The Paleoproterozoic Hurwitz Group of the western Churchill Province is an erosional remnant of an areally extensive, predominantly shallow-water intracratonic basin comprised of four major sequences. Sequence 2, forming the central part of the stratigraphy, contains the Ameto Formation, a sequence of pillowed and massive basaltic rocks and associated gabbro sills termed the Happotiyik Member that are interlayered with subordinate deep-water mudstones, siltstones, and diamictites. Whole-rock geochemical data for the mafic rocks reveals a suite of homogeneous tholeiitic basalts with affinities to both continental and volcanic-arc tholeiites. Compatible trace elements and large-ion lithophile elements exhibit scattered behavior, whereas all high field strength elements show a systematic increase with Zr. The rocks are large-ion lithophile and light rare-earth element enriched, and have parallel primitive mantle normalized extended trace element patterns with prominent negative Nb, Ta, and Ti anomalies. εNd(t=2200 Ma) values for the rocks range from 0.0 to +0.8. The data indicate that the parental magmas were derived from a heterogeneous, predominantly depleted mantle source that included a minor metasomatically enriched component. Contamination by Neoarchean, juvenile silicic upper crust during ascent was minimal. We envisage that the rocks of the Happotiyik Member were generated from sub-continental lithospheric mantle that was stabilized immediately after formation of the ca. 2680 Ma, Neoarchean Central Hearne sub-domain. This enrichment occurred via metasomatic infiltration of subduction-derived fluids and melts into the overlying lithosphere. A wide range of Paleoproterozoic intra-continental mafic rocks in the western Churchill Province exhibit comparable geochemical and isotopic signatures that suggest an origin in the lithospheric mantle. These observations imply that the Hearne sub-continental lithospheric mantle has endured since the Neoarchean and likely persists today.

140 Background: The quality of care transfers is known to influence clinical outcomes. In an inpt onc setting at a major tertiary care referral center, patient (pt) adm originate from many different areas and times. A detailed evaluation of onc adm by source of transfer, admission time, and provider type, may identify opportunities to improve inpt clinical outcomes. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all adm to the inpt solid tumor onc service from July - December 2014 from CCF regional hospital emergency departments (ED), outside hospital (OSH) ED, OSH inpt services, and CCF outpt clinics. Pts were excluded if the adm was planned or if admitted from the CCF Main Campus ED. Data collected included pt and encounter characteristics and provider type (house-staff or nocturnal hospitalist). Clinical outcomes, including activation of the adult medical emergency team (AMET), ICU transfers, length of stay (LOS), and in-hospital mortality were compared using chi-squared test; ECOG PS and LOS with the Kruskal-Wallis tests and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Results: A total of 413 unique pt admissions were reviewed. 213 were included after exclusion criteria were applied. The probability of AMET activation, mortality, and LOS differed by origin of transfer. Pts admitted from CCF regional EDs had the lowest median LOS and no deaths. OSH int transfers demonstrated significantly higher mortality vs other origins of transfer. Pts whose first orders were placed after 5pm had no significant differences in AMET activation, ICU transfers, LOS, or mortality vs daytime adm. There were no differences in adverse outcomes by the type of admitting provider. Conclusions: Onc inpts transferred from an outside healthcare setting were at highest risk for adverse outcomes (AMETs, increased LOS, and mortality) include those originating from OSH inpt services. Process and communication interventions focused on transfers from outside inpt facilities may improve safety and outcomes in this population. [Table: see text]

Vilniaus universitetas teikė didelę reikšmę praktiniam rankų darbo bei amatų įgūdžių mokymui Vilniaus mokymo apygardos mokymo įstaigose. Reakcinio pobūdžio 1828 m. mokyklų nuostatai sudarė sąlygas mokyti amato, bet, politinių įvykių įtakoje, nuslopinus 1830 – 1831 m. sukilimą, Lietuvoje buvo įgyvendinama tik reakcinė nuostatų pusė. Rankų darbui ir amatui, specialiam šių dalykų mokymui nebuvo teikiama pakankamai reikšmės. Todėl XIX a. viduryje Vilniaus mokymo apygardos gubernijose tik 21 liaudies mokykloje buvo mokoma amatų. Ekonomikos raida šalyje, ypač šešiasdešimtaisiais XIX a. metais, kai Rusijos eksportas ir importas judėjo pagrindinai lietuviškų žemių sausuma ir upėmis, geležinkelių ir kelių statyba pareikalavo didesnio skaičiaus darbininkų, turinčių amato darbinių įgūdžių. Kadangi nebuvo amatų mokyklų, tokių darbininkų kadrus papildydavo kaimų ir miestų meistrų, amatininkų apmokyti asmenys bei asmenys, amato mokęsi iš tėvų, kariuomenėje ar savarankiškai. Valstybinio turto gubernijos žinybos stengėsi pritvirtinti našlaičius ir berniukus iš skurdžių šeimų prie amatininkų mokytis amato. Amatininkas imdavosi mokyti ir išlaikyti berniuką veltui su sąlyga, kad mokinys mokysis pas jį nustatytą laiką. Tokiu būdu įvairių amatų mokėsi ganėtinai didelis skaičius berniukų, pvz., Vilniaus gubernijoje 1853 m. – 357. Dėl ilgos karinės tarnybos dauguma grįžusiųjų iš jos nebuvo darbingi ir negalėjo įsijungti į ūkinę veiklą. Be to, įgyti įgūdžiai nepasižymėjo įvairove. Amatininkų poreikis sudarė jiems įmanomas gyvenimo sąlygas. Bežemių ir mažažemių valstiečių vaikų nukreipimas į amatus iš dalies pasitarnavo ir sprendžiant socialines problemas. Tam pasitarnavo ir 1853 m. amatininkų nuostatai. Mokytis amatų savo kūriniuose „Palangos Juzė“ ir „Paaugusių žmonių knygelė“????? skatino XIX vidurio lietuvių rašytojas M. Valančius. Jis teigė, kad paauglius mokytis amato reikia atiduoti savo darbą žinančiam meistrui. O parinkti amatą reikia atsižvelgiant į paauglio polinkius. Pradėjo augti interesas amato mokymuisi. Individualus amato mokymas meistro dirbtuvėse jau nebetenkino norinčių išmokti amato. Šalies ekonominė raida reikalavo susieti praktinių įgūdžių įgijimą su teoriniu paruošimu.