With the development of the Internet economy, computer games have developed rapidly in recent years. At the same time, with the increasing prosperity of computer games, many infringement problems have also arisen. The concept and classification of computer games and computer game live broadcasts, as well as computer game screens and computer game live broadcasts need to be distinguished. The article lists common problems in the computer game live broadcast industry, which are mainly manifested in the unclear copyright identification and attribution of computer game live broadcasts, and the unclear legal status of the relevant subjects in the computer game live broadcast. It is concluded that whether the computer game live broadcast is a work needs to be specifically defined in conjunction with the live broadcast content. And further put forward suggestions to improve my country’s related protection system of computer game copyright, and promote the development of computer game live broadcast industry.

Background/Objectives: Major Terrestrial broadcasters, MSO (Multi-System Operator), IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) Operators have been putting effort to prevent the transmission stops such as transmission interruption.Methods/Statistical analysis: The main and spare signals of the digital broadcasting are monitored. If a problem occurs in the main signal, it automatically switched to a preliminary signal, preventing a broadcast accident before a failover switch is performed.In this paper, we propose a method that can automatically switch signal to minimize the resulting impacts on a broadcasting accident caused by a disconnection from the input or an accident from the network. Digital broadcasts transmission abides by MPEG-2 (Moving Picture Expert Group) TS (Transport Stream) standardization.Findings: This paper proposes a method to maintain the quality of broadcast such as transmission interruption within ETSI TR 101 290 (European Telecommunications Standards Institute Technical Report) standardization. Furthermore, with this proposed method, it would be possible to minimize the error from an automatically transferred stream that sent from the emergency link within ETSI TR 101 290 standardization.Improvements/Applications: A method for preventing broadcast transmission accidents

Abstract - A television station is a technology or communication media that displays both audio and visual broadcasts, both black and full color. The number of television stations currently makes fierce competition between television stations to innovate in making broadcasts that attract public attention to get highest rating But often because they want to pursue a rating, many television stations are less concerned about the quality of the broadcasts they display. Decision support system is a system that can be used as a tool to determine station quality television in displaying the broadcast. Data analysis is done by comparing television stations in Indonesia, namely the assessment is taken based on the level of educative, innovative, and human resources (television crew) contained in each television station. The results of the AHP method analysis are helpful conclusions people to know the best television stations as public consumption which tends to need information, knowledge and entertainment. Abstract The Asia-Pacific GNSS Test Bed is a regional collaborative programme that brings together aviation practitioners in the field of satellite navigation within the Asia-Pacific to study the performance of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and to develop a regional plan that will lead to a successful implementation of GNSS in the region. The program is a work program under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation GNSS Implementation Team (APEC GIT), a working group under the APEC. The Test Bed has been in operation since August 2006. The system architecture reflects hybrid architecture between a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) and a ground-based augmentation system (GBAS). Test reference stations (TRSs), consisted of a dual-frequency GPS receiver, a communication interface, and a data archival hardware, have been installed in the participating economies. GPS data collected at the TRSs will be transmitted to the test master station (TMS) in Bangkok, Thailand. SBAS messages will be generated and the messages will be broadcasted through a test VHF station (TVS). A test user platform (TUP) will receive GPS signal and the SBAS messages broadcast from TVS and then calculate and archive the TUP’s positions. This paper discusses performance analysis and flight test results conducted in Thailand in September 2007. During flight trials, noting that the Test Bed broadcasts SBAS messages through a VHF data link (VDL) similar to that of GBAS, the impacts of VHF broadcast, such as transmitting power, terrain effects, and impacts of different aircraft attitudes and positions are analysed. Preliminary analysis result indicates that, while the GBAS VDL coverage is very good through out the 30nm airport terminal area, during approach, and even during taxi, considerations should be given to levels of transmitting power to eliminate possible intermittent loss of VHF messages received by the aircraft receiver. This intermittent loss of VHF messages results in very strong fluctuation of horizontal protection levels (HPL) and vertical protection levels (VPL) calculated by the TUP. To yield with possible problem, windowing techniques are proposed and analysed.

