Abstract (sommario):

Conducted analysis of calculation methods of estimated figures of facilities for crop tending of cultivated crop according to hilled technology showed that in the theories of determination of geometrical dimensions and shapes of working parts surfaces of inter-row cultivator now some points are left, which are not solved . Besides, obtained data from studies of many scientists can be applied to new working tool with flat discs for inter-row cultivator. Consequently, additional theoretical and empirical support of optimal constructive-operating conditions of above mentioned working tools of inter-row cultivator is demanded. For mechanized crop tending of cultivated crop according to hilled technology we offered working tool of inter-row cultivator with flat disc, set for native or foreign inter- row cultivator. Offered working tool of cultivator will allow to clip off pest in seed inter rows of cultivated plants, and also dust not cut pests on the flanks of ridges and between culms of cultivated crop on upper base of soil rigs . In the article process of formation of secondary soil rigs by working tools with flat discs during modeling the first mechanized crop tending of cultivated crops in laboratory conditions is observed. Considering agrotechnical requirements and physical mechanical properties of soil, reference profile of soil rigs is accepted, forming during mechanized crop tending, which conditionally can accept as ideal, and an original optimization criterion . After practical realization of research in soil box and statistical treatment of obtained data fit equations were got, in which independent factors of process took the form of natural and coded levels. It was found out that speed change of cultivator moving within 1,2...2,4 m/s, angled к of flat disk approach angle from 5º to 20º, increases the range of soil throwing away and width of soil dust on the flanks and upper base of the first soil rigs (kсэ → max). At the angle of  attack of flat discs within 25º...30º and cultivator conveying speed from1,2 m/s to 1,6 m/s there is growth of width of dusted layers hпр, an coefficient kсэ is maximum (kсэ = 0,98 with diameter of flat discs 0,3 m).

Aims: Our aims were to isolate and cultivate mesenchymal dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) in various media enriched with human blood components, and subsequently to investigate their basic biological properties. Methods: DPSC were cultivated in five different media based on α MEM containing different concentrations of human plasma (HP), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or fetal calf serum (FCS). The DPSC biological properties were examined periodically. Results: We cultivated DPSC in the various cultivation media over 15 population doublings except for the medium supplemented with 10% HP. Our results showed that DPSC cultivated in medium supplemented with 10% PRP showed the shortest average population doubling time (DT) (28.6 ± 4.6 hours), in contrast to DPSC cultivated in 10% HP which indicated the longest DT (156.2 ± 17.8 hours); hence this part of the experiment had been cancelled in the 6th passage. DPSC cultivated in media with 2% FCS+ITS (DT 47.3 ± 10.4 hours), 2% PRP (DT 40.1 ± 5.7 hours) and 2% HP (DT 49.0 ± 15.2 hours) showed almost the same proliferative activity. DPSC’s viability in the 9th passage was over 90% except for the DPSC cultivated in the 10% HP media. Conclusions: We proved that human blood components are suitable substitution for FCS in cultivation media for long-term DPSC cultivation.

Abstract (sommario):

Aims: Our aims were to isolate stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED), to cultivate them in vitro and to investigate their basic biological properties, phenotype and to compare our findings with dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) isolated from permanent teeth. Methods: Dental pulp was gently evacuated from exfoliated teeth. After enzymatic dissociation of dental pulp, SHED were cultivated in modified cultivation media for mesenchymal adult progenitor cells containing 2 % FCS and supplemented with growth factors and insulin, transferrin, sodium (ITS) supplement. Cell viability and other biological properties were examined using a Vi-Cell analyzer and a Z2-Counter. DNA analyses and phenotyping were performed with flow cytometry. Results: We were able to cultivate SHED over 45 population doublings. Our results showed that SHED cultivated under same conditions as DPSC had longer average population doubling time (41.3 hrs for SHED vs. 24.5 hrs for DPSC). Phenotypic comparison of cultivated SHED to that of cultivated DPSC showed differential expression CD29, CD44, CD71, CD117, CD166. During long-term cultivation, SHED did not showed any signs of degeneration or spontaneous differentiation. Conclusions: We isolated stem cells from exfoliated teeth. In comparison to DPSC, SHED proliferation rate was about 50% slower, and SHED showed slightly different phenotype. These cells may be extremely useful for stem cell tissue banking, further stem cell research and future therapeutic applications.

