Résumé :
This paper summarizes the distribution, provides a taxonomic bibliography from 1758 to 2002, and lists all available species, generic names, and synonymies of the family Rhinocricidae (Diplopoda: Spirobolida). At present, there are 528 nominal species and 23 subspecies of Rhinocricidae placed in 27 genera and 3 subgenera. One new combination is proposed: Rhinocricus obesus rubicundus is transferred to Anadenobolus [Anadenobolus obesus rubicundus (Brölemann, 1905)].

Jamaican millipedes in the Anadenobolus species complex provide an unusual case study of arthropods having undergone speciation in the absence of conspicuous divergence of male genitalia. A multivariate analysis of variance and relative warp analysis of nonuniform components show that although male genitalic shape is statistically different among species, many specimens are 'misplaced' in morphological space, perhaps consis

This paper documents the mtDNA genealogy and molecular taxonomy of the Anadenobolus excisus millipede species-group on the island of Jamaica. This endemic species-group originally comprised two nominal species, A. excisus (Karsch) and A. holomelanus Pocock. However, the latter species was considered by Hoffman likely to be a subspecies of the former, owing to their overall morphological and gonopodal similarity (the secondary sexual features most commonly used to delineate millipede species). We summarise molecular and morphological data that paints a rather different picture of the diversity

Résumé :
ABSTRACT The genus Rhinocricus Karsch, 1881 currently includes more than 60 species described and registered from Brazil. In this paper, four new species from southern and southeastern Brazil are described and illustrated: Rhinocricus sooretama sp. nov., Rhinocricus bifurcatus sp. nov., Rhinocricus montenegrinus sp. nov., and Rhinocricus fortaleza sp. nov. All new species are based on both sexes.

We review the genus Erythrocricus Schubart, 1962 based on the type material of the species Erythrocricus sanguineostriatus (Schubart, 1962). We propose a new diagnosis, redescribe the type species, and propose a new synonymy and a new combination. In addition, a male-based key to both species recognized, including Erythrocricus electrofasciatus (Schubart, 1957), comb. nov. ex. Rhinocricus, is given.

Résumé :
Summary Ransomnema bravoae from the intestine of the endemic rhinocricid, Anadenobolus putealis, from Mexico, is redescribed. This species was originally described from the spirobolid Hiltonius carpinus from Morelos State, Mexico. A redescription is presented and a neotype proposed due to the loss of the type material. Ransomnema bravoae can be distinguished from all other described species of Ransomnema by the presence of a cervical expansion extending from the base of the buccal cone to approximately the last one-third of the muscular pharynx and is offset by a slight constriction at the ter