With the development of the live broadcast industry, security issues in the live broadcast process have become increasingly apparent. At present, the supervision of various live broadcast platforms is basically in a state of human supervision. Manpower supervision is mainly through user reporting and platform supervision measures. However, there are a large number of live broadcast rooms at the same time, and only relying on human supervision can no longer meet the monitoring needs of live broadcasts. Based on this situation, this study proposes a violation information recognition method of a live-broadcasting platform based on machine learning technology. By analyzing the similarities and differences between normal live broadcasts and violation live broadcasts, combined with the characteristics of violation image data, this study mainly detects human skin color and sensitive parts. A prominent feature of violation images is that they contain a large area of naked skin, and the ratio of the area of naked skin to the overall image area of the violation image will exceed the threshold. Skin color recognition plays a role in initial target positioning. The accuracy of skin color recognition is directly related to the recognition accuracy of the entire system, so skin color recognition is the most important part of violation information recognition. Although there are many effective skin color recognition technologies, the accuracy and stability of skin color recognition still need to be improved due to the influence of various external factors, such as light intensity, light source color, and physical equipment. When it is detected that the area of the skin color in the live screen exceeds the threshold, it is preliminarily determined to be a suspected violation video. In order to improve the recognition accuracy, it is necessary to detect sensitive parts of the suspected video. Naked female breasts are a very obvious feature in violation images. This study uses a chest feature extraction method to detect the chest in the image. When the recognition result is a violation image, it is determined that the live broadcast involves violation content. The machine learning algorithm is simple to implement, and the parameters are easy to adjust. The classifier training requires a short time and is suitable for live violation information recognition scenarios. The experimental results on the adopted data set show that the method used in this article can effectively detect videos with violation content. The recognition rate is as high as 85.98%, which is suitable for a real-life environment and has good practical significance.

At present, Global Position System (GPS) navigation ephemeris mainly broadcasts satellite orbits with meter-level precision for standard point positioning and precise relative positioning. With the rapid development of real-time precise point positioning (PPP), the receiver or smartphone has begun to demand more and more convenient, continuous, and reliable access to real-time services of precise orbits. Therefore, this study proposes a solution of utilizing the 18-parameter ephemeris to directly broadcast ultra-rapid precise predicted orbits with centimeter-level precision for real-time PPP. For the first time in GPS, the difference in the PPP results between the precise orbits and the calculated orbits broadcasted from the generated ephemeris parameters is supplied as follows: (1) During the validity period of 2 h, root mean square (RMS) of the relative distance offsets between the results of PPP with the precise orbits and the results of PPP the 18-parameter ephemeris is only 0.0098 m. (2) Within 15 min after the validity period of 2 h, RMS of the relative distance offsets between the results of PPP with the precise orbits and the results of PPP with the predicted orbits by 18-parameter ephemeris is only 0.0057 m. Consequently, the 18-parameter ephemeris is feasible and advisable to broadcast precise predicted orbits for real-time PPP applications. Compared with the classic precise orbits broadcast mode with the orbit corrections defined by the radio technical commission for maritime services standards 10403.2 (RTCM), the mode of broadcasting the precise orbits with the 18-parameter ephemeris achieved the following improvements in convenience, continuity, and reliability: (1) The calculation of satellite position is the same as that of the navigation ephemeris excluding the additional correction operations required to the RTCM; (2) the amount of broadcast parameters was reduced by 20 times; (3) the length of the validity period was expanded 120 times, where the longer valid period helped to overcome the orbit corrections loss caused by RTCM stream failures; and (4) within 15 min after the validity period, the predicted orbits with an accuracy of 2 cm could still be provided by the 18-parameter ephemeris, which can ensure the real-time services of precise orbits in the case of a 15 min communication interruption of the RTCM orbit correction data stream.

