As narrativas de um evento de extrema violência elaboram um entendimento sobre uma experiência limite. É seguindo os fios tecidos pelas narrativas do Massacre do Carandiru, à luz da contribuição de autoras, como Veena Das (1999; 2007; 2011) e Carruthers (2011), que busco compreender as maneiras pelas quais sobreviventes do Massacre do Carandiru reconstruíram a experiência cotidiana e elaboraram memoriais sobre os mortos. Tendo como base de análise os livros Sobrevivente André Du Rap (do Massacre do Carandiru) (2001), de André Du Rap e Bruno Zeni, e Pavilhão 9 – Paixão e Morte no Carandiru (2002), de Hosmany Ramos, volumes que trazem a público narrativas do Massacre, realizou-se uma análise das narrativas produzidas a partir de uma etnografia da violência, de forma a buscar compreender os modos pelos quais foram elaboradas e os sentidos que carregam consigo, elaborando entendimentos pautados pela noção de experiência.

As an odd case of urbanism Vila Nova de Santo André is the only city built from scratch in Portugal in the XX century, without any urban pre-existence. Conceived by political decision and framed by an ambitious industrial project, the Port of Sines, Vila Nova is located in an area of extensive pine forests, between Sines and Lagoa de St. André. Created in 1971 the Office of the Area of Sines (GAS) was the administrative body responsible for planning and implementing the different components of the project. Endowed with enormous expertise knowledge and economic resources, the enterprise suffered a significant setback with the 1973 international oil crisis and thereafter with the 25th April, 1974 Revolution. Political hesitations, setbacks and abandonment marked the entire Sines project until the GAS extinction in 1986. The main intention of this essay is to confront and reposition the negativeness of Santo André new town. Perceived as a failure and a lost opportunity, the lack of knowledge that supports this prejudice stems from the absence of a critical and reflective mass, whether in the form of academic research or artistic expression. The paper intends to confront and discuss archive historical photographs from different phases of construction of the city and its surrounding landscape, with recent photographs. This visual atlas, as an unfinished, inorganic and impure edifice, join and relates the photographs as fragments. It follows the line of reasoning of Walter Benjamin on the political potential of the outmoded as a subject matter.

Summary Toward the end of his life, Zellig Harris (1909–1992) wrote a brief account of the origins and development of his work to establish the foundations of a science of language on mathematical principles. A French translation was published in 1990, and in the same publication appeared a parallel appraisal from a mathematical point of view by André Lentin (1913–2015). Early the following year, having reread Lentin’s essay several times, Harris wrote him the letter which is presented here. More than a gesture of thanks and appreciation, this letter further illuminates the comprehensive overview afforded by the two essays, both of which appeared in English in 2002.

