Résumé L' équilibre financier des régimes de retraite, lorsqu'une population vieillit ou qu'une profession décline, a été une préoccupation constante dans les travaux de Jean Bourgeois- Pichat. Il y avait déjà un article sur le sujet dans Population en 1950 et une étude spécifique du corps médical en 1953. Le mariage avec la théorie des populations stables a donné une orientation originale aux travaux des Nations Unies sur ce point, et Jean Bourgeois-Pichat n'y était pas étranger. On en retrouve des traces sous sa signature dans divers travaux, mais surtout dans deux articles sur le financement des retraites par capitalisation. Un prolongement vers un système mixte répartition-capitalisation est esquissé ici et sera précisé dans Nuevas fronteras de la demografia.

Résumé Cet article décrit la vie professionnelle de l’adulte sexagénaire, selon son appartenance sociale. On a interviewé 65 sujets de 63 à 67 ans de la région administrative 03 du Québec, choisis au hasard et répartis a priori selon les variables suivantes : classe socio-économique, sexe et secteur de travail. Les résultats révèlent que l’adulte de 63 à 67 ans est aux prises avec son entrée toute prochaine dans la période de la retraite. Selon le cas, cette étape est vécue comme une orientation vers une destinée surtout collective (classe moyenne), universelle (classe défavorisée) ou individuelle (classe aisée).

Abstract Background and Objectives Aging women are continuously underrepresented in performing arts. An exception to this trend in Québec is Fabien Cloutier’s latest play Bonne retraite, Jocelyne (2018), whose protagonist is a middle-aged woman who has decided to take early retirement. This article aims at examining the interplay between the protagonist’s voluntary early retirement, gender, social class, and family relationships. Research Design and Methods This article mobilizes the theoretical framework of aging studies, which is underdeveloped in the French academic sphere. This qualitative case study connects gender issues and performative strategies in order to study a complex phenomenon within its context. Results We showed that Cloutier provides new representations of middle-aged women in his play, a corrective to the under-representation of such an age group of actors and actresses in Québec. Our results cast a new light on the combination of class privilege, gender, and ageism, as a most fruitful research orientation to be further developed in the future in order to pursue an in-depth analysis of early retirement. Discussion and Implications The play reveals that belonging to the upper-middle class is essential in order to be able, economically speaking, to retire early. Cloutier empowers Jocelyne both as an aging individual and as a woman by means of granting her the right to make her own decisions in life.

Les services de réadaptation post-réanimation à orientation respiratoire sont des structures de soins offrant un nouveau modèle de prise en charge spécialisée pour les patients présentant un sevrage ventilatoire prolongé et/ou une défaillance critique persistante à l’issu d’un séjour prolongé en réanimation. La principale défaillance chronique persistante est la dépendance ventilatoire prolongée à laquelle s’associe généralement une constellation « syndromique » de modifications physiologiques, conséquences du séjour en réanimation, comme la dénutrition, la neuromyopathie (locomotion, déglutition), le delirium, les lésions cutanées et un état d’immunodépression. Au-delà de l’activité spécifique de sevrage ventilatoire et du retrait de la canule de trachéotomie, les missions de soins au SRPR sont complexes et multidisciplinaires impliquant une prise en charge nutritionnelle, une réhabilitation motrice, la gestion des comorbidités (décompensation), le soulagement des symptômes, une prise en charge psychologiques, et la planification du projet de soin en concertation avec le patient et son entourage. Cette mise au point aborde le concept de défaillance critique persistante post-réanimation et des enjeux de santé publique qu’il représente, retrace l’historique du développement des SRPR à orientation respiratoire ainsi que leurs principaux éléments structurels et de fonctionnement, pour enfin développer les grands axes de prise en charge thérapeutique.

Après le départ d’une partie disproportionnée des plus de 50 ans au cours des années 2000, il y a quelques signes d’un engagement récent des banques suisses en faveur du « vieillissement actif », c’est-à-dire le maintien en emploi des salarié·es âgé·es. Cet article examine ce changement d’orientation. À partir d’entretiens menés avec des travailleurs et travailleuses âgé·es (50+), des managers et responsables RH, ainsi que de l’analyse des rapports officiels, nous explorons les politiques de gestion de l’âge adoptées dans deux grandes banques suisses. L’analyse permet de montrer que le discours officiel en faveur d’une prolongation de la vie active s’adosse à une vision négative du vieillissement au travail, qui est associé à l’obsolescence des compétences et aux difficultés d’adaptation au changement, organisationnel ou technologique. Logiquement, les travailleurs et travailleuses âgé·es sont sceptiques quant à la sincérité de ce changement de politique et prennent leurs distances à l’égard de ces initiatives. Nous montrons que l’évacuation historique des travailleurs et travailleuses âgé·es du secteur bancaire helvète a laissé des traces profondes dans les esprits. Dans ce contexte spécifique, l’adoption de politiques de « gestion de l’âge » tend à être perçue comme une nouvelle forme de discrimination à l’égard des seniors.