A problem of broadcasting system in Indonesia, radio broadcasts in particular, lies in its insignificant contribution to strengthening the local identity, albeit the power of radio that is on the proximity of the media and its audiences. Local identity seems to fade away nowadays and being left behind by its community, whereas it has the power to shape the national identity, especially for young generation. This article examines a constellation of radio broadcasts in strengthening local identity. This study uses a qualitative method of case study with subject’s research of private mainstream broadcast radio in West Java. The research result finds that institutional owners have difficulties to balance commercial interests and editorial side since the radio needs to go forward in the industry and gain profits, but on the other side is "chained" by prevailing regulations and idealism. This is the reason why radio needs to advance in technology, contents, and human resources and also follows the trends. Implementation on program/content of broadcast is based on the spirit to undertake the local potential, but the change in listeners’ state demands the radio manager to transforms local culture in such a way to be accepted by those listeners. Contents are focused on values and characters, while the packaging remains the present. The dominance of media conglomeration in broadcasting industry hampered the development of local radio.

Internet of Vehicle (IoV) is playing an increasingly important role in constructing an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) of safety, efficiency, and green. Safety applications such as emergency warning and collision avoidance require high reliability and timeliness for data transmission. In order to address the problems of slow response and local broadcast storm commonly existing among waiting-based relay schemes of emergency messages, a local topology information sensing technology-based broadcast (LISCast) protocol is proposed in this paper, making use of the advantage of probability-based forwarding scheme in redundancy inhibition. According to the beacon broadcasted periodically between vehicles, LISCast collects information about number and distribution of neighbor, from which the characteristic information such as effective candidate number, maximum forwarding distance, and global traffic density are extracted. Through embedding the characteristic information into the head of broadcast packets by the message sender for assisting in making relay decision, the alternative receivers uniformly schedule forwarding priorities in a distributed and adaptive way. LISCast works without the help of a roadside unit and generates a little more overhead. The simulation results show that LISCast improves the ability to adapt to dynamic topology by optimizing the performance of delay, redundancy, and broadcast efficiency upon the condition of satisfying the high level of transmission reliability.

At present, the LED electronic display is widely applied in each kind of public area to announce all kinds of information. So it can make people feel facility, it can also expand the information audience.Display broadcast information needs regular replacement, and the methods are varied. In many cities,the present displays which are set up in the intersections of streets are quite scattered, and away from each others, so only the artificial update method is adopted. However, this approach relatively consumes more manpower and material resource. On the other hand it would cost much more time so that the information could not be broadcasted in time. A new idea of the information updating based on SMS (Short Messaging Service) is proposed in this paper. The GSM modems are all installed in controllers of the control center and the display terminals, and the GSM modems are controlled by the embedded software system to send and receive the message via AT commands. Therefore, the control center could send the updating information as SMS to all of display terminals in this way, and the terminals replace old information and broadcast the new information as soon as they received the news. This approach not only saves the manpower and the material resource, but also makes it possible to increase the information betimes.

The specification of the DVB-I standard contains a list of TV services equipped for compatibility with Internet devices, methods for transmitting electronic data; as well as functions that allow devices connected to the Internet to find the necessary collections of linear services that can be received via the Internet or broadcast. The proposed system is quite simple and has a convenient single interface. Using the new standard, and having stable access to the Internet, the user can watch TV online on any device that has a media player.

