Résumé :

Wrzeszcz is one of the oldest suburban districts, incorporated into Gdańsk in 1814. In the nineteenth century, the district gained railway and tram connections and it developed dynamically. Rural buildings quickly gave way to manor houses, new villa districts were created. In the picturesque surroundings of forested hills, new eclectic villas were built along Jaśkowa Dolina Street. Most of them survived World War II and still enchants us with their beauty.

Résumé :

Mining is one of the most important industrial activities worldwide. During its different stages numerous impacts are generated to the environment. The activities in the region have generated a great amount of mining residues, which have caused severe pollution and health effects in both human population and biotic components. The aim of this paper was to assess the impact of mining activities on biotic communities within the district of Villa de la Paz. The results showed that the concentrations of As and Pb in soil were higher than the national regulations for urban or agricultural areas. The bioavailability of these metals was certified by the presence of them in the roots of species of plants and in kidneys and livers of wild rodents. In regard to the community analysis, the sites that were located close to the mining district of Villa de la Paz registered a lower biological diversity, in both plants and wild rodents, aside from showing a change in the species composition of plant communities. The results of this study are evidence of the impact of mining on biotic communities, and the need to take into account the wildlife in the assessment of contaminated sites.

AbstractA vitric fiamme containing BaO-bearing sanidine (BaO = 11 wt.%) was sampled (via di Fioranello, Rome) in the pyroclastic products of the Lower Flow Unit (LFU) belonging to the Villa Senni Eruption Unit in the Colli Albani Volcanic District (Roman Comagmatic Province, Central Italy). The fiamme of the LFU is essentially made up of glass, in which scarce phenocrysts of BaO-bearing sanidine, leucite and Al2O3-bearing Ca-clinopyroxene occur. In this paper the various parameters controlling barium partitioning between alkali feldspar and LFU liquid, are discussed.

This research provides a characterization of ancient Roman mortars from “Villa del Capo di Sorrento” (commonly known as “Villa di Pollio Felice” or “Bagni della Regina Giovanna”). A deepened analysis of cementitious binding matrix and aggregates was conducted with the aims of determining possible sources of raw materials and the mix recipe, and to evaluate the minerogenetic secondary processes. Twenty samples taken from the Villa were investigated by means of a multi-analytical approach, including polarized optical microscopy on thin sections, X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy analysis, energy dispersed spectrometry, simultaneous thermal analyses, and mercury intrusion porosimetry. Bedding mortars were made with slaked lime mixed with volcanic materials, whereas coating mortars were made adding to previous recipe as ceramic fragments. All samples were classified as hydraulic mortars. Cementitious binding matrix was characterized by gel-like C-A-S-H, calcite, hydrocalumite, and gypsum, deriving from lime/pozzolanic material. Geomaterials used for mortar production had a local origin. Pozzolanic materials, such as volcanic fragments, scoriae, pumice, and crystal fragments derived from both pyroclastic rocks of the Campi Flegrei district and from rocks of the Somma-Vesuvio complex; porosity test suggest that the products related to minerogenetic secondary processes, make mortars more resistant.

The spread of the Corona virus or better known as Covid-19 cannot be estimated when it will end. This condition is very concerning, including Indonesia, which has the highest death toll in Southeast Asia. This virus has also spread in North Sumatra including Deli Serdang Regency. One of the biggest challenges in mitigating Covid-19 is building public awareness about the importance of following the Covid-19 protocol in carrying out daily activities. Unfortunately, this condition is exacerbated by the low level of public awareness by ignoring health protocols during the pandemic period. It is hoped that the role of universities in educating the public can help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and increase community participation in mitigating efforts to prevent its spread. One of them is through community service activities by utilizing traditional ingredients for health drinks which are held at the Villa Mutiara Johor II Complex and its surroundings, Kec. Namorame, Deli Serdang Regency.

The success of agricultural development is strongly related to how far information of innovation reached the farmers. Here lies the importance of agricultural outreach communication by observing the level of farmers innovativeness in practicing organic cropping pattern. This research observes the relation between farmers innovativeness with the organic farming practice level of sustainability. The innovativeness variables being observed are the social-economy, individual and communication activities. Variables being observed in the organic farming practice is the implementation of organic farming principles such as over three years land conversion, usage of local seeds, the use of organic fertilizer, the use of non chemical pesticides and division of land and irrigation from the non-organic farming. This research was carried in the Sungai Rengas Villa, Sungai Kakap Sub-district, Kubu Raya District, West Kalimantan. The research employs explanatory research method, with data collection by survey. This research took samples of 36 respondents. Primary data in the research was collected through questionnaires accompanied by interviews to a number of organic farmer in Sungai Rengas Village, Sungai Kakap Sub-district, Kubu Raya District. Secondary data was taken from the local government institution (village/sub-district), Department of Lands, Agricultural and Plantation Office, or related statistical data accessible in the internet. After the data was collected, it was coded and input into SPSS.