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the nutritional quality, phenolic compounds, fatty acid and antioxidant activity in vitro as well as a toxicological screening of A. muricata seed oil in vivo. The chemical composition and quantification of phenolic compounds were determined by the Adolfo Lutz Institute normative. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by DPPH, FRAP and ABTS methods. The oil was extracted by chloroform/ methanol and precipitated crude (AmPtO) and supernatant oils (AmSO) were obtained. The fatty acid profile was evaluated by gas chromatography and total compounds by HPLC-DAD. BALB/C mice received AmPtO and AmSO (0.5 and 1.0mL·Kg-1) for 14 days. Toxicity parameters were assessed. The major fatty acids in the oil were oleic (39.2%) and linoleic (33%). HPLC-DAD suggested the presence of acetogenins (annonacin: 595 [M-H]-), with a greater presence in AmPtO. The AmPtO group showed toxicity, which may be related to the acetogenin content in AmPtO. The AmSO group showed no toxicity and this oil has potential for food or medicinal use.

ResumoA temática da reprodução suscitou, desde sempre, muito interesse por parte de diversos estudiosos. Desde a Antiguidade, com Aristóteles (384 – 322 a.C.) e Hipócrates (460 – 377 a.C.), entre outros, passando pela Idade Média, diversos autores defenderam a teoria das duas sementes, na qual o feto era o resultado da mistura de duas sementes, uma masculina e outra feminina. No Renascimento surgiram importantes descobertas para as quais foi inegável o contributo do médico judeu português Amato Lusitano. Neste estudo pretendemos apresentar alguns casos de esterilidade e disfunção sexual e as sugestões de tratamentos, dando especial atenção à técnica inovadora de inseminação artificial. Recorremos à análise de conteúdo da obra de Amato Lusitano, As Centúrias para a recolha de dados. Verificámos que Amato descreveu, na sua obra As Centúrias, alguns casos de esterilidade, disfunção sexual e inseminação artificial, o que terá contribuído para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento sobre estas temáticas, no séc. XVI. Palavras-chave: Amato Lusitano, Centúrias, disfusão sexual, inseminação artificial, reprodução.Abstract The theme of reproduction has always attracted a lot of interest from various scholars. From Antiquity to Aristotle (384 - 322 BC) and Hippocrates (460 - 377 BC), among others, going through the Middle Ages, several authors defended the theory of two seeds, in which the fetus was the result of mixing two seeds, one male and one female. In the Renaissance important discoveries emerged for which the contribution of the Portuguese Jewish doctor Amato Lusitano was undeniable. In this study we intend to present some cases of sterility and sexual dysfunction and the suggestions of treatments, paying special attention to the innovative technique of artificial insemination. We used the content analysis of the work of Amato. Lusitano, The Centuries for data collection. We found that Amato described, in his book The Centuries, some cases of sterility, sexual dysfunction and artificial insemination, which contributed to the development of knowledge about this subject in the 16th century. La thèse se propose, dans une première partie, d’analyser et d'actualiser la tradition manuscrite de la Comedia delle Ninfe Fiorentine, œuvre de jeunesse de Giovanni Boccaccio, composée immédiatement après le retour à Florence de la cour angevine de Naples.L'édition actuelle de Comedia delle Ninfe, est due à Antonio Enzo Quaglio et remonte à 1963. Elle fournit, comme il était d'usage à l'époque, une description brève et peu précise des témoins interrogés. Les manuscrits sont donc classés selon un critère socioculturel (copie a prezzo et copie per passione), datant des codex au quart de siècle. Quand cela est possible, un profil biographique des copistes est fourni. Le travail est complété par les fiches de chacun des témoins individuels acceptés dans le corpus.La deuxième partie de la thèse est un travail de commentaire d’historie littéraire divisé par thèmes. La composition de la Comedia delle Ninfe est liée à l'expérience biographique de son auteur et au développement de son expérience littéraire.L’histoire du dédicataire de l’œuvre, Niccolò di Bartolo del Buono, nous permet de fournir des repères chronologiques pour chacune des deux rédactions de la Comedia.La proposition de mettre en relation Caccia di Diana, Comedia et Amorosa Visione nous donne l’occasion de comparer trois œuvres de Boccaccio, en considérant l’utilisation du capitolo ternario comme premier dénominateur commun.Le chapitre sur le prosimètre donne un aperçu des sources possibles auxquelles Boccaccio peut, ou ne peut pas, faire référence pour cette forme particulière (prose et vers).Enfin, l'analyse de la production bucolique de Boccace