BackgroundParacetamol self-poisoning, which carries a significant risk of fatal liver damage, is increasing in the UK, especially among adolescents. There is concern that media portrayal of suicidal behaviour may influence its occurrence. We have investigated the effects of two broadcasts of a television drama showing a teenage girl's overdose of paracetamol.MethodData from the Oxford Monitoring System for Attempted Suicide were used to examine changes in the number of overdoses and the use of paracetamol in the three week period before and after both broadcasts. An analysis of log-linear models was carried out, using additional data from two previous years, in order to control for the effects of gender, age group, time period, season, year and drug. A questionnaire was used to ascertain whether the programme had influenced patients' decisions to take an overdose or their choice of drug.ResultsAn increase in paracetamol overdoses occurred following the first broadcast, but when data from the two previous years were examined and the log-linear analysis was used there was no evidence of significant effects attributable to the broadcasts. The questionnaire study revealed that very few people had seen either episode, and only two claimed that it had influenced them (one in terms of getting help).ConclusionsIt is important to use sound methodology to avoid interpreting chance fluctuations as a media effect. The potential positive benefits of such programmes should also be investigated.

The development of the BeiDou navigation system (BDS) is divided into three phases: The demonstration system (BDS-1), the regional system (BDS-2) and the global BeiDou navigation system (BDS-3). At present, the construction of the global BeiDou navigation system (BDS-3) constellation network is progressing very smoothly. The signal design and functionality of BDS-3 are different from those of BDS-1 and BDS-2. The BDS-3 satellite not only broadcasts B1I (1561.098 MHz) and B3I (1268.52 MHz) signals but also broadcasts new signals B1C (1575.42 MHz) and B2a (1176.45 MHz). In this work, six tracking stations of the international GNSS monitoring and assessment system (iGMAS) were selected, and 41 consecutive days of observation data, were collected. To fully exploit the code observations of BDS-2 and BDS-3, the time group delay (TGD) correction model of BDS-2 and BDS-3 are described in detail. To further verify the efficacy of the broadcast TGD parameters in the broadcast ephemeris, the standard point positioning (SPP) of all the signals from BDS-2 and BDS-3 with and without TGD correction was studied. The experiments showed that the B1I SPP accuracy of BDS-2 was increased by approximately 50% in both the horizontal and vertical components, and B1I/B3I were improved by approximately 70% in the horizontal component and 47.4% in the vertical component with TGD correction. The root mean square (RMS) value of B1I and B1C from BDS-3 with TGD correction was enhanced by approximately 60%–70% in the horizontal component and by approximately 50% in the vertical component. The B2a-based SPP was increased by 60.2% and 64.4% in the east and north components, respectively, and the up component was increased by approximately 19.8%. For the B1I/B3I and B1C/B2a dual-frequency positioning accuracy with TGD correction, the improvement in the horizontal component ranges from 62.1% to 75.0%, and the vertical component was improved by approximately 45%. Furthermore, the positioning accuracy of the BDS-2 + BDS-3 combination constellation was obviously higher than that of BDS-2 or BDS-3.

At present, the orbital constellations of satellites with the possibility of receiving, processing and relaying the ADS-B («Automatic Dependent Surveillance — Broadcast») system signals that ensure globality and continuity of the air traffic monitoring are being created and gradually enhanced. In accordance with the concept of ADS-B technology usage , each air traffic participant broadcasts its identity, location, and status parameters in broadcast mode. Due to the fact that the system was not designed to receive signals onboard the satellite, there are certain problems related to their energy availability, the presence of collisions of messages from different sources, the effect of Doppler effect and other factors. Developed simulation model of aviation surveillance systems based on the reception of signals containing identification and navigation information and transmitted over the air in the broadcasting mode. Software-implemented simulation algorithms allow to set various constraints and assumptions (radiation sources distribution, aviation communication systems signals receiving points, information transmitting channel, signals frequency and duration distribution models) and obtain the target indicators estimates of the space and ground-based aviation surveillance systems functioning, taking into account various spatial and energy factors and conditions for the radio signals propagation, and controlled objects actual placement and their movement dynamics in the world airspace. Simulation model use methods and examples for calculating the space and ground aviation surveillance systems functioning target indicators are presented.