Purpose The paper will present the case study of preventive and planned conservation applied to the Royal Villa and Park of Monza, which is one of the pilot projects within the general framework of Monza and Brianza Cultural District. Starting from an in-depth analysis of the Royal Villa, which represents a recent conservation and valorisation intervention developed by both public and private subjects, the purpose of this paper is to define an operative model for the management of complex properties, at communicating good practices for the maintenance of the built heritage and at identifying the priorities for the interventions. Design/methodology/approach The research project foresaw a first collection of data and information related to the previous conservation activities executed upon the case study, the design of a conservation plan in all its parts (technical handbook, conservation programme, economic budget, user handbook) through an information system dedicated to the conservation of built cultural heritage, and its fulfilment. In the meantime, a context analysis of the Royal Villa and Park of Monza was developed, with a specific attention to the diversified historical buildings located in the park. Findings The action research carried out has been evaluated in the framework of upstream perspective theories. This enabled to highlight the importance of an integrated approach; of the need of sharing the collection of data in order to set up evidence-based policies; and of the need to enhance the skills of involved professionals and decision makers. Originality/value A progress in protection measures, the understanding of conservation and valorisation as preventive activities, effectiveness of private business models for maintenance, dissemination of good practices, and creation of a network of local stakeholders.

2D sketch plans are hard to interpret for non-professionals and do not contain enough information for plan evaluation. Simple extrusion of 2D sketch plans into 3D will not suffice. This problem is faced by stakeholders in the early stages of the plan design process. Landscape types play an important role in bridging the gap between abstract 2D plans and 3D physical models. A landscape type consists of pictures from an existing landscape, a 3D model and additional attributes providing quantitative data. Through a matching algorithm, 2D landscape components in the sketch plan are replaced by 3D objects. Multiple 3D plans can be created from a specific area with different landscape types. These 3D plans are visualized with a high level of realism and they can be evaluated using the additional data. In this paper examples are shown for an apartment district and a villa district under different energy scenarios. The visual consequences of strategic energy decisions become apparent in the 3D model.

The growth of tourism accommodation (villa) in the district of Kuta Utara, which is so rapid and uncontrolled, tends to have raised some concerns on the impact that may arise (socio-cultural, environmental and economic). The gap between benefit and cost of the phenomenon raises the question of how perception, response, changes the behavior of the culture and mindset of the local community towards the development of their area travel accommodation. To examine the case, this study combines the two forms of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies (multi-method). The qualitative methods done by observing a research site to see the behavior of local people in the village of Seminyak and informal talks (interview) that is guided by an interview guidelines related to the perception of the local community, the village headman, and the managers of accommodation (villa). While quantitative methods conducted by distributing questionnaires to local communities (90 respondents) were selected randomly. The result of this study is the public response to the development of the accommodation is in the phase of “Euphoria”. It is seen from some of the symptoms, which generally public responses tend to more focus on the advantage of the economic aspects and as if the exclusion of other effects that arise as the socio-cultural and environmental.

The location of the research was carried out at Villa Melati Permai II Housing which is on the Melati Indah Street, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. Villa Melati Permai II is categorized as middle to upper-class housing but does not have its access network. This research will make the modeling of FTTH (Fiber To The Home) networks with network feasibility parameters to produce quality and appropriate FTTH networks. Manual calculation on the feasibility of FTTH networks using the power link budget and rise time budget shows results within the feasibility limit, which does not exceed the maximum limit for the power link budget of -27 dBm and rise time budget below the total time of bit rates. Calculation with NRZ (Non-Return to Zero) coding produces a downstream value of 0.2813 ns and upstream 0.562 ns. System performance parameters that show signal to noise ratio and bit error rate deliver good quality. Signal to noise ratio exceeds the minimum limit of PT. Telkom standard that is 21.5 dB and the bit error rate does not exceed the optical link standard which is 10-9. Good performance is also shown by eye pattern in optical simulation that displays amplitude signals with the same time and shows clear differences between bits 1 and bits 0.

Abstract Presentation of contemporary trends in development of such residential units as peripheral housing estates in large Polish cities, as exemplified by Warsaw, is the objective of the paper. Such units are compared with their counterparts being built in Berlin. Research was carried out in three housing estates in the western part of the Bemowo District of Warsaw, i.e. Lazurowa (developer J.W. Construction), Nad Jeziorem (developer DoR Group) and Villa L’Azur (developer Bouygues Immobilier Polska). The first two were completed at the turn of 2008/2009. The third is in the final stage of construction. All three are located inside immediate city borders. Within framework of research were carried out analysis of developers’ materials, cartographic materials from the City Hall as well as field research. The results were juxtaposed with research made in 2008 in Berlin.