et de son évolution amène à considérer le Comedia comme une première œuvre de ce genre avec l’utilisation du vulgaireThe aim of this thesis is to analyze and updating the manuscript tradition of the Comedia delle Ninfe Fiorentine, written by a young Giovanni Boccaccio in Florence, as he came back there from Naples. The current edition by Antonio Enzo Quaglio (1963) only provides, as was customary at the time, a brief and inaccurate description of the witnesses surveyed. For that reason, in this work manuscripts have been dated a divided into a prezzo and per passion copies. Where possible, a biographical profile of the copyists have been included. Moreover, each copy has its own detection form.The second part of the thesis consists of a historic-literary commentary: the Comedia delle Ninfe is has been interpreted on the basis of the biography of the author and of his literary production. The two draftings of the Comedia have been also dated according to the biography of Niccolò di Bartolo del Buono, to whom this opera was dedicated. Besides, the Comedia has been compared to the Caccia di Diana and the Amorosa Visione, on the basis of the use of the capitolo ternario. A chapter on the prosimetrum provides some hypoteses on the literary sources Boccaccio may have, or may not, referred to. At last, by analysing the bucolic literary works by Boccaccio, the Comedia can be considered the first example in this genre, regarding the use of the vernacular
La tesi si propone, nella prima parte, di analizzare, aggiornandola, la tradizione manoscritta della Comedia delle Ninfe Fiorentine, opera della giovinezza di Giovanni Boccaccio, composta subito dopo il ritorno del Certaldese a Firenze dalla corte angioina di Napoli. L’edizione esistente della Comedia delle Ninfe, datata 1963 per la cura di Antonio Enzo Quaglio, fornisce, come d’uso all’epoca, una descrizione sommaria e poco accurata dei testimoni censiti. Si classificano quindi i manoscritti secondo un criterio socioculturale (copia a prezzo e copia per passione), datando i codici al quarto di secolo. Si fornisce, ove possibile, un profilo biografico dei copisti. Il lavoro è completato dalle schede di rilevamento dei singoli testimoni accolti nel corpus, redatte secondo un criterio stabilito a priori.La seconda parte della tesi è un lavoro di commento letterario suddiviso per tematiche. La composizione della Comedia delle Ninfe viene messa in relazione con l’esperienza biografica del suo autore e con il dipanarsi della sua esperienza letteraria. La vicenda del dedicatario dell’opera, Niccolò di Bartolo del Buono, permette di collocare con riferimenti cronologici l’identificazione delle due redazioni della Comedia.Occasione di confrontare tre opere del Boccaccio è la proposta di mettere in relazione Caccia di Diana , Comedia e Amorosa Visione considerando come primo denominatore comune l’utilizzo del capitolo ternario.Il capitolo sul prosimetro fornisce una rassegna sulle possibili fonti alle quali Boccaccio può, o non può, aver fatto riferimento nella composizione dell’opera con questa particolare forma.Infine l’analisi della produzione bucolica del Boccaccio, e della sua evoluzione, propone di considerare la Comedia come un’opera prima in questo genere per l’utilizzo del volgare

Questo lavoro di tesi si propone innanzitutto di analizzare e raccontare quello che è stato il progetto teatrale Amleto a Gerusalemme, frutto della volontà di organizzazioni quali la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo italiana, il Teatro Stabile di Torino e il Teatro Nazionale Palestinese, che insieme hanno raggruppato formatori italiani e palestinesi, e sono riusciti a creare una troupe bi-nazionale.
Lo spettacolo, che ha visto il debutto in Italia nel 2016, intreccia l’opera del grande drammaturgo inglese William Shakespeare con la storia del conflitto arabo-israeliano, utilizzando quindi le tematiche della tragedia shakespeariana per raccontare quelle che sono le esperienze quotidiane dei ragazzi nei Territori Occupati.
Per prima cosa ho quindi messo a confronto l’opera del Bardo con questa variante moderna, poiché lo spettacolo è infatti ispirato alla tragedia, ma non una copia esatta.
Ho poi continuato ad utilizzare il metodo di paragone anche per quanto riguarda l’analisi dei temi specifici dell’opera, che sono stati quindi messi a sistema con la storia e l’attuale situazione del conflitto israelo-palestinese. I temi analizzati sono stati quattro: in primo luogo il tema della terra, del territorio, e della sua conquista anche tramite la forza e la violenza. Il parallelo che si creerà sarà quello tra il personaggio del principe Fortebraccio di Norvegia, antagonista di Amleto, che, spinto dall’onore e dalla vendetta alla conquista delle terre di Polonia e Danimarca, raggruppa un esercito per invadere il territorio, e il colono israeliano del 1948, anno della fondazione dello Stato di Israele.
Al tema della conquista si lega poi quello della vendetta: alla vendetta viene associata l’azione e il coraggio di agire, quello che manca ad Amleto fino all’ultima scena dell’ultimo atto. Si ricercheranno le diverse azioni e modi di vendetta all’interno della storia del conflitto sia da parte palestinese che da parte israeliana, cercando di capire che cosa significhi vendetta violenta. Infine l’analisi verterà sulla ricerca della alternative possibili alla vendetta, e se resistere in maniera pacifica corrisponda o meno all’immobilità e alla mancanza di valore, proponendo come terza via la resistenza nonviolenta e il ṣumūd palestinese.
