Esta pesquisa discute a obra de José Leonilson (1957-1993), buscando examinar a troca constante que ela empreendeu com o universo da cultura de massa. Argumenta que o trabalho funda-se centralmente na reordenação meticulosa dos clichês colhidos a essa cultura, e que em tal processo de reordenação ele se empenha em restituir um lugar privilegiado para o \"sentimento\" e a expressão. Por um lado, a pesquisa permite constatar que a obra de Leonilson reivindicou a expressão de uma experiência subjetiva; por outro, que ela assumiu o risco de se converter em uma mera banalidade, almejando romper com o isolamento de uma esfera privada ao se lançar no comércio com os signos culturais.This text discusses the work of José Leonilson (1957-1993), examining its constant interchanges with the universe of mass culture. The main argument is that the work is largely founded on the meticulous rearrangement of the clichés it gathers from that culture, and that, in the process, it tries to restitute a privileged position to sensibility and expression. The research attests, on the one hand, that Leonilsons work has claimed the expression of a subjective experience; but it has, on the other hand, took in the risk of becoming a mere banality, while aiming to break the isolation of a private sphere by venturing in the commerce with cultural signs.

Aims There are four very broad aims to the thesis. To assess whether new dimensions of democracy are emerging The first aim is to ascertain whether and in what senses new dimensions of democracy are emerging in Estonia. To explore whether there is a democratic shortfall The second aims is to consider the expectations of democracy both of the non-elite and elite groups, and to compare these with democratic reality. To assess the development of a 'new' democracy The third aim is to assess the development of a 'new' democracy. Estonia is a restored democracy. To challenge the ideas concerning previous democratic experience The fourth aim is to ascertain whether the 'restorationist principle' (Smith 1995) has been an assistance or a hindrance to democratic stability. Methods I attempt to create a comprehensive model from which to carry out a democratic 'audit' of Estonia. Established democratic experiences and Estonian democratic experience will be used in determining benchmarks Le. prerequisites and indicators for an analytical model from which to consider the re-established democracy in Estonia. This analytical model will help to identify certain characteristics of representative or pluralist democracy and its support systems, for instance historical background and political culture. Indicators are used, such as the level of trust or distrust of politicians. Indicators are open to many different interpretations, for example, why people do not vote in elections. These benchmarks and indicators facilitate a systematic comparative analysis and will help to establish more precisely the character and potential stability of the democracy that is emerging in Estonia. Questionnaires and interviews are used Literature review A variety of literature has been used for this research, the main ones are concerned with theory, in the form of up-to-date hooks and articles, post communist study, in the form of hooks, journals and websites and Estonia, in the form of journals, surveys and in particular, websites. Contribution to knowledge This study identifies gaps in knowledge and thus attempts to fill them. Estonia is a largely neglected country in the field of post communist study and this thesis aims to bridge some of these gaps. Generally, this thesis will contribute to the understanding of democracy, in particular stable democracy. It will challenge current understanding of stable democracy. It will examine whether a restored democracy is any more stable than a 'new' democracy - in particular whether a prior recent experience of democracy is an assistance or hindrance to democratic stability. It will contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the experience of post- Soviet Russians living outside Russia, including the perspectives of the Soviet Russian immigrant community in Estonia. By employing Ute concept of political stability it will be possible to assess whether Estonia was more stable as an authoritarian regime. From a more general perspective it may be possible to hypothesise about post communist democratic development. It could point to further lines of enquiry.