Resumen: Criar en colores, nuevas experiencias es un proyecto de arte y salud llevado a cabo en el distrito Villa de Vallecas, Madrid. La intervención, perteneciente al Programa de salud sexual y reproductiva, se encuadra en los programas de promoción y prevención de la salud de los Centros Municipales de Salud Comunitaria del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, en conjunto con el Centro de Servicios Sociales de la Comunidad de Madrid. Se trata de un programa desarrollado semanalmente entre los meses de enero a abril de 2018, en el Centro de Servicios Sociales de Fuentidueña de Villa de Vallecas. La intervención fue llevada a cabo por una profesional del arte y la salud, profesionales de la medicina de Madrid Salud, y los educadores sociales de familia del centro de servicios sociales . El taller se desarrolló con un grupo de mujeres, madres jóvenes de población gitana, beneficiarias de la prestación de renta mínima de inserción, RMI. El grupo denominado Aprendiendo a ser madres, se había formado hace dos años en el centro. Uno de los principales objetivos planteados fue continuar en la línea de formación de este grupo, y para ello se presentó un programa de arte (acuarela y técnicas al agua), a través del cual las mujeres desarrollarían con un lenguaje plástico y artístico, experiencias de bienestar, disfrute, encuentro con sus hijos/as y descubrimiento de nuevos espacios de salud. The intervention is part of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program and constitutes one of the health promotion and prevention programs implemented by Municipal Health Centers of the City of Madrid in conjunction with Madrid’s Community Social Services Center. The intervention was developed on a weekly basis between January and April 2018 in the Social Services Center of Fuentidueña, Villa de Vallecas, and was carried out by an artist and educator, medical professionals from Madrid Salud and social family educators from the social services center. The workshop was oriented to a group of young gypsy mothers, called Learning to be Mothers, who are beneficiaries of the minimum insertion income (RMI). The group was formed two years ago at the center. One of the main objectives was to continue the capacitation of this group. With this purpose, an art program (Watercolor and water techniques) was presented, and through it women would develop, with plastic and artistic languages, experiences of well-being, enjoyment, connecting with their children and discovering new health spaces. In a scene in Michal Goldman's documentary film Umm Kulthum: A Voice Like Egypt, two female friends of Umm Kulthum are reminiscing about her decision in the 1930s to purchase land for a villa in Cairo's Zamalek district. At the time, the women relate, Zamalek had very few buildings and was considered a remote location, far from the city center. “What were you thinking about to buy something so far away?” one of the women recalls her mother telling Umm Kulthum. At this point, the other woman, who had been distractedly knitting a scarf on her lap, suddenly brightens up and enters the conversation: “Do you remember the water wheel on the river in front of her house?” she excitedly asks her companion. “There was a waterwheel.” She imitates its high-pitched whirring sound as she turns her hand to trace the circular path of the wheel itself. “People used to say she kept it to remind her of the old days.”

Abstract. The purpose of the study was to assess the quality of groundwater used for irrigation of individual plots of land, belonging to the residents of the Sosnovskiy district of the Chelyabinsk region. Material: 73 samples taken in wells and boreholes on the territory of private land plots, villages, villa communities and garden non-profit partnerships. Methods: 30 indicators of water composition were determined (common indicators – 6, major ions and carbonate ion – 8, compounds of nitrogen, phosphorus and organic matter – 5, heavy metals and silicon – 11) using capillary electrophoresis, atomic absorption, potentiometry, spectrophotometry and conductometry. Statistical analysis included: estimation of means with 95 % confidence intervals (95 % CI) calculated by bootstrap (Kaplan – Meier method was used for censored observations), relative frequencies (in percent) with 95 % CI (Jeffreys method and simultaneous CI by Wilson). Data was visualized using Piper’s and Gibbs’ diagrams. Software: PAST, Scout 2008, R, DescTool, GW_Chart, KyPlot, QGIS. Results. On the territory of the Sosnovsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, (Ca2+–Mg2+ and HCO3––CO32–) type groundwater prevails with a pH 7.39 (95 % CI: from 7.30 to 7.48) and a TDS 651 mg/dm3 (95 % CI: from 598 to 720). Using Piper and Gibbs diagrams, it was established that the leading processes of the water chemical composition formation are: 1) the dissolution of the calcite-dolomite series’ minerals of sedimentary rocks, 2) the dissolution and the ion exchange of feldspars in the composition of granites with calcite. For mineralization and risks of chloride salinization, sodium salinization, magnesium salinization and soda formation, the proportion of samples with quality for irrigation purposes I and II category is 65.7 %. There are excesses of standards in the concentration of NO3- (24.7 % of samples), Ba (68.3 %), Cd (30.4 %), Fe (15.3 %), Mn (12.9 %), Pb (6.3 %).

Résumé :

