Texte intégralThe discrete self-assembled metal assisted structures are big size edifices which do not crystallize easily and decompose rapidly. Moreover, the resolution of these structures is difficult because of the medium quality of the diffraction data sets. Different crystals selection techniques and a refinement method, applied to the supramolecular cages, are discussed, with a particular focus on the use of the Squeeze program which allows the suppression of the disordered atoms and molecules contributions. Two types of isolated and interlocked cages are structurally described. In the second part, a series of new organic conducting materials based on TMTSF and on TTF derivatives, incorporating a novel fluoro-tantalate anion, is described. The structure-conducting properties relationship is discussed. The first Bechgaard phase with a magnetic anion, namely hexafluororhenate, is described, together with its temperature dependent stability and conducting properties. TMTSF and BEDT-TTF have been associated to several mixed tantalum, rhenium or phosphorous hexafluoro anions to provide new conducting alloys. These syntheses also afforded crystalline materials with original anions. Two methods to estimate the oxydation state of the TMTSF donors are compared for several radical cation salts, either prepared during this PhD work or selected from a crystallographic data base

In our previous studies, we developed an unique 3D skeleton based on truxene moiety. With incorporating various functional structures onto C5, C10, and C15 position of the truxene core, the successful synthetical strategy giving intriguing molecules through orthogonally and distinguishably modify active sites provides us an efficient way to further inspect on the diversity of its 3D derivatives. As a result, via involving the 3D truxene core, the thesis extend the applications of these various derivatives in supramolecular chemistry. Herein, we synthesized newly 3D organic gelator TDMDA which constructed by amide groups with long hydrocarbon chains. The morphology of TDMDA was found in fibrillar and globular morphology when dissolved in cyclohexane and methanol respectively and are characterized by SEM and TEM for close view. Moreover, gelator TDMDA incorporating amphipathic groups whose self-assembly display in-situ reversible transformation of aggregate morphology between fibrillar and globular upon exposure to different solvent. On the other hand, we also develope halide anion receptors TPTB and TDMTB from click chemistry. Accroding to NMR titration experiment, we found both of them have the best affinity to chloride due to the proper size of inner cavity. At last, we functionalized pyrene moiety onto the 3D architecture to achieve TPTHP and TDMTHP as C60 receptors, expecting it has good affinity with C60 via donor-acceptor and π-π interaction.

In supramolecular chemistry, constructing a well-defined three-dimensional cage has attracted more and more attention. Herein, we explore the possibility of exterior functionalization for the self-assembled cages. A series of tritopic terpyridine-based ligands with various exterior functionalities was used to construct metallo-supramolecular cages. To investigate the self-assembly behavior of the predesigned tritopic ligand system, ligands with simple hydroxyl and alkyl substituents were synthesized and complexed with Cd(II) and Zn(II) ions to give supramolecular cubic cages that were well characterized by 1H-NMR, ESI-MS, and electron microscopes. Besides, changing connected positions between the terpyridine moieties and the central core to generate a bent version of the tritopic ligand was successfully used for constructing a smaller supramolecular structure, demonstrating a simple method to build variant metallo-supramolecular structures. To date, the polymer solar cells (PSCs) with P3HT and PCBM as an active layer suffer from a severe lifetime problem, which is partly caused by the macrophase separation from the aggregation of PCBM with time. Based on our new findings, the tritopic terpyridine-based ligand decorated with pendant fullerene groups was successfully synthesized and self-assembled into a functional metallocage via coordination. In addition, the fullerene-functionalized cage was used as a supramolecular crosslinker to alleviate the macrophase aggregation caused by the migration of the C60 acceptor, which significantly improved the stability of organic photovoltaics.

Molecular self-assembly using metal-ligand coordinative interaction has drawn much attention in recent years. Utilizing non-covalent interactions provides a facile way to construct large and complicated 2D/3D structures in contrast with the conventional organic chemistry. Moreover, incorporation of orthogonal host-guest and metal-coordination interactions into supramolecular structures will enhance their structural complexity and impart additional functions. In this research, we designed and synthesized a series of metallo-supramolecular cages possessing multiple