Based on the problems of traditional broadcast system such as complexity wiring and low efficiency, this paper presents a design scheme of intelligent addressable broadcast system which takes the advantages of Zigbee and frequency modulation (FM) technologies. This system adopts a cluster topology structure with a master and numerous of broadcast nodes. The network management and system control is realized by Zigbee. The audio signal is transmitted via FM broadcast. Besides, we realized the upper computer software design based on Visual C. The practical test shows that audio quality and system efficiency are both greatly enhanced, and the broadcast system is low-cost, low-power and low-complexity.

Mobile broadcast services have experienced a strong boost in recent years through the standardization of several mobile broadcast systems such as DVB-H, ATSC-M/H, DMB-T/H, and CMMB. However, steady need for higher quality services is projected to surpass the capabilities of the existing mobile broadcast systems. Consequently, work on new generations of mobile broadcast technology is starting under the umbrella of different industry consortia, such as DVB. In this paper, we address the question of how DVB-T2 transmission can be optimized for improved mobile broadcast reception. We investigate cross-layer optimization techniques with a focus on the transport of scalable video (SVC) streams over DVB-T2 Physical Layer Pipes (PLP). Throughout the paper, we propose different optimization options and verify their utility.

A Conflict Detection and Resolution (CD&R) system for manned/unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) concept is designed and verified in this paper. The 900 MHz XBee-Pro is selected as data transponder to broadcast flight information among participating aircraft in omnirange. Standard Compact Position Report (CPR) format packet data are automatically broadcasted by ID sequencing under Quasi-ADS-B mechanism. Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) monitoring checks the designated time slot and reallocates the conflict ID. This mechanism allows the transponder to effectively share data with multiple aircraft in near airspace. The STM32f103 microprocessor is designed to handle RF, GPS, and flight data with Windows application on manned aircraft and ground control station simultaneously. Different conflict detection and collision avoidance algorithms can be implemented into the system to ensure flight safety. The proposed UAV/CD&R using Quasi-ADS-B transceiver is tested using ultralight aircraft flying at 100–120 km/hr speed in small airspace for mission simulation. The proposed hardware is also useful to additional applications to mountain hikers for emergency search and rescue. The fundamental function by the proposed UAV/CD&R using Quasi-ADS-B is verified with effective signal broadcasting for surveillance and efficient collision alert and avoidance performance to low altitude flights.

As construction of high-rise buildings is increasing, the installation of a fire safety zone for the safe evacuation of residents has become mandatory. Even for building complexes with an underground connection between 30 and 49 stories, a fire safety zone must be installed when the residential density exceeds 1.5 people per square meter. In the fire safety zone, an automatic fire detection system and a system to assist radio communication must be installed. In addition, an emergency broadcasting system must be installed to announce the fire situation and to guide the safe evacuation of the residents. The fire safety zone was constructed with non-combustible material to minimize flames or smoke and was furnished to maintain a very low fire load. However, non-combustible materials have very low sound absorption characteristics; therefore, they usually reflect the sound energy into the spaces. In spaces consisting of sound reflective materials, the emergency broadcasting sounds reverberated, making it difficult to understand the meaning of the broadcasted sound. In this study, the room acoustics characteristics for fire safety zones in a high-rise building, represented as reverberation time and speech transmission index, were predicted using a certified room acoustics simulation method and evaluation of speech intelligibility. As a result of predicting the acoustic characteristics of the safety zone, it was found that the space had quite long reverberation and speech intelligibility was low, making it difficult to clearly transmit the emergency broadcast sound. When a safety zone was set up in a part of the machinery room, it was confirmed that it was difficult to clearly transmit the emergency broadcast sound, even when the background noise level was louder than 70 dB(A). To deliver a clear emergency broadcast sound in the safety zone, it is necessary to use inorganic sound-absorbing materials and to properly block noise in the machine room. In addition, it is necessary to establish guidelines for regulation of the speech transmission index for emergency broadcasting systems.

