Abstract (sommario):

Mobile phone applications may enhance the delivery of critical health services and the accuracy of health service data. Yet, the opinions and experiences of frontline health workers on using mobile apps to track pregnant and recently delivered women are underreported. This evaluation qualitatively assessed the feasibility, usability, and acceptability of a mobile Client Data App for maternal, neonatal, and child client data management by community health nurses (CHNs) in rural Ghana. The mobile app enabled CHNs to enter, summarize, and query client data. It also sent visit reminders for clients and provided a mechanism to report level of care to district officers. Fourteen interviews and two focus groups with CHNs, midwives, and district health officers were conducted, coded, and thematically analyzed. Results indicated that the app was easily integrated into care, improved CHN productivity, and was acceptable due to its capacity to facilitate client follow-up, data reporting, and decision-making. However, the feasibility and usability of the app were hindered by high client volumes, staff shortages, and software and device challenges. Successful integration of mobile client data apps for frontline health workers in rural and resource-poor settings requires real-time monitoring, program investments, and targeted changes in human resources.

The present research investigated the use of a Smartphone App as an adjunct in the treatment of a range of anxiety disorders. The primary aim of the App was to increase client adherence to between session therapy tasks, involving homework practice of a range of skills and tasks known to be associated with successful treatment of anxiety disorders. Homework is an important component of many therapeutic approaches, allowing clients to practise therapeutic skills between sessions, as well as providing continuity between sessions (Freeman & Rosenfield, 2002). Greater client adherence to homework tasks has been associated with improved treatment outcomes, and may be particularly important for reducing the risk of relapse (Scheel, Hanson, & Razzhavaikina, 2004). However, despite the benefits of engagement with homework tasks, client adherence to these activities can often be a significant barrier to treatment (Addis & Jacobson, 2000; Burns & Nolenhoeksema, 1991; Detweiler & Whisman, 1999; Detweiler-Bedell & Whisman, 2005). It is also one area in which the use of adjunctive technologies may have the greatest impact. The aim of this paper was to describe the development and pilot testing of a therapeutic Smartphone application, namely, PsychAssist. This application was designed as an adjunct to face-to-face therapy in the treatment of anxiety disorders among adults. The App was developed with the purpose of enhancing client engagement and adherence to between session (homework) tasks to improve maintenance and generalization of therapeutic behaviours.

Abstract (sommario):

Background Research supports the effectiveness of technology-based treatment approaches for substance use disorders. These approaches have the potential to broaden the reach of evidence-based care. Yet, there is limited understanding of factors associated with implementation of technology-based care approaches in different service settings. Objectives In this study, we explored provider and staff perceptions of facilitators and barriers to implementation of a mobile phone substance use recovery support app with clients in 4 service settings. Methods Interviews were conducted with leadership and provider stakeholders (N=12) from 4 agencies in the first year of an implementation trial of the mobile phone app. We used the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research as the conceptual foundation for identifying facilitators and barriers to implementation. Results Implementation process facilitators included careful planning of all aspects of implementation before launch, engaging a dedicated team to implement and foster motivation, working collaboratively with the app development team to address technical barriers and adapt the app to meet client and agency needs, and consistently reviewing app usage data to inform progress. Implementation support strategies included training all staff to promote organization awareness about the recovery support app and emphasize its priority as a clinical care tool, encouraging clients to try the technology before committing to use, scaling rollout to clients, setting clear expectations with clients about use of the app, and using peer coaches and consistent client-centered messaging to promote engagement. Perceived compatibility of the mobile phone app with agency and client needs and readiness to implement emerged as salient agency-level implementation facilitators. Facilitating characteristics of the recovery support app itself included evidence of its impact for recovery support, perceived relative advantage of the app over usual care, the ability to adapt the app to improve client use, and its ease of use. The mobile phone itself was a strong motivation for clients to opt in to use the app in settings that provided phones. App access was limited in settings that did not provide phones owing to lack of mobile phone ownership or incompatibility of the app with clients’ mobile phones. Individual differences in technology literacy and provider beliefs about substance use care either facilitated or challenged implementation. Awareness of patient needs and resources facilitated implementation, whereas external policies and regulations regarding technology use introduced barriers to implementation. Conclusions The conceptually grounded facilitators and barriers identified in this study can guide systematic targeting of strategies to improve implementation of mobile phone interventions in community treatment settings. Results also inform the design of technology-based therapeutic tools. This study highlights directions for research with regard to implementation of technology-based behavioral health care approaches.