Un altro personaggio che verrà preso in esame sarà quello del padre di Amleto, o meglio, del suo spettro che appare all’inizio della tragedia shakespeariana alle guardie del castello di Elsinore. Il fantasma rappresenta la parte di eredità che i padri lasciano ai figli, l’eredità profonda che torna e poi resta anche dopo la morte dei genitori. In questo caso specifico siamo portati a domandarci: qual è l’eredità che un genitore palestinese lascia ai propri figli?
Che immagine riceve un figlio dei propri genitori, quotidianamente vessati e umiliati dalle forze dell’occupazione? Cosa potrebbe chiedere lo spettro di un padre palestinese al figlio?
Infine, l’ultimo e forse il più importante tema chiave che unisce l’opera dell’Amleto con la vita di ogni palestinese è il concetto di essenza: essere o non essere? Essere o morire? Tali problematiche vengono poste in maniera metaforica, con l’intento di ritrovare l’identità delle persone che abitano in Palestina e più in generale in terra di conflitto.
Sono queste le domande che sono state poste all’inizio di questo lavoro, e a cui si cercherà di rispondere attraverso la ricerca e l’analisi sia letteraria che storica.

Previous issue date: 2013-03-19Propose a methodology for analyzing equity in revenue and total expenditure public resources of state budgets on a regional scale including tax exemptions is the aim of this work. The object of analysis is the Budget State of Rio Grande do Sul in 2011. Although the fact of federal government has the main responsibility to correct vertical and horizontal imbalances between the local governments, the influence of state?s budge, considering its proportion in local economies, cannot be neglected, The work is structured in four chapters. A literature review abording the discussion of equity on national and regional levels is contemplated on chapter 2. In Chapter 3, the methodology used to obtain the regionalization of the State budget, both for revenue and for expenses, including Tax Expenditures is detailed. For the results evaluation, the main components of revenues and expenses were unfolded by region and per capita. The reference for comparison is the average income of the State. And so the both sides of the equation budget, revenues and expenses, and, balance, tested to analyze equity. The budget balance resulting from this, show us the less or greater progressivity, of the budget in the regions. In Chapter 4 will also be examined the proportion of servers in regions depending on income per capita, as well as a comparison with the HDI. In Chapter 5 will be the general conclusions of the work. Briefly, it was concluded that although the exaction is neutral on the income of the regions and the expenditure not present mechanisms that enhance equity, on balance, i.e. the budget balance resulting from the exaction and expense signs relative progressivity of the income regions, benefiting, albeit inhomogeneous the poorest regions of the state. The inhomogeneity of the distribution of the balance budget in regions points where concentrate efforts to improve the budgetary income of the poorest regions.
Este trabalho tem por objetivo propor uma metodologia de an?lise da equidade na receita e no disp?ndio total, incluindo as desonera??es fiscais, dos recursos p?blicos dos or?amentos estaduais, em escala regional, tomando como objeto de an?lise o Or?amento Estadual do Rio Grande do Sul em 2011. A justificativa reside no fato de que, ainda que a responsabilidade da corre??o dos desequil?brios verticais e horizontais entre os entes federativos recaia sobremodo ? Uni?o, n?o se pode negligenciar a influ?ncia dos or?amentos estaduais, dada sua propor??o nas economias locais. Em sua estrutura este trabalho conter? uma revis?o bibliogr?fica no Cap?tulo 2 sobre a discuss?o da equidade tanto no ?mbito nacional e regional. No Cap?tulo 3 uma exposi??o da tecnologia utilizada para a obten??o da regionaliza??o do Or?amento Estadual, tanto para as receitas como para as despesas, com a inclus?o dos Gastos Tribut?rios. No Cap?tulo 4 uma avalia??o dos resultados, desdobrando-se a receita e despesa em seus principais componentes, por regi?o e per capita, observando-se suas caracter?sticas, tendo por r?gua de medida a renda m?dia do Estado. E assim, testa-se a equidade de ambos os lados da equa??o do Or?amento: receita e despesa; e, do balan?o. Isto ?, verifica-se a menor ou maior progressividade do Saldo Or?ament?rio na renda das regi?es. No Cap?tulo 4 tamb?m ser?o examinados a propor??o dos servidores nas regi?es em fun??o da renda per capita, bem como uma compara??o com o IDH. No Cap?tulo 5 estar?o as conclus?es gerais do trabalho. De forma sucinta, concluiu-se que embora a exa??o seja neutra em rela??o ? renda das regi?es e o gasto n?o apresente mecanismos que reforcem a equidade, no balan?o final, isto ?, no Saldo Or?ament?rio resultante, h? progressividade em rela??o ? renda das regi?es, beneficiando, embora de modo n?o homog?neo as regi?es mais pobres do Estado. A n?o homogeneidade da distribui??o do Saldo Or?ament?rio nas regi?es aponta onde concentrar esfor?os or?ament?rios para melhorar a renda das regi?es mais carentes.