Multimedia broadcast is the most efficient method to distribute identical content to multiple users in the Evolved Packet System (EPS). EPS enables efficient usage of network resources and provisioning of quality of service for every user. Third-party control allows applications in an enterprise domain to invoke network functions like multimedia broadcast. In this paper, an approach to modeling the behavior of Service Capability Server (SCS) for multimedia broadcast in EPS is presented. Third-party applications can access multimedia broadcasting capabilities by using Parlay X Web Service interfaces. The SCS for multimedia broadcast exposes Parlay X interfaces toward 3rd-party applications and control protocols toward the network. The SCS functional behavior has to be synchronized with the application view on message broadcast and the state of the network resources intended for the broadcast session. Models of multicast session, IP connectivity session, and bearers’ and charging session are proposed and formally described using the notation of Label Transition Systems. The concept of weak bisimilarity is used to prove that models expose equivalent behavior; that is, they are synchronized.

Mobile devices can be used anytime and anywhere, enabling communication with pervasive sensing in various conditions to obtain the data. Reliable data acquisition has been required in urban monitoring systems from the macroscale to the microscale. However, a broadcast method for the data acquisition process may lead to the increased battery power consumption of mobile devices. Managing the battery power consumption of mobile devices is essential for reliable data acquisition. In this paper, we propose an urban monitoring system with an optimization algorithm in which a cloud server broadcasts a communication request that includes battery power consumption and the data acquisition quantity of mobile devices. Game theoretic optimization is formulated with a decision process. We derive a best response and Nash equilibrium for mobile communication with sensors and a cloud server. Evaluation results demonstrate that the proposed system can guarantee a low battery power consumption, as well as acquire the desired data quantity.

Abstract This article discusses the earthquake early warning system (EEWS) for schools of the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, Taiwan (NCREE’s EEWS, earthquake early warning system [NEEWS]) that was recently completed. The system consists of 98 seismic stations with a complete set of system capabilities and 3514 broadcast stations with only the associated alert broadcast system capabilities. The broadcast stations receive both any on-site alerts issued by the seismic stations and any regional alerts issued by the Central Weather Bureau and then broadcast whatever alert is received earliest. Shortly after the establishment of the NEEWS, the ML 6.3 Hualien earthquake, which had a maximum measured peak ground acceleration (PGA) of 515.17 Gal, struck Taiwan on 18 April 2019. During the earthquake, the performance of both the seismic stations and the broadcast stations of the system was documented. The current study analyzes and discusses the accuracy of the PGA predictions, lead times, and classification performance at both the seismic stations and the broadcast stations of the NEEWS. The results show that the NEEWS is a cost-effective and promising system of EEW.

The article tries to answer these questions by analyzing background documents and transcripts of the broadcasts at several critical moments, and by interviewing a key professional who served on the Israeli staff of the BBCWS Hebrew section in its last three years. The points in time were: the establishment of the service, 1949; the Suez/Sinai Campaign of 1956; the Eichmann Trial in Jerusalem, 1961; Ten Years to the Suez/Sinai Campaign, 1966; the Six Day War, 1967; and the closure of the service in 1968.

<span>Whenever a broadcast transmitter is on-air, it is required to be tended by licensed broadcast technicians. Technicians periodically monitor the transmitter performance, record the supply voltage and current at the last stage of the power amplifier and keeps a copy for at least two years. Also recorded are the times the transmitter is turned ON and OFF as well as the times the transmitter shuts down and returns back to air. This paper proposes a system to remotely tend analog transmitters in one central monitoring station. The remote tending of several transmitters in one location is made possible through internet connection. However, the challenge in the proposed system is in the gathering of transmitter data. A prototype of the system was constructed and tested in an FM broadcast transmitter. Test results on the prototype performance show that the proposed system can effectively be used to remotely monitor, record data and control the status of analog broadcast transmitters. The primary feature of the proposed system of monitoring several transmitters in one location will bring cost effective advantages to the broadcast operators. </span>

The accuracy of broadcast ephemeris is an important index of a satellite navigation system. The theory and method of precise ephemeris assessing broadcast ephemeris are introduced. The accuracy of GPS satellite broadcast ephemeris is assessed with the precise ones provided by IGS. The orbital coordinates of GPS broadcast ephemeris from 18th to 24th October 2013 are calculated. The analysis shows that during this time the GPS satellite broadcast ephemeris is reliable, accurate and safe as the whole, meanwhile the broadcast ephemeris accuracy is about 1 meter, better than nominal accuracy of 5 meters.

