Abstract Since Belarus is rich in sphagnum bogs it is extremely important to develop ways to use the resources of sphagnum mosses with a number of useful properties. Sphagnum is the only genus in the class Sphagnopsida and includes 36 Bryophyta species in Belarus. Sphagnum mosses, which are widespread in Belarus, have great potential for possible use in contaminated water purification from various hydrophilic and hydrophobic solvents and salt solutions, in light industry and agriculture (considering the need of their renewal).

These siRNAs have been found to regulate gene expression in most taxa including seed plants, gymnosperms, ferns and mosses. In this study, bioinformatic and experimental PCR-based approaches were used as tools to analyze TAS3 and TAS6 loci in transcriptomes and genomic DNAs from representatives of evolutionary distant non-vascular plant taxa such as Bryophyta, Marchantiophyta and Anthocerotophyta. Résumé :
The aim of this study was to investigate the phytochemical constituents and antioxidant activity of methanol extracts of Sphagnum dividinium and S. gingensohnii. The phytochemical active substance groups in the methanol extracts of two different Sphagnum species, whose antioxidant content has been little studied, were determined using screening methods, and their antioxidant properties were determined using in vitro DPPH assay, CUPRAC assay and phosphomolybdate assay. According to the results obtained from the experiments, it was determined that the methanol extract of S. divinium contained on

Résumé :
New observations and an overview of the axillary hair structure in the groups of mosses sister to peristomate ones are provided. Three moss lineages, Takakiopsida, Sphagnopsida, and Andreaeobryopsida are characterized by mucilage release through the apical pore or otherwise apical structures. Axillary hairs of Andreaea however, differ from these lineages and are similar to all other mosses, where mucilage exudes through small temporary breakings along the entire cell wall of its upper cells. Fine structure of axillary hairs is illustrated for Sphagnum, Takakia, Andreaeobryum, and partly for An
