Big data, data science, deep learning, artiﬁcial intelligence are the key words of intense hype related with a job market in full evolution, that impose to adapt the contents of our university professional trainings. Which artiﬁcial intelligence is mostly concerned by the job oﬀers ? Which methodologies and technologies should be favored in the training programs ? Which objectives, tools and educational resources do we needed to put in place to meet these pressing needs ? We answer these questions in describing the contents and operational resources in the Data Science orientation of the speciality Applied Mathematics at INSA Toulouse. We focus on basic mathematics training (Optimization, Probability, Statistics), associated with the practical implementation of the most performing statistical learning algorithms, with the most appropriate technologies and on real examples. Considering the huge volatility of the technologies, it is imperative to train students in self-training, this will be their technological watch tool when they will be in professional activity. This explains the structuring of the educational site github/wikistat into a set of tutorials. Finally, to motivate the thorough practice of these tutorials, a serious game is organized each year in the form of a prediction contest between students of Master degrees in Applied Mathematics for IA.

Human Resources Management : The Period of Change Significant reform of human resources methods was undertaken in Portugal after a careful examination of the situation, carried out by an independant commission. This study emphasized the lack of fiexibility as well as an excess of obstructive official procedures and the low level of salaries. The reform scheme established for the period 1987-1991 aims at revamping the salary structure, improving the efficiency of civil servants, adapting training programs and setting up incentives that encourage creativity and performance. Résumé: Les incidents perturbent le quotidien scolaire (Barrère, 2002). Ils constituent autant d’épreuves pour les enseignants débutants. L’analyse des incidents, réalisée selon une sociologie des acteurs, donne à voir la classe comme un lieu conflictuel engageant les jeunes enseignants dans des rapports de force inter-individuels par le déploiement de « stratégies de survie » (Woods, 1977). Le sentiment d’impuissance exprimé par les jeunes enseignants face aux situations difficiles montre l’importance de la constitution de ressources de formation. Nous analyserons celles qui ont été construites dans le cadre de Néopass@ction (dirigé par L. Ria), l’intérêt de ces ressources numériques, mais aussi leurs limites.School incidents management and beginning teachers’ professional practices: an analysis of Néopass@ction, a French web-based training supportAbstract: Incidents disturb schools’ everyday functioning (Barrère, 2002) and are experienced as ordeals by beginning teachers. When these incidents are analysed from a sociology of actors standpoint, the classroom appear as a polemical space; teachers engage in interpersonal power struggles by developing survival strategies (Woods, 1977). The sense of helplessness expressed by beginning teachers who are coping with critical situations show how important it is to develop training resources. Our aim is to analyse this kind of resources, namely the ones produced in the frame of the Néopass@ction project implemented in France under Luc Ria’s leadership. We will insist on the relevance, but also on the limits, of such resources.

Simulators are gradually becoming popular in hydraulic engineering. They allow real-time control of hydroelectric projects, help operators optimize facilities, and are excellent for training technical staff. This paper shows how to constitute a specialized simulator for each water resource system using a model builder and a set of site data. The model builder is based on digitization by finite element method. Resolution without linking is applied, allowing use of time-step variables. Each simulator constituted can operate in controlled or uncontrolled mode. An example illustrates the search for optimum generation mode for a network composed of three power plants. Ce travail pose le problème de l’utilisation judicieuse du centre de ressources multimédia de l’INJS de Yaoundé. La question centrale qu’il soulève est celle de savoir, comment évaluer la plus-value de cette infrastructure dans la performance des acteurs de cette institution. Une méthodologie adossée à l’analyse documentaire, à l’observation systématique non participante et dissimulée et le questionnaire, ont permis de découvrir que le centre de ressources multimédia de l’INJS fait l’objet d’usages académiques et non académiques. Ainsi, autant cet espace favorise la recherche des informations liées à la formation, la saisie des textes dans les langues des utilisateurs, la communication avec des acteurs du monde scientifique, ainsi que le divertissement, autant il donne lieu à des pratiques déviantes, caractérisées principalement par l’usage inapproprié de la messagerie et de l’image. Des propositions visant l’optimisation de l’apport de cet espace ont été formulées. Abstract This work raises the problem of the judicious use of the INJS multimedia resource center in Yaoundé. The central question it raises is that of knowing how to assess the added value of this infrastructure in the training of auditors of this institution. A methodology based on documentary analysis, systematic nonparticipant and concealed observation and questionnaire, revealed that the INJS multimedia resource center is a subject of academic and non-academic use. Thus, this space favors the search for information related to training, the entry of texts in the languages of the users, communication with actors of the scientific world. It equally gives rise to deviant practices, characterized mainly by the inappropriate use of messaging and imaging. However, proposals aimed at optimizing the contribution of this space have been formulated.

Résumé :

There is a high demand for specific training on the understanding and management of suicidal behaviors. We will present a summary of a massive open online course that was launched in France in 2018 for the first time. The structure of the program was simple: 5 modules presented on a weekly basis, each module contained several short videos with direct training, interviews or discussion. The MOOC offered as well other ressources such as access to a forum during the course, an updated bibliography and vocabulary for each module and an evaluation at the end of the modules. In the first year, the number of registered candidates for the course was very high (>10000) and more than a quarter completed the course (>2500), with participants from 82 countries. The quality of exchanges with the students was very high. The results of this ongoing experience provides interesting insights on how to improve access and motivation to specific training in the field of suicidal behavior for participants from very different backgrounds.DisclosureNo significant relationships.

Background: Certification exams are the final hurdle residents overcome to complete training. Despite their high-stakes nature there are few dedicated preparation resources. In response, we created the McMaster Internal Medicine Royal College Review Course and administered a survey to participants to assess the design of the course and its perceived value. Methods: The course was offered as three-hour lectures hosted every one to two weeks for a total of 15 sessions. Each session was dedicated to a specific subspecialty. Following completion of the exam, we distributed a survey to participating residents. Three iterations of this course were studied between 2018–2021. Results: 112/139 residents completed the survey. 92.8% of participants found the course valuable and 70.6% felt it helped to reduce exam anxiety. Most participants (78.6%) engaged with the course during the presentations and used the resources for review during independent study. Conclusion: This review course presents a valuable exam preparation resource for residents. This survey demonstrated a desire for the course to continue and may present an opportunity for other residency programs to offer similar courses. RésuméContexte: Les examens de certification sont le dernier obstacle que les résidents doivent franchir pour achever leur formation. Malgré les enjeux importants qu’ils représentent, il existe peu de ressources dédiées à la prépa-ration. C’est pourquoi nous avons créé le cours de révision du Collège royal de médecine interne de l’Université McMaster et mené une enquête auprès des participants afin d’évaluer la conception du cours et sa valeur perçue. Méthodes: Le cours a été proposé sous forme de conférences de trois heures organisées toutes les une à deux semaines, pour un total de 15 sessions. Chaque session était consacrée à une sous-spécialité spécifique. Une ois l’examen terminé, nous avons distribué une enquête aux résidents participants. Trois itérations de ce cours ont été étudiées entre 2018–2021. Résultats: 112/139 résidents ont répondu à l’enquête. 92,8% des participants ont trouvé le cours utile et 70,6% ont estimé qu’il avait contribué à réduire l’anxiété liée à l’examen. La plupart des participants (78,6 %) ont participé au cours pendant les présentations et ont utilisé les ressources pour réviser pendant les études indépendantes. Conclusion: Ce cours de révision constitue une ressource précieuse pour la préparation des examens pour les résidents. L’enquête a montré que les participants souhaitaient que le cours se poursuive et que d’autres programmes d’internat pourraient proposer des cours similaires.

Background: Smart pump technology is relatively new, and uncertainty exists regarding best practices for development and management of the drug libraries in these devices. In Canadian hospitals, IV smart pumps and their drug libraries are created and maintained according to recommendations from Accreditation Canada and guidelines from the US Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). Current compliance with these standards in Canada is unknown. However, neither organization provides specific operational steps detailing how to effectively create and manage a drug library, which leaves significant room for interpretation. Furthermore, the human resources dedicated to creation and management of these libraries in accordance with guidelines and standards are unknown. Objectives: To describe current compliance with standards and guidelines for smart pump drug libraries; the processes used for drug library set-up, management, training, and support; and the resources currently used for these activities in Canadian hospitals. Methods: A 43-question online survey was made available in spring 2021 to multidisciplinary team members involved in implementation of IV smart pumps and/or management of drug libraries in Canadian hospitals. Results: A total of 55 complete or partial responses were received. Most responses indicated that standards set by Accreditation Canada and ISMP were not being met, with only 30% (14/47) updating their libraries at least quarterly and 47% (20/43) performing quality reviews at least every 6 months. Although the majority of respondents reported regular monitoring of compliance, 30% (11/37) did not perform such monitoring. Results further indicated variation across Canadian hospitals in set-up, management, training, and support related to drug libraries, as well as variation in the human resources available for these activities. Conclusions: Canadian health authorities and organizations are not meeting current ISMP and Accreditation Canada standards for smart pumps. Variation exists in terms of strategies for creating and managing drug libraries, as well as in the training and resources needed to support these initiatives. Canadian health authorities and organizations should prioritize meeting these standards and should closely review the resources required to do so. RÉSUMÉ Contexte : La technologie des pompes « intelligentes » est relativement nouvelle et des zones d’ombre subsistent quant aux meilleures pratiques de développement et de gestion des bibliothèques de médicaments intégrées à ces appareils. Dans les hôpitaux canadiens, les pompes IV intelligentes et leurs bibliothèques sont créées et maintenues conformément aux recommandations d’Agrément Canada et aux lignes directrices de l’Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP; États-Unis). Le respect actuel de ces normes au Canada est inconnu. Cependant, aucune des organisations ne fournit de mesures opérationnelles particulières détaillant comment créer et gérer efficacement une bibliothèque de médicaments, ce qui laisse une grande marge d’interprétation. De plus, on ne connaît pas les ressources humaines consacrées à la création et à la gestion de ces bibliothèques conformément aux lignes directrices et aux normes. Objectifs : Décrire, dans un premier temps, dans quelle mesure les lignes directrices et les normes régissant les bibliothèques de pompes « intelligentes » sont respectées; ensuite, les processus utilisés pour mettre en place la bibliothèque de médicaments, la gérer, former et soutenir le personnel; et, finalement, les ressources actuellement utilisées pour ces activités dans les hôpitaux canadiens. Méthodes : Au printemps 2021, un sondage en ligne comportant 43 questions a été mis à la disposition des membres d’équipes multidisciplinaires impliquées dans la mise en œuvre des pompes intelligentes IV et/ou la gestion des bibliothèques de médicaments dans les hôpitaux canadiens. Résultats : Au total, 55 réponses complètes ou partielles ont été reçues. La plupart des réponses ont signalé que les normes établies par Agrément Canada et l’ISMP n’étaient pas respectées. En effet, seulement 30 % (14/47) actualisaient leur bibliothèque au moins tous les trimestres et 47 % (20/43) effectuaient des examens qualitatifs au moins tous les 6 mois. Bien que la majorité des répondants aient fait état d’un contrôle régulier de la conformité, 30 % (11/37) n’effectuaient pas un tel contrôle. Les résultats ont en outre indiqué des variations entre les hôpitaux canadiens en matière de configuration, de gestion, de formation et de soutien liés aux bibliothèques de médicaments, ainsi que des variations dans les ressources humaines disponibles pour ces activités. Conclusions : Les autorités et organismes de santé canadiens ne respectent pas les normes actuelles de l’ISMP et d’Agrément Canada pour les pompes intelligentes. On observe des variations en termes de stratégies de création et de gestion de bibliothèques de médicaments, ainsi que de formation et de ressources nécessaires pour soutenir ces initiatives. Les autorités et les organismes de santé canadiens devraient accorder la priorité au respect de ces normes et devraient examiner de près les ressources nécessaires pour y parvenir.