Background The gap between mental health needs and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the Indigenous people of Australia, is most marked in the prison population. Indigenous people are overrepresented in Australian prisons. In prison, this group experiences mental disorders to a greater degree than non-Indigenous prisoners. This group has also been found to experience mental disorder at a higher rate than Indigenous people in the community. In addition to pre-existing determinants of poor mental health, these high prevalence rates may reflect poor engagement in mainstream interventions or the efficacy of available interventions. In community populations, the use of digital mental health resources may help to increase access to well-being support. However, culturally appropriate digital tools have not been available to Indigenous people in prisons. The absence of feasibility and efficacy studies of these tools needs to be addressed. Objective The aim of this study is to determine the feasibility of the Stay Strong app as a digital well-being and mental health tool for use by Indigenous people in prison. Methods Dual government agency (health and corrective services) precondition requirements of implementation were identified and resolved. This was essential given that the Stay Strong app was to be delivered by an external health agency to Indigenous prisoners. Then, acceptability at a practice level was tested using postuse qualitative interviews with clients and practitioners of the Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program. All Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program practitioners (10/37, 27%) and client participants who had completed their second follow-up (review of the Stay Strong app; 27/37, 73%) during the study period were invited to participate. Results Owing to the innovative nature of this project, identifying and resolving the precondition requirements of implementation was challenging but provided support for the implementation of the app in practice. Acceptability of the app by clients and practitioners at a practice level was demonstrated, with nine themes emerging across the interviews: satisfaction with the current Stay Strong app, supported client goal setting, increased client self-insight, improved client empowerment, cultural appropriateness, enhanced engagement, ease of use, problems with using an Android emulator, and recommendations to improve personalization. Conclusions The Stay Strong Custody Project is a pioneering example of digital mental health tools being implemented within Australian prisons. Using the app within high-security prison settings was found to be feasible at both strategic and practice levels. Feedback from both clients and practitioners supported the use of the app as a culturally safe digital mental health and well-being tool for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in prison.

Abstract Home Care Aides (HCAs) assistance is the most common care provision to help clients with activities of daily living, but exercise is not currently provided, despite well-established health benefits. We developed a resistance exercise intervention using a stakeholder panel of physical therapists, HCAs, and clients. Stakeholders suggested a mobile application that played exercise videos. We then enrolled 128 HCA-client dyads (93% african american & 79% female) and randomized home care aides to lead the intervention with their clients in addition to usual care for 6 months or continue usual care. Our aims were to 1) evaluate the feasibility of the intervention and 2) determine the effects of the intervention on client physical performance, frailty classification, self-reported health, and strength. 96% of HCAs reported the training session successfully prepared them to lead exercise and we had no adverse events. There was high attrition rates among dyads (28.13%) at 6 months which was worse among HCAs (55%). We found no statistically significant differences between study arms. However, the range of completed sessions was 1-34 out of 52 possible sessions. Program evaluation indicated high satisfaction among clients and HCAs (8.9 & 8.6/10). HCA attrition limited client participation, technology did not facilitate exercise completion, and client motivation was a barrier to adherence. Results show it is feasible to train HCAs to lead exercise, however, given high turnover in the HCA profession, alternative implementation models should be studied. While the app use was an innovative way to engage older adults in exercise, technology challenged HCAs.

The purpose of the article is to review the concepts for creating web applications, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of modern technologies for weather forecasting. The article presents modern client-server technologies. The concept of a single-page application and other technologies that allow interaction between the client and the server online are discussed in detail. The development of an application for tracking weather conditions based on the architecture of the SPA is presented. The research methodology includes processing theoretical information and analyzing the architecture of the application, built on the principle of SPA, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of approaches to client-server interaction, using Angular, Vue, React libraries, using APIs to create applications. The novelty of the research is the analysis of the modern concepts and technologies that allow you to develop web applications that can be used to build a modern web application of the Single Page Application concept, a detailed analysis of Angular, Vue, React libraries and user interaction with such systems, analysis of Service Workers technology as a way of hashing. Conclusions. The article analyzes modern technologies for creating web applications, presents their advantages and disadvantages, discusses the concept of Single Page Application and describes the development of an application for tracking weather conditions, provides analogues for comparative characteristics, discusses problems that arise when the client part interacts with the server application of SPA principles.

