ABSTRACT Ectomycorrhizal fungi have been introduced in forest nurseries to improve seedling growth. Outplanting of inoculated seedlings to forest plantations raises the questions about inoculant persistence and its effects on indigenous fungal populations. We previously showed (M.-A. Selosse et al. Mol. Ecol. 7:561–573, 1998) that the American strainLaccaria bicolor S238N persisted 10 years after outplanting in a French Douglas fir plantation, without introgression or selfing and without fruiting on uninoculated adjacent plots. In the present study, the relevance of those results to sympatric strains was assessed for another part of the plantation, planted in 1985 with seedlings inoculated with the French strain L. bicolor 81306 or left uninoculated. About 720 Laccaria sp. sporophores, collected from 1994 to 1997, were typed by using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA markers and PCR amplification of the mitochondrial and nuclear ribosomal DNAs. All plots were colonized by small spontaneous discrete genotypes (genets). The inoculant strain 81306 abundantly fruited beneath inoculated trees, with possible introgression in indigenousLaccaria populations but without selfing. In contrast to our previous survey of L. bicolor S238N, L. bicolor 81306 colonized a plot of uninoculated trees. Meiotic segregation analysis verified that the invading genet was strain 81306 (P < 0.00058), implying a vegetative growth of 1.1 m · year−1. This plot was also invaded in 1998 by strain S238N used to inoculate other trees of the plantation. Five other uninoculated plots were free of these inoculant strains. The fate of inoculant strains thus depends less on their geographic origin than on unknown local factors.

Abstract (sommario):

Previously, it was shown that B. subtilis B-8130 produce bactericides and biologically active substances while fermenting different phyto-substrates. The bacilli release somatostatin-like peptide during solid-state fermentation of beet pulp sugar, sea-buckthorn leaves and flax seeds. The growth of bacterial culture is accompanied by the formation of biofilm that encapsulates phyto-carriers. The combination of all above factors determines high biological activity of probiotics and their effects on digestion in animals. We tested the addition of 0.1% B. subtilis B-8130 fermented substrate to the pig ration. The experiments showed higher weight gain, lowered daily feed expenses and improved survival. We found substantial changes in morphology of the small intestine epithelial cells associated with intensive absorption of feed nutrients in pigs that were fed with fermented sea-buckthorn leaves. This suggests influence of probiotics on digestion mediated by hormonal system.

Estimou-se a degradabilidade in situ de 10 forrageiras tropicais em três idades ao corte (21, 42 e 63 dias) e em três tempos de incubação (6, 24 e 96h). As forrageiras utilizadas foram: Andropogon gayanus cv. Planaltina, Brachiaria brizantha (acessos 3401, 3413 e 3451 CPAC), Cenchrus ciliaris (acessos 79119, 79146, 79148, 80199 e 81302 CPATSA) e Panicum maximum (3616 CPAC). Os acessos de B. brizantha, P. maximum e A. gayanus apresentaram os maiores valores de degradabilidade da matéria seca e os de C. ciliaris os valores mais baixos. Todas as forrageiras apresentaram queda no desaparecimento da matéria seca com o avanço da idade. Os acessos de Brachiaria brizantha 3413 e 3451 apresentaram as maiores degradabilidades efetivas.

A unique 3D fourfold interpenetrated metal-organic framework, [Co(L)(H2O)2]・H2O (1), has been synthesized by the solvothermal reaction of H2L with Co(NO3)2・6H2O (H2L = 5-(isonicotinamido) isophthalic acid). Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with the cell parameters: a = 81301(8), b = 107711(11), c = 167697(16) Å , β = 92.656(2) °, V = 14669(3) Å3, R1 = 0.0325 and wR2 = 0.0833. Its framework has (10,3)-b topology, where the cobalt atoms are alternately bridged by the pyridyl and the carboxylate groups of the L2− ligands into a three-dimensional network. Compound 1 displays antiferromagnetic interactions. Above 40 K, χm −1 obeys the Curie- Weiss law with C = 3.28 emu Kmol−1 andΘ = −0.66 K.