L’un des plus grands défis que les multinationales d’aujourd’hui doivent relever, si elles désirent rester compétitives et garder un avantage concurrentiel, est de disposer d’un capital humain formé en accord avec les objectifs stratégiques de la firme, afin d’être capables de réagir et de s’adapter constamment aux changements et aux difficultés imposés par son environnement concurrentiel, technologique et réglementaire. Ceci est d’autant plus vrai pour les multinationales industrielles dont les activités quotidiennes reposent sur l’utilisation d’outils informatiques et de technologies de l’information et de la communication, qui sont souvent objet de changements, d’améliorations et de mises à jour, auxquels les employés doivent s’adapter pour continuer à exécuter leurs tâches de manière efficiente et productive. L’un des rôles majeurs de la direction des ressources humaines est dès lors d’assurer que le capital humain de l’entreprise sera prêt à faire face aux challenges actuels et futurs, afin de permettre à la firme de continuer à exister sur le marché. Les questions que l’on pourrait se poser à ce sujet sont diverses : Quel est le rôle de la direction des ressources humaines dans l’accompagnement et la réalisation des objectifs de l’entreprise ? Quelles sont les différentes possibilités auxquelles les multinationales pourraient avoir recours en matière de formation continue de leurs employés ? Comment être sûr qu’un programme de formation est efficace et quels sont les critères d’évaluation qui permettent de déterminer cette efficacité ? Le sujet de la formation étant très vaste, nous ne pouvons aspirer à le traiter de manière exhaustive dans notre écrit, c’est la raison pour laquelle, dans le présent article, nous avons décidé de nous focaliser sur les deux principales pratiques en matière de formation dans les multinationales, à savoir, la formation sur site (on-site training), dans laquelle l’entreprise utilise ses propres moyens pour fournir la formation adéquate à ses employés, et la formation hors site (off-site training), dans laquelle, la formation est prodiguée hors des locaux de l’entreprise. Dans un premier temps, nous allons commencer par établir un état de l’art des écrits en matière de formation afin de mettre en exergue les différences et spécificités des formations sur site et hors site. Dans un second temps, nous présenterons la méthodologie et le cheminement employés pour notre étude. Enfin, nous essaierons de concrétiser nos propos par l’étude d’un cas concret, celui de la société Delphi, qui opère dans l’industrie des faisceaux électriques. Nous essaierons de détailler les pratiques adoptées par Delphi en matière de formation et de développement des compétences.

Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) offers numerous benefits and is recognized as an important competency within Internal Medicine (IM). Despite this, a significant educational gap exists, owing in large part to a lack of expertly trained faculty and structured training opportunities. A robust POCUS training program requires not only technical excellence among faculty but also leadership with expertise in program creation and administration, quality assurance, medical education, and research. A dedicated 6- to 12-month POCUS fellowship model in programs with well-established infrastructure allows for the development of these competencies and the establishment of a network of key POCUS contacts, and prepares trainees to create or expand POCUS programs at their centers. We propose that the expansion of dedicated General IM POCUS fellowships in Canada is imperative to addressing this educational bottleneck and shaping the future leaders of Canadian IM POCUS. RésuméL’échographie au point d’intervention (POCUS) offre de nombreux avantages et est considérée comme une compétence importante en médecine interne. Pourtant, il existe une lacune importante au chapitre de la formation, attribuable en grande partie au manque d’enseignants qualifiés et d’occasions de formation structurée. Un programme de formation solide sur la POCUS exige non seulement une excellence technique parmi le corps professoral, mais aussi un leadership démontrant une expertise dans la création et l’administration de programmes, l’assurance de la qualité, l’éducation médicale et la recherche. Un modèle de formation complémentaire de 6 à 12 mois consacrée à la POCUS dans des programmes dont l’infrastructure est bien établie permet d’acquérir ces compétences et d’établir un réseau de personnes-ressources clés sur la POCUS, et prépare les personnes en cours de formation à créer ou à élargir des programmes sur la POCUS dans leur centre. Nous proposons qu’il soit impératif d’élargir les formations complémentaires sur la POCUS en médecine interne générale au Canada pour remédier à ce goulot d’étranglement en matière de formation et façonner les futurs chefs de file de la POCUS en médecine interne au Canada.

Abstrait-Ce travail vise à étudier comment une expérience de formation à distance de trois jours pour enseignants, programmée d'urgence, pour développer chez ces enseignants les capacités d'utilisation de la plateforme numérique, la création et la gestion de ressources numériques, ainsi que la création et la gestion d'un évaluation, afin qu'ils soient en mesure d'assurer correctement la continuité pédagogique. La mise en place de ce mode de formation a été recommandée dans un état d'urgence en raison de la pandémie de Corona Virus qui a été connue dans le monde entier et qui a provoqué la fermeture des écoles, ce qui a forcé le passage du mode présentiel à l'enseignement à distance, au cours de l'année 2020. Cette formation à distance, qui concerne les enseignants des écoles, était nécessaire pour développer leurs capacités à utiliser ce nouveau mode d'enseignement.A partir du cadre de l'évaluation de la formation professionnelle, et à travers les outils de collecte de données construits et utilisés dans cette recherche, les résultats montrent une certaine évolution dans les conceptions de ces enseignants pour revisiter les objectifs de cette formation par les enseignants-formateurs pour son déploiement éventuel.

Lower-wage workers generally report limited access to formal learning opportunities. This paper investigates factors that influence learning among lower-wage workers. Using focus groups and a survey, it examines the role of demographics, self-efficacy, and outcome expectancies related to learning new skills, access to resources, and the moderating role of social capital. Despite their high levels of self-efficacy, expectancies, and motivation to learn, lowerwage workers report a low incidence of training, with only 13% receiving formal training from their employers and only 8% participating in formal training on their own initiative. Although social capital appears to increase the likelihood of participating in learning activities, lower-wage workers tend to report low levels of social capital. These results suggest that lower-wage workers would participate more in formal learning activities if they had better access to learning opportunities and if they had higher levels of social capital. Résumé Les petits salariés rapportent généralement avoir peu d’occasions de participer à des activités de formation. Cet article analyse les facteurs influençant l’apprentissage chez les petits salariés. À partir de groupes de discussion et d’un sondage, il s’attarde au rôle des facteurs démographiques, de l’autoefficacité et des attentes liées à l’apprentissage de nouvelles compétence et à l’accessibilité des ressources, et au rôle modérateur du capital social. Malgré leur haut degré d’autoefficacité, leurs attentes et leur motivation à apprendre, peu de formation est offerte aux petits salariés : seulement 13 p. 100 d’entre eux reçoivent de la formation formelle de leur employeur et 8 p. 100 participent à une formation de leur propre initiative. Bien que le capital social semble augmenter la probabilité de participation à des activités d’apprentissage, les petits salariés n’ont généralement pas un niveau élevé de capital social. Ces résultats laissent croire que les petits salariés participeraient davantage à des activités d’apprentissage formel si l’accessibilité à ces formations était facilitée et s’ils possédaient un niveau de capital social plus élevé.

