the new phone iPhone 13. The article deals with the concept of linguistic strategies, such as strategies of persuasion, strategy of information and intellectual setup, strategy for designing emotional states, which are the basic concepts of psycholinguistics. Language means of lingual-rethorical strategies and a number of basic concepts that construct certain states are investigated, such as positive emotions of happiness and love, negative states of sadness and fear or emotion of uncertainty, which cause doubt, and so on; they intend to induce various psychological emotions in the audience. Such strategies are used by marketers to achieve an effective impact on the addressee to provoke it to the desired action. The article revealed the concept of "suggestion" and found that the rhetorical strategy of communicative influence is realized through certain receptions, such as rhetorical questions, the use of estimation vocabulary and the use of conceptual metaphors. Rhetorical strategies for designing psychological states are also analyzed, they are implemented by rational arguments from experience or definitions and emotional arguments based on the values of a particular audience.

The article presents a detailed substantiation of topicality of studying the traditional pre-revolutionary and modern humanistic understanding of the socio-psychological phenomenon of “forgiveness”. The semantic, etymological, historical content of the process of formation of this concept is revealed. Moreover, important pedagogic aspects of its application in modern practice of spiritual and moral upbringing in Russian education are indicated. This article presents the results of an extensive analysis of religious, philosophical and scientific primary sources, revealing in different ways the semantic, pedagogical and psychological content of the concept of “forgivenessˮ in both Russian and foreign thinkers’ opinion. The author considers in detail the theoretical and practical aspects of the humanistic understanding of the phenomenon of “forgivenessˮ, she presented in the guidelines for the pedagogic programme of socio-emotional ethical education (SEEL).The article also analysed the differences in the understanding of “forgivenessˮ as a socio-psychological phenomenon in the works of Russian thinkers and Western scientists, who interpret this concept from different positions: altruistic and egocentric. The author points out that the moral upbringing of a person who can unselfishly forgive and love is possible only on condition of mastering real examples of such behaviour in a socially significant environment of the child. The author emphasises that the non-directive methods of modern upbringing, as a rule, do not contribute to the formation of the spiritual and moral sphere of the child's personality.

This paper aims to investigate the effect of Machiavellianism, love of money, and internal control on the tendency of asset misuses in the workplace, especially in the state-owned company XYZ in Semarang. This study used survey method to collect data from employees of a state-owned company in Semarang City. The data consisted of 161 questionnaires which were analyzed using WarpPLS 7.0. The finding showed that Machiavellianism, love of money, have a significant positive effect on the tendency of asset misuses in BUMN companies, while internal control has a significant negative effect on the tendency of asset misuses in BUMN companies. This finding implies the importance of considerations in psychological aspects when it comes to fraud prevention. Additionally, the finding implies that the internal control is a mandatory mechanism in the company's managerial activities for fraud prevention.Keywords: Machiavellianism, Love of Money, Internal Control Misappropriate Assets, Government-Owned Enterprises.

Purpose This study aims to add to the understanding of the interactive nature of brand love by using a multilayer perspective that incorporates individual, group and societal contexts. Design/methodology/approach The qualitative empirical study uses abductive reasoning. Its theories and conclusions are grounded in naturally occurring data from an online brand community. The approach revealed new interactive processes of brand love. Findings This study extends our understanding of the interactive nature of brand love by adopting a layered perspective incorporating micro- (individual), meso- (in-group), macro- (in-group vs out-group) and mega-layer (societal) social dynamics that complements the predominant focus on individual psychological processes. It challenges the linear, monodirectional trajectory approach to brand love, suggesting that brand love is in constant flux as individuals move across the layers in their identification with the brand. Research limitations/implications This study provides data from one destination brand in Finland. Future studies could consider other types of brands and contexts in other countries and cultures. Practical implications This study shows brand managers that brand lovers can be divided into subgroups with distinct drivers of their love to which brand managers should attend. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first attempt to describe the interactive nature of brand love through interactions between and within four layers of brand love. Furthermore, this study enhances our understanding of the contradictory aspects of brand love.