The advent of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has dramatically changed the outlook for patients with cardiovascular disease. However, room for improvement and advancement remains in the safety, speed, and efficiency of manually guided PCI. In recent years, the CorPath robotic platform (Corindus Inc., Waltham, MA) has been approved to aid the interventionalist during PCI and other endovascular interventions. Favorable results in several clinical studies suggest that robotic-assisted PCI may further improve patient outcomes while also benefiting the interventionalist through reduced orthopedic strain and less exposure to ionizing radiation. In this report, we communicate our experience with the first-in-human use of a new, optional automation feature that has been added to the platform’s guidance software. This “Rotate-on-Retract” feature is designed to facilitate faster and more precise maneuvering of the guidewire through tortuous vessels by automatically rotating the guidewire whenever it is retracted by the operator. This movement changes the tip’s orientation in preparation for the next advancement. We evaluated this feature in a patient undergoing PCI to treat a severe (90% stenotic), long, diffuse, and calcified lesion of the proximal to mid LAD segments.

In a paper from 2009, a half magnetic monopole was discovered by Ausoni, Dundas, and Rognes. This describes an obstruction to the existence of a continuous map $K(ku) \to B(ku^*)$ with determinant like properties. This magnetic monopole is in fact an obstruction to the existence of a map from $K(ku)$ to $K(\mathsf{Z},3)$, which is a retract of the natural map $K(\mathsf{Z},3) \to K(ku)$; and any sensible definition of determinant like should produce such a retract. In this paper we describe this obstruction precisely using monoidal categories. By a result from 2011 by Baas, Dundas, Richter and Rognes $K(ku)$ classifies 2-vector bundles. We thus define the notion of oriented 2-vector bundles, which removes the obstruction by the magnetic monopole. We use this to define an oriented K-theory of 2-vector bundles with a lift of the natural map from $K(\mathsf{Z},3)$. It is then possible to define a retraction of this map and since $K(\mathsf{Z},3)$ classifies complex gerbes we call this a determinant gerbe map.

Shape memory polymer composites (SMPC) are a new kind of smart materials where many researches have been carried out. In SMPC, shape memory polymers serves as a matrix material and particles or fibers act as reinforcements. As structural applications demand structures to withstand load and stiffness, particles reinforced SMPC does not serve for it. Therefore fiber/fabric reinforced SMPC used widely for such applications. SMPC’S changes its shape during a typical thermo-mechanical cycle and retracts to its original shape upon external stimulus (temperature). Molecular mechanism is the driving force of these SMP’s. SMP consists of 1.molecular switches and 2. netpoints. This project deals with Epoxy shape memory resin (Matrix material) and fabrics such as Glass, Kevlar and Carbon (Reinforcements).A Comparative analysis was carried out to find which combination gives the best results by bend test. Different orientations were tried for bidirectional fabrics such as (0/90)3, (0/45)3, ((0/90)/(±45)/(0/90)) specimens. Finally it was concluded that Carbon fabric which has the orientation of (0/90/±45/0/90) gives better shape memory performance.

Résumé Pour comprendre la crise de l' État-providence et spécialement celle des retraites, l'auteur analyse ici l'évolution du risque vieillesse depuis la fin de la deuxième guerre mondiale. Il montre comment s'est constitué le paradigme de la vieillesse pendant les Trente Glorieuses (pensions, carrières professionnelles, modes de vie, identité sociale), comment il a progressivement évolué et quelles orientations il prend actuellement. Il développe l'idée que le problème central du risque vieillesse à chaque époque est celui de l'allocation des ressources (travail, temps libre, revenus...) tout au long de l'existence et que nous allons vers des carrières flexibles, des retraites flexibles et un « Welfare Pluralism » : une nouvelle gestion des âges et des temps sociaux qui remet en question le contrat social existant.

Résumé Une recherche effectuée auprès de personnes qui ont reçu un diagnostic de schizophrénie a visé à décrire les styles de réinsertion associés positivement et négativement à un maintien dans le milieu. L'approche adoptée allie une orientation anthropologique et un souci de rigueur dans la collecte et l'analyse des données. La réinsertion est décrite sons trois angles : les relations sociales, les rôles sociaux et l'espace-temps. Les données indiquent que les personnes qui sont réhospitalisées à répétition vivent un sentiment de marginalité et d'exclusion, particulièrement par rapport à la famille et à la parenté, et que ce sentiment contraste avec le maintien d'attentes relativement normatives par rapport à la réinsertion; dans leur cas, l'univers psychiatrique tend à jouer un rôle structurant par rapport à la réinsertion. Les personnes qui n'ont plus été réhospitalisées sont par contre caractérisées par un style de réinsertion dominé par ce que nous avons qualifié de «retrait positif». Différentes hypothèses d'ordre psychologique, social et culturel sont évoquées pour rendre compte de ce dernier trait. Une perspective interculturelle suggère entre autre que certaines caractéristiques des sociétés nord-américaines interviennent pour biaiser le «retrait positif» dans le sens du retrait.

According to the study's findings, the Holland Career Aptitude Test, which gauges psychological traits, identifies distinct types and degrees of career preferences among college students. College students should receive employment advice based on their career kinds, and it should also be done to match their career tendencies with job openings. Students with unusually low career aptitude ratings should be retrained or used as needed.