Abstract (sommario):

Abstract Aquilaria beccariana van Tiegh is one of the agarwood (gaharu) species that grows naturally and cultivatived. However, the chemical and antioxidant potential of its leaves have not been studied much. This research aimed to examine the chemical compounds and the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of the agarwood leaves A. beccariana van Tiegh which grows naturally and cultivatived. The leaves were processed into simplicia and then extracted using 96% ethanol as solvent. Phytochemical screening agarwood leaves to determine the chemical compounds such as of alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, steroids/triterpenoids, saponins and tannis. The antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method to obtain the IC50 (Inhibitory Concentration) value. The compound tracing used GC-MS. The results showed that the simplicia and the extract of the leaves both natural-grown and cultivated contained secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids/triterpenoids, and tannins positively, whereas the glycosides were only found in cultivated type. The result of the antioxidant activity test showed that the ethanol extract of the leaves of A. beccariana van Tiegh both natural-grown and cultivated was categorized as very strong. The results of the identification of chemical compounds by GC-MS were identified 18 compounds in the natural-grown leaves, while 40 compounds were identified in the cultivated ones.

Globally Indian chillies dominates the international chilli market. India holds the title for being the world's biggest producer, consumer, and exporter of chili. Indian chilli is considered to be world-famous for important commercial qualities of colour and pungency levels. In Tamil Nadu chilli is being cultivated as rainfed and irrigated conditions in many of the districts. In 2021-22 Tamil Nadu cultivated chilli in 0.5 lakh ha and produced 26,380 MT. In Tamil Nadu Ramanthapuram district alone cultivate Mundu type chilli which is unique in nature. In this study, economics of ramanathapuram mundu chilli is analyzed and discussed. The study uses both primary data and secondary data. Primary data collected from chillies cultivators in Ramanthapuram district during 2019-20. Based on the secondary data Kadaladi, Paramakudi and Ramnad blocks were purposively selected based on the area cultivated. The primary data with respect to costs and returns, marketing cost were collected using pre tested schedule through personnel interview method. Data pertaining to traders, processors retailers and exporters were also collected. The study says that chilli farmers incurs Rs.84,550 per hectare to cultivate mundu chilli in Ramanathapuram district and Rs.55,450 as net return and the BCR is 1.65.

Abstract (sommario):

Dendrobium huoshanense (D. huoshanense) has been used as functional food supplements and herbal medicines for preventing and managing diseases with a long history in China. Due to its endangered natural resources and huge demand, people tend to cultivate D. huoshanense to protect this species. However, the quality of wild and cultivated herbs of the same species may change. This work quantified and compared the main quality traits and chemical components of wild imitating and greenhouse cultivated D. huoshanense with different growth years. As a result, wild and cultivated D. huoshanense had similar chemical composition, but there are significant differences in the content of many ingredients (polysaccharides, flavonoids, nucleosides, bibenzyls, lignans and volatile compounds). And the contents of many of these components increased with growing years. In addition, multivariate statistical analyses have been applied to classify and evaluate samples from different cultivation modes according to these components. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that the overall quality of greenhouse cultivated D. huoshanense was not as good as wild-grown, but this mode can be a promising and sustainable way of producing D. huoshanense.

Abstract (sommario):

This study investigates the association between change in types of roads and cultivated farm area at Agriculture Sector. Time series data was used to interrogate the proposition of this paper. The time series annual data from 2000 to 2020 was collected from the Eikon data stream on variables which include change in high type roads & change in low type roads around the farm area and cultivated farm area from of the 12 rural zones of provinces of Sind, Punjab and KPK of Pakistan. Findings confirmed that there is a significant association between increases in low type of roads and cultivates farm area of all selected rural zones of outlined provinces. While there is no significant relationship between the high type roads and the farm area and the cultivated area of stated 12 zones of outlined provinces findings further revealed.

Abstract (sommario):