O terceiro número de 2015 traz os Planos de Empreendimentos elaborados por alunos do curso de MBA em Gestão Empreendedora do ano de 2015. Desta forma, continuamos com o estímulo às publicações na linha de Educação e Empreendedorismo. Nesta edição, os planos contemplam diferentes áreas do ensino, com propostas para transformar a realidade escolar. O primeiro projeto Gestão Participativa: o caminho para qualidade de Maria Isabel Machado Ferraz, tem como objetivo proporcionar um envolvimento dos alunos, professores e funcionários para alcançar a qualidade do trabalho da Escola Amélia dos Santos Junqueira, em Ribeirão Preto. No projeto Oficina de Leitura, Interpretação e Produção Textual, o segundo projeto desta edição, Arlete de Cássia O. Pereira Fabris, do Centro Educacional SESI 342 ( Jardinópolis/SP), propõe o uso da leitura como base para superação das dificuldades dos alunos, e o impacto na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa e das demais áreas de conhecimento No terceiro trabalho Elâine Aparecida Herrera Moreira, da Escola SESI Santo André (Santo André – SP), apresenta o plano de empreendimento Matemática: entre possibilidades e descobertas buscando alternativas para melhorar o desempenho dos alunos em matemática a partir da construção de novos espaços de aprendizagem. Com o mesmo objetivo de melhoraria do ensino de matemática, o quarto trabalho deste número intitulado Matemática em vídeoaulas, de Giselle Lotto Neves, apresenta o uso de novas tecnologias da informação para estimular o protagonismo estudantil a partir de desafios e produção de videoaulas. O projeto foi idealizado para a Escola Estadual Milliet da Costa e Silva, localizada em Santo André (SP). O quinto Plano de Empreendimento, Oficina de Jogos Teatrais, de Karla Elisa Armellini, apresenta uma proposta para trabalhar a leitura e a escrita a partir de diferentes discussões e atividades multidisciplinares na E.E.Prof. Antonio Nascimento, em São Bernardo do Campo. No projeto, os alunos irão participar de oficinas de iniciação teatral, de atividades de aprendizagem colaborativa e na elaboração de uma espetáculo teatral. Finalizamos esta edição com o projeto Vivenciando o prazer da leitura, de Mariangela Tschisar. Esse plano de empreendimento tem o objetivo de melhorar o desempenho dos alunos da E. E. Prof. Didio da Silveira Baldy (São Paulo/SP) em português e matemática, a partir do estímulo a leitura e desenvolvimento das habilidades de escrita e interpretação de texto.

L’assaig «De la influència en literatura» d’André Gide defensa l’estímul que representa pera un creador i per a una literatura el contacte amb altres manifestacions artístiques. Es tracta del primer text de l’escriptor francès traduït al català, publicat el 1900 a Pèl & Ploma. En el tombant de segle francès, l’anomenat debat sobre nacionalisme i literatura comprenia algunes veus reticents a la importació de literatura estrangera. En el text editat, Gide s’oposa a aquestes prevencions. En el context del modernisme català, els propòsits de regeneració i europeïtzació que perseguia el moviment, bastits en bona mesura sobre la incorporació de literatures foranes sovint a través de la traducció, contrasten amb les tensions existents en el camp literari francès, moltes vegades vinculades a posicions polítiques en pugna.

ZusammenfassungWenn Freihandel und Wettbewerb zusammenspielen, können sich die Länder am ehesten auf das spezialisieren, was sie am besten können. Alle gewinnen. Doch die protektionistische Verlockung ist groß, die eigene Wirtschaft auf Kosten anderer zu schützen. Dem soll die WTO einen Riegel vorschieben, indem sie Importzölle und andere Handelsbeschränkungen weltweit abbaut. Doch der Einfallsreichtum der Protektionisten kennt keine Grenzen. Sie weichen unter anderem auf Exportbeschränkungen aus. Kann es protektionistisch sein, den Export einzelner Branchen zu behindern und damit den Markt anderen Ländern zu überlassen? Der Schachzug besteht darin, mit Export- und Absatzbeschränkungen den Preis in dieser Branche zu drücken und damit die heimischen Vorleistungen für die eigentlich strategisch wichtigen Branchen zu verbilligen! Auch damit kann man den Schlüsselbranchen auf dem Weltmarkt einen unfairen Wettbewerbsvorteil verschaffen. Die kulturwissenschaftlichen Ansätze der letzten Jahrzehnte, insbesondere der new historicism, wie ihn am prominentesten Stephen Greenblatt vertreten hat, haben dazu geführt, dass Texte zusammen gelesen werden, die zuvor nicht in eine Lektürekonstellation gerückt wurden. Basis von Greenblatts Neuansatz in der Literarhistoriographie ist eine radikale Interdisziplinarität, die sowohl literarische als auch nicht-literarische, kanonisierte wie stigmatisierte Texte miteinschließt. Mittels einer Vernetzung mit anderen gleichzeitig entstandenen Dokumenten werden die literarischen Texte rekontextualisiert. Wir verstehen die literarischen Texte dann deshalb anders, weil wir sie auf andere Texte und andere Kontexte beziehen. Nun lassen sich solche Kontextualisierungen nicht nur synchron, sondern auch diachron vornehmen. Das soll am Beispiel von Kellers Seldwyler Novelle »Der Schmied seines Glückes« herausgearbeitet werden.