ObjectivesTo describe and quantify the dengue-related knowledge, attitudes and practices of residents in an urban shantytown in Lima, Peru.Design/settingA cross-sectional survey of adults between 18 and 80 years living in approximately 120 blocks in Oasis, an urban shantytown situated in the low-to-middle income district of Villa El Salvador in Southern Lima. The survey was adapted from an existing survey previously used in Iquitos, Peru, and included questions relating to knowledge of dengue symptoms, transmission, prevention and current mosquito control practices.ParticipantsA total of 240 surveys were completed with 80% of respondents being female and approximately 50% of all respondents describing themselves as housewives.ResultsAlthough 97.9% of respondents had heard of dengue, only 6.2% of people knew someone who had experienced the disease. Approximately half (54.2%) of the respondents knew dengue was transmitted by mosquitoes and 51.7% were able to identify fever and one other correct symptom of dengue. Female sex was significantly associated with greater symptom knowledge (OR 2.22, 95% CI 1.08 to 4.72) and prevention knowledge (OR 2.12, 95% CI 1.06 to 4.21). Past or current higher education attendance was significantly associated with symptom knowledge (OR 2.56, 95% CI 1.25 to 5.44) and transmission knowledge (OR 3.46, 95% CI 1.69 to 7.57). Knowledge of dengue was not significantly associated with carrying out practices to control mosquitoes (OR 1.76, 95% CI 0.87 to 3.54).ConclusionsThis population demonstrated baseline dengue knowledge. However, this was incomplete and substantially less when compared with endemic areas. Given the sporadic nature of dengue transmission in Lima, it is not surprising that knowledge of the disease was not associated with carrying out practices to reduce mosquitoes. However, as dengue transmission in Lima is likely to increase, understanding how best to improve public knowledge of the disease and how to translate this into appropriate community action will be a key public health consideration.

This study aims to determine the existence of ukhuwah-based sharia accounting practices at 212 AlFatih Villa Mutiara Mart which is a sharia-based modern retail shop located on Jl. Ir. Soetami, Bringkanaya District, Makassar City. This research is a research in the field of qualitative ethnometodology. The ethnomethodology method is one of the approaches in qualitative research that seeks to describe how human behavior or actions within the "culture" are related to the interaction patterns that occur and the background of their actions, and the study leads to an effort to understand the meaning that exists in the life of an organization or group. the people inside. The results show that the ukhuwah-based sharia accounting practice is very distinctive, built by the 212 alumni community, which is a group of Islamic people who steadfastly defend their religion. So that the characteristics of accounting do not escape the cultural values that are covered by Islamic values, namely help, trust and affection and love. The syariah accounting system is based on brotherhood in the midst of the development of accounting in Indonesia, and incidentally was born from the womb of the Muslim community.

Financial Technology (Fin Tech) is a form of technology-based financial service that is developing in the world. The purpose of Financial Technology is to facilitate the transaction process between buyers and sellers and to reduce gaps or fraud in the transaction process. However, the gap of financial knowledge, especially digital financial technology, is wide and deep. Therefore the importance of financial knowledge (financial literacy) to the community is a necessity to be carried out synergistically by stakeholders including regulators, relevant ministries / government bodies, industry associations and fintech actors, financial service institutions and others. In addition to fintech products such as digital wallets that are well known to the public, an important element in the management of knowledge is to explain aspects of transparency regarding business processes and risks of fintech. Based on this phenomenon, the community service team of the University of Pamulang S1 Accounting Study Program has conducted online counseling via the zoom application for RT 03 Residents of Villa Mellia Housing, Gunung Sindur District, Bogor Regency as a concern for the importance of understanding the use of fintech in daily life in the era globalization with digital wallets with the importance of applying good financial literacy.

Buildings with architectural constraints and recognized historical values require a careful design process, aiming to combine the needs of conservation and the adaptation of the buildings to the modern use and its accessibility. The feasible interventions consist in improving the energy performance of the building envelope, in inserting efficient technological systems and using renewable energy sources where possible. The compatibility between the architectural constraints of the building and its more sustainable future use represents a crucial challenge. This work presents the interventions designed and realized on a small villa located in the Prati district, in Rome. Starting from the requests of the client, the primary objective was to create a comfortable house both in the winter and in the summer season, with widespread use of automation systems for managing the utilities. In line with the current energy scenario, the interventions were oriented to energy efficiency, the reduction of polluting emissions, the electrification of utilities and the use of renewable energy sources. The proposed solutions showed high gains in terms of energy saving even if the changes to the building envelope were limited by the desire to preserve the values of the cultural heritage. Therefore, a virtuous refurbishment can effectively respond to current energy efficiency goals.