In this study, in order to understand how much subject competencies and skills can be realized through the dietary unit in the Practical Arts textbook, the dietary units in the 5th and 6th grade Practical Arts textbook were analyzed based on the subject competencies and skills in the family life field of the 2015 revised Practical Arts curriculum. The conclusions drawn based on the results of this study are as follows. First, all three subject competencies presented in the family life field of the Practical Arts curriculum could be cultivated by learning the dietary units in Practical Arts textbook based on the 2015 revised curriculum. In particular, it was found that life independence ability can be cultivated the most. As for the sub-elements of each subject competency, practical reasoning, decision-making, and critical thinking can mainly be cultivated in practical problem-solving ability. The ability to perform diet, clothing, and shelter, and healthy and safe living can mainly be cultivated in life independence ability. Family relationship and community consciousness, respect and communication with others, consideration and care/environmental and ecological consciousness can mainly be cultivated in relationship formation ability. Second, among the skills presented in the 2015 revised Practical Arts curriculum, the skills that could be cultivated by learning the dietary units in the 5th and 6th grade Practical Arts textbook were most prominent in practicing(executing) and applying. Synthesizing, evaluating, exploring, and judging could also be cultivated by learning the dietary unit in Practical Arts textbook. Third, most of the skills required to develop practical problem-solving ability can be cultivated in the dietary unit of Practical Arts textbook, so it can be said that the skills are relatively well connected for the cultivation of practical problem-solving ability. However, as for the life independence ability and the relationship formation ability, the skills required to cultivate these subject competencies were somewhat insufficient, so the link between the subject competency and the skills was found to be somewhat insufficient.

This study aimed to explore the ecological adaptability and the possibility of growing rice with floating bed on the dilute biogas slurry. The results of the experiments show that the growth stage, rice plant height, and rice yield and quality were significantly affected by multiple dilutions; rice plants cultivated with 45 multiple dilutions had better ecological adaptability than others. In the 45 multiple dilutions’ group, the yield of rice was 13.3 g/bucket (8 rice plants), milled rice rate was 63.1%, and the content of crude protein in the rice was 6.3%. The concentrations of heavy metals in the rice cultivated with 30 multiple dilutions’ slurry, such as total lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium, and arsenic, were all below the national standard. The study shows that it is possible and safe to cultivate rice plants with no soil but diluted biogas slurry. In the experiments, the yield, milled rice rate, and crude protein of the rice cultivated with slurry were not as much as those of rice cultivated with regular way in soil. This study provides the basic theoretical support for the development of biogas projects and the potential achievement of organic farming in special agricultural facilities and circular economy.

Abstract (sommario):

ABSTRACT Identifying effective weed control regimes for organic peanut is paramount for improving the feasibility of organic production. Tine cultivation is a proven effective method for reducing in-row weed populations in several crops. Field trials were therefore conducted in 2008 and 2009 to assess the effects of tine cultivation combined with sweep cultivation and supplemental hand-weeding on weed control and overall productivity of two peanut cultivars under organic management. Tine cultivation regimes consisted of two frequencies (once per week or twice per week) for three durations (3 wk, 4 wk, or 5 wk). All cultivation treatments were also cultivated with flat sweeps at least once and hand-weeded periodically during the growing season. A non-cultivated, non-weeded control was included for comparison. All cultivation treatments significantly reduced annual grass populations in 2008 and Florida pusley populations both years. Cultivated treatments also resulted in denser plant stands for peanut (9.2 plants/m to 13.2 plants/m) than the non-cultivated control (5.9 plants/m to 7.9 plants/m). Pod yields in cultivated treatments ranged from 3502 kg/ha to 3823 kg/ha and were all significantly greater than yields in the non-cultivated control (1630 kg/ha). Also, net revenues generated by cultivated treatments ranged from ($3333/ha to $3637/ha) and were greater than that of the control ($1795/ha). Cultivation frequency had little effect on weed control and peanut productivity. However, the 4- and 5-wk durations displayed potential for improving peanut yield, grade, and net revenue over the 3-wk duration, especially when annual grass weeds were predominant. Cultivating once weekly for 4 or 5 wk with a tine cultivator, along with at least one sweep cultivation and supplemental hand-weeding, is a viable, economical option for providing adequate weed control and maximizing productivity of organically-managed peanut at current market premiums.

Soybeans are species of legume that has become one of the most widely consumed food in the world, because they are easy to cultivate and very beneficial for human health. The quality of the cultivated plants, including the content of toxic heavy metals depends to a large extent on the contaminants present in the soils in which they are grown and the method of fertilization. Through this research we aim to highlight the degree of accumulation of cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, nickel, lead and zinc in relation with the cultivated soybean genotype and fertilization. Three soy varieties (Cristina, Felix and Onix) were cultivated in an experimental field located at Cojocna Experimental Didactic Center of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca. The above-mentioned heavy metals were determined from the harvested mature soybean seeds using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry, using an Avio 200 instrument. The obtained results demonstrated that the accumulation of heavy metals in soybean seeds is influenced by the cultivated genotype and fertilization; the Onix variety is more prone to the accumulation of heavy metals, while the highest values of the above listed metals were recorded in the case of fertilizing with „Fertitel”.