ZusammenfassungSich auf andere Akteure epistemisch zu stützen, gehört zu unseren elementaren epistemischen Verhaltensweisen. Wer sich nur auf seine eigenen Sinne und sein eigenes Schlussfolgerungsvermögen stützen müsste, wäre zu einem wesentlich beschränkteren epistemischen Leben verdammt (wobei fraglich ist, ob der komplette Verzicht auf das Sich-Stützen auf andere eine auch nur mögliche Option wäre – immerhin dürfte das Kleinkind unweigerlich darauf angewiesen sein, verschiedenste Informationen von anderen Personen einfach ungeprüft zu übernehmen). Niemand hat auch nur ansatzweise das insgesamt verfügbare Wissen zur Verfügung, und in sehr vielen Fällen haben wir nur die Möglichkeit, andere zu fragen oder anderweitig auf von anderen bereitgestellte Informationen zurückzugreifen.

Axel Seemann widmet sich in diesem Beitrag der Frage, wie die Erfahrung der Einsamkeit zu erklären ist. Er arbeitet ein zentrales Problem für die Einsamkeitsforschung heraus. Es besteht darin, die Rolle bestimmter anderer Personen in der Einsamkeitserfahrung des betroffenen Menschen verständlich zu machen. Seemann argumentiert, dass diese Rolle über das soziale Selbstverständnis der einsamen Person bestimmt wird. Seinem Ansatz zufolge ist dieses Selbstverständnis in einem normativen Modell begründet, das die Person von sich in ihrem sozialen Umfeld hat und das sie mit ihrer als tatsächlich wahrgenommenen Umwelt vergleicht. Dieses Modell bildet unter anderem gewünschte Verhältnisse zu bestimmten anderen Personen ab. Diskrepanzen zwischen dem Modell und der sozialen Wirklichkeit, wie sie von der Person erlebt wird, erklären dann das Gefühl der Einsamkeit.

ZusammenfassungDer hier in einem Auszug edierte Text von Hans Reichenbach hat schon vor über vier Jahrzehnten einige Aufmerksamkeit erfahren, als er 1974 von Ulrich Linse ausführlich diskutiert und vier Jahre später von Maria Reichenbach in Übersetzung in Reichenbachs Selected Writings 1909–1953 aufgenommen wurde. Ein Jahr davor hatte sich Andreas Kamlah im Anhang seiner deutschsprachigen Edition von Reichenbachs The Rise of Scientific Philosophy (1951) auf diesen Text bezogen. Sein ursprünglicher Erscheinungsort war ein drei Aufsätze umfassender Band, den Reichenbach gemeinsam mit den Autoren der anderen beiden Beiträge, Hermann Kranold (1888–1942) und Carl Landauer (1891–1983), ediert und als Vorbereitung des 13. Freistudententages im Mai 1913 publiziert hat. Der spätere Wirtschaftswissenschaftler Carl Landauer war seit 1912 Mitglied der SPD. Kranold, der Medizin und Nationalökonomie studierte, trat ebenfalls 1912 in die SPD ein und arbeitete 1919 unter anderem mit Otto Neurath die Sozialisierungsprogramme für Sachsen und Bayern aus.