Abstract Objectives To examine the association between food insecurity – the inability to acquire adequate nutritious foods due to economic constraints – and perceptions of food accessibility, quality, and variety in one's neighborhood in a low socioeconomic district of Lima, Peru. Methods A household survey was conducted among randomly selected households with at least one child <18 years of age in Villa El Salvador (Lima, Peru; N = 329). The language-validated questionnaire included questions from the Perceived Nutrition Environment Measures Survey (NEMS), which were adapted to the local setting and translated into Spanish. These NEMS questions assessed perceived accessibility, quality, and variety of foods in the neighborhood of residence on a Likert scale (e.g., 1 = completely agree to 5 = completely disagree) and were later dichotomized for analysis. The questionnaire also included the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFAIS), to measure food insecurity. Multivariable logistic regression was used to assess the association between the perceived neighborhood food environment and food insecurity, adjusting for sociodemographic variables. Results About 77% of the households reported having food insecurity. Adjusting for age, gender, and education of the homemaker, food insecurity was associated with perceptions of decreased accessibility to fresh fruits and vegetables (OR = 5.05; 95% CI = 2.03–12.60) and low-fat products (OR = 2.07; 95% CI = 1.18, 3.65); low quality of fresh fruits and vegetables (OR = 3.28; 95% CI = 1.84, 5.86) and low-fat products (OR = 2.13; 95% CI = 1.22, 3.73); and a low variety of fresh fruits and vegetables (OR = 2.62; 95% CI = 1.43, 4.79) in the neighborhood. Conclusions Food insecure families living in a low-income district in Lima, Peru share negative perceptions of access, quality, and variety of food in their surrounding neighborhood. Efforts to improve the availability of affordable healthy foods in low-income neighborhoods in Lima may help ameliorate food insecurity. At approximatety eight o'clock in the morning on the 22nd of June, 1719, Don Gaspar Agüero de los Reyes y San Pelayo, thealcalde mayor(Spanish magistrate) of the district of Villa Alta, Oaxaca, prepared to depart on horseback from the town square of the Zapotec pueblo of San Juan Juquila toward four disputed parcels of land. Standing with him in the square were the cabildo officers of San Juan Juquila and San Juan Tanetze, who had been engaged in a legal battle over the land for four years. Their lawyers stood with them. Juan Tirado, a district interpreter, and court witnesses (in lieu of an official notary) translated and notarized the proceedings. From his perch on the back of his horse, the alcalde mayor read the legal decision in the dispute, which the interpreter translated for the benefit of the Zapotec officials. The auxiliary judge, who rendered the decision in the case from the distance and comfort of the diocesan seat of Antequera, had ordered that the land in question should be divided equally between the two pueblos. The lawyer for the cabildo of Tanetze voiced his official protest and vowed to appeal the case to the Real Audiencia. The alcalde mayor registered the protest. Then, he addressed another group of men who had been waiting in the wings: Juan de Yllescas, Andrés Ramos, Juan Baptista, Pedro Hernandes, and Nicolas Santiago, all natives of the Zapotec pueblo of San Miguel Talea, and all of whom had testified in an earlierprobanzaon behalf of the pueblo of Juquila. Through his interpreter, the magistrate swore them in as witnesses and ordered them to guide the group to the disputed territory, identify the parcels of land and their borders, and determine where they should be divided. From this point on, the Zapotec witnesses took the lead and proceeded toward the disputed territory along the Camino Real, with their “faces pointing south.” In this manner, the legal ritual of boundary marking (amojonamiento) began.

This research was conducted to determine the effect of Mount Agung eruption on the production of sculpture in Sebatu Village, Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency. The types of data and sources of data used are qualitative, primary and secondary data. Data collection is conducted by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used was qualitative data analysis to seek the relationship between the influence of the Mount Agung eruption on the qaunitity of sculpture production and the distribution network of sculpture crafts in Sebatu Village. The results of this study indicate that sculpture crafts produced in Sebatu Village are a type of contemporary sculpture that is dominated by animal statues. The production capacity of sculpture crafts in Sebatu village after the eruption of Mount Agung has increased, contrary to when the eruption occurred tourists could not come directly to order sculpture and their production capacity had declined. The working system of sculpture craftsmen has started to run normally with increasing production capacity. The distribution network of sculpture crafts in Sebatu Village can be distributed in five ways through distribution to the Sukawati art market, Balinese souvenirs, shipping by sea, shipping via cargo and distribution to the villa. From the conclusion, the Gianyar Regency Government should provide capital support for the sculpture industry, especially in Sebatu Village, Tegallalang District.There is a need to increase capital for handicraft business owners by providing financial or credit assistance for sculpture.Thus, there will be many entrepreneurs who are growing and increasing their production. The porpuse of this research is to know how big result of work outside agriculture sector can give guarantee of survival of farmer's household in Cemagi Village, Mengwi Sub-district, Badung Regency, Bali Province. The method used in the research is purporsive sampling method is a way of determining the location deliberately on the basis of consideration. The village is one of the villages that most of the farmers use their spare time to do work outside the agricultural sector, and no similar research has ever been done. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods used were interviews and questionnaires. The data is analyzed by dividing household income from outside agriculture sector with the total income of farmer household and then suppressed. Data the results of the interview if the respondents data interviewed showed that the work outside the agricultural sector utilized by most of the villagers of Cemagi who worked as farmers to improve the welfare of farm households doing work outside the agricultural sector on the sidelines of time to spare. The results of the analysis of respondents if the data data show work outside the agricultural sector that is utilized by most of the people of Cemagi Village who work as farmers to improve the welfare of household farmers as much; 24.05%, doing work outside the agricultural sector on the sidelines of leisure time. The work done include: as a builder of the house accounted for 31.35%, as sand transport workers as much as 24.75%, and the rest there as a truck driver. As hotel employee and villa 28.80 % and as 16.52% of the rest there are as entrepreneurs and others. Looking at the considerable contribution of the carpentry sector, the work can still be undertaken by the farmers of respondents as long as no other work is considered better in helping to increase the income of farm households. This article is a contribution to the continuing debate on the character and electoral fortunes of the Conservative party in late Victorian England. Using the West Riding borough of Leeds as a case study, this article focuses on suburban Conservatism (villa toryism) and situates it within the broader context of urban Conservatism in and beyond Leeds. It explores the nature of Conservative electoral dominance in the period after the Third Reform Act. In doing so, it further challenges conventional interpretations about the rise of class-based politics. As the example of Leeds demonstrates, villa toryism was not the political expression of a socially homogeneous, innately conservative suburban middle class. The intense electoral competition that ensued challenges assumptions about suburbia being politically quiescent and dull. Popular Conservatism, it is argued, was a protean and socially heterogeneous political culture, of which villa toryism was one distinctive strand. Villa toryism was the suburban incarnation of respectable, self-reliant, hierarchical, and domesticated popular Conservatism. This villa toryism was distinct from, but related to, the working-class Conservatism of the older industrial districts of urban England.