Le point de départ, une étude linguistique : l'énonciation ne fait que confirmer la subjectivité des commentateurs malgré leur souci d'objectivité : Sartre n'étant pas un cas particulier. Sartre est ensuite situé dans l'actualité culturelle présentée par les médias puis dans les milieux scolaires grâce à un certain nombre d'enquêtes et enfin dans l'opinion française et internationale. La personnalité de Sartre reste multiple ; elle varie moins selon les medias et selon les tendances politiques que selon les domaines ou s'exerce son influence. Sartre in then present in the cultural world presented by the school world thanks to a great deal of surveys and finally anang the French and international opinion. Le but de notre these consiste a repondre a deux questions: la premiere, pourquoi y a t=il eu un "phenomene sartre" en chine dans le debut des annees 80 ?; et la seconde, comment sartre a-t-il ete recu en chine, notamment dans le domaine litteraire, par les chercheurs chinois tout au long des annees 80 ? elle comporte donc deux parties: la premiere tente d'eclairer l'arriere-plan historique de la societe chinoise au moment ou sartre a ete decouvert et a provoque immediatement un grand retentissement. Nous estimons que l'enthousiasme qu'eprouverent certains intellectuels et certains etudiants a l'egard de sartre et de l'existentialisme manifeste en effet une crise ideologique a la suite de la grande perturbation sociale provoquee par le revolution culturelle. L'oeuvre de sartre, de ce point de vue, a repondu a un besoin urgent de l'epoque, celui de l'humanisme et a contribue a l'evolution des mentalites. Les deuxieme partie est consacree a l'etude de la facon dont les chercheurs chinois percoivent l'oeuvre et la creation litteraire de sartre. Un probleme majeur a ete releve dans les etudes sartriennes: la predominance ideologique qui fait que le critere politique est omnipresent dans les etudes litteraires, ce qui rend souvent difficiles le debat et les discussions entre chercheurs et aboutit a simplifier abusivement l'interpretation de ses oeuvresThe aim of our thesis consists of the response to two questions: the first, why did there exist a "sartre phenomenon" in china in the early days of the 80s ?; and the second, how was sartre received in china, particularly in respect of literature, by chinese researchers throughout the 80s thus it is composed of two parts: the first attempts to clarify the historical background of chinese society when sartre was discovered and which gave rise immediately to great repercussions. We estimate that the enthusiasm for sartre and the existentialism of certain intellectuals and certain students strikes an ideological crisis after a heavy social perturbation provoked by the cultural revolution. From this point of view, sartre's works were geared to the urgent needs of that times which was humanism and contribud to the evolution of the mentality. The second party was used to study the comprehension of these chinese researchers to sartre's works and his literary creation. A major problem has been revealed in the study of sartre: the ideological superiority shows that the political standard is entangled in the literary study which usually makes debate and discussion between the researchers difficult. This then leads to excessive simplicity of the interpretation of his works

Albania was noteworthy, not just for the isolationist policy of its government, or its domestic rigid policies applied to Europe's poorest country, but because of its high life expectancy at birth. At the end of the eighties, life expectancy at birth passed the boundary of seventy, although the country's GDP per capita was $2500 in 1990, the lowest in Europe (Madison 1995).This puzzled scholars, who either doubted the success of Albania, or because of the lack of firm information, speculated with different explanations (Watson, 1995). This research was initiated by this controversy in trying to first, estimate the scale of Albania's success in improving life expectancy and document the mortality transition in Albania during the period 1950-1990. It also looks at the social, economic and political factors behind the success of improving life expectancy at birth from 51 to 71 years in a relatively short period of 40 years. The research attempts to explain why the Albanian pattern of mortality, with very high infant and child mortality and very low adult mortality, is so different from that of other East European countries, which had the same social and economic backgrounds. The analysis concludes that the life style factors are the most likely factors in explaining the controversial mortality pattern of Albania. The research uses a new set of complete data, obtained from formerly-closed Albanian State Archives, which were made available only after 1994. It is the first time that the cause specific data are used to analyse the mortality transition in Albania. The research starts with a description of country's cultural and historical background. It continues with the political, social and economic transition during the communist rule 1945-1990, which are of particular importance in understanding the demographic regime in general, and the mortality transition in particular (Caldwell, 1986). The research continues with a detailed analysis of the availability and quality of mortality data. The analysis of mortality trends and patterns during this period confirms the success of Albania in achieving high life expectancy at birth by the end of eighties. It also shows that this was achieved by very low adult mortality, and relatively high infant and child mortality. The later analysis shows that this finding is related to the cause specific pattern of mortality, as well as regional differences within the country. The research ends with an international comparison of mortality trends and patterns in Albania, in the context of whether the Albanian success was part of the experience of countries that had "a good health at low cost" (Caldwell, 1986), or if the Albanian way is another route to low mortality.