It is still a fact that most bryologists per area are found in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, who have spent up to 200 years (as in Europe) in the exploration of their bryofloras with the result that these countries have not only floras for identification of the comparably low number of species but some countries have already detailed grid maps of the distribution of all species. On the other hand, there are vast regions in the tropics which are very insufficiently explored. So far, the knowledge of bryophytes in these regions was predominantly provided by scientists from North America, Europe or Japan. Still much work is done by scientists and - during the past decades also increasingly - even by advanced amateurs from these countries. Regretably, these activities are often misunderstood by local biologists in the tropics and especially by the authorities of these states as scientific exploitation, and recently collecting of material for genetic studies as plundering of genetic ressources, which is nonsense but makes research difficult or even impossible in such countries. In this regard, the question raises why there are so few bryologists in tropical countries and even no bryologists in many countries? Usually, the lack of ressources such as laboratories, money, libraries, herbaria etc. is presented as arguments, which does not match the point, since many bryologists in industrial countries suffer from similar restrictions and sometimes have worth working consitions than colleagues in tropical countries, but make nevertheless valuable contributions to tropical bryology. Even amateurs have contributed a lot to tropical bryology in the past. The fewest bryologists work in such famous places as Missouri or New York Botanical Garden. Many of them are from eastern, former communistic countries and never gave up to promote tropical bryology under these conditions. In my opinion, the most crucial point is that students in tropical countries get not in contact with bryophytes, and mainly because of the lack of literature. Nobody can expect that students pick up a subject for their thesis if there is no literature available. This manual is therefore devoted to these students. Possibilities to gain a bryological training in industrial countries and paid by these countries were used only by few students, although available. And if these students do not come to us, we have to go to them (which is even cheaper). This is the reason for the increased number of courses on tropical bryology in the past.

Thispaper reflects on the gradual integration of hybrid systems in Algeria's university education context. Our contribution is intended as an analytical study of this new form of training provided for students studying for a degree in French language and literature. It uses action research results to understand current and actual hybrid teaching practices, learners' acquisition and engagement strategies in a new teaching situation, and their perceptions of this new teaching/learning mode. The results reflect excellent student perceptions of the media coverage and mediation of the hybrid system and support of teachers, offering flexible and accessible distance learning opportunities, access to rich resources, and the personalization of the training and assessments, thus encouraging learning autonomy. The aim is to promote in-depth reflection on future practices in distance language teaching to optimize learners' learning experiences in an increasingly digital world. Résumé Cet article propose une réflexion sur l'intégration progressive des dispositifs hybrides dans le contexte de l'enseignement universitaire algérien. Notre contribution se veut une étude analytique de cette nouvelle forme de formation dispensée aux étudiants en licence de langue et littérature françaises. Elle s'appuie sur les résultats d'une recherche-action pour comprendre les pratiques pédagogiques hybrides actuelles et réelles, les stratégies d'acquisition et d'engagement des apprenants dans une nouvelle situation d'enseignement ainsi que leurs perceptions de ce nouveau mode d'enseignement/apprentissage. Les résultats reflètent une excellente perception des étudiants sur la médiatisation et la médiation du système hybride et du soutien des enseignants. Cela offre pour eux des possibilités d'apprentissage à distance flexibles et accessibles, l'accès à des ressources riches et la personnalisation de la formation et des évaluations, encourageant ainsi l'autonomie d'apprentissage. L'objectif de cette recherche est de promouvoir une réflexion approfondie sur les pratiques futures en matière d'enseignement des langues à distance afin d'optimiser les expériences d'apprentissage des apprenants dans un monde de plus en plus numérique.

Context and objective. Chronic Otitis Media (COM) is common with significant health and economic consequences. Health care workers play a key role in the management of this condition. This study aimed to assess the availability and adequacy of human and material resources for the management of COM in the primary health care system (PHC) in Kinshasa. Methods. In a crosssectional analytical study, four categories of human resources (community health relay, nurse, general practitioner, and medical specialist) providing PHC in Kinshasa were interviewed between July 2 and 21, 2020. Results. 218 health care providers participated. At the primary level, the availability of providers was observed, but their performance on basic care activities was poor among the Reco and IT interviewed. In multivariate logistic regression analysis, female gender, lack of training in PHC of the ear and lack of management materials were the factors independently associated with poor response among Reco while A1 and A2 education (awareness), lack of training in PHC of the ear andlack of equipment were the factors independently associated among IT. At the Reference GeneralHospital (RGH) level, the General Practitioners (GPs) interviewed showed a lack of a coherentand reliable referral system between the Health Center (HC) and the RGH as well as between theRGH and the specialist Center. At the tertiary level, 75% of the facilities had only medical treatment as the only treatment option due to lack of expertise (75%) and surgical equipment (87.5%) in surgical management according to the specialist doctors interviewed. Conclusion. Management of COM is not efficient in PHC in Kinshasa. Capacity building of health care providers on the management of COM is an urgent need in Kinshasa. Contexte & objectif. L’otite moyenne chronique (OMC) est une maladie très fréquente aux conséquences sanitaires et économiques importantes. Le personnel soignant joue un rôle primordial dans la prise en charge de cette pathologie. L’objectif de l’étude était d’évaluer la disponibilité et l’adéquation entre les ressources humaines et matérielles et les activités de prise en charge de l’OMC. Méthodes. Dans une étude transversale analytique, 4 catégories de ressources humaines (relais communautaire, infirmier titulaire, médecin généraliste et médecin spécialiste) prestant dans le système des soins de santé primaire (SSSP) de Kinshasa, ont été interviewés, entre les 2 et 21 juillet 2020. Résultats. 218 prestataires de soins ont participé. Au niveau primaire, une disponibilité des prestataires a été objectivée, mais leur performance sur les activités de prise en charge de base a été faible chez les interviewés. En analyse de régression logistique multivariée, le sexe féminin, le manque de formation en SSP de l’oreille et l’absence d’équipement de PEC ont été les facteurs associés de manière indépendante à une mauvaise réponse chez les Reco tandis que chez les IT, il s’agissait des niveaux d’étude A1 et A2, le manque de formation en SSP de l’oreille et l’absence d’équipement. Au niveau de l’HGR, les médecins généralistes interviewés ont montré un manque de référence et de contre-référence entre le CS et l’HGR ainsi qu’entre l’HGR et le centre spécialisé. Au niveau tertiaire, 75% des structures ne donnent que le traitement médical faute d’expertise (75%) et de matériel de chirurgie (87,5%) dans la prise en charge chirurgicale selon les médecins spécialistes interviewés. Conclusion. La prise en charge intégrée de l’OMC n’est pas optimale dans le SSSP à Kinshasa. Un renforcement des capacités des prestataires des soins sur la prise en charge de l’OMC est impérieux à Kinshasa.

Logistic model of desertion using regression and decision tree techniques for resource allocation efficiency : The case of a Chilean private university. When education has become a fundamental right that must be maintained and consolidated, a problem arises that has given rise to numerous academic discussions and that seeks to consider holistically and critically the phenomenon of the growing massification of training offers, manifested in the exponential increase in access to postgraduate studies. Some approaches postulate that, not only is it necessary to implement policies to increase access coverage, but it is also necessary to address the quality of education, considering desertion and retention. In this context, this research aims to establish an analytical model that allows the development of retention and the prevention of the causes of desertion. For this purpose, we will use the methodology of supervised learning to determine the variables of analysis through regression techniques and a decision tree, creating a logistic model of desertion, capable of improving the efficiency in the destination of resources. Finally, this work will aim to provide a better understanding of the phenomena associated with the desertion and retention of students, to help in the management and decision-making process by institutions of higher education.

Cet article a pour objectif d’aider les chefs d’équites en général et les directeurs d’écoles en particulier à mieux gérer et motiver les ressources humaines sous leur direction. Il consiste en une synthèse de la littérature autour de la motivation au travail regroupant la plupart des théories liées à ce domaine en y ajoutant des analyses et des propositions concrètes afin de lier théorie et pratique. Ce travail est venu à la suite d’une évaluation diagnostique au cours de la formation des cadres de l’administration pédagogique. Les résultats ont montré une déficience accrue aux savoirs et savoir-faire des stagiaires autour de la notion de motivation, pourtant très importante dans leur travail. 57% seulement connaissent des théories de la motivation et aucune proposition d’intervention ne lie théorie et pratique. Toutefois, l’unanimité avoue le rôle important du directeur dans la motivation des enseignants. This article aims to assist team leaders in general and school principals in particular in better managing and motivating the human resources under their direction. It consists of a literature review on workplace motivation, encompassing most theories related to this field, supplemented with analyses and concrete proposals to bridge the gap between theory and practice. This work follows a diagnostic evaluation conducted during the training of educational administration executives. The results revealed an increased deficiency in the knowledge and skills of trainees regarding the concept of motivation, which is crucial in their work. Only 57% are familiar with motivation theories, and no intervention proposal links theory and practice. However, there is unanimous agreement on the crucial role of the principal in teacher motivation.

Résumé : Les pays asiatiques comme la Corée du Sud (République de Corée), Taïwan, Singapour, avaient, dans les années 60, un niveau de revenu par habitant comparable à celui de certains pays de l’UEMOA dont le Bénin. Mais au bout de trois décennies à peine, un écart énorme est apparu entre ces pays d’Asie et le Bénin. Nous avons, dans une approche comparative, cherché à voir si le Bénin depuis 1960 s’est doté des ressources humaines et d’un système éducatif indispensables pour son développement. La conclusion, au regard de son stock de capital humain en 1960, des infrastructures éducatives, du rythme de formation dans tous les niveaux du système éducatif, est que le Bénin ne pouvait prétendre à l’horizon 2011, à une émergence économique. Les données actuelles sur les niveaux de scolarisation dans les différents ordres d’enseignement et les choix stratégiques dans le domaine éducatif ne nous rendent pas non plus optimiste pour un décollage économique dans les 03 prochaines décennies. ZusammenfassungChronischer Schmerz ist in der Psychologie seit rund 50 Jahren Gegenstand vertiefter wissenschaftlicher Beschäftigung: Grundlagenwissenschaftlich gilt als Startpunkt die Arbeit zur Gate-Control-Theorie im Jahr 1965 (3), anwendungsorientiert die Monografie Pain and Behavioral Medicine, 1983 (6). Auch wenn Schmerz durch psychologische Maßnahmen nicht vollends verschwindet, so sind doch wirksame Möglichkeiten bekannt, diesen substanziell in den Hintergrund zu rücken, das Leiden zu reduzieren, einen gut adaptierten Lebensvollzug wiederherzustellen. Der Resilienz-(R-)begriff entstammt der Entwicklungspsychologie und liefert für die vorliegende Thematik wertvolle Beiträge. Heutige R-Forscher betonen die Förderung von R. Dies geschieht durch wiederholte Auseinandersetzung mit Herausforderungen – hier Schmerz –, im Rahmen derer neue Fähigkeiten erworben und Belastungen gemeistert werden. Ein Assimilationsmodus (AS) ist von einem Akkommodationsmodus (AK) zu unterscheiden. AS beinhaltet die Kompensation eines verlorenen Standards durch Übungen, Techniken, Training, systematische Praxis, während AK gedanklich-emotionales Umbewerten, Akzeptanz und Relativieren früherer Standards zum Ziel hat. Gut kompatibel mit R ist der Ressourcenansatz der klinischen Psychologie. Hier werden Aktiva, Positiva und Stärken der Person fokussiert und der Defizitansatz der herkömmlichen Psychotherapie ergänzt. Mit dem Ressourcenansatz einher geht Psychotherapie bei Schmerz, wohingegen Bewältigung (Coping) eher assimilativ auf Training und Pain-Management orientiert ist. Schmerzbewältigungstrainings (ambulant, stationär) mit einer Reihe von verhaltens-, kognitiven, emotions- und körper-/bewegungsorientierten Verfahren werden abschließend erläutert.