Resumen: Desde final de los años 30, la formulación de una nueva sensibilidad cultural, tecnológica y política hacia el clima, entendido en un sentido amplio, replanteó la relación entre el cuerpo humano y su entorno. El presente artículo confronta la obra de Le Corbusier ante dicha hipótesis de evolución del paradigma higienista previo. A partir de una investigación original en los archivos de la Fondation Le Corbusier, el objeto principal es el estudio de los intercambios teóricos y los aportes técnicos entre el arquitecto y André Missenard. El ingeniero, referente en el entorno científico, industrial y político de la época, resulta una pieza clave para entender la relevancia de la dimensión ambiental del hábitat propugnado por Le Corbusier durante los años 50. En particular, este trabajo aborda tanto los métodos de ideación (Grille Climatique) como su materialización espacial, técnica y sensorial (Unités d’habitation y Maison du Brésil). Las conclusiones del artículo muestran la evolución de los postulados habitacionales de Le Corbusier, que partiendo de la “Ville Radieuse”, acabó por integrar las ideas de la “Science des climats artificiels” en el proyecto arquitectónico, buscando “Rétablir les conditions nature” en el hábitat moderno. Abstract: Since the late-1930s, the emergence of a renewed cultural, technological and political approach towards the notion of climate reformulated the relationship between bodies and their milieux. This article analyses the works of Le Corbusier through the lens of this hypothesis of the hygienist paradigm’s evolution. Based on an original research at the archives of the Fondation Le Corbusier, this paper focuses on the theoretical discussions and the technical collaboration of the architect with André Missenard. This engineer, a key figure in the scientific, industrial and political environment of his time, played a main role to understand the relevance of the ambient dimension in Le Corbusier’s housing proposals in the 1950s. In particular, this paper deals with the design methods (Grille Climatique), as well as their spatial, technical and sensory materialization (Unités d'habitation and Maison du Brésil). The conclusions of the article show the evolution of Le Corbusier’s postulates, which beginning from his early proposal for the “Ville Radieuse”, managed to integrate the contributions of the “Science des climats artificiels” in architectural design looking for “Rétablir les conditions nature” in modern housing. Obwohl der Beitrag des Metropoliten von Pergamon John Zizioulas zur Entwicklung der ökumenischen Beziehungen enorm war, hat dieser Aspekt seines theologischen Werkes noch keine zufriedenstellende Re- zeption erfahren und wurde auch nicht ausreichend erforscht. In dieser Arbeit werden seine Positionen zu den grundlegenden Voraussetzungen für die Beteiligung der Orthodoxen Kirche an der ökumenischen Bewe- gung zusammengefasst (unter anderem: Annahme oder Ablehnung der Teilnahme am ökumenischen Dialog, kanonische Grenzen der Kirche, Anerkennung der Taufe anderer Christen, ekklesiologische Bedeutung des Weltkirchenrates, konfessioneller Zugang zur Theologie)

Oberflächengewässer leisten einen grossen Beitrag an die Energieversorgung der Schweiz. In erster Linie denkt man dabei an die Wasserkraft, die mehr als die Hälfte der Elektrizität erzeugt und im Rahmen der Energiestrategie 2050 weiter ausgebaut wird. Oberflächengewässer dienen aber auch zur Kühlung von Kernkraftwerken oder anderer Infrastruktur, und zunehmend werden sie als erneuerbare Energiequelle zum Heizen von Gebäuden verwendet. Alle diese Nutzungen verändern die Gewässertemperatur. Gleichzeitig ist die Temperatur eine Schlüsselgrösse für die Gewässerökosysteme, deren Veränderung sich auf vielfältige Weise auf die Organismen in den Gewässern auswirkt. Sie wird zudem neben der Energienutzung auch durch andere menschliche Einflüsse verändert, vor allem durch den fortschreitenden Klimawandel. Bei Energienutzungen, die zu einer zusätzlichen Erwärmung der Gewässer führen, ist deshalb besondere Vorsicht geboten.

In recent years, the core physics code ANDREA has been significantly improved and its capabilities were vastly extended. The code implementation has been overhauled to more modern, object-oriented and modular architecture. The code structure was adapted to allow use of multiple different neutronics solvers and to tackle various spatial and energy discretization models. The data library formats and processing workflow have been completely generalized, and different transport codes (e.g. HELIOS, SERPENT or SCALE) can be used to prepare several-group cross-section libraries for ANDREA. The new version of the code has gone through extensive validation both on the benchmarks and experimental data. The modular architecture of ANDREA code allow for its ongoing development. Currently we focus on coupling of ANDREA code with TRANSURANUS code.