Distant relationships with the client have gained predominance and become necessary during the period of social distancing. Faced with this new scenario, it has become essential to measure the quality of services provided in relation to consumer expectations and requirements. The aim of this study is to assess the quality of services of a vegan company which provides fried and baked savories through a delivery app. To collect data on the quality of service provided by the micro business, interviews and direct observation were used as well as the completion of the SERVQUAL questionnaire by the consumers. Analysis of this data showed a positive result in the large majority of the evaluated aspects and client expectations of this kind of service were identified. Most criteria were positively influenced by the delivery app. We can therefore conclude that the service offered contributes in a positive way to the client’s perception of quality of service. It should also be mentioned that most of the criteria are influenced by the delivery app, thus highlighting it as a relevant tool for organizational dynamics.

“TO DO LIST is a web application in the classification of Task Management, Project Management, Productivity, Scheduling, and Collaboration. We have a huge assortment of devices to assist us with monitoring day by day commitments. A basic rundown on paper of things "To Do" is sufficient for certain individuals. Others like to utilize programs. Individuals have inclinations about where they monitor errands - with PC utility programming ("thick application"), sites ("meager application"), on telephone ("portable") applications. Some product is extremely broad, with just a basic rundown of assignment names and due dates. Some get more refined with settled errands, where you have to finish the settled undertakings to consider the fundamental assignment complete. Some straightforward records or to oversee complex multi-client ventures. What separates To Do List from most other undertaking the board bundles is the choice to make chains of command of assignments to separate complex errands in to dynamically more basic subtasks until no further disentanglement is required. This application will join the usability with the most effective functionalities that can enable a client to deal with their undertaking and monitor their necessities in the most beneficial manner.”

Abstract (sommario):

This thesis focuses on the problem of AppStreaming which is: moving the execution of application logic to the server-side and forwarding the User Interface (UI) to a weak client. Also, this proposal will be evaluated and compared to a current solution. The target hardware for the solution is Amazons cloud-based server rental service and weak Digital boxes. Current solutions require a fair amount of server power, and a great deal of bandwidth. The solution proposed in this thesis focuses on a smaller range of applications than the current solution and as such makes assumptions about the nature of the applications and thus exploits these to increase performance. The solution was implemented proof-of-concept style and evaluated with good results. The applications chosen for evaluation (three dierent browser-games) had much lower requirements on the proof-of-concept implementation than the business implementation of the current solution. The proposed solution is a mix of several well known compression schemes with a few intuitive adjustments.
Detta examensarbete fokuserar på en lösning för Appströmning (AppStreaming) som är: yttandet av exekvering av applikationslogik till serversidan för att avlasta en svag klient. Denna lösning utvärderas och jämfors med en existerande lösning. Målhårdvaran för lösningen är Amazons molnbaserade serveruthyrningstjänst och klena Digital-TV boxar. Nuvarande lösningar kräver kraftiga servrar och mycket bandbredd. Lösningen som föreslås i detta examensarbete fokuserar på ett mindre utbud av spel an nuvarande lösning. Som en följd av detta kan antaganden göras om spelmiljöerna och utnyttja dessa antaganden för att öka prestandan. Lösningen implementerades som ett bevis-av-koncept och utvärderingen gav goda resultat. Applikationerna som valdes för utvärderingarna (tre olika webblasarspel) visade sig ha lägre serverkrav samt lägre bandbreddskonsumtion än den nuvarande lösningen. Den föreslagna lösningen är en blandning av era etablerade kompressionsalgoritmer med justeringar för dessa applikationertyper.