Abstract (sommario):

Political theorists sometimes advocate the intensification of citizens' participation in politics, on the grounds that this serves as an engine for the cultivation of social solidarity and civic virtue. I argue against such an initiative and set out the case for a more nuanced examination of the effect of particular modes of political participation on social solidarity, in light of recent empirical literature. Against the assertions of the theorists in question, the research reveals that political participation per se does not cultivate the said virtues, whereas entrusting citizens with deliberating and deciding specific policy issues (specifically in the form of citizens' juries or CJs) does. Finally, it is argued that there is a rather limited scope to the implementation of deliberative bodies of the kind that cultivates solidarity. Consequently, intensifying political participation is not a reliable means through which social solidarity can be cultivated.

Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, also called wuweizi in China, was a widely used folk medicine in China, Korea, and Russia. Due to the limited natural resources and huge demand of wuweizi, people tend to cultivate wuweizi to protect this species. However, the quality of wild and cultivated herbs of the same species may change. Little attention has been paid to comparing wild and cultivated wuweizi based on simultaneous determination of its active components, such as lignans and organic acids. An analytical method based on UFLC-QTRAP-MS/MS was used for the simultaneous determination of 15 components, including 11 lignans (schisandrin, gomisin D, gomisin J, schisandrol B, angeloylgomisin H, schizantherin B, schisanhenol, deoxyschizandrin, γ-schisandrin, schizandrin C, and schisantherin) and 4 organic acids (quinic acid, d(−)-tartaric acid, l-(−)-malic acid, and protocatechuic acid) in wuweizi under different ecological environments. Principal components analysis (PCA), partial least squares discrimination analysis (PLS-DA), independent sample t-test, and gray relational analysis (GRA) have been applied to classify and evaluate samples from different ecological environments according to the content of 15 components. The results showed that the differential compounds (i.e., quinic acid, l-(−)-malic acid, protocatechuic acid, schisandrol B) were significantly related to the classification of wild and cultivated wuweizi. GRA results demonstrated that the quality of cultivated wuweizi was not as good as wild wuweizi. The protocol not just provided a new method for the comprehensive evaluation and quality control of wild and cultivated wuweizi, but paved the way to differentiate them at the chemistry level.

This work was conducted with the objective to evaluate the effect of vermicompost application on chemical characteristics, energetic parameters and amino acids prof ile of hybrid race corn grain cultivated under open-f ield and rained conditions. The experiment was accomplished under a randomized complete design with three repetitions. Three treatments were evaluated: 1) Maize after inoculation with a commercial mycorrhizal arbuscular fungi mixture (Tec Myc 60®) plus vermicompost (V+M); vermicompost (V) and chemical fertilization (CF). Starch content in grain was 1.9% higher in V+M treatment in comparison with chemical, whereas crude protein, ether extract, crude f iber, acid detergent f iber, neutral detergent f iber, total phosphorous and phytic phosphorous were not different between treatments. Energetic parameters were not different between three treatments. 17 amino acids were evaluated of wich only tryptophan, leucine, valine, histidine and aspartic acid were higher in CF and V treatments in comparison with V+M treatment. In conclusion, it is possible to cultivate maize using vermicompost as fertilizer because chemical characteristics, energetic parameters and amino acids prof ile in maize grain were not affected compared with the maize cultivated with vermicompost added with biofertilizers (V+M) or with corn cultivated with chemical fertilizers (CF).

AbstractLand use/cover change plays an important role in human development and environmental health and stability. Markov chain and a future land use simulation model were used to predict future change and simulate the spatial distribution of land use in the Huang-Huai-Hai river basin. The results show that cultivated land and grassland are the main land-use types in the basin, accounting for about 40% and 30%, respectively. The area of cultivated land decreased and artificial surfaces increased from 1980 to 2010. The degree of dynamic change of land use after the 1990s was greater than that before the 1990s. There is a high probability of exchange among cultivate land, forest and grassland. The area of forest decreased before 2000 and increased after 2000. Under the three emission scenarios (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5) of IPSL-CM5A-LR climate model, the area of cultivated land will decrease and that of grassland will increase in the upstream area while it will decrease in the downstream area. The above methods and rules will be of great help to future land use planning.