This thesis aims to understand the ways in which the historical film has vexed its many critics, and in doing so will look beyond its perceived inadequacies to provide a new appreciation of its character, appeal, f unction and development. I have attempted to achieve these goals through a substantial generic study of the British historical film, utilizing notions of myth and ideas derived from reception studies. In terms of overall approach, this project is an example of what David Bordwell has called 'middle-level research', applying theory to a problem-driven, in-depth, empirical investigation. In following the precepts of middle-level research, it is an additional aim of my thesis to contribute to theoretical and methodological debates surrounding the writing of film history and the study of film genre. In chapter one, I review the literature which addresses questions of historical film and film history, and in chapter two I discuss the various ways in which a generic consideration can be conducted, with particular reference to the work of Rick Altman and the idea of genre as mythic-ritual. Beginning in 1930, after which date a coherent genre begins to emerge, I apply the approach expounded in chapters one and two to a wide range of primary sources for British cinema, including Kine Weekly, Sight and Sound, the memoir, the pressbook, and a number of audience surveys. Ile result, in chapters three and four, is an original overview of the British historical film genre in the period until 1980. Chapter five then situates the British historical film in relation to the genres (both British and American) which lie adjacent to it, and chapter six examines the genre and its history in the 1980s, through detailed case-studies of Lady Jane, Chariots of Fire and Henry V. Finally, my conclusions are worked out by setting the genre as I have defined it in the context of two pertinent concepts - British national cinema and British national identity - and the discourses associated with them, in order to elicit key themes and issues. The main thrust of my argument is that recent work on 'the costume film', by Pam Cook, Sue Harper and others, has tended to distort the nature of the British historical film, ignoring generic distinctions made by those who produced and consumed the films in question. I hope that my analysis, and my archival research in particular, will lay a foundation for a clearer and fuller future understanding of films which represent the past.

Efter stora påtryckningar från skandinaviskt håll genomfördes i början av 1970-talet ett sameuropeiskt mätprojekt för att klargöra huruvida svavelutsläpp i exempelvis Storbritannien påverkade försurningen av sjöar i Skandinavien. Elva västeuropeiska länder deltog i projektet – kallat LRTAP – vars mätningar pågick under åren 1972–1975. Dessa mätningar bekräftade de teorier som drivit fram projektet – att luftföroreningar (i detta fall svavelföreningar) kan transporteras långa vägar i atmosfären för att sedan deponeras i ett område långtifrån källan. Därigenom kom de fram till att ett land inte kan påverka depositionen inom landet till 100% genom egna restriktioner. Ett följdprojekt startades därför för att förse de olika ländernas regeringar med information om svavelutsläpp och svaveldeposition i de olika länderna. Ett mål uppsattes angående utsläppen – att 1993 inte släppa ut mer än 70% av 1980-års nivå – vilket tycks vara uppnåeligt. I Sverige har svavelutsläppen minskat från drygt 400 kton S/år i början av 1970-talet till 102 kton 1990, en reducering på ca 75%. Depositionen har dock inte minskat lika mycket, eftersom mängden svavel från Mellaneuropa fortfarande är stor. I Sverige är därför svaveldepositionen starkast koncentrerad i de sydvästra delarna och avtar sedan mot nordväst.Examensarbete F1 på 7 p (10,5 hp)

This thesis identifies the housing affordability in Muncie metropolitan areas through the interaction of the major housing market components, of supply and demand for housing units. The purpose of this work has been the investigation of the historical housing performance that Muncie has experienced from 1970 through 1990, in order to determine whether housing affordability problem exists in Muncie and how it has been developed over the study period. Two major approaches are used, cross-sectional and cohort analysis, to examine the relationships among several variables. The main variables are population, households , and housing characteristics which represent the demand and supply of housing stock.The findings from this study have determined that the housing affordability problem in Muncie has escalated more than the other areas within Delaware County since 1970. The major causes of accelerating affordability problem were the real decline of family incomes and the increase of the numbers of low-income populaion, families and households. The lack of employment opportunities, and low payroll were underlying the decline of real income. The decline in number of mortgages was also one of the causes of the afforadability problem over the course of the study period.Department of Urban Planning