L'article analyse l'introduction de la Nouvelle Gestion Publique (NGP) au Maroc, en mettant l'accent sur la mise en œuvre du Balanced Scorecard (BSC) pour relever les défis du secteur public. Malgré les critiques sur sa standardisation, le BSC a été adopté dans le but d'instaurer une culture de la performance ; l’étude montre que le BSC a permis d'améliorer la gestion performante des organisations publiques marocaines. Grâce à une évaluation globale liant indicateurs financiers et non financiers, le BSC a favorisé une prise de décision plus éclairée. Cependant, des défis persistent, notamment la résistance au changement de la part des acteurs publics et la difficulté à définir des indicateurs de performance pertinents, l'introduction du BSC a renforcé la transparence, la responsabilisation et l'orientation stratégique, mais nécessite une formation continue du personnel et des ressources dédiées pour sa mise en œuvre. Enfin, les résultats suggèrent d'étendre l'utilisation du BSC à d'autres entités du secteur public en adoptant une approche adaptative et personnalisée afin de maximiser les bénéfices à long terme. The article analyzes the introduction of the New Public Management (NPM) in Morocco, focusing on the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to meet the challenges of the public sector. Despite criticism of its standardization, the BSC was adopted with the aim of establishing a performance culture; the study shows that the BSC has helped to improve the performance management of Moroccan public organizations. Thanks to a global assessment linking financial and non-financial indicators, the BSC has fostered more informed decision-making. However, challenges remain, notably resistance to change on the part of public players and the difficulty of defining relevant performance indicators. The introduction of the BSC has strengthened transparency, accountability, and strategic orientation, but requires ongoing staff training and dedicated resources for its implementation. Finally, the results suggest extending the use of BSC to other public sector entities, adopting an adaptive and customized approach to maximize long-term benefits.

The Reasoned Use of Digital Documentation Resources for the Development of Instrumental Sub-competence in the Teaching of Specialised Translation: Feedback and Perspectives in a LANSAD context Within the framework of university teaching, the practice of translation takes the form of an activity essentially based on solving problems involving linguistic knowledge. In the last two decades, the theoretical-experimental studies proposed by textual linguistics and pragmalinguistics have made essential contributions to translation didactics through methodological proposals based on an operational vision of interlinguistic communication, according to which the act of translation must be considered as an act of enunciation carried out for a given purpose, addressed to a specific addressee and inscribed in a particular socio-cultural context. A similar conception is found in sociolinguistic and functionalist approaches that focus on the expectations of the hypothetical client and on the analysis of the source text (ST) at the textual and pragmatic-communicative level. The practical dimension of translation as well as the contextualisation of the assigned tasks are also emphasised in methodological proposals inspired by the principles of task-based language teaching, an approach centred on the realisation of linguistic tasks that emphasise the pragmatic aspect. Similarly, cognitivist approaches to translation, which have emphasised the value of metacognitive sub-competence, aspire to the active participation of learners in the teaching/learning process. To achieve this goal, they are encouraged to reflect on the different preparatory phases of the translation work in which the strategy to be followed in writing the CT is chosen based on certain criteria, such as the purpose, the target audience, the function of the text and its structure. The development of theoretical-methodological competence is thus encouraged, whereby the transition from declarative knowledge, i.e. being aware of the problems a learner may encounter, to procedural knowledge (know-how), i.e. being able to find the most appropriate solution, takes place. Within the framework of translation studies, the practice of translation thus takes the form of an activity essentially based on the resolution of problems involving linguistic, cultural, cognitive, and metacognitive knowledge. Beyond the different perspectives, it seems to us that the most recent approaches to the didactics of translation have identified common training needs and methodological criteria that can be applied in an integrated way in all university courses, whether in LLCE courses for students of foreign languages, literature, and translation or in common or professional language courses for specialists in other disciplines (LANSAD). In this contribution we propose a reflection on the acquisition of skills related to the documentation phase of the translation process in a university context, through the study of a text translated from French into Italian by students of a French Language course for specialists of other disciplines (LANSAD). After reviewing the concept of translational competence and its various subcategories, we present an experimental didactic path based on the use of digital documentary resources and corpora applied to specialised translation, with particular attention to the development of the instrumental sub-competence.

Introduction: The health and care workforce was under pressure long before the pandemic, not least because of the constant development of new technologies, policy reforms and dwindling ressources. In recent years, concepts like the Quadruple Aim or the WHO European Framework for Action for integrated health services delivery have helped to highlight the importance of workforce planning, education and training or role definitions for integrated care. If we want the principles of integrated care working to become engrained in the work ethic and culture of health and care, a lot more needs to happen on many levels in order to ensure that the full potential of the individual and the concept as a whole can be fulfilled. However, as the lack of response to a recent call for papers on the subject has shown, there still doesn’t seem to be much interest in the research, practice and planning to support an integrated care workforce. Aims and Scope of the workshop: We want to use this workshop therefore to discuss with the integrated care community, why so little is done to support the integrated care workforce. We understand the integrated care workforce to comprise of health and social care professionals, carers, volunteers, etc. but we are open to being challenged on this point. How can we use them more strategically in education and training at the least? •What support does the workforce need during the transition process from fragmented to integrated working? •How can professional associations become promoters of integrated care? •What are some of the good examples which illustrate the development of a resilient, compassionate and integrated workforce? La noix d'anacarde est depuis plusieurs années un produit majeur dans l'économie agricole au Bénin. Cette étude a pour objectif de mesurer l'efficacité technique des ménages producteurs d'anacarde de la Commune de Bantè au Centre du Bénin et d'identifier les déterminants. Les données ont été collectées auprès de 184 chefs de ménages producteurs d'anacarde, identifiés à partir d'un échantillonnage aléatoire. La fonction de production frontière stochastique de type Cobb Douglas a été utilisée pour l'estimation des scores d'efficacité technique tandis que le Fractional Regression Model (FRM) a été utilisé pour l'identification des déterminants de l'efficacité technique. Les résultats ont révélé un rendement moyen de 399,31 kg/ha. Les scores d'efficacité technique sont compris entre 11,68% et 91,59% avec une moyenne de 63,09%. Les producteurs étudiés ont été trouvés peu efficaces et peuvent encore améliorer leur niveau de production avec les ressources actuelles. La formation, la réhabilitation de plantations, l'utilisation de plants de qualité et la vente aux exportateurs déterminent positivement l'efficacité technique des ménages étudiés alors que le sexe et la vente aux transformateurs ont un effet significatif négatif. En vue de stimuler la performance des producteurs d'anacarde, il est primordial de renforcer leur formation notamment sur l'utilisation des pesticides, de faciliter leur accès à des plants de qualité comme les plants greffés et les plants issus de semences polyclonales et surtout de faciliter la réhabilitation des plantations, de mettre en place un mécanisme efficace de soutien du prix au producteur et enfin promouvoir les femmes. Cashew nuts have been a major product in Benin’s agricultural economy for several years. The objective of this study is to measure the technical efficiency of cashew nut-producing households in the Commune of Bantè in central Benin and to identify the determinants. Data were collected from 184 heads of cashew nut-producing households, identified through random sampling. The Cobb-Douglas stochastic production function was used to estimate technical efficiency scores while the Fractional Regression Model (FRM) was used to identify determinants of technical efficiency. The results revealed an average yield of 399.31 kg/ha. Technical efficiency scores ranged from 11.68% to 91.59% with an average of 63.09%. The studied households are not very efficient and can still improve their level of production with the current resources. Training, plantation rehabilitation, use of quality seedlings and sale to exporters are positive determinants of the technical efficiency of the studied households, while gender and sale to processors are negative determinants. In order to stimulate the performance of cashew nut producers, it is essential to reinforce their training, particularly on the use of pesticides, to facilitate their access to quality seedlings such as grafted seedlings and seedlings from polyclonal seeds, and above all to facilitate the rehabilitation of plantations, to put in place an effective mechanism to support the producer price and finally to promote women.