En effet, bien que situe dans laire dinfluence theorique de la capitale economique Abidjan, la ville satellite dAnyama a linstar des autres se trouve confrontee a la problematique des inegalites de laccessibilite aux services deau. Pour latteinte de lobjectif detude, la methodologie deployee sarticule autour dune recherche documentaire, une observation directe, des entretiens et une enquete par questionnaire realisee avec plusieurs menages. Les resultats de notre recherche revelent que la ville dAnyama, ville peripherique de la capitale Abidjan, connaÃ®t une desserte segregative de lacces a leau potable. Laquellemanifeste par une disparite spatiale et quantitative des menages de la ville. Cette inegalite est imputable a uneplusieurs facteurs : offre deau inferieure aux besoins actuels des populations,etalement spatial inferieure a levolution du lineaire de reseau deau et conditions socio-economiques des menages.

Suburbanization is a process to shape built areas as an impact urban development expansion (Wiratmaja, 2002:33). The real form of suburbanization is shift settlements activity towards suburban area. Therefore, many new development settlements are made to accommodate city core inhabitants at this time. Pedalangan Subdistrict and Bulusan which are part of Banyumanik District also Tembalang has been filled by new formal settlements such as Graha Estetika, Graha Sapta Asri, Grand Tembalang Regency, Villa Tembalang, and Korpri. Whereas, urban settlements in Pedalangan Subdistrict also Bulusan is not only consist of estate that is part of formal settlements but also Kampong which is a part of informal settlements. Mostly, new developments of formal settlements build nearby informal settlements that have been there first. These things have a potential thing to emerge disparity related social, economic, cultural, physical, and spatial aspect. One of the most spatial impacts that will appear is the land price differentiation between formal and informal settlements. Based on that phenomenon is formulated statement research “There was land price differentiation as an impact of mix urban settlements between formal and informal settlements in suburban area.” This research aims to identify land price differentiation that occurred as an impact of mix urban settlements in suburban area. In order to achieve that purpose, the process of identification and analysis need to carry on towards factors that could affect the land price such as land physic characteristic, accessibility, facility and infrastructure availability, ownership status, and environmental quality. This research will use quantitative descriptive analysis with descriptive statistics based on the results of questionnaires and observation. Based on findings, that indicate there are only two factors that can be land price differentiation between formal and informal settlements is the ease of accessibility and facility and infrastructure availability. The land physic characteristic, ownership status, and environmental quality can not to identify land price differentiation because of these characteristics of each these factors are almost equally between formal and informal settlements. Based on the results of the study findings it can be concluded that there are land price differentiation between formal and informal settlements caused by mix urban settlements. It also need a form of problem solve such as zoning regulation, land conversion regulation, land transaction regulation, land taxation, and regulation of new building that aims to control development of suburban areas to be more focused by considering the integration process physical, social, and economic community.

One of the results of the educational reform of the 1860s was the formation of the regular personnel of village teachers. In Vilna educational district the goal was not to invite teachers from central Russia, but to train them on the spot by establishing special seminaries. Trained teachers were supposed to perform the role of «cultural brokers» – the intermediaries between local peasants and the outside world, between the culture of Russian intelligentsia and the culture of the Belarusian people. The article examines how officials and teachers of Vilna educational district saw the role of rural teachers as «cultural brokers» in the context of the linguistic and cultural diversity of the North-Western Provinces. According to them, the graduates of the pedagogical seminaries had to remain within the peasant estate and to keep in touch with their folk «roots». The special «mission» of the village teachers was in promoting the ideas of «Russian elements» and historical proximity to Russia among Belarusian peasants.