El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo estudiar estadísticamente las diversas clases de neoplasias que afectan a los caninos de nuestro medio, considerando su origen blastodermico, sexo, raza, edad, localización y grado de malignidad, basados en los diagnósticos histopatológicos por ser el examen de elección mas preciso para su identificación. Para tal fin se analizaron los protocolos de necropsia realizados en caninos que presentaron neoplasias durante el periodo 1990-1994 en el laboratorio de Histopatologia de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Posteriormente, se compararon con estudios anteriores tanto en nuestro medio como en el extranjero.Se encontró que las hembras fueron las mas afectadas (44/76) y los animales entre los 5-12 años presentaron mayor frecuencia (17.1%).En cuanto al origen tisular, las epiteliales estuvieron en primer lugar, siendo los adenocarcinomas mamarios los mas frecuentes (23.6%); seguidos de los hematopoyeticos con el Linfoma maligno como la principal neoplasia (10.5%); luego los conectivos con los fibrosarcomas (5.2%), mientras que los misceláneos representados por el Tumor Venéreo Transmisible (3.9%) ocuparon un cuarto lugar y por ultimo los endoteliales con los hemangiosarcomas como los de mayor frecuencia (3.9%).The objective of the present work were to statistically study the different types of neoplasms that affect canines of our environment and to consider their blastodermic origin, sex, age, localization and malignancy degree, based on the histopathologic diagnoses, the most accurate exam available for their identification. During 1990-1994 the necropsy protocols were reviewed for canine neoplasms in the Histopathologic laboratory of the School of Veterinary Medicine of San Marcos University. Later, our results were compared with previous studies made in foreign countries. Most of the affected animals (44/76) were female. Animals ranging from 5 to 12 years old also showed a high frequency (17.1%). Most common were the neoplasm of epithelial origin, wherein mammary adenocarcinomas were most frequent (23.6%). Hematopoyetic neoplasms and especially the malignant lymphoma were second most important tumors (10.5%). Among the connective tissue tumors, the fibrosarcoma was most common (5.2%). These were followed by the miscellaneous neoplasms, wherein the Transmissible Venereal Tumor (3.9%) showed the highest frequency. Finally, tumors of endothelial origin had the hemangiosarcoma as the most important neoplasms (3.9%).

Este trabalho buscou mapear as virtudes epistêmicas e as personae acadêmicas mobilizadas por historiadores brasileiros entre 1980 e 1990 a fim de melhor compreender os dispositivos de subjetivação a que estavam sujeitos tais indivíduos ao aprenderem a “serem historiadores”. Mobilizou-se para tanto um corpus documental composto por resenhas, ensaios bibliográficos, obituários e homenagens publicados em periódicos acadêmicos da área de História no período delimitado. Considera-se demonstrada a capacidade dos conceitos de virtudes epistêmicas e de persona acadêmica nos auxiliarem efetivamente a entender os critérios de classificação mobilizados para definir o que significa “ser historiador” no Brasil entre 1980 e 1990, contexto bastante diverso da historiografia europeia do século XIX, sobre o qual os conceitos já foram trabalhados anteriormente. Verificou-se que, em torno da estrutura comum do “historiador arquivista”, subjacente a toda estrutura da historiografia acadêmica brasileira do período, havia diversos modelos de conduta (personae) em relação aos quais os historiadores brasileiros se posicionavam para serem reconhecidos enquanto tal.
This dissertation aims at mapping the use of epistemic virtues and scholarly personae as means of defining what it means to be a historian in Brazil, from 1980 to 1990. The main sources of this work are book reviews, review essays, obituaries and homage pieces published in Brazilian academic journals in the selected period. It has been shown that the concepts of epistemic virtue and scholarly persona are capable of being used in a context far removed from its previous usages. Regarding Brazilian historiography, this dissertation shows that from the foundations of the "archival historian" one could find many diverse models of scholarly selfhood (personae) in relation to which Brazilian historians positioned themselves to be recognized as proper historians.

