Dolichopodidae, Chloropidae, Sciomyzidae, Syrphidae and Sphaeroceridae were highest in species richness in all sites, and Ephydridae were very high in two of the sites. Résumé :
We collated the literature available on the breeding activity of the Swainson’s Spurfowl Pternistis swainsonii and made use of reliable unpublished reports, nest record cards and field observations within the Springbok Flats, Limpopo Province, South Africa to establish breeding seasons and pairing behaviour. The onset of breeding (egg laying) is closely associated with rainfall, with male gonad development, population density and covey size (pairing behaviour), all correlated with rainfall. Peak breeding activity is from January–April in South Africa, February–May in Zimbabwe and March–June in

Résumé :
Magister Scientiae (Physiotherapy) - MSc(Physio)
The increasing spread of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), especially in the lowand middle-income countries calls for a more holistic and cost-effective measure to reduce its impact on society. One of the methods advocated for achieving this is health promotion. The Zambian government has called for a shift from curative to preventive management of diseases, including NCDs. Therefore, health professionals are being called upon to redirect their health care management approaches towards preventative care, incorporating health promotion.

Résumé :

This work investigates the lithospheric structure beneath the Mesozoic (~140 – ~110 Ma) Chilwa Alkaline Province (CAP) in southern Malawi and northeastern Mozambique using aeromagnetic and satellite gravity data (the World Gravity Model 2012 (WGM 2012). The CAP is a granite, syenite, nepheline syenite, and basanite province with minor intrusions of carbonatite bodies. It intrudes the Precambrian terranes of the Southern Irumide belt and the Unango complex. It is located on the northeastern margin of the Mesozoic Shire graben and on the southeastern edge of the Cenozoic Malawi rift, w