CAPESDurante a dormência, as plantas de clima temperado cessam temporariamente o crescimento visível. No caso da macieira sabe-se que a temperatura é o fator ambiental que mais influencia a dormência. A planta necessita de baixas temperaturas para induzir a entrada e posteriormente a saída da dormência, para então retomar o crescimento vegetativo. Sabe-se que quando não ocorre acúmulo suficiente de frio, as plantas apresentam crescimento errático, com brotação ocorrendo predominantemente na porção distal dos ramos, comprometendo a brotação satisfatória. No entanto, há pouca informação sobre o metabolismo destes carboidratos e sua relação com a dormência de plantas em condições de inverno ameno. Contudo o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar as diferenças biológicas e bioquímicas entre as porções distal e proximal de ramos de macieira que influenciam a acrotonia. De abril a outubro dos anos de 2012, 2013 e 2014, foram coletados ramos e esporões de três cultivares de macieira (Eva, Galaxy e Fuji Suprema) cultivadas em um pomar comercial no município de Plamas-PR. Para avaliar a intensidade da dormência em gemas vegetativas foi realizado o teste de estacas de uma só gema, e o teste de Tabuenca para as gemas florais. Variáveis bioquímicas também foram avaliadas como o teor de proteínas solúveis; atividade de alfa-amilase; açúcares (glicose, frutose, sacarose e sorbitol); amido e umidade. De forma geral as cultivares apresentaram tempo médio de brotação (TMB) menores do que em clima temperado. A porcentagem de brotação manteve-se alta na maioria das coletas para as três cultivares. O teste de Tabuenca confirmou a precocidade da cultivar Eva e mostrou comportamento muito semelhante entre a ‘Galaxy’ e a ‘Fuji Suprema’. Além disso foi observado um intervalo muito curto entre a saída da endodormência em condições de forçagem e em condição de campo. A umidade ponderal variou conforme o padrão da temperatura em cada ano, sendo que em 2013, ano de maior acúmulo de frio a umidade ponderal apresentou os menores valores para todas as cultivares. Em 2013 a tendência de aumento da atividade da alfa-amilase e no teor de proteína coincidiram com o menor valor de TMB. A glicose e frutose apresentaram comportamento muito semelhantes entre si durante as observações. O teor de sacarose variou de ano para ano, não apresentando um padrão fixo. O sorbitol, açúcar mais abundante no xilema, tende a ser mais constante durante a dormência com leve tendência de redução próximo à brotação. O teor de amido tende a diminuir com os primeiros acúmulos de horas frio, no entanto frequentemente sofre ressíntese, devido às ondas de calor comuns no inverno. Existe diferenças entre as porções dital e proximal dos ramos para todas as variáveis analisadas, com teor de carboidrato, atividade enzimática, proteínas e umidade predominantemente maiores na porção distal dos ramos, com algumas exceções pontuais. Isso pode estar associado à ocorrência de acrotonia em macieiras. As plantas avaliadas parecem não entrar em dormência profunda em condição de inverno ameno, tendo seu metabolismo muito sujeito às oscilações de temperatura. O metabolismo das plantas tende a mudar de ano para ano de acordo com o padrão do inverno em cada ano.
During dormancy, temperate plants temporarily stops visible growth. In apple trees, it is known that temperature is the environmental factor that most influences dormancy. The plant requires low temperatures to induce input and then to output endodormancy, thus resumption vegetative grow. It is known that when there isn’t sufficient chilling accumulation, plants present erratic growth, with budbreak occurring predominantly in the distal portion of the branches, compromising the satisfactory budbreak. However, there is little information on the metabolism of these carbohydrates and their relationship to plant dormancy in subtropical humid climates. This work aimed to evaluate the biological and biochemical differences between the distal and proximal portions of apple tree branches that influence acrotonia. From April to October of 2012, 2013 and 2014, branches and spurs of three apple cultivars (Eva, Galaxy and Fuji Suprema) were harvested in a commercial orchard in Palmas-PR. In order to evaluate the dormancy intensity in vegetative and floral buds, single bud cuttings test and Tabuenca test were carried out, respectively. Biochemical variables were also evaluated such as soluble protein content; Alpha-amylase activity; Soluble sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose and sorbitol); Starch and water content. In general, the cultivars showed the Mean Time to Budbrst (MTB) lower than in temperate climate. The budburst percentage remained high in most of the observation dates for the three cultivars. The Tabuenca test confirmed the precocity of the cultivar Eva and showed very similar behavior between 'Galaxy' and 'Fuji Suprema'. In addition, a very short interval between the endodormancy output under forcing conditions and in field condition was observed. The water content varied according to the temperature pattern in each year, and in 2013, the year of greatest cold accumulation, the lowest values for all cultivars were observed. In 2013, the trend of increased alpha-amylase activity and protein content coincided with the lower value of MTB. Glucose and fructose presented very similar behavior among themselves during the observations. The sucrose content varied from year to year and did not present a fixed pattern. Sorbitol, sugar most abundant in the xylem, tends to be more constant during dormancy with a slight reduction tendency close to budding. The starch content tends to decrease with the first chilling accumulations, however it often undergoes resynthesis due to the heat waves common in winter. There are differences between the distal and proximal portions of the branches for all variables analyzed, with carbohydrate content, enzymatic activity, proteins and humidity predominantly larger in the distal portion of the branches, with some occasional exceptions. This may be associated with the occurrence of acrotonia in apple trees. The evaluated apple trees do not appear to fall into deep endodormancy in a mild winter condition, their metabolism seems to be very subject to temperature oscillations. Plant metabolism tends to change from year to year according to the winter pattern in each year.

La tesi vuole restituire un racconto fotografico della città di Genova, prendendo come tema principale quello delle minoranze e delle sottoculture, attraverso il lavoro dei fotografi genovesi Lisetta Carmi ed Antonio Amato.