In this paper ,the properties of akund fiber, growing at the altitudes of 813m, 1080m and 1153m from August to October were studied, respectively.The influences of altitude, month, fruit size and different parts of the fruit on the properties of akund fiber were also analyzed. It was found that the altitude and fruit size had a significant correlation coefficient with the property of akund fiber, while the influence of month on the property of akund fiber was not obvious. The properties of the fiber in different parts of the fruit were also different.The results will be beneficial to planting, harvesting, processing and exploiting this fiber.

Gas extraction is an important way to control gas disasters. The effect of traditional gas extraction drilling on ultrathick coal seam is not well. In order to improve the rate of gas extraction, directional long drilling is used to replace conventional drilling for coal seam gas extraction. Through the combination of numerical simulation and field experimentation, the stress distribution around borehole is analyzed, and the influence of different time, different gas pressure, different negative pressure of extraction, and different permeability of coal body on directional borehole is simulated. According to the experimentation of Baode Mine, the data of gas drainage volume of conventional directional drilling are recorded and analyzed. The results indicate that the directional drilling is more suitable for Baode Mine 81306 working face of coal seam 8 gas extraction operation. Directional drilling is better than conventional drilling in work, with good drainage stability and large gas drainage volume, which can greatly reduce the outburst time and improve the gas drainage rate.

In the Saint-Brisson experiment conducted in central France, the American strain of the ectomycorrhizal fungus Laccaria bicolor (Maire) P.D. Orton S238N and the French strain L. bicolor 81306 inoculated on containerized Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco) seedlings increased by 60% the total volume of wood produced 8 years after outplanting as compared with uninoculated but naturally mycorrhizal trees. The two strains introduced 10 years before in the inoculated plots are still present and dominant; they did not prevent the colonization of Douglas-fir roots by naturally occurring ectomycorrhizal fungi but allowed for the establishment of a very diversified symbiotic microflora. Eight to 12 years after outplanting, all the Douglas-fir plots were colonized by Laccaria laccata (Scop.:Fr.) Cooke or L. bicolor strains, as well as some other species, independently of the nursery treatments. With one exception in one plot, the presence of indigenous genets in the control treatments may have prevented the vegetative colonization of the inside of the noninoculated plots by the two introduced strains.

Industrial activities that took place in the old industrial zone of Athens-Piraeus widespread pollution in natural systems. This specific environmental site assessment presents subsoil and groundwater pollution data by petroleum hydrocarbons in a property occupied by a small scale refinery the last 50 years. Additionally the vertical distribution and horizontal variability of pollution is analysed as a result of several point sources existence such as underground storage tanL·. Environmental survey site works conducted by boreholes performance and installation of stand-pipe type piezometers for groundwater monitoring. Totally 32 soil core samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons and additionally 4 soil core sub-samples where volatile organic compounds maximum values were recorded, analyzed for aromatic hydrocarbons. Petroleum hydrocarbons values in subsoil and groundwater range from 310 to 8130 mgKg1 and 0.6 to 2550 mg/l respectively. This paper provides hydrocarbons pollution data of the site and demonstrates the need for an environmental site assessment study before any investment and development action takes place in brownfield's areas

For the wide application in the field of filtration and bio-medicine, the purpose of this study is to design a spinneret module of electro-spun which can produce composite nonwoven with sub-micrometer fiber continually. Applying the principle of melt-blown, a spinneret module with line-type and multi-holes which was assembled with small beads and filtering net, was designed. In order to construct a continual electro-spun production line, a traversal device was designed to control the traverse-motion of spinneret module for the even lapping and a stainless plate was adopted as collecting plate. In condition of 41KV working voltage, 0.3573 mL/min throughput and 42cm CSD (Capillary-Screen-Distance), a continual PEO nonwoven can be produced with average fiber diameter of 576nm and of CV% 13.4%. To a sampling area of 10cm×10cm and basis weight of 7.257 g/m2 electro-spun nonwoven, the CV% of gray level of its image is 2% and its filtration efficiency is up to 91.2% with pressure drop 13.8mm-H20 by TSI 8130 (32LPM, 5% NaCl).

