Résumé :
AbstractThis paper is an attempt to solve a key problem of phenomenology. The problem is given with the double role of the revealing capacity for which phenomena are present. On the one hand, this capacity must be prior to all phenomena, because it allows phenomena to show themselves and thus to be what they essentially are. On the other hand, the revealing capacity must be situated in the midst of phenomena; it must belong to the phenomenal world in order to have access to it. This problem has been discussed in different versions by Husserl, Heidegger, and Merleau-Ponty, but in every version

Sensor networks (SN) are increasingly used for the observation and monitoring of spatiotemporal phenomena and their dynamics such as pollution, noise and forest fires. In multisensory systems, a sensor node may be equipped with different sensing units to observe and detect several spatiotemporal phenomena at the same time. Simultaneous detection of different phenomena can be used to infer their spatial interactions over space and time. For this purpose, decentralized spatial computing approaches have shown their potential for effective reasoning on spatial phenomena within a sensor network. Ho

Replicability takes on special meaning when researching phenomena that are embedded in space and time, including phenomena distributed on the surface and near surface of the Earth. Two principles, spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity, are generally characteristic of such phenomena. Various practices have evolved in dealing with spatial heterogeneity, including the use of place-based models. We review the rapidly emerging applications of artificial intelligence to phenomena distributed in space and time and speculate on how the principle of spatial heterogeneity might be addressed. We i

Geospatial phenomena often have spatial heterogeneity, which is caused by differences in the data generation process from place to place. There are two types of spatial heterogeneity: continuous and discrete, and there has been much discussion about how to analyze one type of spatial heterogeneity. Although geospatial phenomena can have both types of spatial heterogeneities, previous studies have not sufficiently discussed how to consider these two different types of spatial heterogeneity simultaneously and how to detect them separately, which may lead to biased estimates and the wrong interpr

Epidemics are a constant threat, able to bring the entire world to a halt in the case of extreme outbreaks. Computational epidemiology seeks to understand the spread of disease at a population rather than individual level. In this understanding, the field hopes to predict the spread of disease by either simulating microscopic interactions giving rise to infection, or by using mean-field models to emulate the average resultant epidemic spread. This knowledge can be used to predict the future spread of disease and create specific intervention strategies which exploit our understanding of disease

Statistical distributions of urban noise levels are influenced by many complex phenomena, including spatial and temporal variations in the source level, multisource mixtures, propagation losses, and random fading from multipath reflections. This article provides a broad perspective on the varying impacts of these phenomena. Distributions incorporating random fading and averaging (e.g., gamma and noncentral Erlang) tend to be negatively skewed on logarithmic (decibel) axes but can be positively skewed if the fading process is strongly modulated by source power variations (e.g., compound gamma).

Abstract. The article dwells upon the Earth remote sensing data as one of the basic directions of Geo-Information Science, a unique source of information on processes and phenomena occurring in almost all spheres of the Earth geographic shell (atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, etc.). The authors argue that the use of aerospace images by means of the information and communication technologies involvement in the learning process allows not only to increase the information context value of learning, but also contributes to the formation of students’ cognitive interest in such disciplines as g

Résumé :
The European Ocean Observing and Forecasting System (EOOFS) plays a pivotal role in understanding, monitoring, forecasting, and managing the complex dynamics and resources of Europe's Seas. It serves as a critical interdisciplinary system for addressing a myriad of challenges, from climate change impacts to marine resources management. However, to ensure its continued effectiveness, it is essential to identify and address the gaps within this system and provide actionable recommendations for improvements at short- and long-term. Therefore, this document serves as a baseline that can guide the

Résumé :
The study of architecture, urban planning and design at technical universities primarily offers a rational, technology- and practice-oriented education. The offer of a conceptual and socially critical approach to creation is only represented to a low degree. Students create projects that take into account the latest technical, environmental and architectural trends, but receive few assignments or conceive their designs as specific philosophical statements critically examining current social and political phenomena, whether on a local or trans-regional scale. By implementing courses and seminar

Résumé :
The objective of the research is developing a mobile application (on Android) designed to visualize the basic definitions of the discipline “Radiochemistry and radioecology” in 3D. Studying the education material of this discipline (phenomena of radionuclide, radioisotope, the nucleus, the fundamental particle etc and their specifics) requires a more sophisticated explanation from the teacher and dynamic dimensional image from the student. Decent detailed visualization of the study material makes this process easier. So applying the augmented reality is rational for the purpose of visualizing