Bowlby (1988), mentions that, if our early relationships were problematic, then our future relationships might offer us another chance, by giving us the potential to love, feel and reflect, having the freedom that comes from a secure attachment.The results of this study contribute to a better understanding of the important role the secure attachment has in forming the relationships throughout the lifespan.

The article deals with the problem of love relationship between a man and a woman presented in the work of the medieval thinker Ibn Hazm ‘The Ring of the Dove’. The choice of the writer and his work is caused by several reasons which have determined the research problem. The authors note existing gaps in the study of love themes in Ibn Hazm’s works. Moreover, the love theme becomes especially relevant nowadays because of the vast variety of attitudes to gender relations existing in the world and differing from conventional wisdom accepted by world religions and traditional national cultures. The aim of the study is to analyze the representations of the art of love in the work ‘The Ring of the Dove’. The authors draw on the studies of Russian, Arab, Persian and Central Asian scholars who reflected upon certain aspects of Ibn Hazm’s thinking. The authors come to the conclusion about Ibn Hazm’s deep understanding of psychological and pedagogical peculiarities defining love relationship between a man and a woman, who observe origins, types, signs and results of love. The description of the feeling is illustrated by means of multiple examples from real life and the author’s personal experience. It is argued that Ibn Hazm’s thoughts are still relevant today.

One psychological impact experienced by women victims of violence in courtship depression. This study aims to reduce the symptoms of depression by using Empathic Love Therapy. This research uses a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design model. Three women aged 21-23 years, experiencing severe depression based on Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) participated in eight therapy sessions. The results of quantitative analysis with the Friedman Test showed that there were differences in depression scores before treatment, after treatment and after the follow-up process. This result is supported by the average value of depression which decreases from before treatment, after treatment and after the follow-up process. Besides, Empathic Love Therapy has also been shown to affect decreasing manifestations of depression both in emotional, cognitive, motivational and physical/vegetative aspects. Meanwhile, the description analysis shows that the Empathic Love Therapy session is effective and useful to help participants identify themselves towards recovery. Therefore, it can be concluded that Empathic Love Therapy is effectively used to reduce the symptoms of depression in female victims of dating violence. Empathic Love Therapy can heal wounds for victims of violence in courtship by fostering empathic love in the participants so that the level of depression decreases.

The emotional component takes part in the response reactions through the somatic effect of which it influences the behaviour. The man having lost his last connection with the world grieves duple and his environment must pay great attention not to lose also him. Every medico-surgical intervention belongs to the stress factors. Both contain psychopathological elements and a long psychotherapy accomplished by a specialist is needed, considerate-protective environment for the accommodation in the normal life, for the resocialization. The biological stress is a long succession of active, interactive mutual effect. This relation which always consists of the difference of value-power-intensity is, like an example of today, a chain of action of two fighter during which they get the offensive and defensive conduct in exchanged role. From the point of view of the human individual life the psyche (psychism) is a subsystem. If still we take it out of this relationship with investigational aim then we have to consider it a system.

Both intelligence and personality are the Allah’ (S) grace that the two of them have similarities and differences, which are seen according to Islamic educational psychology. This study aimed to examine the differences between them. This research was a literature review with qualitative design by taking material sources from literature studies in books, theses, journals, and other electronic sources that can be scientifically justified. This research showed that there are similarities and differences between intelligence and personalities according to Islamic educational psychology. Both the meaning and the aspects seem good on them. Among those meanings, there is the word “Aqal” which in the context of intelligence it was used to obtain the acquaintance, while in the context of personality it was used as the base of the attitude. In these aspects, the intelligence and personality have the differences; intellectual intelligence is used to grow the intellectual aspects, intellectual rational personality is used behavioral base, as well as while it appears the differences between spiritual-moral intelligence and idealistic personality, spiritual-moral intelligence is used to apply norms or values and idealistic personality is to love norms or values.