Background: Internal Medicine (IM) physicians are in a prime role to prescribe exercise for chronic disease management. Our main objectives were to investigate the exercise prescription (EP) practices of IM physicians, and identify barriers and facilitators to EP.Methods: We emailed a confidential 16-item survey to 194 IM physicians practicing in the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA). The survey software Opinio was used for data collection and descriptive statistics.Results: A total of 108 IM physicians completed the survey (response rate = 55.7%). Sixty-five participants reported regular EP (60.2%). The main barriers to EP were lack of resources, time, and training. Facilitators included having patient education materials and EP pads available.Interpretation: Although most participants reported that exercise was important for chronic disease man-agement, about 40% did not report regularly prescribing it. Enabling facilitators and addressing barriers may improve EP practices for this group of IM physicians. RésuméContexte : Les internistes jouent un rôle de premier plan en matière de prescription d’exercice dans la prise en charge des maladies chroniques. Nos principaux objectifs visaient à étudier les pratiques de prescription d’exercice (PE) chez les internistes et à cerner les facteurs qui entravent ou facilitent la PE.Méthodologie : Nous avons fait parvenir par courriel à 194 internistes de la zone centrale de la Régie de la santé de la Nouvelle-Écosse un sondage confidentiel comportant 16 questions. Nous avons utilisé le logiciel de sondage Opinio pour la collecte des données et les statistiques descriptives.Résultats : Au total, il y a eu 109 répondants (taux de réponse = 56,2 %) et 108 d’entre eux ont rempli le sondage. Soixante-cinq participants ont indiqué qu’ils prescrivaient régulièrement de l’exercice (60,19 %). Les principaux obstacles à la PE sont le manque de ressources, le manque de temps et le manque de formation. Les facteurs facilitants sont l’accès à du matériel pédagogique destiné aux patients et à des ordonnanciers conçus pour la PE.Interprétation : Bien que la plupart des participants indiquent que l’exercice est important dans la prise en charge des maladies chroniques, environ 40 % d’entre eux ne le prescrivent pas régulièrement. Promouvoir les facteurs facilitants et s’attaquer aux obstacles pourraient améliorer les pratiques de PE chez ce groupe d’internistes.

Im Rahmen einer multizentrischen, randomisierten, kontrollierten Studie evaluierten wir die klinische Wirksamkeit eines Neurofeedback-Trainings (NF) bei Kindern mit einer Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS) und untersuchten die einem erfolgreichen Training zugrunde liegenden neurophysiologischen Wirkmechanismen. Als Vergleichstraining diente ein computergestütztes Aufmerksamkeitstraining, das dem Setting des Neurofeedback-Trainings in den wesentlichen Anforderungen und Rahmenbedingungen angeglichen war. Auf Verhaltensebene (Eltern- und Lehrerbeurteilung) zeigte sich das NF-Training nach Trainingsende dem Kontrolltraining sowohl hinsichtlich der ADHS-Kernsymptomatik als auch in assoziierten Bereichen überlegen. Für das Hauptzielkriterium (Verbesserung im FBB-HKS Gesamtwert) ergab sich eine mittlere Effektstärke (von 0.6). Sechs Monate nach Trainingsende (follow-up) konnte das gleiche Ergebnismuster gefunden werden. Die Ergebnisse legen somit den Schluss nahe, dass NF einen klinisch wirksamen Therapiebaustein zur Behandlung von Kindern mit ADHS darstellt. Auf neurophysiologischer Ebene (EEG; ereignisbezogene Potentiale, EPs) konnten für die beiden Neurofeedback-Protokolle Theta/Beta-Training und Training langsamer kortikaler Potentiale spezifische Effekte aufgezeigt werden. So war für das Theta/Beta-Training beispielsweise die Abnahme der Theta-Aktivität mit einer Reduzierung der ADHS-Symptomatik assoziiert. Für das SCP-Training wurde u. a. im Attention Network Test eine Erhöhung der kontingenten negativen Variation beobachtet, die die mobilisierten Ressourcen bei Vorbereitungsprozessen widerspiegelt. EEG- und EP-basierte Prädiktorvariablen konnten ermittelt werden. Der vorliegende Artikel bietet einen Gesamtüberblick über die in verschiedenen Publikationen unserer Arbeitsgruppe beschriebenen Ergebnisse der Studie und zeigt zukünftige Fragestellungen auf.

Introduction: Evidence-based medicine (EBM) is the conscientious,explicit, and judicious use of the current best evidence in decision-making for the care of patients. Teaching best evidence practicein residency should include both formal or freestanding content,as well as integration into clinical scenarios and patient care.We sought to assess the attitudes, experience and knowledge ofEBM in urology residency training across Canada.Methods: An anonymous, cross-sectional, self-report questionnairewas completed by a convenience sample of 29 residents,including all chief urology residents in English-speaking programsacross Canada. The survey included both open-ended and closedendedquestions designed to assess familiarity and attitudes towardsEBM and potential barriers to developing EBM skills in a surgicaltraining program. Questions were formatted to determine the understandingof statistical and analytical concepts, as well as familiarityof available EBM resources. Descriptive and correlative statisticswere used to analyze the responses.Results: The response rate was 100%. An overwhelming majorityof residents felt that EBM is an important component of the urologyresidency and journal club was the most common vehiclefor discussing best evidence concepts. However, there was significantvariation in the presence of freestanding, formal curriculaacross programs, with only 28% of residents signifying thatthey received any formal training in their program. The apparentlevel of understanding of important EBM terminology and resourcesappears to be limited. The most frequently stated barriers to incorporatingEBM curricula into urology training were time constraintsand a perceived lack of expert educators.Conclusion: This self-report survey of urology chief residents identifiedthe overwhelming acceptance of the importance of EBM intheir training. Une majoritéécrasante de résidents croyait que la médecine factuelle était unecomposante cruciale de leur formation en urologie et que l’examenen groupe d’articles publiés (Journal Club) représentait le moyenle plus fréquent de discuter des concepts de la médecine factuelle.Néanmoins, on a noté une variation significative dans la présencede contenu indépendant et officiel dans les différents programmes;en effet, seulement 28 % des résidents ont indiqué recevoir uneformation officielle dans le cadre de leurs études. The quality of the educator-child relationship as well as the ability to mentalize appear to be protective factors against stress that can improve the well-being of elementary educators given their high workload. Educators who have positive mental models of relationships experience more positive affect in their interactions with children, which promotes their well-being. Moreover, an appropriate perception of mental states allows for a more constructive approach to stressful situations, even in the presence of insecure internal working models of relationships, because negative affect can be identified and regulated. In a study of prospective elementary educators (N = 216), we observed the expected correlations between attachment behavior and mentalization ability with well-being and stress levels. Mediation analyses showed that mentalization capacity partially explained the influence of attachment behavior on stress and well-being. The results suggest that mentalization training could support well-being and improve the abilities of elementary educators in stressful conditions.

Das JobFit-Training stellt ein universelles Präventionsprogramm für Jugendliche dar, das einer Entwicklungsabweichung beim Übergang von der allgemeinbildenden Schule in den Beruf vorbeugen soll. Die vorliegende Studie evaluiert die Wirksamkeit des Trainings im Schulkontext bei Jugendlichen mit Defiziten im prosozialen Verhalten anhand eines Eigenwarte-Kontrollgruppendesigns. Die Gesamtstichprobe umfasst N = 446 Jugendliche, von denen 78 Jugendliche im Alter von 13;5 bis 19;4 in die Analysen eingingen, da sie ihr prosoziales Verhalten im Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) als auffällig einstuften. Weiterhin wurde das Sozial- und Lernverhalten mit der Schülereinschätzliste für Sozial- und Lernverhalten (SSL) erfasst. Im Vergleich der Messzeitpunkte direkt vor und nach dem Training zeigten sich signifikante Unterschiede mit kleinen bis mittleren Effektstärken im Bereich „Sozialverhalten” der SSL und den zugehörigen Skalen „Selbstkontrolle”, „Selbstbehauptung” und „Sozialkontakt” sowie im Bereich „Lernverhalten” und der zugehörigen Skala „Selbstständigkeit beim Lernen”. Die Befunde weisen das JobFit-Training als eine Option zur Förderung sozialer Kompetenzen bei Jugendlichen mit unzureichenden personellen Ressourcen aus.

Abstract: The experiences of Black faculty members in Canadian universities have not been adequately explored and given the attention needed. Employing an exploratory descriptive design, we interviewed five Black faculty members in a mid-sized university in Western Canada and used thematic analysis and critical race theory to gain deeper understanding of the participants' experiences. Findings revealed that most participants have positive feelings despite overt or covert experiences of racism. The most significant highlight was the covert power struggle in the setting particularly between Black faculty members and students, and Black faculty members and some of their colleagues. The empathy and support from some deans, colleagues, and staff, along with resources in the university, have helped participants to remain in their position, make their presence known as professors and succeed in their work. Participants' key coping strategies were faith in God, resilience, and hard work. Many participants shared that mentorship and training on responding to students' evaluations will be beneficial in retaining Black faculty members, which will, overall, increase the number of Black students in Canadian universities. Résumé: Les expériences des professeurs noirs dans les universités canadiennes n'ont pas été suffisamment étudiées et n'ont pas reçu l'attention nécessaire. À l'aide d'un modèle descriptif exploratoire, nous nous sommes entretenus avec cinq professeurs noirs dans une université de taille moyenne de l'ouest du Canada et nous avons utilisé l'analyse thématique et la théorie critique de la race pour mieux comprendre les expériences des participants. Les résultats ont révélé que la plupart des participants ont des impressions positives malgré des expériences de racisme manifeste ou implicite. Le fait le plus marquant a été la lutte de pouvoir dissimulée dans le milieu, en particulier entre les professeurs noirs et les étudiants, et entre les professeurs noirs et certains de leurs collègues. L'empathie et le soutien de certains doyens, des collègues et des membres du personnel, ainsi que les ressources de l'université, ont aidé les participants à rester à leurs postes, à se faire connaître en tant que professeurs et à réussir dans leur travail. Les principales stratégies d'adaptation des participants sont la foi en Dieu, la résilience et le travail acharné. De nombreux participants ont indiqué que le mentorat et la formation sur la façon de répondre aux évaluations des étudiants permettraient de retenir les professeurs noirs, ce qui, dans l'ensemble, augmenterait le nombre d'étudiants noirs dans les universités canadiennes.

