Résumé :
Drugs are most frequently administered by oral route. Although a few drugs taken orally are intended to be dissolved in the mouth, nearly all drugs taken orally are swallowed. A few drugs such as antacids are swallowed for their local action in the gastrointestinal tracts. Hence the above study demonstrated that combination of HPMC K4M and HPMC K15M can be used to formulate sustained release matrix tablets of Rimopride Citrate Dihydrate. This can sustain the drug release up to 24 hours as per standard dissolution profile. This can be expected to reduce the frequency of administration and decre

Formulations for sustained medication release are very useful in the treatment of chronic disorders. The oral route has selected matrix tablets as the most likely type of prolonged drug release. In order to generate therapeutic activity for a protracted duration, matrix tablets maintain a stable plasma drug concentration and sustain the rate of release of the drug throughout time. In preparations with a short half-life and high dosage frequency, extended-release is crucial. The matrix regulates how quickly the medication is released. The maceration of dried powder of Garcinia mangostana fruit husk with ethyl acetate gave yellow crystalline powder of mangostin. The yield was calculated as 7.47%. The identification of the Garcinia mangostanahusk extract was carried out by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and differential scanning calorimetry. The TLC of mangostin was done by using the alumina sheet and ethyl acetate: hexane (3:1) as mobile phase. The Rf value as compared with standard mangostin was

Résumé :
Little Shoepack and Shoepack lakes in Voyageurs National Park, Minnesota, are home to native populations of Muskellunge (Esox masquinongy). Due to the small size of these lakes, 20.8 ha and 123 ha, respectively, and the associated, predicted small size of these Muskellunge populations, resource managers are concerned about their persistence. A recent population assessment completed for Shoepack Lake Muskellunge indicated that the population may be below a threshold at which a genetic bottleneck could threaten its persistence. Since Little Shoepack Lake is approximately 20% of the size of Shoep

The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) is promoting the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) for America Act, introduced in Congress in June 2020. An SIA press release describes the bill as “bipartisan legislation that would invest tens of billions of dollars in semiconductor manufacturing incentives and research initiatives over the next 5-10 years to strengthen and sustain American leadership in chip technology, which is essential to our country’s economy and national security.” On June 8, 2021, the Senate approved $52 billion for the CHIPS for America Act, ded

Résumé :
This paper, which will be released as the lead chapter of the 2021–2022 PIDS Economic Policy Monitor, reviews the Philippines’ macroeconomic performance in 2021 and the first half of 2022, analyzes recent developments and challenges shaping the economy’s near-term outlook, and presents macroeconomic projections for 2022 and 2023. With the country’s sustained economic reopening, the analysis suggests that GDP growth may grow by about 7.1 percent, but economic activity may weaken in 2023 as the global economic environment deteriorates. Inflation will likely continue to be elevated in 2022 but ma

Résumé :
Both the genes and cDNA sequences encoding the b-subunits of black carp LH and FSH were isolated, cloned and sequenced. Sequence analysis of the bcFSHb and LHb5'flanking regions revealed that the promoter region of both genes contains canonical TATA sequences, 30 bp and 17 bp upstream of the transcription start site of FSHb and LHb genes, respectively. In addition, they include several sequences of cis-acting motifs, required for inducible and tissue-specific transcriptional regulation: the gonadotropin-specific element (GSE), GnRH responsive element (GRE), half sites of estrogen and androgen

Résumé :
The goal of our BARD proposal was to build both the necessary infrastructure and knowledge for using the CRISPR/Cas9-based gene drive system to control the whitefly Bemisia tabaci. Our research focused on achieving three main goals: (1) establishing a CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing system for producing genetically-edited B. tabaci; (2) generating and testing CRISPR/Cas9-mediated mutations targeting genes that represent two gene drive strategies: population replacement and population suppression; (3) using computer modeling to optimize strategies for applying CRISPR/Cas9 to control B. tabaci populati
