Diploma thesis deals with the problem of the river landscape in urban development. The selected area is Bratislava, specifically Petržalka and its system of the river. The work consists of a theoretical part, based on learned from literature and by other available sources in a particular field. The theoretical part also observates the existing realizations. Analytical part is mainly based on its own analysis and researches in the field. In this part are specified the problems and values of the area. The solution is the draft, in the form of landscape studies.

Scattered vegetation is an essential part of the landscape in the Czech Republic. It is typical mainly for farm land which has experienced deep changes during the last century, which were probably the deepest changes in the last millennium. The thesis focuses on valuation of the scattered vegetation from the fifties till present.