ZusammenfassungDieser Beitrag der Zeitschrift Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation. (GIO) berichtet von der Entwicklung, Durchführung und Evaluation eines Networkingtrainings. Networking gilt branchenübergreifend als wichtige Kompetenz für den Aufbau tätigkeitsrelevanter Ressourcen und Fertigkeiten und gewinnt in Zeiten der individualisierten, wissensintensiven und digitalisierten Berufstätigkeit weiter an Bedeutung. Die „Kunst des Netzwerkens“ zu erlernen ist deshalb essentiell. Basierend auf der Handlungsregulationstheorie und sozialkognitiven Ansätzen wird in dieser Evaluationsstudie die Wirksamkeit eines Networking-Trainings (N = 37) für Berufstätige untersucht. Das Training vermittelt Kompetenzen zu Aufbau, Pflege und Nutzung von Kontakten im beruflichen Kontext. Es wird im Rahmen eines Pretests und drei Posttests bis zu einem Jahr nach dem Training und einer nicht-äquivalenten Kontrollvariablenstrategie auf mehreren Ebenen evaluiert. Es zeigen sich signifikante Verbesserungen in den Bereichen Wissen, networkingbezogene Selbstwirksamkeit und Networkingverhalten, sowie eine Zunahme an Kontakten in beruflichen Online-Netzwerken. Basierend auf den genannten trainingstheoretischen Grundlagen gelingt den Teilnehmenden die Entwicklung ihrer Networkingkompetenzen, d. h. sich ein berufliches Online- und Offline-Netzwerk aufzubauen, dieses zu pflegen und zu nutzen.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a major clinical challenge globally. It is mainly a consequence of inappropriate prescribing and use of antibiotics. Antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) ensures that antibiotics are prescribed and used appropriately. This study assessed AMS practice in selected Nigerian hospitals.Methodology: This was a cross sectional survey of 20 Federal, State and Private tertiary hospitals randomly selected from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Using an adapted WHO tool on AMS, data were collected from each hospital as regard the existence of AMS committee, Accountability and Responsibility, AMS actions, Education and Training, Monitoring and Evaluation, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practice, facilities to support AMS, and challenges to AMS implementation. Gaps and challenges to the implementation of the AMS among the hospitals were identified.Results: Only 6 (30%) of the 20 hospitals had AMS committees while 2 (10%) had any evidence of leadership commitment to AMS. All the hospitals had laboratory facilities to support culture and sensitivity testing. There were no regular AMS-related education or training, monitoring, evaluation or reporting activities in the hospitals, except in 7 (25%) that had participated in the global point prevalence survey (Global-PPS) of antimicrobial use and resistance being hosted by the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Challenges impeding AMS activities included lack of human and financial resources, prescribers’ opposition, lack of awareness and absence of AMS committees. Most of the gaps and challenges bordered on seeming lack of knowledge and inadequate communication among prescribers and other stakeholders.Conclusion: There is need for intense education and training activities for prescribers and other stakeholders, including but not limited to hospital administrators. La gestion des antimicrobiens (AMS) garantit que les antibiotiques sont prescrits et utilisés de manière appropriée. Cette étude a évalué la pratique de l'AMS dans certains hôpitaux Nigérians. Méthodologie: Il s'agissait d'une enquête transversale de 20 hôpitaux tertiaires fédéraux, d'État et privéssélectionnés au hasard dans les six zones géopolitiques du Nigéria. À l'aide d'un outil OMS adapté sur l'AMS, des données ont été collectées auprès de chaque hôpital en ce qui concerne l'existence d'un comité AMS, la responsabilité et la responsabilité, les actions AMS, l'éducation et la formation, le suivi et l'évaluation, la pratique de prévention et de contrôle des infections (IPC), les installations pour soutenir l'AMS. et les défis de la mise en œuvre de l'AMS. Les lacunes et les défis liés à la mise en œuvre de l'AMS parmi les hôpitaux ont été identifiés. Résultats: Seuls 6 (30%) des 20 hôpitaux avaient des comités AMS tandis que 2 (10%) avaient des preuves d'engagement du leadership envers l'AMS. Tous les hôpitaux disposaient d'installations de laboratoire pour soutenir la culture et les tests de sensibilité. Il n'y avait pas d'activités régulières d'éducation ou de formation, de suivi, d'évaluation ou de rapportage liées à la MGS dans les hôpitaux, sauf dans 7 (25%) qui avaient participé à l'enquête mondiale sur la prévalence ponctuelle (Global-PPS) de l'utilisation et de la résistance aux antimicrobiens organisée par l'Université d'Anvers, Belgique. Les défis entravant les activités de l'AMS comprenaient le manque de ressources humaines et financières, l'opposition des prescripteurs, le manque de sensibilisation et l'absence de comités AMS. La plupart des lacunes et des défis se limitaient à un manque apparent de connaissances et à une communication inadéquate entre les prescripteurs et les autres intervenants.Conclusion: Des activités d'éducation et de formation intensives sont nécessaires pour les prescripteurs et autres intervenants, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les administrateurs d'hôpitaux. Zusammenfassung. Im leistungs- und im gesundheitsorientierten Sport ist Selbstkontrolle von hoher Relevanz, u.a. um optimale Leistung zu erzielen und Gesundheit durch Bewegung aufrechtzuerhalten. Im vorliegenden Überblicksartikel stellen wir Befunde zu Selbstkontrollbeeinträchtigungen im Sportkontext vor und diskutieren diese anhand von Ressourcen- und Prozessmodellen. Danach argumentieren wir, dass achtsamkeitsbasierte Trainings eine mögliche Strategie darstellen könnten, Selbstkontrollbeeinträchtigungen zu reduzieren. Abschließend werden Grenzen von achtsamkeitsbasierten Trainings und Selbstkontrolltheorien, offene Forschungsfragen sowie praktische Implikationen diskutiert.

El aprendizaje que el niño, el estudiante y cualquier ciudadano adquiere, éste será almacenado en algún lugar de nuestro cerebro, como datos y conocimientos que nos van a servir posteriormente. El artículo describe la importancia de orientar las habilidades cognitivas en el desarrollo de la memoria, para comprender y ejercitar el trabajo de los sentidos para que las neuronas realicen múltiples conexiones entre sí y el cerebro active todas sus funciones. La tarea de padres y profesores en la educación y formación de los hijos y estudiantes debe empezar desde las tempranas edades, aprovechando todos los recursos que nos brinda el medioambiente y puedan interactuar en un contexto real de manera competente. ABSTRACT Scientific and technological progress has changed the way in which the family, society and educational agents interact with each other because of the amount of information that circulates. The learning that the child, the student and any citizen acquires, will be stored somewhere in our brain, as data and knowledge that will serve us later. The article describes the importance of orienting cognitive skills in the development of memory, to understand and exercise the work of the senses so that neurons make multiple connections between themselves and the brain activate all their functions. L’objectif de cette recherche est d’analyser la contribution du secteur informel dans l’insertion professionnelle des jeunes dans la Sous-préfecture de Toumodi avec ses effets induits au plan économique et social en 2022. La méthodologie s’appuie sur les recherches documentaires et une enquête de terrain de quatre mois entre les mois de Janvier et Avril 2022. La recherche est à la fois qualitative et quantitative afin de rendre compte au mieux du poids du secteur informel dans l’activité économique des jeunes et des effets induits de cette contribution. Elle a pris en compte 421 jeunes, 62 activités informelles et 08 personnes ressources dans la Sous-Préfecture. Les données recueillies ont été traitées manuellement et à l’ordinateur grâce au logiciel SPSS for Windows 17.0, Excel, Adobe Illustrator CS.11 et Arcview GIS 3.3 ; ce qui a permis de présenter les résultats sous forme de tableaux et graphiques. Il ressort de cette enquête, que le secteur informel qui regroupe le commerce, l’artisanat et le transport est le principal secteur d’activité des jeunes avec 70% des emplois. Le revenu moyen annuel des jeunes actifs dans ce secteur est 76 000 FCFA. Ces revenus servent à payer le loyer et à se nourrir. C’est pourquoi une réorganisation des activités du secteur informel et une formation des jeunes exerçant dans ce secteur s’imposent. The objective of this research is to analyze the contribution of the informal sector in the professional integration of young people in the region of Toumodi with its induced effects at the economic and social level in 2022. The methodology is based on the documentary research and a four-month field survey between January and April 2022. The research is both qualitative and quantitative in order to better reflect the weight of the informal sector in the economic activity of young people and the induced effects of this contribution. It took into account 421 young people, 62 informal activities, and 08 resource persons in the area. The data collected were processed manually and on the computer using SPSS for Windows 17.0, Excel, Adobe Illustrator CS.11, and Arcview GIS 3.3 software; which made it possible to present the results in the form of tables and graphics. This survey shows that the informal sector, which includes trade, crafts, and transport, is the main sector of activity for young people with 70% of jobs. The average annual income of young workers in this sector is 76,000 FCFA. This income is used to pay the rent and to eat. This is why a reorganization of activities in the informal sector and training of young people working in this sector is essential.