Electronic gadgets such as touchpads and smartphones are becoming more popular in business and everyday life. The main advantage of mobile devices over personal computers is their portability. Cellular data plans allow Internet access without having permanent access point. There is a number of web-based applications available for gadgets. The primary goal of these apps is to provide their services through constant Internet access. However, it may affect the operation of both devices and applications. The objective of this thesis is to find a better way of client/server data synchronization in iOS development that can reduce the negative consequences of constant Internet access such as Internet traffic consumption, reduced battery life and cover area limitation of cellular services. As the result of the conducted research, the "FollowQTM" application was developed. Despite the fact, that the application is synchronized with web server, it does not require constant Internet access to operate.

Il lavoro presentato in questa tesi tratta la progettazione e l’implementazione di un’applicazione mobile utilizzabile come wayﬁnding per ambienti esterni non mappati. Nato su richiesta da parte di un committente, il sistema si pone come obiettivo quello di agevolare l’utente nell’orientamento e negli spostamenti eﬀettuati all’interno di spazi, anche di grandi dimensioni, per i quali non è possibile ricorrere all’utilizzo dei sistemi di navigazione già esistenti. Il software trova applicazione in contesti quali parchi divertimento o grandi eventi all’aperto e agisce da navigatore mostrando i punti di interesse presenti nell’area e permettendo di attivare la navigazione verso di essi. L’interfaccia graﬁca è stata realizzata in modo da mostrare un design simile ad applicazioni del settore già presenti sul mercato, questo allo scopo di privilegiare un approccio intuitivo all’ambiente ed oﬀrire una piacevole esperienza d’uso anche da parte di utenti inesperti.

Abstract (sommario):

An extensive body of literature supports the clinical utility and feasibility of client-centric goal-setting techniques in neurorehabilitation. However, such techniques are seldom used and difficult to adopt in mainstream clinical practice. Two primary barriers that limit uptake and adoption of individualized goal-setting techniques into routine practice include: (1) lack of an operationalized framework susceptible to variations in the characteristics of the user and constraints of a medical setting and (2) limited knowledge on the part of clinicians and clients to confidently engage in goal-setting conversations. The eGAS app was designed to address the need for a semi-structured client-centric goal-setting framework for clinicians engaged in neurorehabilitation. This study used a single-subject design to investigate the effects of using eGAS in an outpatient hospital setting on clinician behavior and client responsiveness. A nonconcurrent, multiple-baseline design was used across three clinicians to determine if use of eGAS would result in functional changes in collaborative interviewing behaviors, validity of generated goal scales, and reliability of the process. Results revealed that using eGAS had strong functional effects on collaborative interviewing behaviors and validity of goal scales, and a weak effect on reliability. Another noteworthy finding was that eGAS could be implemented with relatively high fidelity within the constraints of a clinical context despite variations in the characteristics of the end-user, i.e. clients and clinicians. I discuss support for ecological validity of eGAS in terms of implementation barriers and facilitators that affected outcomes, methodological limitations, and future steps to improve design validity and implementation integrity.

Attualmente, la maggior parte dei dati che transitano sulla rete appartiene a contenuti multimediali. Più nello specifico, è lo Streaming Video ad avere la predominanza nella condivisione di Internet; vista la crescita che tale servizio ha subìto negli ultimi anni, si sono susseguiti diversi studi volti allo sviluppo di tecniche e metodologie che potessero migliorarlo. Una di queste è sicuramente l'Adaptive Video Streaming, tecnica utilizzata per garantire all'utente una buona Quality of Experience (QoE) mediante l'utilizzo dei cosiddetti "algoritmi di rate adaptation". Il lavoro svolto in questi studi si è voluto concentrare su due filoni distinti, ma allo stesso tempo confrontabili: la prima parte della tesi riguarda lo sviluppo e l'analisi di alcuni algoritmi di rate adaptation per DASH, mentre la seconda è relativa all'implementazione di un nuovo algoritmo che li possa affiancare, migliorando la QoE nel monitorare lo stato della connessione. Si è quindi dovuta implementare un'applicazione Android per lo streaming video, che fosse conforme allo standard MPEG-DASH e potesse fornire le informazioni di testing da utilizzare per le analisi. Актуальність дисертації полягає в тому що на даний момент фінансовий ринок в Україні все ще розвивається. Опціони нині ще не стали широко викори- стовуватись, проте їм знаходять застосування у всьому світі та й з формуванням фінансового ринку вони стануть часто вживаними. Завданням є розгляд різних ринкових моделей та пошук моментів зупинки в які власник опціонів американського типу зможе максимізувати свій прибуток. В дисертації проведено дослідження фінансових інструментів, ринкових моделей та можливих рішень задач з пошуку моменту зупинки. Розроблено систему програмної підтримки реалізації інтерфейсу для по- шуку моменту зупинки в наявній моделі.
Master's thesis: 86 pages, 23 tables, 18 figures, 40 sources. The object of research is the profitability of market options. The subject of the research are financial instruments and tasks of finding the moment of stopping. The urgency of the work is that at the moment the financial market in Ukraine is still developing. Options are not yet widely used, but they are used all over the world and with the formation of the financial market they will become widely used. The task is to consider different market models and find stopping points in which the owner of American-type options will be able to maximize their profits. The research of financial instruments, market models and possible solutions of problems on finding the stopping moment is carried out in the work. A system of software support for the implementation of the interface for finding the stopping moment in the existing model has been developed.