" It is specified that the educational and digital environment can be understood as a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions for learning that contribute to the motivation of higher education students to self-development, self-education and is a key component of professional development of future professionals through information resources and services. It is emphasized that video lecture is the main form of conducting educational classes in the educational-digital environment, intended for mastering theoretical material. Each individual lecture is a component of the course of lectures in the educational and digital environment of the course discipline. Let's outline the general requirements for video lectures for bachelors in cybersecurity in the educational and digital environment. It has been determined that online broadcasting is a convenient way to communicate with bachelors in cybersecurity in real time in an educational and digital environment. At the expense of such broadcast it is possible to arrange for them game streams, to hold online seminars or to answer questions. The presented method of conducting video lectures and online broadcasts for the training of bachelors in cybersecurity is characterized by mandatory professional training for bachelors to obtain the qualification of information security specialist in information and communication systems and provides practice to provide training conditions in the real environment of future professional activities. Prospects for further research are the development of technology for the introduction of video lectures and online broadcasts in the system of training bachelors in cybersecurity and verification of the results.

Abstract In this paper a novel segmentation system for football player detection in broadcasted video is presented. Proposed detection system is a complex solution incorporating a dominant color based segmentation technique of a football playfield, a 3D playfield modeling algorithm based on Hough transform and a dedicated algorithm for player tracking, player detection system based on the combination of Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) descriptors with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and linear Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification. For the shot classification the several classification technique SVM, artificial neural network and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) are used. Evaluation of the system is carried out using HD (1280×720) resolution test material. Additionally, performance of the proposed system is tested with different lighting conditions (including non-uniform pith lightning and multiple player shadows) and various camera positions. Experimental results presented in this paper show that combination of these techniques seems to be a promising solution for locating and segmenting objects in a broadcasted video.

TV broadcast structuring is needed to precisely extract long useful programs. These can be either archived as part of our audio-visual heritage or used to build added-value novel TV services like TVoD or Catch-up-TV. First, the problem of digital TV content structuring is positioned. Related work and existing solutions are deeply and carefully analyzed. This paper presents then DealTV, our fully automatic system. It is based on studying repeated sequences in the TV stream in order to segment it. Segments are then classified using an inductive logic programming-based technique that makes use of the temporal relationships between segments. Metadata are finally used to label and extract programs using simple overlapping-based criteria. Each processing step of DealTV has been separately evaluated in order to carefully analyze its impact on the final results. The system has been proven on a real TV stream to be very effective.

The augmentation navigation system based on multi-source information fusion can significantly improve position accuracy, and the multi-source information is usually transmitted through VHF Data Broadcast . Aiming at the burst characteristics of VHF Data Broadcast, this article proposed a novel demodulation algorithm based on open-loop structure. When a VHF Data Broadcast burst is detected, the timing recovery should be finished first, and the value of cross-correlation between the timing-recovered signal and the local training symbol is calculated to complete the frame synchronization. Then, the data-aided and non-data-aided algorithms are used to estimate the frequency offset. Finally, the phase offset is estimated and the carrier synchronization is accomplished. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can quickly accomplished carrier synchronization without using feedback-loop structure, and the bit error rate is less than 10−4 when the signal-to-noise ratio is greater than 17 dB, which satisfy the requirement of receiving VHF Data Broadcast signals in augmentation navigation system. Therefore, the proposed algorithm can be used for receiving VHF Data Broadcast signals.

We provide a methodology for analysing parameters and factors related with the efficiency and reliability of a digital radio link.