Lisetta Carmi, conosciuta ed apprezzata fotografa, ha legato il suo nome al reportage sulla comunità transessuale genovese del Centro Storico mentre Antonio Amato, principalmente fotografo per il quotidiano genovese Il Secolo XIX , ha catturato la poco conosciuta realtà del movimento punk genovese.
La ricerca affronta questi due temi mettendo a confronto il lavoro di Carmi ed Amato con due fotografi stranieri che hanno svolto simili reportage: Nan Goldin e Derek Ridgers.
La scelta di queste due minoranze è dettata principalmente dal voler evidenziare come certi fenomeni, molto spesso volutamente dimenticati, fanno parte anche della storia italiana ed anzi, come nel caso della comunità transessuale, hanno avuto una grande rilevanza in Italia.
Genova è stata scelta sia come città che negli anni ’60 ospitava la più grande comunità transessuale in Italia sia per aver potuto osservare, per un periodo molto breve, lo sviluppo del fenomeno punk.
L’obiettivo finale è quello di evidenziare e restituire un lato inedito del capoluogo ligure grazie al linguaggio immediato della fotografia.

Foram desconsideradas palavras com contexto de harmoniza??o voc?lica, de eleva??o quase categ?rica como a vogal /e/ inicial, seguida de /S/ e /N/, assim como vogais em seq??ncia que podem formar ditongo ou hiato. Portanto, o estudo deteve-se em palavras do tipo boneca, tomate, pedestre. As ocorr?ncias foram estudadas sob a perspectiva da Teoria da Varia??o, modelo laboviano. O estudo foi realizado com dados do portugu?s falado na cidade de Porto Alegre, amostra que faz parte do Banco VARSUL, propriamente Projeto VARSUL, o qual tem por objetivo a descri??o do portugu?s falado no Sul do Pa?s. Os resultados da an?lise mostraram que a varia??o nesse contexto ocorre escassamente e que atinge mais a vogal /o/ do que /e/. Tudo indica que se trata de uma varia??o lexical e n?o de uma varia??o neogram?tica, pois ocorre com mais facilidade em palavras aparentadas, como cunversa, cunversava, cunversando; chuvendo, chuveu, chuver, do que em palavras isoladas em que se mostra timidamente.

Previous issue date: 2006-02-20There are some approaches that take advantage of unused computational resources in the Internet nodes - users? machines. In the last years , the peer-to-peer networks (P2P) have gaining a momentum mainly due to its support for scalability and fault tolerance. However, current P2P architectures present some problems such as nodes overhead due to messages routing, a great amount of nodes reconfigurations when the network topology changes, routing traffic inside a specific network even when the traffic is not directed to a machine of this network, and the lack of a proximity relationship among the P2P nodes and the proximity of these nodes in the IP network. Although some architectures use the information about the nodes distance in the IP network, they use methods that require dynamic information. In this work we propose a P2P architecture to fix the problems afore mentioned. It is composed of three parts. The first part consists of a basic P2P architecture, called SGrid, which maintains a relationship of nodes in the P2P network with their position in the IP network. Its assigns adjacent key regions to nodes of a same organization. The second part is a protocol called NATal (Routing and NAT application layer) that extends the basic architecture in order to remove from the nodes the responsibility of routing messages. The third part consists of a special kind of node, called LSP (Lightware Super-Peer), which is responsible for maintaining the P2P routing table. In addition, this work also presents a simulator that validates the architecture and a module of the Natal protocol to be used in Linux routers
Entre as diversas abordagens para se aproveitar os recursos computacionais ociosos existentes nas folhas da Internet, ou seja, nas m?quinas dos usu?rios, as redes peer-to-peer (P2P) v?m ganhando destaque especial nos ?ltimos anos devido principalmente ? sua escalabilidade, desempenho e toler?ncia ? falhas. As arquiteturas P2P atuais, entretanto, ainda apresentam alguns problemas como a sobrecarga nos n?s devido ? realiza??o do roteamento de mensagens, o n?mero elevado de n?s reconfigurados devido ? mudan?as de topologia da rede, a exist?ncia de tr?fego de roteamento dentro das redes das organiza??es que n?o ? destinado a nenhuma de suas m?quinas e ? aus?ncia de rela??o entre a proximidade dos n?s na rede P2P e a proximidade desses n?s na rede IP. Embora algumas arquiteturas considerem essas dist?ncias na rede IP, o fazem atrav?s de m?todos que requerem a troca de informa??es constantemente. Nesse trabalho n?s propomos uma arquitetura P2P para resolver os problemas citados. Essa arquitetura ? composta por tr?s partes. A primeira parte consiste em uma arquitetura P2P b?sica, chamada SGrid, que mant?m a rela??o dos n?s na rede P2P com suas posi??es na rede IP e atribui regi?es de chaves adjacentes para n?s de uma mesma organiza??o. Previous issue date: 2006-07-19This paper seeks to analyze the process of implementation of the Participative Budget in Alagoinhas- BA (2001-2005). The historic molding of the practice of citizenship in Brazil imposed an anti-participation of the popular classes and of the different social subjects including the political class and the civil society that has been facing a new form of administration that have adopted social participation and direct democracy as the basic primacy; as well as how to understand up to which point the Participative Budget has contributed to social participation, local authority and a health system with a greater resolubility. The study is of qualitative nature in a historical-social perspective. The working up process of the Participative Budget includes various social subjects (govemment, social movements and legislative power) with educational matrixes of political, social, cultural and ideological meaning that made possible the dialogue between the subjects and the object of the