Abstrak Canggu adalah sebuah desa yang terletak di kabupaten Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung sebagai Daerah Pengembangan Badung Tengah yang memiliki kebijakan mempertahankan Badung Tengah sebagai daerah pertanian dalam arti luas dan mencegah konversi sawah. Pertanyaan penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah tentang dampak pariwisata terhadap konversi lahan. Pemilihan desa Canggu sebagai lokasi penelitian karena desa Canggu berada di tengah-tengah wilayah Badung sebagai daerah pertanian, alam dan budaya sebagai semangat pariwisata desa Canggu, desa Canggu dipengaruhi oleh pembangunan fasilitas akomodasi. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dari data primer dan sekunder. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Penentuan informan penelitian ini dimulai dengan menentukan informan pertama dan informan kunci. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Menurut hasil penelitian di desa Canggu didapat hasil sebagai berikut pengembangan pariwisata berdampak pada peningkatan konversi lahan pertanian, perubahan penggunaan lahan juga berdampak pada perubahan sosiokultural. Adapun lokasi penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan perkembangan pariwisata terhadap alih fungui lahan, hasil dari penelitian ini perkembangan pariwisata terhadap alih fungsi lahan berdampak pada kesejahtraan masyarakat Desa Canggu. Lahan yang dialih fungsikan dibangun Hotel, Homestay, Villa, Restoran, Laundry dan lain sebagainya yang menunjang ketertarikan wistawan, untuk berwisata ke Desa Canggu. Alih fungsi lahan merupakan suatu tolok ukur untuk meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi warga Desa canggu. Hal ini menyebabkan minat masyarakat menjadi meningkat untuk mengubah fungsi lahan mereka sebagai media penghubung perkembangan pariwisata tersebut. Faktor lain yang menyebabkan perubahan alih fungsi lahan di Desa Canggu adalah tingginya nilai permintaan dari wisatawan terhadap vasilitas yang disediakan. Kata kunci: Pariwisata dan alih fungsi lahan Abstract Canggu is a village located in North Kuta district, Badung Regency as the Central Badung Development Area which has a policy of maintaining Central Badung as an agricultural area in the broad sense and conversion of rice fields. The research question of this research is about research on land conversion. The selection of the Canggu village as a research location is because the Canggu village is in the middle of the Badung area as an agricultural, natural and cultural area such as the spirit of tourism in the Canggu village, the Canggu village works with the construction of recreational facilities. The type of data in this study is the source of qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary data. Research data were collected through interviews and library research. The determination of the informants of this study begins with determining the first informant and key informant. The data analysis technique of this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. According to the results of research in the village of Canggu obtained the following results the development of tourism has an impact on increasing agricultural land conversion, land use changes also have an impact on sociocultural change. The research location is determined based on the development of tourism on land use change, the results of this study the development of tourism on land use change has an impact on the welfare of the people of Canggu Village. The land that has been converted has been built by hotels, homestays, villas, restaurants, laundry and others that support the interests of tourists, for a trip to Canggu Village. Transfer of land functions is a benchmark to increase the economic income of residents of Canggu Village. This causes the interest of the community to increase to change the function of their land as a media liaison with the development of tourism. The Place Ville-Marie development was central to the renovation of Montreal during the 1950s and 1960s. Its cruciform office tower transformed the city’s skyline and marked the removal of the city’s financial district from St. James Street to the new alley of skyscrapers on Dorchester Boulevard (now Boulevard René Lévesque). Earlier studies have emphasized the role of modern planning in the making of Place Ville-Marie and other post–Second World War urban redevelopment projects. This article advances an interpretation of Place Ville-Marie as a capital investment in the “production of space.” The project was a highly speculative effort by its developer, William Zeckendorf, to utilize monumental architecture to sell prestige to corporate tenants. This took place in specific, historically contingent, and politically contested circumstances. In a period when modernization was a powerful and popular idea, Zeckendorf cultivated a myth about Place Ville-Marie that accommodated and absorbed nationalist aspirations within Montreal and Canada that were fixed upon the panacea of modernization. While Zeckendorf’s financial woes and the overcapacity of office space that Place Ville-Marie helped create contradicted the project’s mythic image, Place Ville-Marie also embodied new capitalist values and the rise of new capitalist forces in the city.

The South American species of the water beetle genus Hydraena Kugelann, 1794, are revised, based on the study and databasing of 2,418 specimens. New collection records are provided for 14 previously described species, and 54 new species are described. The South American fauna now comprises 82 species, only three of which are also known to be present outside of South America. Two new species groups are described, and several new species complexes are diagnosed. A neotype is designated for Hydraena paraguayensis Janssens. High resolution digital images of the holotypes of new species are presented, asare images of the primary types of 18 previously described species (online versions in color). Geographic distributions of all South American Hydraena are mapped. Male genitalia, representative female terminal abdominal segments and representative spermathecae are illustrated. Construction of villas in the Puncak Cipanas area of Cianjur Regency turned out to cause problems in the practice of prostitution which was increasing, so that the prostitutes did not only come from outside the Cianjur district, even many prostitutes came from abroad. The purpose of this article is to analyze the factors that led to the development of prostitution services in Cianjur Regency. The research method used in this article is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interview techniques conducted on 50 CSWs. With analytical techniques developed by Straruss and Corbin. The conclusion of this article is the factors of poverty, unemployment, education level, consumerism and the construction of villas, hotels and the like are factors that cause the development of prostitution in Cianjur district. The efforts made by the Cianjur Regency Government to eradicate the practice of prostitution are still not effective. Efforts to prevent and eliminate the practice of prostitution cannot only be from a policy, legal and moral approach but also through social, economic, cultural and human rights protection approaches.

Established by the law of 16-24 August 1790, the regional family tribunal of Grenoble used arbitration as the conventional form of dispute resolution. This article examines the role of the legal profession within family arbitration, while comparing the situation in Grenoble and in the surrounding mountains. This contrast illustrates the difficulties involved in the installation and operation of family tribunals in the first years of the Revolution. Nevertheless, the informal nature of family arbitration permitted the resolution of conflicts that would not otherwise have been resolved.

