Desalinasi merupakan proses penghilangan kadar garam dari air laut atau air payau agar dapat menjadi air tawar. Istilah ini sudah lama dicetuskan namun belum diketahui oleh banyak orang termasuk anggota Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Lantebung.
