Abstract (sommario):
Der Artikel geht auf die Echtheit folgender J. C. Bach möglicherweise zuzuordnender Werke ein: Präludium und Fuge ES-Dur BWV Anh. 177, zwei Variationsreihen über Aria-Melodien in ES-Dur und a-moll und eine über eine Sarabande, sowie Choralbearbeitungen. Eine Zugehörigkeit zu den Sarabanden-Variationen J. C. Bachs wird im Artikel auch für BWV 990 diskutiert. Unter den Choralbearbeitungen wird besonders Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein beleuchtet, die als BWV 741 bisher J. S. Bach zugeschrieben wurde, im vorliegenden Text aufgrund verschiedener Überlegungen jedoch J. C. Bach zugewiesen wird. Zudem werden besonders verschiedene Einflüsse von Werken J. C. Abstract (sommario):
Obwohl Johann Gottfried Neumeisters Abschrift von Orgelchorälen erst 1790 angefertigt wurde, zählt sie zu den wichtigsten Quellen zur Orgelmusik der älteren Bach-Familie. Auch wenn die Sammlung Werke von Pachelbel, Zachow und Buttstädt enthält, besteht das Hauptkorpus aus Kompositionen von Johann Christoph, Johann Michael und Johann Sebastian Bach. Die Bedeutung der Quelle kann kaum überschätzt werden, ist sie doch gleichzeitig singulärer Überlieferungsträger einer großen Anzahl von frühen Orgelchorälen Johann Sebastian Bachs. Darüber hinaus enthält die Quelle zahlreiche Choralbearbeitungen von Johann Sebastian Bachs Schwiegervater und solchen, die Johann Michael Bach zugeschrieben werden können. Neumeisters Sammelhandschrift setzt eine konkrete Verbindung zum engeren Kreis der Bach-Familie voraus. (Oliver Schlinke, Quelle: Bibliographie des Musikschrifttums online)

This thesis is engaged in cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach, in which composer calls for violoncello piccolo. It is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the issue of instrument, the following chapter is dedicated to the historical kontext of cantatas and their instrumentation in connection with violoncello piccolo. The third chapter is a musical analysis of individual arias in nine subsections. The fourth chapter deals with the question, on which instrument can be now these solos. The thesis contains actual score examples and the footnotes.

Abstract (sommario):
The tendency of today’s historiography to portray early 18th-century Italian opera as a dichotomy between opera seria and opera buffa takes too little account of the existence of genera mixta. However, contemporary composers and authors sometimes referred to a tripartiton. In his treatise Der vollkommene Capellmeister (1739), Johann Mattheson distinguishes between tragedy, comedy and satire. His description of the melodies from a satirical opera is limited to the statement that they are “ridiculous, poseuristic and prickly”. This definition can be applied to the analysis of dramatic vocal works with the help of Gérard Genette’s category of “burlesque travesty” which describes the stylistic degradation of a tragic-heroic subject as a satirical function. This stylistic mixture is achieved by the use of specific musical devices, which are shown in this article on the basis of case studies on music by Francesco Bartolomeo Conti, Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Händel.