The study seeks to document the development of the alternative press in Namibia from 1960 to 1990. It traces the reasons for its emergence and outlines the stated aims and objectives in order to illustrate its attempts to nurture a culture - of colonial resistance. It is argued that structural factors such as funding, distribution, advertisements and ownership enabled the alternative press to operate outside the South African apartheid hegemony. The study explains how the intellectuals used the alternative press in their attempts to mobilise and organise colonised Namibians for social change. They did this by formulating and disseminating ideologically constructed discourses (messages) which challenged the colonial discourse. These messages were produced and directed towards a specific audience, the masses to whom the intellectuals were organically linked. Their primary news definers were also drawn from the ranks of these masses. It is further argued that the alternative press came to represent the colonised masses by voicing their needs and aspirations which were marginalised by the mainstream colonial media. Finally, a relatively detailed analysis of the content, the language used and the'messages carried by the alternative press has been made to demonstrate its political agenda, which was to empower the masses to achieve their objective - the attainment of political independence. These issues are analyzed against a background of theoretical frameworks which seek to explain how subordinated groups and classes in a state of domination sought to establish alternative channels of communication in the creation of a counter hegemonic order.

Le plan en deux parties éclaire le processus d'enchainement chronologique d'une mutation de l'art qui, avec l'apport des sciences humaines et la méfiance généralisée vis à vis de l'idéalisme, est passé de la conception essentialiste du modernisme (1ère partie) à celle de la post avant-garde (2eme partie), moins préoccupée de la nature de l'art que de sa fonction. La mythologie choisie consiste à soumettre l'interprétation "profonde" à la caution donnée par la description analytique, non exhaustive mais significative, des oeuvres prises dans leur émergence chronologique. The work, in two parts, explains the sequence of events leading to the drastic upheaval of art at this time. It explains how the contributions of science and a general distrust of idealism transfer us from the essentialist concept of modernism (part i) to that of post-avant-garde (part ii) which is less preoccupied with the nature of art than with its function. Because american painting has played a major role in this evolution, the study tends to evaluate the influence of the singularity of american thought during this process. The method chosen for this evaluation consists of collating the analytic description of the works with the "deep" interpretation. This method is by no means exhaustive but is nevertheless significant. The analysis of the various movements and tendancies in this period is removed from the artists themselves so as to preserve a balance between the theoretical substrata of the works and that of their expressive value. This study would like to submit this epoch in american art, where the need for harmony has given way to a more complex yet potentially creative scientific approach, as the reflexion of the dualism of human nature; that of spirituality and materialism

This dissertation examines photography in Japan via the new generation of young female photographers who emerged during the social, economic and political shifts of the post-bubble era (1990–1999). This new generation of photographers initiated a paradigmatic shift in photographic discourses within Japanese culture by becoming the subject of their own photographs, performing to the camera and deconstructing gender identities. The thesis holds a particular focus on the institutional setting where the work of female photographers first emerged and shows that most of the photographers discussed benefited from a system of corporate patronage. In turn, the emergence of female photographers is intimately linked with corporate interests such as the camera manufacturers. The legacy of this system of corporate patronage still greatly effects photographic discourse in Japan today. By focusing on the representation of the body, the thesis demonstrates that photographers interrogated public perceptions of obscenity defined in a specific cultural and historical context. While the sale and distribution of obscene images is prohibited by law, photographers tested the boundaries of permissible and non-permissible forms of representation. The thesis establishes that public perceptions of obscenity dramatically transformed throughout the 1990s, and that female photographers not only emerged on the back of this transformation, but also the fact that they were an integral part of it. The thesis demonstrates that both, the new generation of photographers and their photographs experienced a sharp rise in popularity in the Japanese media. Magazines and newspapers specifically called for and disseminated so-called ‘private photographs’ associated with the practice of female photographers. The increased media attention had the effect that some photographers themselves, in addition to their photographs, became valuable cultural signifiers in an image economy. The thesis describes a split in perception occurring between the ‘real’ female photographer, and the female photographer as a ‘sign’ characteristic for the social conditions this sign is produced and consumed in. In this context, the thesis defines the prominent notion kawaii, or cute, with reference to the practice of female photographers and how its ambiguous and paradoxical meanings constitute a floating signifier. Rather than concentrating on a photographic representation of cute, the thesis explores the potential of cuteness also bearing clues to opposition against a dominant social order. The thesis argues that both the accounts of the rise of the female photographers and an analysis of their photographs have to be inextricably linked to the social, economic and political conditions in which their photographs emerged.