It has paid specific attention to the issue of forming social “self” as contradictory unity of will to power and desire for understanding, support. The philosophical point of view concerning the “I - you” connection as the basis of “I”. The main conclusion of article is the connection social and religious aspects in understanding of forming personality. It is also concluded that successful adherence to social standards of behavior, as well as orientation to cultural values and ideas, helps individuals to implement their program, build social ties of friendship, love and cooperation.

Spirituality is an attitude that reflects the spirit of religiosity and religion. Spirituality includes many special things such as admiration, gratitude, feelings of love, compassion, and the desire to be close to God. One of the factors that influence spirituality is psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being of UIN Ar-Raniry students. This study uses a quantitative approach with the correlational method. The Sampling was carried out using a proportionate stritified random sampling technique of 342 students at UIN Arraniry, Banda Aceh. Data was collected using two questionnaires, (1)Spirituality Scale which was made based on aspects of Underwood (2006) with a reliability result of α = 0.929, and (2) Psychological Well-Being Scale which was made based on aspects of Ryff (1989) ) with a reliability result of α = 0.927. The data analysis used in this study is the Spearman Rank correlation which shows that there is a relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being, with an r2 value of 0.577, with p = 0.000 (<0.05), which indicates that there is a very significant positive relationship between spirituality with psychological well-being in UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh students affected by Covid-19

This study aims to describe the psychological conflict, psychological aspects, and the factors that influence the psychological aspects of the main character Juang. The results show that the conflict experienced by Juang's character is an external conflict which is divided into conflicts between humans. The conflict is based on the stigma that says that Juang's family is someone traitor to the nation, the internal conflict that Juang experienced was when his friends were busy teasing Nadiya while she was reading a book so she felt disturbed and chose to separate herself from the real world and continue reading her book. The psychological aspect of fighting based on Sigmund Freud's theory works perfectly. The understanding of the id is the most basic personality system, the system that is innate instincts lives with instinctive desires. The fighting ego cannot fulfill the id then the superego works less than perfect and cannot control the id's instinctive desires. Broadly speaking, Juang Juang's psychological turmoil is divided into 2, namely, (1) Factors that influence Juang to be strong in living life as an idealist, including competence motives, love motives, values motives, and attitudes. (2) Factors that influence Juang's feelings include curiosity motives, cultural factors and ecological factors.

The article is devoted to the work of Mahmud Kashani (d. 735/1334-35), who was a sheikh of the Suhravardiya Sufi order and the author of several significant works. The object of analysis was one of the parts of his most famous work — the prose treatise “The lamp that indicates the true path, and the key to a sufficient amount [of mystical knowledge]”. The article deals with the religious views and scientific heritage of Mahmud Kashani. A commented translation of part of the first section “On Love” from the tenth chapter “Explanation of mystical states” of the specified work is proposed. Since Mahmud Kashani is also credited with the poem “Treasures of Secrets and Symbols of the Righteous”, dedicated to the psychological aspects of mystical love, we have also translated one of its chapters. Comparison of fragments of these works shows significant discrepancies in the explanation of love, which may be due to the fact that the author expounds the concept of love of ascetic Sufism in the first essay, and Sufism “based on love” in the second. The second direction goes back to the composition of the “Revelation of Love” by the Persian mystical philosopher Ahmad Ghazali. It is also possible that ‘Izz ad-Din Mahmud is not the author of the poem “Treasures of Secrets…”.

The 20thcentury has witnessed a plethora of war stories, but among them Salinger’s “For Esme with Love and Squalor,” a minor masterpiece as Paul Alexander calls it, stands out. It also falls among those typical Salingerian child-adult relationships that highlight the non-phony members of society with many things in common distinguishing them from the other so-called normal members of the society. In the current study, characters are studied from a psychological point of view and classified into two major groups by the researchers. The first group and the main focus of the study is the minority of society and the second group relates to the majority or commonality. The minority group includes Salinger’s heroes and protagonists who are later known as psychoneurotic. This first group feels affinity to the children who are far away from the hostility and harshness of adults’ world as, to Salinger, the concept of innocence means being away from the false standards and hypocrisy of the majority of the insensitive society. The researchers try to distinguish between these two groups from different psychological and psychoanalytic aspects. Despite the contrast between these two groups, there are some similarities in their sexual conceptions and psychological adjustment that clarify similarities in traits and responses in the form of adopting different mechanisms to adjust and remove tensions and alleviate anxiety employing the mechanisms Freud calls palliative remedies.