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have demonstrated effectiveness in many domains including object recognition, speech recognition, natural language processing, and health care. Typically, the computations involved in DNN training and inferencing are time consuming and require efficient implementations. Existing frameworks such as TensorFlow, Theano, Torch, Cognitive Tool Kit (CNTK), and Caffe enable Graphics Processing Unit (GPUs) as the status quo devices for DNN execution, leaving Central Processing Unit (CPUs) behind. Moreover, existing frameworks forgo or limit cross layer optimization opportunities that have the potential to improve performance by significantly reducing data movement through the memory hierarchy. In this article, we describe an alternative approach called SWIRL, a compiler that provides high-performance CPU implementations for DNNs. SWIRL is built on top of the existing domain-specific language (DSL) for DNNs called LATTE. SWIRL separates DNN specification and its schedule using predefined transformation recipes for tensors and layers commonly found in DNN layers. These recipes synergize with DSL constructs to generate high-quality fused, vectorized, and parallelized code for CPUs. On an Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M CPU, SWIRL achieves performance comparable with Tensorflow integrated with MKL-DNN; on average 1.00× of Tensorflow inference and 0.99× of Tensorflow training. It also outperforms the original LATTE compiler on average by 1.22× and 1.30× on inference and training, respectively.

Abstract (sommario):

A Gram-stain-positive, coccoid-shaped, halophilic bacterium, strain SR-1T, was isolated from a salt crystal obtained from a mine located in Tarija, Bolivia. The strain was investigated using a polyphasic approach. The optimum conditions for growth of strain SR-1T were reached at 5 % (w/v) NaCl, pH 7.6 and 37–40 °C. The peptidoglycan contained meso-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid. The isoprenoid quinone was MK-7. The major cellular fatty acids of strain SR-1T were anteiso-C15 : 0, anteiso-C17 : 0 and iso-C16 : 0. The DNA G+C content of strain SR-1T was 48.6 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed a close relationship between strain SR-1T and Marinococcus halophilus JCM 2479T (99.7 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity), Marinococcus halotolerans KCTC 19045T (99.4 %) and Marinococcus luteus KCTC 13214T (99.8 %). However, strain SR-1T also showed low levels of DNA–DNA relatedness with these reference strains (47, 61 and 58 %, respectively). On the basis of phenotypic differences and DNA–DNA hybridization results, strain SR-1T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Marinococcus , for which the name Marinococcus tarijensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is SR-1T ( = LMG 26930T = CECT 8130T).

Con el trabajo fin de grado se espera que los estudiantes sean capaces de ir más allá de “decir el conocimiento”, dialogando con los interlocutores y posicionándose respecto a los contenidos de los que hablan. Este estudio se propone analizar estas dimensiones interactivas del texto examinando, según la teorización del metadiscurso, 116 introducciones y conclusiones de TFG de las áreas de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas, Ciencias de la Salud y de la Educación producidos en castellano entre los años 2017 y 2019. Los resultados aportan evidencias de que en los TFG se reconoce la presencia del lector, pero la interacción con él parece requerir una mayor armonización del posicionamiento con el que se presentan los juicios u opiniones y una relación dialógica que asegure una negociación interpersonal cuidadosa. De este conocimiento se derivan implicaciones didácticas concretas para la mejora de la formación en comunicación académica de los universitarios.

La guía docente manifiesta la planificación y orientación del proceso de aprendizaje de una asignatura. A pesar de instaurarse en el ámbito universitario hace más de dos décadas y ser un género técnico de referencia en el espacio académico, este no ha recibido especial atención en comparación a otros géneros que circulan en la universidad. Sobre un enfoque lingüístico-discursivo, este estudio analiza las estrategias de posicionamiento del profesorado en guías docentes, así como su estructura retórica, sus propósitos comunicativos y su función comunicativa. Para ello, se analizan 118 guías docentes del área de Didáctica de la Lengua y la Literatura de 67 universidades españolas a través de un análisis de tipo inductivo-deductivo. Los resultados muestran un género donde prevalece el discurso informativo-persuasivo y con una preponderancia de la dimensión jerárquica. Del mismo modo, el género presenta una estructura retórica estable, aunque con un etiquetaje diverso en su entitulación