Subject of the article’s study – ecumenism of Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytskyi and reflection of this phenomenon in the works of scientists and modern Ukrainian media. Main objective of the study: analyze what Ukrainian scientists, journalists and different media are writing about Sheptytkyi’s ecumenism. Methodology: We used a bibliographic method to accumulate factual material, a qualitative content analysis to isolate the ideas of ecumenism from the journalism of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, a cultural-historical method that made it possible to consider the ideas of ecumenism in the context of the era, the connection with the historical context, as well as methods of synthesis and generalization, induction and deduction. The study process description: In our scientific article, we analyzed the doctoral dissertation of His Beatitude Lubomyr Huzar entitled «Andrei Sheptytskyi, Metropolitan of Halytskyi (1901-1944). Herald of ecumenism». His Beatitude Lubomyr defended this fundamental work at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome back in 1972. Therefore, we observed how this work reflects the historical prerequisites, features and development of Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism, who, according to His Beatitude Lubomir, was a kind of innovator in this field, a person who was ahead of his time. We also analyzed the reflections on the ecumenism of Sheptytskyi´s father, doctor Ivan Datsk, which are reflected in his book «In Search of Faithfulness and Truth». In addition, we turned to the scientific text «Ecumenism of Sheptytskyi» by professors Mykola Vegesh and Mykola Palinchak. Subsequently, it was analyzed how the scientific work became a useful basis for the coverage of Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism in the press. In particular, in the columns of the cultural and social site «Zbruch» in Diana Motruk’s article «In Search of Church Unity». We also turned to the «Spiritual Greatness of Lviv» website, where in 2020 an interview with Mykhailo Perun, who shot the film «Sheptytskyi: Relevant information», was published, illustrating the ecumenical initiatives of this figure. In addition, we analyzed the publication on Radio Svoboda for 2022, dedicated to the anniversary of Sheptytsky’s stepping into eternity. It is also mentioned there about of Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism as his landmark activity. Subsequently, we found an article on the website «Christian and the World», where in a conversation with the scientist Dr. Andrii Sorokovskyi entitled «Andrei Sheptytskyi believed that the union is a synthesis, communion and dialogue between the East and the West, – Andrii Sorokovskyi» also analyzed the phenomenon of Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism. Results: we discovered that Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism was studied not only by numerous scientists, but this meaningful legacy of his is a valuable phenomenon for media coverage. Therefore, Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism becomes the subject of interest of journalists not only of publications that write mainly on church topics, but also socio-political and artistic ones. We are sure that Sheptytskyi’s ecumenism will continue to be studied by professional scientists and representatives of the wider media community. Significance: journalism of a religious orientation, high-quality and substantiated coverage of religious processes and phenomena in the press is still something quite new for modern Ukraine. In Soviet times, journalists were afraid to write about religion in order not to incur the wrath of the authorities, so such materials could not be included in the press. That is why it is very important to study how today’s journalists cover important issues of religion, which, in addition, have a strong scientific basis. In addition, the development of ecumenism and religious unity are extremely important for building national unity, which is necessary for our state to effectively confront the enemy in full-scale war. En tillid til at vi vil det bedste for vores naboer og for byen – og at vi kan gøre det, vi siger. Og hvis vi ikke kan det, så bliver vi klogere undervejs og ændrer det til det bedre.” ”... et alternativt rum for unge mennesker, som er trygt at være i, som bygger på feministiske normer som safe space og idealer om ligeværd og tryghed, som man kan have svært ved at finde i andre konstellationer.” Disse udtalelser fra brugere er indsamlet i danske kultur- huse og andre borgerinddragende kulturinstitutioner. Men hvad betyder kulturhusene? Hvilken rolle spiller deres rum? Hvilke brugere har de? Og hvilke deltagelsesformer praktiseres? De spørgsmål behandles i denne rapport, som er et resultat af et omfangsrigt kvalitativt studie i 28 kulturhuse.