study. The semi-structured interview was used so to permit a greater freedom for the interviewer as well as the person interviewed in order to contribute to the development of the proposed theme through its form of leaming the reality it lives in. The participative observation of the elaboration, execution and evaluation of the Participative Budget and the consulting of documents that portray its implementation had a complementary character. The treatment of the empiric material had as basis the contents analysis, taking into account the multiple dimensions of the investigative process, in the description, explanation and comprehension of the study in focus. The study reveals that the Participative Budget is build as a pedagogical instrument of citizenship of social control and local power upon the use of public resources. The Participative Budget conforms itself as a democratic and participative project with popular support, being implemented as of 2001 with advances and set backs in its process of formation with regard to social participation. There existed convergence among the people interviewed in the acknowledgment of the Participative Budget as a tool of social control of the municipal executive and legislative actions by the civil society and the formation of different subjects to perform citizenship. One of the consensual questions, for the advocates as well as the opponents of the Participative Budget, was the definition and election of an excessive number of priorities in 2001 and 2002. Their putting into practice would result in an expenditure of funds fairly above the investment capacity of the municipality. Hence it was not possible to define new priorities as long as the ones that had been defined previously were carried out, causing political wear to the Participative Budget members. Nevertheless the govemment nucleus showed understanding as to the claims of the people of Alagoinhas making possible a democratic discussion of the problems that are present in the local govemment. The survey identified that from 2001 on, the local govemment got the full administration of the health care system receiving direct funds from the Ministry of Health without the state intermediacy. This process represented not only a greater entrance of resources from the national fund into the municipal health fund, but also an increase in the counterpart of the local govemment in health investments. It was concluded that the Participative Budget is a process of participative construction and of citizenship permeated by conf1icts and contradictions in the service of the social necessities of a local reality.

Considerando o hist?rico cerceamento do exerc?cio da cidadania no Brasil, que imp?s uma antiparticipa??o das camadas populares, aqui se prop?e investigar, como os diferentes sujeitos sociais, incluindo a Classe Pol?tica e a Sociedade Civil, se confrontaram ante uma nova forma de gest?o que tinha a Participa??o Social e a democracia direta como primado b?sico. Assim como compreender at? ponto o or?amento participativo (OP) contribuiu para ampliar a Participa??o Social, o Poder Local, um sistema de sa?de com maior resolubilidade para a popula??o e o exerc?cio da cidadania plena conquistando melhor qualidade de vida para os mun?cipes alagoinhenses. Toma como pressupostos te?ricos b?sicos a conforma??o social do poder pol?tico, econ?mico, cultural e ideol?gico no espa?o local e nacional que buscou historicamente dificultar de todas as formas o exerc?cio da cidadania pelas camadas populares e a implementa??o do OP, como um instrumento de mobiliza??o da sociedade civil, o que contribuiu para ampliar a Participa??o Social e o Poder Local no processo de constru??o da cidadania. Esse foi permeado por conflitos e contradi??es, pela complexidade das demandas e necessidades sociais apresentadas pelos diferentes sujeitos sociais (gestores, trabalhadores, usu?rios, lideran?as comunit?rias, e opositores) no cen?rio local. Tratava-se de um estudo de natureza qualitativa, em uma perspectiva hist?rico-social, cr?tica e reflexiva. Ao analisar o processo de elabora??o do OP , incluindo diferentes sujeitos sociais (Governo, Movimentos Sociais e Poder Legislativo) com diferentes matrizes formativas de cunho pol?tico, econ?mico, social, cultural e ideol?gico que possibilitou interlocu??es entre os sujeitos e objeto de estudo, exigindo assim uma abordagem cr?tica que buscasse em determinado lugar e tempo hist?rico o fundamento do processo. Optou-se pela entrevista semi-estruturada, por permitir maior liberdade tanto ao pesquisador, quanto ao entrevistado, de contribuir para o desenvolvimento do tema proposto, atrav?s da sua forma de apreender a realidade em que vive. A observa??o participante da elabora??o, execu??o e avalia??o do OP e a consulta aos documentos que retrataram a sua implementa??o tiveram car?ter complementar. Foi feitas a an?lise vertical e horizontal dos dados coletados pelas entrevistas, e triangula??o com a observa??o participante e os documentos, contemplando as m?ltiplas dimens?es do processo investigativo, na descri??o, explica??o e compreens?o do foco em estudo. Teve-se como objetivo analisar o processo de implementa??o do OP em Alagoinhas-BA, no per?odo 2001/2005, discutir a participa??o dos diferentes sujeitos sociais (Classe Pol?tica e Sociedade Civil), na constru??o do OP como instrumento pedag?gico de cidadania, e apontar as articula??es entre as demandas da sa?de e o OP. Se no in?cio prevaleceu interesse corporativo na defini??o de prioridades de cada comunidade, posteriormente os aspectos coletivos foram mais valorizados. O governo foi "blindado" pelo trabalho do OP, ao se conseguir aprovar 84 dos 86 projetos enviados ? C?mara Municipal que fora contr?ria ao processo durante 2001/2004. O OP representou um caminho para as camadas populares conquistarem importante espa?o no Pode Local. O OP demonstrou ser um instrumento pedag?gico de cidadania. Contudo, urge maior investimento na qualifica??o dos conselheiros do OP .

