Résumé :
Tento článek diskutuje možné konsekvence neoliberalismu pro současné university. Zaměřuje se v perspektivě kritické pedagogiky na možné konflikty neoliberalismu s akademickou svobodou jakožto hlavní součástí akademického ducha na univerzitách. Článek je rozdělen do dvou částí. První část přibližuje kritickou pedagogiku, její kořeny a současnou podobu, včetně limitů, které tento koncept má. Druhá část se již v kriticko-pedagogickém pohledu věnuje neoliberální proměně výzkumu a výuky na univerzitách na příkladu pedagogických fakult. Závěr nastiňuje možnosti kritické pedagogiky k pěstování akademického ducha na univerzitách. Shledává je například ve výzkumu nezávislém na grantových schématech, avšak relevantních pro odbornou komunitu, v citlivém managementu univerzit a v kurikulu pregraduální přípravy učitelů akcentujícím spíše svobodného učitele nežli kompetenční orientaci vzdělávání diktovanou shora. Článek tak ústí do smířlivé vize udržitelného akademického života, která balancuje na pomezí mezi ekonomickou dimenzí univerzit na straně jedné a akademickou svobodou nezávislou na trhu práce na straně druhé.

This Master´s Thesis is concerned with freedom at work. The aim of this thesis, is describe, analyse and evaluate the concept "Freedom at work" in three particular companies. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the theoretical basis, principles and methods related to this area. Data are largely based on the academic literature. The practical part represents best practices of liberal companies abroad. In this part selected companies Etnetera a.s., IReSoft, s.r.o. and Country Life, s.r.o. are presented. There is also analysis of democratic principles in these companies, survey, survey evaluation and formulation of recommendations. To achieve the goals of this work are used these methods: comparison of theory with practice, interviews with the members of the personnel department and the director, interviews with employees of liberal companies, analysis of internal documents and questionnaires. The acquisition of this work is a formulation of recommendations that emerged from the comments and suggestions of employees in the questionnaire survey.

Companies running a business in the 21st century are facing heavily turbulent environment full of changes. Highest profiting companies are mainly those that can react to the changes faster and better than their competitors. However, basic work principles and methods of work organizing slowly stop suiting the needs of turbulent and change-demanding business environment. These principles simply aren't flexible enough. The right answer to higher flexibility demand could be freedom at work. This thesis examines the influence of freedom at work on selected economic indicators of companies operating in the field of information technology, especially their performance. The theoretical part describes freedom and responsibility, as well as concept of freedom at work and characterizes typical signs of classical and liberal companies. The empirical part defines a model that is capable of determining a level of freedom of any organization. This model is then applied to the sample of surveyed IT companies. After determining the level of freedom for each of the surveyed companies, companies are subsequently involved in the research examining the impact of freedom at work on performance, productivity and wage cost per employee of IT companies.

The main concern of this master thesis is in the relation between management control systems and management style. In particular it is the management style called liberating leadership, which is characteristic for so called democratic companies, that is subject of the research. The main goal of this thesis is to examine whether it is possible to establish management control systems in such companies given the principles they are built on. Further question is whether and eventually how this management style should be reflected in management control system. The answer to the latter question is introduced using also the outcomes of survey conducted among the executives of companies that endorse the principles of democratic workplace.

Résumé :
The focus of this diploma thesis is to describe the position of ex-prisoners on the labour market and how their operations on that market influence the society. In this paper, I will be looking into the social and state budget costs that these people cause, and why we can consider them as another vulnerable group on the labour market. The factors that lower their chances to succeed are lower productivity, level of education, and also statistical discrimination by employers that leads to demanding expectations on possessing a clean record. I will also focus my attention to the solutions that are currently in place in the Czech Republic, as success on the labour market is an important element to lowering the relapse rate. In the Czech Republic, the relapse rate is between 60 to 65 percent, which is lot higher than in other countries that have been trying to solve this problem for a longer period of time. This thesis confirms the hypothesis that this problem in the Czech Republic is not being treated on the same level as in other countries, and therefore we could learn and apply other solutions from abroad. Half-way houses have proven to be an effective solution and it would be good to put them into practice in Czech Republic as well.

Résumé :
The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the effectiveness of activities helping people released from an execution of punishment with integrating into the Czech labour market. Attention is drawn to the research question whether the monitored activities reduce reconviction of persons released from a prison and whether they increase their employability. The thesis concludes by identifying main problems of employing the target group and offers recommendation for their solution. The hypothesis about the impact of supportive programmes on the recidivism was not confirmed; on the other hand the positive impact of activities conducted by some non-profit organizations on the employability of released prisoners was affirmed. The recommendation of this thesis is to support the activities of non-profit organizations. This recommendation is supported by the results of a survey among the employers.

Résumé :
This thesis deals with a social curator, a specialized social worker profession. The first part describes attributes of humanity and ethical cathegories, which were chosen acording to the aim of this thesis and which were emhasized as important pillars in the work of a social curator. The next part of the thesis contains description of a target group with which the social curator works and it also describes the mainly occuring types of clients. In the third part of the thesis there is a list and evaluation of all the pillars that the social curator needs with the emphasis put on their meaning for their job. As a main source the author uses a czech legislation, which names a target group of the social curator as well as she uses an ethical code, which is not legaly binding, but it is a outline for a good quality work of all of social workers. It is important to always také into account the maturity and morally formed personaly of the social curator and also their knowledge of ethics and ethical cathegories and their practical use.

3 Abstract Diploma thesis "Key competencies of employees of democratic organizations and their development" is focused on the so-called free organizations and their requirments for potential employees. It follows the characteristics of this concept and its context from the perspective of managing organizations. In the research the required soft skills of these organizations have been compared with the requirments of other organizations, using the analysis of their recruitment ads. It also identifies those soft skills, which are required significantly more by free organizations. Following this, the thesis also deals with the development of competencies, for example in preparation for potencial employment in a free organization. The work deals with the selected ethical concepts of social work, such as human and person, freedom, conscience, values, suffering and death. These concepts are thoughtful and their understanding is deepened on the basis of the texts of Viktor Emil Frankl. In the work the personality of V. E. Frankl is presented, his method of logotherapy and existential analysis, further are presented the fields of ethics and social work. The selected concepts are introduced as they are introduced in the work of V. E. Frankl and in the works of representatives of existential philosophy whose approaches Frankl used. There is also evaluated the relevance of these concepts for ethics of social work on the basis of monographs and on the basis of the academic articles of the authors dealing with ethics in social work.The work pointed out the potential benefits of logotherapy and existential analysis of ethics of social work during the application of Frankl's psychotherapeutic methods into the fields of social work.

Résumé :
In this dissertation I am analysing certain aspects of labour, especially the ones that are of significant interest to moral philosophy within the church and its catholic doctrine. In the same time I identify the foundation for freedom and dignity of labouring human being that are being degraded especially in the present time economisation process. Further, I outline the issues associated with the changes within the division of labour from industrial revolution to present day and in the same time I present issues connected with labouring human being vs. human capital. Because freedom is the foundation of humanity I also describe issues connected with human rights in the context of universal and natural law. In this way I analyse Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its defence in an intercultural environment. Lastly, besides those theoretical concepts, I evaluate an Amnesty International CR project called "Business That is Worth It" which aims at supporting companies to a responsible management of employees rights protection especially in developing countries.