The article deals with the problem of the relationship of adult children to their parents. The study consisted of two parts. The purpose of the first part was to obtain the most complete picture of the possible aspects of the relationship of adult children to their parents without taking into account the prevailing options. The research method was a series of slightly structured interviews. With the help of a qualitative analysis of the conducted slightly structured interviews, generalized categories describing different aspects of the relationship of adult children to their parents are identified. Based on the data obtained, a questionnaire was compiled, which was used in the second part of the study. The questionnaire was filled out by 146 respondents. The results were analyzed using factor analysis. There are 8 factors that characterize the subjective perceptions of adult children about their attitude to their parents: the relationship of love and a sense of comfort; caring with problems of compliance with parental expectations; insults and claims; criticism; emphasizing the importance of relationships with grandparents; custody is down to parents; emotional dependence with separation problems, as well as the perception of parents as a model and a model. The novelty of this study was the development of a questionnaire using the method of a slightly structured interview, which made it possible to identify a number of significant aspects of these relationships when considering the relationship of adult children to their parents

Through this analysis, the paper seeks to offer a nuanced understanding of how Shakespeare masterfully crafted characters whose emotional journeys resonate with universal human experiences. In addition to exploring the psychoanalytical aspects of Shakespearean characters' love, this paper also investigates the socio-cultural influences shaping their romantic dynamics. By examining the historical context in which these plays were written and performed, it aims to illuminate the ways in which societal norms and expectations intersect with individual psychology to influence characters' behaviors and choices. Various forms of self-loss have been described as aspects of mental illness (e.g., depersonalization disorder), but might self-loss also be related to mental health? In this integrative review and proposed organizational framework, we focus on self-transcendent experiences (STEs)—transient mental states marked by decreased self-salience and increased feelings of connectedness. We first identify common psychological constructs that contain a self-transcendent aspect, including mindfulness, flow, peak experiences, mystical-type experiences, and certain positive emotions (e.g., love, awe). We then propose psychological and neurobiological mechanisms that may mediate the effects of STEs based on a review of the extant literature from social psychology, clinical psychology, and affective neuroscience. We conclude with future directions for further empirical research on these experiences.

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Objective. </strong>To describe the relations between liking visual representations of male same-sex romance and gender representations of young female fans of BL. <strong>Background. </strong>Nowadays there is a globally spread interest in manga among teenagers. Manga has a vast diversity of styles, genres, and followers. Nevertheless, some heterosexual girls quite often demonstrate stable interest in the manga sub-genre focusing on homoerotic relationships between young – and frequently androgynous – male characters. This research has addressed an issue whether heterosexual girls’ liking for visual representations of male homosexuality in Boy’s Love (BL) comics relates to their gender representations. <strong>Study design. </strong>The survey among the members of the Internet Social Media Manga Publics included: description of socio-psychological effects of viewing BL pictures, scaling attitudes towards masculinity ideology, exploration of gender role beliefs and description of femininity concepts. Comparison of the data between BL fans and other members of Manga Publics being acquainted with Boys’ Love, but deliberately neglecting it. Mann–Whitney U test, Fisher F test, and Pearson’s chi-squared test are used. <strong>Participants. </strong>Russian sample: 140 female respondents 11-45 years old (M=17,95; SD=4,84). Main group consists of 90 respondents 11-45 years old (M=18,88; SD=5,22). Control group consists of 50 respondents 12-27 years old (M=16,79; SD=3,10). <strong>Measurements. </strong>Questionnaire of socio-demographic characteristics. Author’s scale of socio-psychological effects of visual representations. Masculinity Ideology in Relationships Scale by J.H. Pleck, F.L. Sonenstein, L.C. Ku. Gendered Personality Characteristics (I.S. Klyotsina). Masculinity and Femininity Questionnaire by T.A. Bessonova – psycho-semantic version by N.V. Dvoryanchikov for examining individual femininity constructs. <strong>Results. </strong>Girls that fond of homoerotic drawn fictions prefer non-normative gendered traits combinations and give specific interpretation of their femininity. BL followers significantly often describe their femininity with traditionally masculine traits. Gender polarization is weak. Gender identity of female BL fans comply with non-orthogonal conceptualization. They believe that core of gender identity in every human being should consist of gender-neutral characteristics. Male emotionality, represented in homoerotic drawings, arrests attention of all respondents. But BL fans are less likely to perceive men in the light of normative (hegemonic) masculinity. <strong>Conclusions.</strong> Straight girls’ enthusiasm for BL is grounded in the possibility of apprehending their gender non-normativity/non-conformity within a fictional realty, and in BL manga meta-genre capability to display adequately significant aspects of new non-normative gender practices and ensure their social affirmation.</p>