Introduction: Point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) has been recognised as a tool that leads to more definitive diagnoses and enhances clinical decision-making in rural emergency departments (EDs) where diagnostic imaging is limited. We aimed to determine the current utilisation, barriers and solutions to using PoCUS in this rural Saskatchewan ED. Methods: Physicians working in the ED participated in a semi-structured interview. An online survey, administered via SurveyMonkey post-interview to provide further context, was used to support qualitative approaches. Interviews were recorded, transcribed and then analysed using inductive interpretation. Results: Seven physicians completed the quantitative survey with a response rate of 70%. Ten physicians were interviewed with a response rate of 100%. Themes identified were that physicians in this community’s ED perceived their skill level as determining whether a scan was diagnostic or not, rather than the specific PoCUS application itself. In addition, they performed scans primarily for the purpose of triage. Inadequate training, Core IP certification certification requirement and intradepartmental logistics were barriers to PoCUS utilisation. Conclusion: This study showed that ED physicians in this community perceived PoCUS as a clinical adjunct and as a tool to triage patients for further imaging. Results highlight the need to have accessible training for rural physicians to increase PoCUS utilisation, awareness of current Saskatchewan PoCUS guidelines and education on diagnostic applications of PoCUS. Increased use of PoCUS for specific scans could decrease the need for formal imaging and the associated healthcare system resources. Introduction: L’échographie au point d’intervention (ÉPI) est reconnue comme un outil permettant d’établir des diagnostics plus définitifs et d’améliorer la prise de décision clinique dans les services d’urgence ruraux où l’imagerie diagnostique est limitée. Nous avons cherché à déterminer l’utilisation actuelle, les obstacles et les solutions à l’utilisation de l’ÉPI dans ce service d’urgence rural de la Saskatchewan. Méthodes: Les médecins travaillant aux urgences ont participé à un entretien semi-structuré. Une enquête en ligne, administrée via SurveyMonkey après l’entretien pour fournir un contexte supplémentaire, a été utilisée pour soutenir les approches qualitatives. Les entretiens ont été enregistrés, transcrits puis analysés à l’aide d’une interprétation inductive. Résultats: Sept médecins ont répondu à l’enquête quantitative, soit un taux de réponse de 70%. Dix médecins ont été interrogés avec un taux de réponse de 100%. Les thèmes identifiés sont les suivants: les médecins du service d’urgence de cette communauté considèrent que leur niveau de compétence détermine le caractère diagnostique ou non d’un examen, plutôt que l’application spécifique de l’ÉPI. En outre, ils effectuaient des scanners principalement à des fins de triage. Une formation inadéquate, l’exigence d’une certification de praticien indépendant de base et la logistique interne au service étaient des obstacles à l’utilisation de l’ÉPI. Conclusion: Cette étude a montré que les médecins des services d’urgence de cette communauté percevaient l’ÉPI comme un complément clinique et un outil de triage des patients en vue d’un examen d’imagerie plus approfondi. Les résultats soulignent la nécessité d’une formation accessible aux médecins ruraux pour accroître l’utilisation de l’ÉPI, la connaissance des lignes directrices actuelles de l’ÉPI de la Saskatchewan et l’éducation sur les applications diagnostiques de l’ÉPI. L’utilisation accrue de l’ÉPI pour des examens spécifiques pourrait réduire le besoin d’imagerie formelle et les ressources du système de santé qui y sont associées.

ZusammenfassungEine bedürfnisorientierte psychoonkologische Unterstützung für Frauen, die an Brustkrebs erkrankt sind, ist v. a. in strukturschwachen Gebieten nicht genügend vorhanden. Moderne telemedizinische und webbasierte Angebote (eHealth) können einen wichtigen Mehrwert in der psychoonkologischen Versorgung darstellen, da sie im Rahmen des Selbstmanagements unabhängig von personellen Ressourcen, Zeit und Ort verfügbar sind. Bisher fehlen solche supportive psychoonkologische Angebote weitestgehend im deutschsprachigen Raum. Aus diesem Grund wurde ein psychoonkologisches Online-Programm entwickelt. Inhalte für die zeitgemäße webbasierte, bedürfnisorientierte, psychoonkologische Intervention wurden aus Literatur und eigenen Vorstudien entwickelt. Ein Manual für ein Skills- und Achtsamkeitstraining (Make It Training- Mindfulness and skills based distress reduction training in oncology) im Websetting wurde entworfen, programmiert und elektronisch umgesetzt. Diese Intervention beinhaltet insgesamt acht krankheitsbezogene Sitzungen mit Lehrvideos, Audiodateien, interaktiven Arbeitsblättern, persönlicher Skillsbox sowie daraus entstehendem Abschlussmaterial nach jeder Sitzung. Die hier vorgestellten Bausteine zur Psychoedukation und Vermittlung von verhaltenstherapeutischen Skills zu den Themen Emotionsmanagement, Ressourcen, Stressmanagement und Selbstzuwendung, sowie ein fortlaufendes Achtsamkeitsmodul wurden entwickelt. Eine Akzeptanzüberprüfung (N=35) ergab hohe Werte für Akzeptanz und Zufriedenheit seitens der Patientinnen. 87% der Patientinnen würden anderen betroffenen Frauen das Make It Training weiterempfehlen. Mit dem Make It Training steht ein Programm zur Verfügung, das effektive Bewältigungsstrategien und Fertigkeiten im Umgang mit psychischen Belastungen und Anforderungen, die durch eine Krebserkrankung entstehen, vermittelt. Das webbasierte psychoonkologische Selbstmanagementprogramm kann die Versorgung in einem gestuften Ansatz nicht zuletzt in strukturschwachen Regionen für Patienten mit onkologischen Erkrankungen verbessern.

The purpose of this study was to explore current practices of collaboration between English as a second language (ESL) and elementary classroom teachers and provide evidence-based recommendations on how to enhance collaborative professional relationships that support the instruction of English Language Learners (ELLs). A qualitative research methodology was employed to explore current practices as well as educational resources used by four ESL teachers as they worked to foster collaborative relationships with classroom teachers. Data collection methods included (a) interviews with ESL teachers reflecting on their beliefs and practices, (b) structured observations of ESL and elementary teachers in classrooms, and (c) analysis of professional planning artifacts (e.g., daybook plans, lesson plans, professional readings, and instructional resources) to document participants’ practices in ESL education. Findings revealed that ESL teachers negotiated collaboration based on a desire to work together and a belief that a cohesive educator team is important in ESL education, however, these ESL teachers encountered barriers such as a lack of training, technology, and tools to facilitate collaboration and limited time to do so. This resulted in limited and informal, surface-level collaboration. Implications of the findings relating to best collaborative practices are discussed. Le but de cette étude était d’explorer les pratiques de collaboration actuelles entre les professeurs d’anglais langue seconde (ESL) et les enseignantes et enseignants au primaire et de fournir des recommandations concernant la façon d’améliorer les relations de collaboration professionnelle en soutien de l’enseignement aux apprenantes et apprenants de la langue anglaise (ELLs). Une méthodologie de recherche qualitative a été employée pour explorer les pratiques actuelles et les ressources didactiques utilisées par quatre professeurs d’anglais langue seconde (ESL) dans un effort pour encourager les relations de collaboration avec des professeurs de classe. Les méthodes de collecte de données ont notamment été (a) des entrevues avec des professeurs d’anglais langue seconde exprimant leurs croyances et décrivant leurs pratiques, (b) des observations structurées de professeurs d’anglais langue seconde et d’enseignantes en enseignants au primaire en classe et (c) l’analyse d’objets de planification professionnelle (par ex. journaux, plans de cours, ouvrages professionnels et matériel didactique) afin de documenter les pratiques des participants en matière d’enseignement de l’anglais langue seconde. Les conclusions ont révélé que les professeurs d’anglais langue seconde négociaient la collaboration en fonction d’une volonté de travailler ensemble et d’une croyance voulant qu’une équipe pédagogique unie soit importante pour l’enseignement de l’anglais langue seconde, mais en se heurtant toutefois à des obstacles tels que le manque de formation, de technologie et d’outils pour faciliter la collaboration ainsi que le peu de temps disponible pour y arriver. Le tout a produit une collaboration limitée, informelle et superficielle. Les implications des constatations relatives aux meilleures pratiques de collaboration font l’objet d’une discussion.

This study sought to identify opportunities for improvement of an Internal Medicine (IM) resident quality improvement (QI)/patient safety (PS) program at an academic teaching hospital. The authors conducted semi-structured interviews with 15 residents and 6 attending physicians, which were analyzed from an inductive and thematic lens using NVivo software. Ethics was approved by the institution’s Research Ethics Board (File #: 6026140). Four themes emerged from this analysis. Residents and attending physicians agreed on (i) integrating QI/PS knowledge and skills into practice using active learning approaches. However, there was concern that requiring QI project completion through (ii) standardization of QI/PS education could create a barrier to clinical research required for sub-specialization. There was agreement that the (iii) QI/PS culture within the IM program was supportive and that a lack of safe reporting efficiency within the hospital, along with interprofessional discord, could cause (iv) external barriers to QI/PS training. By integrating these findings, evidence-informed and low-resource solutions could be incorporated into the QI/PS curriculum that uses minimal preparation requirements, and fulsome conversation-based exploration of QI/PS techniques within real-world clinical cases. RésuméCette étude visait à trouver des possibilités d’améliorer un programme d’amélioration de la qualité (AQ)/sécurité des patients (SP) pour les résidents en médecine interne (MI) à un hôpital universitaire. Les auteurs ont mené des entrevues semi-structurées auprès de 15 résidents et de 6 médecins traitants, lesquelles ont été analysées d’un point de vue inductif et thématique à l’aide du logiciel NVivo. Le comité d’éthique de la recherche de l’établissement a approuvé cette recherche (dossier no : 6026140). Quatre thèmes sont ressortis de cette analyse. Les résidents et les médecins traitants sont d’accord sur les éléments suivants : i) l’intégration dans la pratique des connaissances et des compétences en AQ/SP au moyen d’approches d’apprentissage actif. Toutefois, on craint que l’obligation de mener à bien le projet d’AQ par l’intermédiaire de ii) l’uniformisation de l’enseignement de l’AQ/SP ne crée un obstacle à la recherche clinique requise pour la sous-spécialisation. Les participants s’entendent pour dire iii) que la culture de l’AQ/SP au sein du programme de MI est fondée sur le soutien et que le manque d’efficacité lié aux déclarations relatives à la sécurité au sein de l’hôpital ainsi que les désaccords interprofessionnels pourraient causer iv) des obstacles externes à la formation sur l’AQ/SP. En intégrant ces constatations, des solutions fondées sur des données probantes et nécessitant peu de ressources pourraient être incorporées dans le programme d’AQ/SP qui utilise des exigences minimales en matière de préparation et une exploration approfondie des techniques d’AQ/SP sur le mode de la conversation dans le cadre de cas cliniques réels.

