Understanding words in motion pictures is a rewarding pathway for audience of cultural-based media and entertainment. The study aimed to investigate the most frequently used vocabulary in selected English drama movie scripts. It sought to find out the most frequently occurred part of speech and to probe the frequency of occurrences of each content words in the movie scripts. Five English drama movie scripts were chosen purposively as sources of the corpora. Applying the Antconc program software developed by Anthony, a total of 108 content words were noted and categorized for corpora analysis.

A point to note is that fed up with was always favored over fed up of in twenty countries’ web from 2010 to 2022. A further point to note is that the figure of fed up of and fed up with reached a peak in 2019 and 2020, respectively. AbstractFinance plays a central function in the business world. From being included in small and specialized funds, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and socially responsible investment (SRI) have become part of the mainstream for investors and analysts. In this chapter, I will address what ESG, SRI, environmental and social risk assessment, and ethical investment are about, as well as different investment strategies taking these into account. Further, dilemmas that arise are introduced such as what is a sustainable sector or product and how this differs based on the values of individuals. The move from addressing sustainability issues as a risk reduction activity to a business opportunity is discussed. Finally, the Norwegian Pension Fund, the world’s largest fund, is used as an example to illustrate product-based and conduct-based exclusions in practice.

AbstractYou see it everywhere—the ponytail hairstyle. Before the influencers Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner, there were Barbie dolls and the movie stars Sandra Dee and Brigitte Bardot, and popstars Madonna and Beyoncé. Tennis star Serena Williams often sports a ponytail, and among women World Cup soccer players, countless. In this introduction, I outline a theoretical approach with which to show how and why the ponytail has become the hallmark of the female athlete and a total social phenomenon that answers to the experiential totality of modernity. I distinguish my approach from that of critical theorists who often argue that gender and femininities are all about social power relations and female subordination. Instead, I draw on multiple cultural theories about hair, bodies, and icons to argue that a total social fact like the ponytail is only iconic, imitated, and useful if it is polyvocal. A cultural sociology shows how the ponytail, as a material and corporal object, is imbued with codes, narratives, and myths that allow its wearers to access public culture and social inequalities in deeply personal, even existential ways.

Abstract The use of antibiotics in animal agriculture is steadily increasing, especially in developing countries. The European Union and a handful of developed countries have implemented policies to scale back the use of antibiotics, recognizing its role in the global rise of antibiotic resistance. But many farmers who raise animals live in poor countries without public health regulations, or work for large corporate entities that can move their operations to places with weak regulations. To minimize the careless use of antibiotics around the world, we need multi-lateral coordination between states on some common standards for the use of antibiotics in animals.

Abstract To move beyond a material understanding of women's relationship to climate change, this chapter explores a care work framework that explicitly includes women's participation in subsistence agriculture, while expanding climate change frameworks to consider care work. The case of Honduras is used in the current study to reflect on the need for and opportunities of this framework. Through this case study, subsistence agriculture is reconceptualized as a vital contribution to household and community agriculture. This is done by broadening the definition of care work, and by positioning agriculture within a corporeal-material-socio-cultural framework that reconnects the various 'food domains'.

AbstractAll over the world, education—which could be understood as a universal right and public good—is facing processes of economization and privatization. Technology—which could be understood as a common means of production, collaboratively developed—is taken away from the public and put into corporate hands. This article is designed as a conversation investigating the question of shared and common knowledge from the perspectives of an educator and an engineer, respectively. The dialogue explores necessary convergences in radical practices of commoning, and possible future strategies for education and Open Technology. It asks how new models can challenge the neoliberal agenda and move away from established policies, and how a collective re-appropriation of the means of production could emerge within a post-digital society.

This research aims to study the factors influencing interest in stablecoins using convenience sampling from a nationwide sample by collecting data through online Google Forms distributed on platforms such as Facebook and Line. We first show that claims that the Biden stimulus was the major cause of inflation are mistaken: the key data series – stimulus spending and inflation – move dramatically out of phase.