His last stage of life is understood as a time of reminiscence that brings up past conflicts. This study offers an opportunity to explore the moral and psychological aspects of guilt, regret and forgiveness, which trigger the process that Robert N. Butler called “life review.” It also aims to examine Murdoch’s philosophical concepts about love and her idea of unself.

Layla's Majnun by Sheikh Nizami was one of the classics. This book is interesting because it describes the poignant and tragic love story between qays and layla. The study aims to quantify the results of the main character's personality analysis (qays) in literature. The problem that was raised was how qays was in layla majnun's novel. The methods used approach literary psychology. Results have shown that the novel contains a number of relevant psychological aspects to analyze on male figures (qays), such as id, ego, superego, and erotomania.

Online romance scams have emerged as a pervasive and emotionally devastating form of fraud in the digital age. These scams exploit individuals emotionally, financially, and psychologically, leaving victims traumatized and financially crippled. Online romance scams involve perpetrators assuming false identities to establish fake romantic relationships with unsuspecting individuals, ultimately leading to financial exploitation. This research delves into the concept of pastoral care as a holistic approach to mitigating the risk of online romance scams and supporting victims. Online romance scams represent a modern challenge with profound emotional and financial consequences. Internet love scams are a sort of organized crime that takes place on the internet. It may be viewed as a crime involving a deliberate breach of the law using deceit in order to obtain monetary advantage from specific victims. Many examples of Internet love scams go undetected. Pastoral care, with its holistic approach, offers a promising avenue for prevention and support. By addressing emotional, psychological, spiritual, and financial aspects, pastoral care can empower individuals and communities to guard against these scams and provide much-needed solace and recovery for victims. Additionally, the impact of pastoral care contributes to the resilience of communities in the face of this evolving threat.

Novel is a kind of literary works which loads lots of character education values. It is created by extraordinary imaginative elements. This article aims at describing character education values in the novel entitled Ayah written by Andrea Hirata. The analysis applied psychology of literature approach. The result of analysis shows that in total there are fifteen different character education values found out in the novel, namely religiousity, honesty, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, democracy, curiousity, national spirit, love country, appreciation, friendly/communicative, love peace, social care, responsibility. It is suggested that the result of this research can be an input for considering the importance of character education values as capitals for the students to face the upcoming era, beneficial for the Indonesian language and literature teacher-learning process, and ideas for further research to develop literary education, particularly related to psychological and character education value aspects.

Esta investigación atiende aspectos de la aprobación social buscada por los estudiantes adolescentes usuarios de Instagram por medio del análisis de sus perfiles, correlacionado con los resultados de la aplicación de instrumentos estadísticos confiables sobre los cambios en su autoestima con relación al uso de esta red social.