La exigencia de un Trabajo final de grado (TFG) es un requisito en España para todos los candidatos a egresados. Estos textos deben incluir un resumen cuya redacción no suele ser objeto de instrucción. El objetivo de este trabajo es contribuir a la caracterización del género resumen mediante el análisis de los marcadores metadiscursivos interaccionales (Hyland, 2005a y 2005b) encontrados en un corpus de TFG y determinar si el uso de estos marcadores permite establecer distintos perfiles de escritor. El corpus está formado por 91 resúmenes escritos en español por estudiantes del grado de Lenguas aplicadas de una universidad española. Se ha adoptado un enfoque metodológico mixto, descriptivo para la caracterización discursiva de los textos e inferencial para la determinación de los perfiles. La lexicografía del siglo xxi afronta una transición decisiva. En un contexto de disrupción tecnológica, la proliferación de diccionarios en línea de consulta abierta, la consolidación de plataformas gratuitas como WordReference, Reverso, Linguee o Wiktionary, y el avance de los traductores automáticos plantean todo un desafío a las editoriales. Para analizar el momento crítico que atraviesa la lexicografía, este artículo aborda el impacto tecnológico, comparando las ventajas y desventajas de los diccionarios en papel frente a los diccionarios electrónicos. Asimismo, se debaten cuestiones transversales como la calidad de los diccionarios y la satisfacción de las necesidades de los usuarios. El objetivo es ofrecer un mapa del estado actual de la metalexicografía y señalar los desafíos y obstáculos a los que se enfrenta la lexicografía en la era digital.

Optimal management of water resources requires accurate determination of water balance components in each region and Evapotranspiration is one of the most important components of water balance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the spatiotemporal variability of reference evapotranspiration in Lorestan province- western Iran country using the Man-Kendall test and GIS then assess the effect of different climatic parameters on ET0 using multivariate regression. Lorestan province with a 28064 km area in western Iran has 9 synoptic stations including Khorramabad, Boroujerd, Aligouderz, Azna, Doroud, Koohdasht, Poldokhter, Aleshatar, and Noorabad. In this study, meteorological data were used for 9 synoptic stations of the Lorestan in a period from 2001 to 2017. The results showed that at most of the stations and most months, the changing trend was decreasing. The annual decrease in Azna station with Z=-2.73 at 99% level, and in the stations of Aligodarz, Kohdasht, and Doroud with Z equal to -2.27, -2.35, and -2.2, respectively at 95% was significant. The spatial distribution of ET0 showed that the maximum amount of ET0 occurred in the south of Lorestan Province, and decreased from south to north and west to east of the study area. These results indicate the influence of latitude and altitude on the spatial distribution of ET0. The impact of different parameters showed the greatest effect of maximum temperature and wind speed on ET0.

SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis is a useful tool for sustainable development and decision making about environmental planning and water resources management. This analysis was applied in order to evaluate the water resources of the wider area of Sperchios River. Sperchios River basin, with an average altitude of approximately 810m, covers an area of 2116 km2. The river is recharged by many streams of permanent and periodic flow and discharges in Maliakos Gulf. The steep slopes, which are present within approximately 2/3 of the total length of the river course, form a rather mountainous topography (streamy, with crucial flooding peaks and very intense sediment yield). Only in the last downstream part of Sperchios course, the topography gradually changes into a lowland relief, with an extent at the river mouth of 1830 km2. At this part of Sperchios severe cases of flooding have been occasionally observed and reported. Regarding the SWOT applications on the wider area of Sperchios River, various data were processed (geological, meteorological, hydrological, hydrogeological, land use, socio-economic and environmental parameters) in order to suggest a water management planning in the area.

Kriging is a geostatistical analysis of the data used to estimate the value that represents a no sample point based sample point in the surrounding by considering the spatial correlation in the data. Kriging is an interpolation method that generates unbiased predictions or estimations and has a minimum error. Indicator kriging is an estimation method that does not require the assumption of normality of data and can also be used to treat data that have a significant outlier. The indicator kriging that based on the principle of ordinary kriging also called ordinary indicator kriging. In this case study conducted Morowali estimated iron content in Central Sulawesi using ordinary indicator kriging method. The data used in the form of data coordinate point and iron content. The results obtained are presented probability value locations that fall within the zone of potential and non potential with the value the error variance. Based on the analysis to obtain a plot depicting the location of the entry in the zones of potential iron mine on the abscissa coordinate (7150–7210), the ordinate (54180–54540), and the depth ranges (440–500) meters and also the coordinates of the abscissa (7710–8130), the ordinate (54800–54960), and depths ranging from (327–342) meters.