The application will be built in accordance with Webshop that will offer the end user the facility to achieve same behavior as experienced on Webshop instead of troubling through using with small mobile screen. This will result in facilitation to both customer and seller.

This chapter reviews various behavioral concepts and strategies to help clients avoid behavioral errors, with the result of increasing the probability of a successful plan design and implementation. The chapter discusses how the concepts introduced by research in behavioral finance have become integrated throughout Evensky & Katz/Foldes Financial’s practice. The chapter begins with framing for new clients, which is part of the firm’s approach to retirement planning called “anchoring on the efficient frontier.” Anchoring refers to the intersection of the client’s return requirement as determined by a capital needs analysis and the client’s risk tolerance. Framing is introduced as a powerful behavioral management tool for the practitioner. Behavioral finance lessons are integrated in the risk tolerance and return discussions, as well as the reporting process.

This paper presents results of an ongoing project which aims to develop a purpose-built platform for using smart phones as alternative to sound level meters for citizen-science based environment noise assessment. In order to manage and control environmental noise effectively, the extent of the problem must first be quantified. Across the world, strategic noise maps are used to assess the impact of environmental noise in cities. Traditionally, these maps are developed using predictive techniques, but some authors have advocated the use of noise measurements to develop more reliable and robust noise maps. If adopted correctly, smartphones have the capability to revolutionize the manner in which environmental noise assessments are performed. The development of smartphone technology, and its impact on environmental noise studies, has recently begun to receive attention in the academic literature. Recent research has assessed the capability of existing smartphone applications (apps) to be utilized as an alternative low-cost solution to traditional noise monitoring. Results show that the accuracy of current noise measurement apps varies widely relative to pre-specified reference levels. The high degree of measurement variability associated with such apps renders their robustness questionable in their current state. Further work is required to assess how smartphones with mobile apps may be used in the field and what limitations may be associated with their use. To over come the above issues, this project is developing a platform specifically for citizen science noise assessment. The platform consists of a smartphone app that acquires a sound signal and transfers the data to a server via a web based API for post processing purposes. This then returns key information to the user, as well as logging the data for use in a massive noise mapping study. The structure of the proposed platform maintains a clear separation between client (phone) and server. This approach will allow implementation of future open source client side apps for both Android and iOS operating systems.

<p>After the collapse of Majherhat Bridge on September 4, 2018 at Kolkata (India), an expert committee was appointed by the state government to ‘examine’ all the old flyovers in the city. A large number of such flyovers identified by this committee, which needed urgent repairs. Two of these flyovers were investigated by the authors as a part of consultancy services provided to the owner client. Both these grade separators were in distress and needed urgent attention. But carrying out condition assessment on these bridges and carrying out any repair posed a big challenge to the Consultants and Clients due to number of factors, including lack of records of the bridges, volume of traffic and critical location of these infrastructures. This paper highlights the broad details of advance assessment techniques adopted for structural condition of these flyovers. The details of proposed repair and rehabilitation techniques adopted are also discussed.</p>