S'inspirant de la tendance camp mais aussi de la volonté de défendre le genre fantastique au niveau français – avec la revue MMF dans les années soixante – ce goût pour un cinéma marginal et décalé semble aujourd'hui récupéré par des réalisateurs aussi divers que Tarantino, Burton, et font l'objet de séances spécialisées où l'accent est tout autant mis sur les films que l'ambiance dans la salle. Aimer les nanars revient-il à être un passionné de cinéma ? En partant de l'étude de leur distribution et leur réception critique au moment de leur première exploitation en salles, nous en viendrons à analyser les changements de mythologies cinéphiles que ces nanars ont généré, directement ou non.

Based on data from the 1990 Indonesian Census and the 1991 Demographic and Health Survey, analyses of fertility, fertility decline, and the use of contraceptive methods in Indonesia are presented. Two levels of analysis are carried out in this thesis: a macro-approach and a micro-approach. The analysis using the macro approach reveals that the family planning program, the status of women's jobs, and infant mortality rates are important determinants of fertility in Indonesia. In addition, the micro analysis shows that there are differences in the average number of children ever-born to couples according to the type of present and childhood residence, educational attainment, religion and occupational status.Controlling for regional population density reversed the direction of the impact of agriculture sector employment on fertility. Overall in Indonesia, individual couples who worked in agriculture sector had higher fertility than those who worked in the non agriculture sector. However, in the densely populated areas of the country such as Java and Bali, those who worked in the agriculture sector had lower fertility than those who worked in the non agriculture sector.
The results of this dissertation support the claim that fertility and fertility decline are very complex phenomena. There is no definitive set of variables that strongly and consistently affect them. The most important finding from these analyses is that the fertility rate is influenced both by individual couple's characteristics as well as the place where they live. Further research on fertility and fertility decline should emphasize both of these characteristics.

Claims for the 'Englishness' or 'Britishness' of art are often attended by a confident appeal to the 'obvious' innateness of certain characteristics - such as individualism, an amateur impulse, or a tendency for figurative work. In some cases claims are made that these, and other 'national' traits, are an embodiment of 'civilized values'. One of the objects of the present study will be to identify and examine some of these key characteristics. This will involve an enquiry into the relationship of art to other areas of social life at different historical conjunctures. Three periods have been chosen for particular consideration: 1930-1939; the mid-40s to mid-50s; and the 1980s. In each of the three periods attention will be focussed on a range or art practices, theories, and sites of production and distribution. This will involve, in some places 'case studies' of books, journals and exhibitions which seem to bring some of the issues into sharp focus. Key subjects will include not only the issue of what is 'British' but what is 'un- British'. 'Figuration', 'the landscape', 'abstraction', and 'internationalism' emerge as some of the principal concepts fought over by those who attempt to assert or contest what is essentially 'British'. A further object of enquiry will be the claims made by some 'critical' modern artists and critics that invocations of 'Britishness' reveal a tendency in this country towards parochialism. The thesis will conclude by observing an interesting development in Britain during the eighties. While some have pronounced modernism dead, others have continued to believe that some of the fundamental ideals and values of modernism remain substantial. Modernism, the latter would claim, continues for the foreseeable future to provide the necessary resources to maintain a critical practice which can resist the more parochial tendencies of 'British' art.