Commercial red cultivars (Freedom and Subjibi), semicultivated (Xo-chimilco and Chapingo) and a wild genotype (Puebla) were stored at 2, 7 °C [96% relative humidity (RH)], and 18 °C (50% RH) for 24 and 48 hours. Variables considered were: CO2 and ethylene production, color, chlorophyll content and appearance, evaluating cut leaves and potted plants. CO2 and ethylene production were higher in the wild and semi-cultivated genotypes (cut leaves). The 2 °C temperature had an influence in CO2 production, but it did not affect ethylene. In potted plants, bracts did not show changes in color components (brightness, chroma and hue) in relation to low temperatures or storage time. There were no differences in leaf chlorophyll (Spad) with the exception of one of the semi-cultivated genotypes (Xochimilco) where the 2 °C treatment reduced the spad units. Leaves and bracts showed a slightly wilted appearance after storage at 2 and 7 °C, but they recovered afterwards at ambient temperature of 18 °C.

Cultivated meat, also known as cell-based or clean meat, utilizes mesenchymal stem cells to cultivate mature cell types like adipocytes, which are pivotal for imparting the desired taste and texture. The delivery of differentiated cells, crucial in cultivated meat production, is facilitated through extensive exploration of 3D culturing techniques mimicking physiological environments. In this study, we investigated the adipogenic differentiation potential of bovine umbilical cord stem cells (BUSCs), sourced from discarded birth tissue, and assessed the feasibility of delivering differentiated cells for cultivated meat using gelatin methacrylate (GelMA) as a carrier for adipose tissue. Various adipogenic inducers, previously reported to be effective for human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs), were evaluated individually or in combination for their efficacy in promoting the adipogenesis of BUSCs. Surprisingly, while the traditional adipogenic inducers, including insulin, dexamethasone, isobutylmethylxantine (IBMX), indomethacin, and rosiglitazone, showed no significant effect on the adipogenic differentiation of BUSCs, efficient differentiation was achieved in the presence of a fatty acid cocktail. Furthermore, we explored methods for the delivery of BUSCs. Differentiated cells were delivered either encapsulated in GelMA hydrogel or populated on the surface of GelMA microparticles (MPs) as the adipose component of cultivated meat. Our findings reveal that after adipogenic induction, the lipid production per cell was comparable when cultured either within hydrogel or on MPs. However, GelMA-MPs supported better cell growth compared to hydrogel encapsulation. Consequently, the overall lipid production is higher when BUSCs are delivered via GelMA-MPs rather than encapsulation. This study not only systematically evaluated the impact of common adipogenic inducers on BUSCs, but also identified GelMA-MPs as a promising carrier for delivering bovine adipocytes for cultivated meat production.

Cultivated meat is meat produced from animal stem cells, outside of the animal, under controlled laboratory conditions. It is deemed as one of the most promising protein production alternatives that protects the welfare of animal, environment as well as human, without compromising the conventional sensory of animal meat. The Singapore Food Agency is the first regulatory authority in the world to approve the vending of cultivated meat in December 2020. Since then, a number of start-ups have emerged to provide consumers with a myriad of dishes and delicacies produced from cultivated meat. In the review, the potentials of all available cultivated meat products in Singapore were presented. Furthermore, the challenges and limitations of this industry were briefly highlighted and discussed. Finally, the future perspectives of this industry have been included to drive future researches and endeavours. It is hoped that this industry can boost the country's economy and provide sufficient job opportunities post pandemic, without having to compromise the betterment of our environment.

Indonesia tried to cultivated wheat since 2000. Characteristics of Indonesia as a tropical country caused the productivity of wheat crops was relatively lower than the productivity of sub-tropical wheat cultivation. The development of wheat cultivation was carried out in various regions, including in Central Java Province. Several institutions had participated to introduce the wheat cultivation in Central Java province. This study explores the farmer perceptions on wheat farming and correlation between internal driver and external driver and farmer's perception on wheat farming, and the correlation between farmer perception toward farmer motivation to cultivate wheat. This research used survey technique to collect primary data from farmers who get involved on wheat cultivation introduction program. Data analysis techniques were used rank spearman correlation analysis. The study showed that respondents in Demak Regency tend to have the perception that wheat cultivation is very unprofitable, not easily cultivated and has a high risk of crop failure. Respondents in Boyolali tend to have the perception that wheat is easily cultivated, but has a high risk of crop failure and high selling prices. Respondents in Klaten Regency tend to have the perception that wheat cultivation is not profitable and has a high risk of crop failure, but has a high selling price. There is no significant relationship on age, education, farming experience, frequency of extension, and farm environmental conditions on farmers' perceptions. There are significant relationship between farmer status, land area, with farmers’ perception on wheat cultivation, and the farmers perception had relation with farmers motivation to cultivate wheat