Exploring the perceptions and challenges faced by beginning teachers and kindergarten teachers in the realm of distance learning reveals critical insights into the evolving landscape of early education in a digital age. The present study explored the challenges and difficulties experienced by beginning teachers and kindergarteners in the context of distance learning. Qualitative research was conducted through semi-structured interviews involving 254 novice teachers and kindergarten educators. The findings revealed a range of difficulties new teachers face in the distance learning environment. These included challenges in conveying educational content, issues with Wi-Fi and internet connectivity, a lack of resources and technological tools, difficulties in engaging students in Zoom meetings, poor communication between teachers and students, insufficient preparation and training for distance teaching, inadequate digital skills, and a lack of experience among parents with the new method of learning. Understanding the challenges and difficulties that novice teachers encounter, particularly during their initial professional years and in exceptional circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic, is crucial. This understanding not only aids in addressing and surmounting these challenges but also contributes to the enhancement and development of current distance teaching models. Such improvements should consider the specific needs and challenges of new teachers. L'étude des perceptions et des difficultés rencontrées par les enseignants débutants et les enseignants de maternelle dans le domaine de l'enseignement à distance révèle des informations essentielles sur l'évolution du paysage de l'éducation préscolaire à l'ère numérique. La présente étude a exploré les défis et les difficultés rencontrés par les enseignants débutants et les enseignants de maternelle dans le contexte de l'enseignement à distance. La recherche qualitative a été menée par le biais d'entrevues semi-structurées auxquelles ont participé 254 enseignants débutants et éducateurs de maternelle. Les résultats ont révélé une série de difficultés auxquelles les nouveaux enseignants sont confrontés dans le milieu de l'enseignement à distance. Il s'agit notamment des difficultés à transmettre le contenu éducatif, des problèmes de connexion Wi-Fi et Internet, du manque de ressources et d'outils technologiques, des difficultés à faire participer les élèves aux réunions Zoom, de la mauvaise communication entre les enseignants et les élèves, du manque de préparation et de formation à l'enseignement à distance, des compétences numériques inadéquates et du manque d'expérience des parents en ce qui concerne cette nouvelle méthode d'apprentissage. Il est essentiel de comprendre les défis et les difficultés que rencontrent les enseignants débutants, en particulier au cours de leurs premières années professionnelles et dans des circonstances exceptionnelles telles que la pandémie de COVID-19. Cette compréhension permet non seulement d'aborder et de surmonter ces défis, mais aussi de contribuer à l'amélioration et au développement des modèles actuels d'enseignement à distance. Ces améliorations devraient prendre en compte les besoins et les défis spécifiques des nouveaux enseignants.

Abstract Background There is evidence that education improves quality of life and empowers patients with chronic diseases including inflammatory bowel disease(IBD). Education also indicates a better use of ressources enabling relevant treatment to be started earlier. Education meets an increasing wish from patients to be involved. ECCO recommend patient education and state that this is well handled by specialist nurses. When establishing Danish Quality Database for Inflammatory Bowel Disease(DANIBD) the steering committee agreed that education for the newly diagnosed patients with IBD should be an indicator of quality. This was a new task and a big challenge for many clinics and also it was unusual for nursing to stand out so clearly in a database. The tool aims at 1.- supporting the clinics in implementing the new task into clinical practice 2.- securing uniformity in the education in relation to fulfilling the indicator and 3.- improving quality of patient education and nurse consultations to patients with IBD. Methods In the IBD group of the Danish Nursing Association(DSR) it was decided to develop a tool that would serve as an inspiration or could be used directly by the clinics. The tool should ensure that the demands in the indicator was met but should also contain inspiration for other subjects regarding patient education and nurse consultations. Based on literature and the experience of the group members a list of subjects were made and distributed among the group members for developing slides and notes. At plenary meetings all this was put together, structured and edited. In order to get a professional product a collaboration with an art director was established. Financing was secured by donations from the pharmaceutical industry. Results There now are two powerpoint presentations - one for Crohn's disease and one for ulcerative colitis. each presentation is split in two parts. Part one meets the database and part two is an inspiration for covering other subjects relevant for patient education and nurse consultations. The presentations encourages the dialogue with the patient and can be customized by the individual clinics or the individual nurses. The presentations contain additional notes and links to further information. In order to help implement the tool two nurses from each clinic in Denmark were invited to one day of training in using the tool and in communication. The presentations were put on the webpage of the IBD group from where it can be downloaded and used by everyone interested. Conclusion Developing a quality indicator within the database has started an engaging process focusing on the patient and on improving nursong for patients with IBD. It is expected that the tool will help support and empower patients in their lives with IBD.

Major problems in treating patients suffering from addictions derive from the fact that the diagnostic category dependence syndrome covers a highly inhomogeneous patient group. Therefore uniform therapeutic approaches inflexibly following treatment guidelines have not fulfilled prognostic expectations. This was the starting point for developing a new modular resource-oriented treatment program in the Anton Proksch Institute Vienna.Changing paradigms in the treatment of addiction, the Orpheus Programme offers a host of different modules designed to help patients to discover their own aims, objectives, values, and resources. The main task of the Orpheus modules is an increasing autonomous and joyful life. Abstinence represents no longer the only final goal of therapy, but is an important step to offer space and possibilities for the patients’ new life. When life becomes once again beautiful and filled with joy and meaning, addictive substances lose their seductive power: The more beautiful and attractive the patient's life, the less the drugs attractiveness. As illustrated by Orpheus, who defeated the sirens (as a symbol for addictive agents) by making the better, louder, and more attractive music, it becomes the patients’ main task to make a better “music of life”; the Orpheus modules are not training programs telling the patients how the better life looks like (as in former moral therapy); they intend to provide places, spaces and atmospheres encouraging and promoting the patients to make possible the possible.

EinleitungDie präventive Wirkung regelmäßiger körperlicher Aktivität bei kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen und insbesondere bei der koronaren Herzerkrankung (KHK) ist gut belegt. Es besteht eine inverse Dosis-Wirkungs-Beziehung zwischen dem Aktivitätsumfang und der Gesamtmortalität, der kardiovaskulären Morbidität und Mortalität. Dabei besteht der relativ größte präventive Nutzen bereits früh in der Dosis-Wirkungs-Beziehung, d. h. bei bereits niedrigen Trainingsintensitäten im Vergleich zur Inaktivität. Sie steht somit gleichberechtigt neben medikamentösen, interventionellen und operativen Therapieansätzen und kann diese sinnvoll ergänzen. Sporttherapeutische und sportpädagogische Maßnahmen dienen dem Erwerb individueller Ressourcen und Kompetenzen und können auf diesem Wege zur Veränderung des bewegungsbezogenen Lebensstils beitragen. Ein sinnvolles Bewegungs- und Trainingsprogramm für Herzpatienten sollte nach dem heutigen Kenntnisstand Ausdauer-, Koordinations- und Krafttraining beinhalten. Die folgenden Trainingsempfehlungen für Herzpatienten sollen eine therapeutisch angeleitete, dosierte, kontrollierte und damit erfolgreiche Steuerung des Trainings von Menschen mit Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen ermöglichen.

Innovations in digital technologies have the potential to alter how people think, learn, communicate, and collaborate with others. Whereas changes in technology and its affordances have transformed social contexts and learning environments, instructors’ beliefs about digital technologies and pedagogy can affect technology integration behaviours and language teaching practices. This study used a two-phase approach to gain insights into teachers’ digital mindsets and their personal and professional use of technology. In total, 50 teachers were surveyed regarding their technological beliefs and practices, and, among them, three second language teachers were selected and interviewed. Results illustrate that participants recognized and embraced the affordances of digital technologies in their own lives, yet they failed to see their significance in language teaching and learning. Their attitudes and intentions associated with technology uses were compartmentalized; while teachers’ everyday practices were more digital and socially mediated, they struggled to adopt more technology-based teaching practices. Participants identified the lack of training in technology integration in language teaching hindered their use of digital resources, but findings indicate that the teachers’ reluctance to explore emerging technologies and their own technological beliefs and experiences influenced their mindset and teaching practices. Implications and recommendations for second language instruction are discussed. Les innovations de la technologie numérique ont le potentiel de modifier nos manières de penser, d’apprendre, de communiquer et de collaborer. Or, même si l’évolution technologique et ses affordances, ou potentialités, ont transformé les contextes sociaux et les milieux d’apprentissage, les croyances des professeurs concernant les technologies et la pédagogie numériques peuvent néanmoins influer sur les comportements relatifs à l’intégration des technologies aux pratiques liées à l’enseignement des langues. La présente étude est le compte rendu d’une approche en deux étapes adoptée afin de permettre de mieux comprendre la mentalité des professeurs face au numérique ainsi que leurs utilisations personnelles et professionnelles de la technologie. En tout, 50 professeurs ont fait l’objet d’un sondage concernant leurs croyances et leurs pratiques technologiques, y compris trois professeurs de langue seconde qui ont été sélectionnés pour une entrevue. Les résultats démontrent que même s’ils reconnaissent et recourent aux affordances des technologies numériques dans leur vie personnelle, les participantes et participants n’en reconnaissent point l’importance pour l’enseignement et l’apprentissage des langues. Leurs attitudes et intentions en lien avec les utilisations de la technologie étaient compartimentées : même si leurs pratiques quotidiennes étaient plus numériques et paissaient davantage par les médias sociaux, les professeurs avaient du mal à adopter des pratiques pédagogiques davantage fondées sur la technologie. Les participantes et participants ont précisé que le manque de formations dans le domaine de l’intégration de la technologie dans l’enseignement des langues les empêchait d’utiliser les ressources numériques, mais les constatations de l’enquête indiquent toutefois que leur répugnance à explorer les nouvelles technologies ainsi que leurs croyances et expériences technologiques personnelles avaient une influence sur leur mentalité et leurs pratiques pédagogiques. L’étude renferme une discussion des implications de cet état de fait et offre des recommandations pour l’enseignement d’une langue seconde.