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the population growth pattern of the Japanese urban settlements and the factors behind the changes between 1970 and 1990. From previous studies of the Japanese settlements, it was observed that Japan achieved a high degree of urbanisation, and that a pattern of internal migration saw the population shift into the three Japanese metropolitan areas from outside. However, these observations were based on administrative boundaries, which was not suitable for examining actual changes to the Japanese settlement system. Therefore, a new definition of functional urban regions called 'Japanese Functional Urban Area' (JFUA) was established. Various analyses based on the new JFUA definition, such as population change, city size distribution and urban development stages, showed that the Japanese settlement system witnessed the concentration of population into larger settlements in the 1970s and the 1980s. The largest settlements such as Tokyo and Osaka recorded growth in the 1970s and 1980s. In addition, the Tokyo area showed a 'unipolar concentration' pattern of population growth. This pattern was different from the US and UK settiements, with both their settlement systems showing a decline of the largest settlements in the 1970s and the recovery in the 1980s. Although the Japanese settlement system represented a different growth pattern from the US and UK, the factors contributing to urban change in Japan turned out to be similar those. The role of the service sector was highly important to growth. whilst the declining industries such as steel and shipbuilding were no longer important in promoting regional development and influenced urban decline. This thesis also examined the government's policies for regional development, but an examination of population change in the policy targeted areas found that it is difficult to find any evidence of policy effectiveness.

Le groupe d'ecrivains a l'etude ne constitue pas a proprement parler une generation litteraire homogene. Il s'agit de romancieres qui ne se plient pas aux lois du roman feminin traditionnel et en meme temps dont le feminisme est eloigne de sa version extremiste. Cristina peri rossi, griselda gambaro, elena poniatowska, ana vasquez, vilma fuentes et zoe valdes s'attachent a explorer la realite la plus proche, afin d'integrer tous les niveaux de representation, en montrant que la femme est autre chose qu'un individu se definissant par rapport un autre. L'identite demeure au centre des preoccupations des romancieres qui declinent ce sujet dans le contexte familial, social et politique qui est le leur. Notre objectif est de constituer un ensemble representatif, en relancant continuellement les possibilites de signification de l'oeuvre : quelle est sa nouveaute ? et cette nouveaute est-elle decisive ? a la lumiere de ces textes, que signifie donc etre une femme ecrivain dans l'amerique latine de la seconde moitie du vingtieme siecle ? et en quoi cela constitue-t-il une particularite dans le contexte latino-americain ? c'est grace a un nouveau personnel romanesque et a de nouvelles situations qu'apparaissent une nouvelle thematique et de nouveaux modeles. After centuries of macho oppression in the new world, this twentieth century has been the witness of the emergence of feminine literature. The team of writers in study does not really constitute a generation of homogeneous literates. They are novelists who does not fold to the laws of traditional feminist novels and at the same time their feminism is far away from the extremist version. Cristina peri rossi, griselda gambaro, elena poniatowska, ana vasquez, vilma fuentes et zoe valdes do up to explore the nearest reality, to integrate all the levels of representation, showing that women are something_else than characters defined in relation with each other. The identity stays as the main worry of women novelists and they decline this subject in a familiar, social and political context of their belonging. Our objective is to constitute a representative unity, reviving continuously the possible signification of the work : which is its novelty ? and is this novelty conclusive ? in the light of those texts, what does to be a woman writer in south america, in the second half of the twentieth century mean ? and why does it constitute a particularity in a south american context ? thanks to a new novelist staff and to new situations that new thematic and new models appear. The target of a new literature is to create a new consciousness in their favor. Avec pour guide, une hypothese : de la saisine a la decision, la cour constitutionnelle hongroise effectue, a l'occasion de chaque affaire, un veritable travail de construction ; d'abord pour former la problematique juridique et etablir la norme qui lui est appropriee, et ensuite pour concretiserla norme juridique menant a la resolution du cas d'espece.

Changes in income and representation in managerial occupations is explored separately for women and men among the United States' eight largest race/ethnic minority groups for each decennial census of 1960, 1970, 1980 and 1990 to determine how much change has occurred between 1960 and 1990 in race and ethnic inequality, and in gender inequality within each race/ethnic group. Insights from gender theory are applied to minority group inequality and insights from minority group theory are applied to gender inequality with some degree of success. Economic change is uneven among the groups, with the largest specific change being the movement of women into managerial jobs. A clear pattern also emerged indicating that the higher the average representation of a minority group in managerial jobs, the greater the gap between women and men. The income of all persons with income, however, did not exhibit such a clear pattern across the different groups.