alpha-Sarcin from Aspergillus giganteus and the ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs) from higher plants inactivate the 60 S ribosomal subunit. The former is an RNAase, whereas RIPs are N-glycosidases. The site of cleavage of RNA and that of N-glycosidic depurinization are at one nucleotide distance in 28 S rRNA [Endo & Tsurugi (1987) J. Biol. Chem. 262, 8128-8130]. The effect of alpha-sarcin and that of RIPs on the interaction of elongation factors with Artemia salina (brine shrimp) ribosomes have been investigated. alpha-Sarcin inhibits both the EF1 (elongation factor 1)-dependent binding of aminoacyl-tRNA and the GTP-dependent binding of EF2 (elongation factor 2) to ribosomes, whereas two of the RIPs tested, ricin from Ricinus communis (castor bean) and volkensin from Adenia volkensii (kilyambiti), inhibit only the latter reaction. EF2 protects ribosomes from inactivation by both alpha-sarcin and ricin. The EF1-binding site is affected only by alpha-sarcin. The sensitivity of this site to alpha-sarcin is increased by pretreatment of ribosomes with ricin. A. salina ribosomes were highly resistant to the third RIP tested, namely gelonin from Gelonium multiflorum. All four proteins tested have, however, a comparable activity on the rabbit reticulocyte-lysate system.

The composition and structure of demersal chondrichthyan assemblages and the biological parameters of their main species were compared in four geographical subareas (GSAs) established by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean in the western Mediterranean:northern Alboran Sea (GSA01) and Alboran Island (GSA02), Balearic Islands (GSA05) and northern Spain (GSA06), with the first two being considered jointly. Data were obtained from 199 hauls undertaken from May to June 2013 during the Spanish International Bottom Trawl Survey in the Mediterranean (MEDITS). Twenty-five different chondrichthyan species were caught in all GSAs: seven were common to all areas, five appeared only in GSA01, nine appeared only in GSA05 and one appeared only in GSA06. Analysis of community structure (clusters, multidimensional scaling, analysis of similitude) revealed two assemblages related to depth, with very similar bathymetric ranges in all GSAs, namely continental shelf (from 41 to 252m) and slope (from 284 to 813m). The highest diversity, biomass and abundance values on the shelf and slope assemblages were recorded in GSA05 and GSA01 respectively. These results highlight the effects of the distinct fishing and oceanographic parameters related to the GSAs. Generally, the biological parameters of the most important species did not show differences between GSAs, which could suggest the existence of a single population in the western Mediterranean.

Quantitative PCR (qPCR) is highly sensitive to diagnose Pneumocystis jirovecii (Pj) pneumonia (PCP). However, differentiating PCP and colonization remains difficult. This study aimed to establish the performances of the commercialized qPCR MycoGENIE® Pj kit (Ademtech) to distinguish PCP and Pj colonization. Patients with a positive Pj qPCR on bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) or upper respiratory tract (URT) samples were prospectively included between May 2019 and December 2020 at Bordeaux University Hospital. They were classified in “PCP” or “Pj colonization” groups based on the revised EORTC/MSGERC criteria. The two groups’ results were compared; ROC curves were produced to determine the best thresholds. Excluding the low number of HIV-positive subjects, there were 100 PCP (32 BAL, 68 URT) and 70 Pj colonization (34 BAL, 36 URT). Pj loads were significantly higher in PCP compared to Pj colonization group (p ≤ 0.01). The best cut-offs for PCP diagnosis were 31.45 Cq/8275 copies/mL for BAL and 32.33 Cq/8130 copies/mL for URT (sensitivity = 59.4%, 63.3%, specificity = 82.4%, 88.9%, respectively). Fungal load quantification using MycoGENIE® Pj qPCR helps discriminating PCP from colonization, high fungal loads being indicative of probable PCP. Low load results should be interpreted with caution, in accordance with clinical and radiological signs.