Esse estudo avaliou a influência da aplicação de uma resina específica para reprodução da junção amelo-dentinária (JAD) nas propriedades ópticas de restaurações com compósitos. Blocos de resina com 4mm de espessura, formados por 3 discos de resina correspondentes ao esmalte vestibular, dentina e esmalte palatal, foram confeccionados. Esses blocos foram divididos em 2 grupos, de acordo com a resina composta utilizada para sua confecção: grupo A (n=30), resina Vit-l-escence (Ultradent) e grupo B (n=30), resina 4 Seasons (Ivoclar Vivadent). Cada grupo foi subdividido em 5 subgrupos (n=6), de acordo com a reprodução ou não da JAD: subgrupo 1, sem reprodução da JAD; subgrupo 2, reprodução da JAD vestibular (V) com DE Connector (Ultradent); subgrupo 3, reprodução da JAD V e Palatina (P) com DE Connector; subgrupo 4, reprodução da JAD V com Single Bond (3M ESPE); e subgrupo 5, reprodução da JAD V e P com Single Bond. Os corpos-de-prova foram analisados no espectrofotômetro para avaliação da reflexão, luminosidade (coordenada L*) e fluorescência. Os resultados foram submetidos ao teste estatístico de análise de variância, teste de Tukey e Kruskal Wallis. Os valores de reflexão e L* aumentaram quando o DE Connector foi aplicado, sem diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os subgrupos A2 e A3; e B2 e B3. Os valores de fluorescência não foram influenciados pela aplicação do DE Connector. A reprodução da junção amelo-dentinária vestibular, através da aplicação do DE Connector, é suficiente para alterar as propriedades ópticas das restaurações dos compósitos, elevando a reflexão 13 e luminosidade. Entretanto, o adesivo Single Bond, não reproduziu as propriedades ópticas da JAD, e, portanto, não deve ser utilizado para essa finalidade.

ZusammenfassungDie Frontotemporale Demenz ist eine von sehr unterschiedlichen früh beginnenden und seltenen Demenzformen, die die betroffenen Menschen und ihre Familien oft unerwartet und radikal vor große, das Leben verändernde Herausforderungen stellt. Trotz zunehmender Forschungsaktivitäten und Aufmerksamkeit in der Fachöffentlichkeit für die Lebenssituation von Menschen mit Demenz jenseits der Alzheimer-Symptomatik gibt es eine Reihe von Versorgungslücken, die es zu schließen gilt. Eine davon ist die Unterstützung und Beratung von Angehörigen in der Bewältigung des gemeinsamen Alltags. Am Beispiel der Machbarkeitsstudie AMEO-FTD wird vorgestellt, welche Potenziale Videofeedback für Menschen mit der verhaltensbetonten Variante der Frontotemporalen Demenz und ihre Bezugspersonen für den Aufbau einer gelingenden Interaktions- und Beziehungsgestaltung haben kann. Anschließend werden literaturbasiert weitere Empfehlungen für Forschung und Praxis gegeben.

Extended reality (XR) technologies, particularly those derived from virtual reality (VR), offer promising alternatives in so far as they foster new social contexts that must be analyzed and systematized. The virtual world-centered Metaverse began to spotlight educational and social interaction, with possibilities to break the boundaries between real-world and virtual spaces that help escape from isolation constraints. The necessity for alternative solutions became evident in times of isolation, where physical interactions were limited. In July 2021, during the restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, researchers from the University of Porto in Portugal created a virtual event called “Surviving a Ph.D: Tec and Arts Experiences,” aimed at helping doctoral students face the challenges of conducting lengthy and sometimes solitary investigations. The emotional problem related to the isolation of investigators was already evident in previous research, and the pandemic scenario served as an even greater warning to professionals such as scientists, in which alternative contact solutions are very welcome. To achieve the purpose, a three-dimensional virtual environment was developed, among other things, that allowed providing, in addition to presentations and discussion panels, an immersive experience to promote an instance of dialogue and discussion around the problems that occurred in doctoral programs. Attendees were invited to participate in scheduled activities in an environment developed in Mozilla Hubs, a web open-source platform that allows creating multi-user virtual spaces under a first-person game mechanic. The scenarios produced (also called rooms) sought to reflect the idea of isolation by incorporating the imaginary of four interconnected islands, which were developed in the Spoke editor provided by Mozilla. These islands housed a particular activity in a specific virtual space (Lobby, Conference Area, Culture and Leisure, and Food for thought area). Likewise, the participants had to choose an avatar with which they could visit the facilities provided for the event. The results showed that, unlike those platforms that we could consider linear, such as Zoom, Google Meet, or even YouTube, where interactions occur sequentially, virtual environments promote group relationships that can occur simultaneously and asynchronously. Likewise, positive effects were observed in the registered impressions of concurrent visitors from twenty-three countries worldwide from five continents, who evaluated the rooms as modern, innovative, fun, and friendly. In this article, we expose the antecedents, the methodology, and the results of this experience to contribute to the systematized knowledge around these new information technologies that, from the Metaverse, invite us to rethink ourselves as social beings.

Condition being studied: Vascular dementia is the second most common cause of dementia and a major health concern worldwide, only after to Alzheimer's disease. As the increasing aging of the global population, the number of vascular dementia patients is expected to increase year by year, which will bring great economic burden to all countries in the world. In recent years, more and more published RCT studies have shown that butylphthalide can further improve behavioral ability and dementia symptoms in vascular dementia patients based on donepezil treatment. Our study aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of butylphthalide combined with donepezil in the treatment of vascular dementia through meta-analysis, providing an objective and scientific reference for the clinical use of butylphthalide.
