The Gardyne Family farm a 710 hectare property at Chatton near Gore in Southland. The property is intensively farmed with 9,375 stock units, sheep and beef being carried at rates of 17.5 su/ha on the cropping property and 12.5 su/ha on the Pyramid Hill grazing property. White clover is the key to animal, crop and herbage production supplying nitrogen for highly productive pastures, building organic matter levels for the cropping rotation, and providing very high quality feed for finishing young stock. However, the following question then arises: is BNF fundamentally different from fertiliser N with respect to N losses, especially nitrate-N leaching risk? AbstractIn this paper, we use the InVEST model and five periods of land use data from 1980 to 2020 to assess the habitat quality of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in Western China, which has characteristics of a typical fragile ecosystem. We further analyse the spatial and temporal characteristics of habitat quality evolution and its relationship with land use and landscape pattern indices to explore the close relationship between regional habitat quality changes and human natural resource conservation and utilization. The research results show that the overall habitat quality of Ningxia Hu

Résumé :
Abstract Disease prevention is part of medical thinking since the time of Hippocrates in the 5th century B.C. However, as a scientific concept, it developed only since the middle of the 19th century through the work of Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch developing and working along with the new germ theory of infectious diseases. Chronic diseases, cardiovascular ones in particular, came into focus only after WW II culminating in the work of Geoffrey Rose and his publication on Sick individuals and sick populations, published 1985. At that time, the new concept of health promotion entered the stage

Abstract Purpose of Review The aim of this study was to compile all cases of yellow fever (YF) recorded in the Guiana Shield (GS), a region located on the northeastern shore of South America. Recent Findings Yellow fever causes several deaths in French Guiana during the last years. In this context, we wanted to know if it was due to a lack of vaccination or a reemergence of YF as in Brazil and if it was the same trouble in the neighborhood countries. Summary People living in or returning from the GS with YF-compatible symptoms confirmed by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction betwee

Résumé :
Abstract Marčenko-Pastur PCA (MPPCA) denoising is emerging as an effective means for noise suppression in MRI acquisitions with redundant dimensions. However, MPPCA performance can be severely compromised by spatially correlated noise— an issue typically affecting most modern MRI acquisitions— almost to the point of returning the original images with little or no noise removal. In this study, we explore different threshold criteria for PCA component classification that enable efficient and robust denoising of MRI data even when noise exhibits high spatial correlations, especially in cases wher

Résumé :
IntroductionRegional identity is a constant construction, in which landscape, human activity and cultural imaginary build a narrative of place. For the Tasmanian Midlands, the interactions between history, ecology and agriculture both define place and present problems in how to recognise, communicate and balance these interactions. In this sense, regionality is defined not so much as a relation of margin to centre, but as a specific accretion of environmental and cultural histories. According weight to more-than-human perspectives, a region can be seen as a constellation of plant, animal and h