The data collection techniques used in this study are literature studies. The source of data in this study is the novel "Anak Rantau" by Ahmad Fuadi. The results of the data analysis include aspects of life that occurred in the main character Hepi in overseas. The conclusion of the motivational aspects of life is in the form of (1) The motivational aspect of need for achievement, namely motivation to be liked, motivation to be liked, and motivation to be accepted. (2) The motivational aspects of need for affiliation are motivation to obtain appreciation, motivation to obtain love and belonging. (3) The motivational aspect of need for power is to require power and appear to have an influence on others and the need for a sense of security.

This study is qualitative designed to analyze the character of the novel through psychological approach. The subject of the study is the works of D.H. Lawrence, focusing on the novel "Sons and Lovers". Two kinds of corpuses for analysis were literary elements corpuses, plot, theme, setting and atmosphere, point of view and the main characters corpuses of Gertrude Morel, Walter Morel, William Morel & Miriam Leiver. Data were collected from literary research and library research. The study revealed that the main characters of sons and lovers are round ones. Miriam was said to be very religious, yet she had sexual intercourse before her marriage. It is shown that there are some aspects of moral quality. Educational value appeared in nuance that revenge does not give us satisfaction. Through out the novel, relevant implication appeared that sexual desire does not belong to love. Sex is also physiological needs and sometimes an expression of love. The self‑actualization need is dominant in Paul.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the aspects of <Hasaenggiujeon> included in Shin Gwanghan's Gijaegii. As a research method, in order to examine the aspects of poetry inserted in classical novels, the author was considered and the genre recognition was considered in the literary style at the time, and six works inserted in <Hasaengkiwoojeon> were analyzed. The history of literature has developed from the lyrical genre to a major. Poetry inserted into classical novels shows the development of the narrative genre in an era where the lyric genre is active. Shin Gwang-han lived in the early Joseon Dynasty. At this time, it was an era centered on the lyric genre. <Hasaengkiwoojeon> belongs to a love story with a biographical character. In the story of a man and a woman meeting each other and overcoming obstacles and achieving love, the psychological description of the characters is very important. In the early Joseon Dynasty, narrative techniques representing the psychology of characters did not develop, and the role was replaced by inserted poems. It contributed to the completeness of the narrative by revealing the psychology of the character by taking advantage of the characteristics of the poem revealing the emotion.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the figurative-motivic and structural-compositional series of V. Pelevin’s short story “Nika” (1992), which is well-known among readers and researchers. The research aims to identify the main artistic mechanisms for creating a mystification, which the writer undertook in the text, ensuring the illusion of a “love story” that unfolded between the narrator and Nika. The author of the work focuses mainly on the image of the title character and emphasizes those structural and semantic moments that the novelist imitated in the mystifying space of the text. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time it examines not only the linguistic features of the mystification undertaken by the prose writer (wordplay, the use of ambiguity, polysemy, semantic shades of paronyms, modality, pun, etc.), but also the structural-compositional, plot-motivic, speech-stylistic, situational, behavioral-psychological, portrait, etc. aspects that Pelevin reproduced playfully in order to present the cat heroine in a different receptive and conceptual plane without distorting her real story. As a result, it is proved that the writer’s goals were not limited to a postmodern game, as previously believed by critics, but demonstrated the broad possibilities of realistic prose.

Critically acclaimed writer, Ian McEwan, has been recognized as a pioneer for writing unique forms of fiction. His craftsmanship has been explained as “rational”, “controlled”, and “precise”. The narrative organization in his works brings out the human nature, which is at times, introduced as misled, confused, and guilt ridden. Influenced by Freud, McEwan has written novels which probe into the psyche of the characters so deeply that they resemble psychological case studies. It is here argued that a psychological reading can be done based on the theories of Erik Erikson; namely, identity crisis and identity formation of the characters. Furthermore, to provide a richer theoretical background, narratology is incorporated. Monika Fludernik‟s narratological novel approach sheds light on issues of misinterpretation and unreliability to further verify the psychological aspects of the work. Atonement and Enduring Love have been analyzed as evidence on the basis of theories in narratology and psychology. Finally, drawing on both theories, a new form of character representation will be manifested on identity and self-recognition.