Investment activities are the use of a sum of money in the hope of obtaining benefits and can plan their financing and implementation as a unit of activity within a certain period of time. Expenditure on investment costs is done once and only produces benefits a few years later.

English. The Public Green Space (PGS) in urban zones is a major interest in the sustainable development, both regarding environment and the quality of life of their users. The present study constitutes a first research which is interested in the PGS of the Urban district of Marrakesh (UDM) to have a basis of scientific data on these spaces and to help taking decision and environmental planning of it. It aims at (i) the study of the diversity of the ornamental flora (ii) and the analysis of the structure and the distribution of these PGS. So, the prospecting concerned 50 PGS distributed on 5 districts of the UDM. The results showed a diversity of ornamental flora which contains 297 vascular species, distributed in 212 genera and 88 families. 77 % of species are exotic. This specific richness is dominated by 12 families which contain 142 species distributed in 85 genera. The frequency, the origin and the biological type of these species are much diversified. The study of the structure highlighted 4 types of PGS that differ by their size and their function. The analysis of the floral affinity of the PGS-UDM revealed 13 groups which distinguish by their floral compositions. Consequently, the PGS-UDM contributes deeply to the preservation and the increase of the floral diversity and improvement of the esthetic quality of the city of Marrakesh.Fraçais. En milieu urbain, l’espace vert public (EVP) constitue un enjeu majeur du développement durable, tant en matière d’environnement que de qualité de vie de leurs usagers. La présente étude présente une première recherche sur les EVP de la ville de Marrakech permettant de disposer d’une base de données scientifiques sur ces EVP qui va aider à la prise de décision et de planification environnementale de la ville. Elle vise (i) l’étude de la diversité de la flore ornementale (ii) et l’analyse de la structure et la répartition spatiale de ces EVP. The article reflects the processes of concentration and territorial deployment of troops of the Russian Empire in Belarus during the existence of the Vilna and Warsaw military districts after the end of the uprising of 1863–1864. The analysis of the reasons for the concentration of formations and units of the Russian army in the region, taking into account the current military-political situation in Europe and socio-political processes that took place within the Belarusian provinces themselves, allowed the author to determine the goals and tasks of the troops that were solved by the latter in Belarus from the middle 1860s to the beginning of the World War I. This research is based on a wide range of sources that were first introduced into scientific circulation, identified by the author in the archives and book repositories of Russia and Belarus. The author identifies the causes and preconditions of creation of system of territorial administration of the armed forces of the Russian Empire in Belarus. The process of creating organizational structures of the Vilna military district and the composition of the military contingent stationed in Belarus and the locations of individual parts and units of the Russian army within the borders of Belarusian provinces are discovered. The author identifies the causes of changes in the composition and the scheme of territorial deployment of troops during the period of military districts.On the basis of a comparison of the results obtained in the study of the above aspects of the subject, the author tried to give an overall assessment of the role and place of Belarusian lands in the system of ensuring military-strategic interests of the Russian Empire, as well as the role of the army in political life of Belarus in the second half of the 1860s until the outbreak of the World War I.

This study is done with the purposes of identifying the extrinsic factors that affect the purchasing decision of the real estate customers of villas and apartments. This study uses survey questionnaires to obtain information from real estate consumers. The study was conducted in Thrissur district. The study found that the most influencing one in extrinsic factors which affect the purchase decision of real estate consumers is the availability of the facility of waste disposal. The study also discuss the opinion of real estate consumers about the changes needed in the structure of flats and villas in the light of natural calamities occurred in Kerala.

The construction industry in China has undergone continuous development over the past decades. In relation to this, the quality of the outdoor environment in China has received increased research attention. This paper takes the Tahiti Villas located in Kunming District as a case study, using post-occupancy evaluation to identify and evaluate the main factors affecting the activities of the residents. The results indicate that humanistic design is mainly reflected in the concern for the user exhibited by the design. Thus, giving users primary importance can satisfy the design goals of rational expression.

Background: Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is a principal cause of fetal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. The placenta, as a vector for maternal-fetal nutrient and oxygen exchange has major influence on birthweight. The objectives of this study were to compare the placental weight (grams), number of syncytial knots and number of blood vessels in villi of IUGR placentas versus normal placentas. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out at Rai Medical College, Sargodha, Pakistan in collaboration with Zainab Memorial Hospital, Rawalpindi, Pakistan from December 2016 to November 2018. Study group included 45 IUGR placentas and control group included 25 normal placentas. Placental weight in grams, number of syncytial knots and number of blood vessels in villi of placentas were three research variables. These were described by mean, minimum, maximum, range and standard deviation for each group separately and were compared between the two groups through independent-samples t-test. Results: Descriptively the mean placental weight in grams in IUGR group (423.35±64.13g) was lower than control group placentas (535.92±44.57g). The number of syncytial knots in IUGR group placentas (22.04±5.21) was more than control group placentas (13.84±4.41).
