WoodWinder is a machine whose job is to interpret the signal from a Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) keyboard and make a recorder play accordingly. This was performed by simulating the two human traits needed in order to play the recorder: providing air flow for the mouthpiece and fingers to cover its holes. Automatický přepis hudby a odhad vícero znějících tónu jsou stále výzvou v oblasti dolování informací z hudby. Moderní systémy jsou založeny na různých technikách strojového učení pro dosažení co nejpřesnějšího přepisu hudby. Některé z nich jsou také omezeny na konkrétní hudební nástroj nebo hudební žánr, aby se snížila rozmanitost analyzovaného zvuku. A software system that automatically classifies MIDI files into hierarchically organized taxonomies of musical genres is presented. This extensible software includes an easy to use and flexible GUI. The Ruination of Atlantis is an original ballet in thirteen movements composed for prerecorded media using sampled orchestral and other instruments. The purpose of this essay is to discuss the reasoning behind composing a work for a "virtual" instead of an actual orchestra followed by an analysis of the overall structure of the piece, analyses of the use of leitmotif throughout the work, and an analysis of the pitch, rhythmic, and harmonic material of the piece as a whole and each individual movement. The Viséan strata of southern Belgium, between Namur, Aachen, Comblain-au-Pont and Dinant, record the deposition of shallow water carbonates along the southern margin of the Brabant Massif. Three areas of Dinantian outcrop: the Namur, Dinant and Vesdre regions were separated by folding and faulting associated with the Hercynian orogeny, particularly the Midi Thrust. The Viséan series comprises three stages of which the Livian has been the basis for this study.