Abstract There is much to learn about how immigrants describe their experiences of faith in the counselling context while negotiating meaningful relationships with mental health professionals (MHPs). Here, MHPs refer to individuals in the helping profession who provide services to immigrant clients such as social workers, psychologists, clinicians, practitioners, and counsellors. For the purpose of this presentation, immigrants are viewed as persons relocating to a host country for the purpose of resettlement for a better life (Perruchoud & Redpath-Cross, 2011). In this context, faith describes one’s committed spiritual and religious belief system. Although, it is important to the wellbeing of many immigrant clients, some MHPs struggle to integrate religious faith into the counselling process. According to Plumb (2011), these challenges might be a result of limited training in the area of faith as well as lack of confidence, competence, and comfort related to faith-based practices (Plumb, 2011). These professionals also appear to lack the knowledge and skill set needed to adapt culturally appropriate faith-based interventions in their work with immigrant clients (Dixon, 2015). Many immigrants rely on such faith-based interventions as a source of internal strength and comfort to manage social inequities like racism and discrimination. As such, MHPs have a responsibility to accommodate, recognize, and consider the importance of faith-based practices and interventions when providing counselling services to diverse immigrant client populations. Therefore, the aim of this live virtual presentation session is to engage in reflective discussions with attendees that highlight the role of faith within the therapeutic relationship. The co-presenters will provide useful faith-based interventions for attendees to consider when working with immigrant clients. We will also create a culturally safe environment for attendees to discuss practical ways that they have incorporated faith-based interventions in their counselling practices. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo Identificar los factores influyentes en los costos incrementales de la comercialización de productos agrícolas de ciclo corto en la ciudad de Valledupar, a través de un estudio de campo que permita consultar a los actores principales, para cumplir con este propósito se plantean los siguientes objetivos específicos: realizar un diagnóstico que permite conocer cuales productos son comercializados en los mercados y almacenes de cadena de Valledupar y su procedencia, además, conocer los diferentes canales de distribución y comercialización usados normalmente por los comerciantes, también se identificará la percepción que tienen los clientes (consumidores) de los productos agrícola al momento de tomar la decisión de compras, es decir, cuáles son los factores que tienen mayor influencia en la toma de decisión y finalmente se estudiará el comportamiento que tiene el comercio en este tipo de productos; el método de investigación es cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación es descriptiva e incluye un diseño no experimental y de campo, el instrumento para la recolección de la información, se aplicará una encuesta mediante un cuestionario escrito aplicado a la muestra objeto de estudio, tales como: almacenes de cadena, mercado público de Valledupar, vendedores informales, entre otros . Para sustentar teóricamente esta investigación, es necesario tener en cuenta autores de la talla de: Montaña (2016), Kotler & Armstrong (2012), Schiffman & Lazar (2010) y Molinari (2006) y finalmente, los resultados obtenidos serán objeto de análisis e interpretación por parte de los actores involucrados.

