This study presents an analysis of the factors conditioning certain processes of a merger in the tonal system of Yu, an endangered variety of Jin Chinese. Drawing on three investigations of this variety that were conducted at intervals of nearly a decade each, we found that the falling tone HM has merged with the falling tone HL over the past thirty years. When analysing the tone sandhi patterns in these three studies, it becomes clear that the merger of the two falling tones (HL and HM) is driven by internal phonological factors. ABSTRACT: Natural gas hydrate (NGH) has emerged as a potential clean energy source. The China Geological Survey successfully conducted two trial mining operations in the Shenhu area of the South China Sea in 2017 and 2020. However, the exploitation of clayey silt NGH reservoirs poses significant challenges, including low production. Hydraulic fracturing is considered a potential key technology for increasing the production of NGH reservoirs. ABSTRACT Proppant conductivity was usually measured under static or designed proppant concentration. The ISO 13503-5 standard provides specific experimental procedures for measuring the long-term conductivities of proppants.