The research problem: Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) and Xanthomonas campestrispv. vesicatoria (Xcv) are the causal agents of tomato bacterial speck and spot diseases, respectively. These pathogens colonize the aerial parts of the plant and cause economically important losses to tomato yield worldwide. Control of speck and spot diseases by cultural practices or chemicals is not effective and genetic sources of resistance are very limited. In previous research supported by BARD, by gene expression profiling we identified signaling components involved in resistance to Xcvstrains. Follow up experiments revealed that a tomato gene encoding a MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAPKKKe) is required for resistance to Xcvand Pststrains. Goals: Central goal of this research was to investigate the molecular mechanisms by which MAPKKKεand associated MAP kinase cascades regulate host resistance. Specific objectives were to: 1. Determine whether MAPKKKεplays a broad role in defense signaling in plants; 2. Identify components of MAP kinase cascades acting downstream of MAPKKKε; 3. Determine the role of phosphorylation-related events in the function of MAPKKKε; 4. Isolate proteins directly activated by MAPKKKε-associatedMAPK modules. Our main achievements during this research program are in the following major areas: 1. Characterization of MAPKKKεas a positive regulator of cell death and dissection of downstream MAP kinase cascades (Melech-Bonfil et al., 2010; Melech-Bonfil and Sessa, 2011). The MAPKKKεgene was found to be required for tomato resistance to Xcvand Pstbacterial strains and for hypersensitive response cell death triggered by different R gene/effector gene pairs. In addition, overexpression analysis demonstrated that MAPKKKεis a positive regulator of cell death, whose activity depends on an intact kinase catalytic domain. Epistatic experiments delineated a signaling cascade downstream of MAPKKKεand identified SIPKK as a negative regulator of MAPKKKε-mediated cell death. Finally, genes encoding MAP kinase components downstream of MAPKKKεwere shown to contribute to tomato resistance to Xcv. 2. Identification of tomato proteins that interact with MAPKKKεand play a role in plant immunity (Oh et al., 2011). We identified proteins that interact with MAPKKKε. Among them, the 14-3-3 protein TFT7 was required for cell death mediated by several R proteins. In addition, TFT7 interacted with the MAPKK SlMKK2 and formed homodimersin vivo. Thus, TFT7 is proposed to recruit SlMKK2 and MAPKKK client proteins for efficient signal transfer. 3. Development of a chemical genetic approach to identify substrates of MAPKKKε-activated MAP kinase cascades (Salomon et al., 2009, 2011). This approach is based on engineering the kinase of interest to accept unnatural ATP analogs. For its implementation to identify substrates of MAPKKKε-activated MAP kinase modules, we sensitized the tomato MAP kinase SlMPK3 to ATP analogs and verified its ability to use them as phosphodonors. By using the sensitized SlMPK3 and radiolabeled N6(benzyl)ATP it should be possible to tag direct substrates of this kinase. 4. Development of methods to study immunity triggered by pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) in tomato and N. benthamiana plants (Kim et al., 2009; Nguyen et al. 2010). We developed protocols for measuring various PTI-associatedphenotypes, including bacterial populations after pretreatment of leaves with PAMPs, induction of reporter genes, callose deposition at the cell wall, activation of MAP kinases, and a luciferase-based reporter system for use in protoplasts. Scientific and agricultural significance: Our research activities discovered and characterized a signal transduction pathway mediating plant immunity to bacterial pathogens. Increased understanding of molecular mechanisms of immunity will allow them to be manipulated by both molecular breeding and genetic engineering to produce plants with enhanced natural defense against disease. In addition, we successfully developed new biochemical and molecular methods that can be implemented in the study of plant immunity and other aspects of plant biology.

El estudio representa una actualización del primer informe sobre el ecosistema Fintech en Argentina llevado a cabo en el año 2018. Describe la evolución y los avances ocurridos con respecto a la medición y el análisis realizado anteriormente, además de examinar nuevas dimensiones relevantes en el sector. La primera sección brinda una descripción general del ecosistema actual, en donde se refleja su crecimiento desde el año 2018, el panorama de la industria, su distribución y alcance en el país, y sus principales indicadores (financiamiento, clientes, usuarios y empresas). El estudio cuenta con la particularidad de haberse realizado en pleno proceso de la crisis sanitaria generada por la pandemia COVID-19, por lo que parte del estudio aborda las áreas de impacto de la crisis en las Fintech, según la visión de los integrantes del ecosistema. La segunda sección aborda un análisis por vertical Fintech, es decir por nueve segmentos de actividad dentro del ecosistema: Préstamos, Pagos digitales, Blockchain & Criptoactivos, Insurtech, Inversiones, Servicios B2B, Financiamiento colectivo, Seguridad informática y Proveedor tecnológico. La tercera sección se centra en el estudio de cuatro temas transversales que atañen a todos los segmentos o sectores. Estos temas transversales se denominan horizontales: Inclusión y Educación Financiera, Género, Marco Regulatorio y Ambiente. Si bien estos horizontales se encuentran interrelacionados, se analizan individualmente. En la última sección se presentan tres casos de estudio - Ualá, Mercado Fondos y Afluenta - centrados en el rol de las Fintech en la promoción de una inclusión financiera. El estudio cuenta con la colaboración de la Cámara Argentina de Fintech, el BID Lab, Afluenta y la participación de los protagonistas de la industria que fueron encuestados para el desarrollo del informe, y entrevistados para los casos de estudio.