Le but de cet ouvrage est de présenter des approches interculturelles sur les diverses transitions ponctuant le trajet de vie. Les principaux thèmes examinés sont : premièrement, les facteurs qui influencent l'entrée sur le marché du travail; deuxièmement, les transitions qui marquent le passage de la vie professionnelle à la retraite; troisièmement, les relations existant entre les orientations personnelles et les contextes structurels au sein desquels s'inscrivent les biographies. Les essais forment un ensemble de travaux de recherche quantitative et qualitative, où abondent les contributions du secteur de la politique sociale. Quantitative prediction of transformation textures in steel becomes possible if a variant selection rule is taken into account, in which ferrite nucleating on austenite grain boundaries prefers to have orientation relationship with two neighboring austenite grains at the same time. The mathematical model of the variant selection rule is described and some examples of simulation in transformation textures in hot-rolled steel sheets are presented using the textures of retrained austenite and the misorientation distribution function method. An excellent agreement is attained between the predicted and experimental ferrite textures.

Résumé Jusqu’à récemment le mode de déglaciation dans les Laurentides occidentales était mal connu. À l’est, la Moraine Mars-Batiscan constitue la seule position frontale continue identifiée entre la Moraine de Saint-Narcisse et la Moraine de Sakami. Comme la Ceinture morainique de Cartier I, en Ontario, la Moraine Mars-Batiscan est maintenant associée à la fin du Pléistocène. Le territoire à l’étude est un transect, du Saint-Maurice au Témiscamingue, qui fait la jonction entre la Moraine Mars-Batiscan et la Ceinture morainique de Cartier. La cartographie systématique des formes glaciaires du transect à partir de photographies aériennes à l’échelle de 1/15 840, validée sur le terrain, a permis de reconstituer le patron de déglaciation. À l’est du transect, nous observons une inflexion de la marge glaciaire qui redevient relativement linéaire vers l’ouest selon une orientation générale ENE-OSO, avec plusieurs lobes et rentrants mineurs. La topographie est l’élément local qui régit le tracé du front glaciaire. La durée de la déglaciation entre les marges latitudinales du transect est de 600 ans, entre environ 11,46 et 10,86 ka cal. (10 000 et 9580 ans 14C BP). Une légère accélération du retrait glaciaire succède à la phase de la Moraine Mars-Batiscan, suivie de taux de retrait relativement constants. Le tracé des nouveaux isochrones précise celui des modèles antérieurs de déglaciation de la région Mattawa-Témiscamingue, puisqu’il montre un front de déglaciation linéaire et sans rentrant notable dans l’axe de l’Outaouais-Témiscamingue pendant la période étudiée.

The class of all such trees (with a fixed labelling alphabet) has an algebraic interpretation, as a free object in the class of adequate semigroups. We consider here a natural subclass of these trees, defined by placing a restriction on edge orientations, and show that the resulting algebraic structure is a free object in the class of left adequate semigroups. Through this correspondence we establish some structural and algorithmic properties of free left adequate semigroups and monoids, and consequently of the category of all left adequate semigroups.

In this review, we explore the intriguing realm of neurogenesis in the vestibular nuclei—a critical brainstem region governing balance and spatial orientation. We retrace almost 20 years of research into vestibular neurogenesis, from its discovery in the feline model in 2007 to the recent discovery of a vestibular neural stem cell niche. We explore the reasons why neurogenesis is important in the vestibular nuclei and the triggers for activating the vestibular neurogenic niche. We develop the symbiotic relationship between neurogenesis and gliogenesis to promote vestibular compensation. Finally, we examine the potential impact of reactive neurogenesis on vestibular compensation, highlighting its role in restoring balance through various mechanisms.

The research study aims at developing a reliable partner relationship management (PRM) scale specific to Indian automobile sector. The review of literature on PRM has revealed a need to develop such scale for more effective implementation of PRM practices with sound value-laden relationship between the manufacturer and the channel partners. Literature review is followed by questionnaire development through depth interview with some of the automobile manufacturers and channel partners belonging to the northern and southern regions of India. A questionnaire survey was carried out and a standard methodology was used consisting of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis for analyzing data and ultimately for scale development. Findings of the study revealed PRM as a multidimensional construct comprising five factors, namely organizational structure, trust, commitment, customization and market orientation. These factors should be given the utmost importance for relationship enhancement among channel partners specifically in the Indian automobile sector. The novelty of the research work lies in proposing a reliable and valid measurement instrument for enhancing PRM effectiveness.

Nickel-based superalloys exhibit pronounced elastic anisotropy and, hence, the local grain orientation strongly affects the stress and strain distribution in the material under mechanical loadings. Therefore, the crack initiation and failure behaviour of components made from nickel-based superalloys are complex and hardly predictable. A better fundamental understanding of the phenomena that occur in nickel-based superalloys under a quasistatic and cyclic load is therefore desired. Previously, a continuum mechanics-based model has been successfully developed, considering the grain structure, the elastic anisotropy, and the Schmid factor, based on data from electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). The E·m model was confirmed by the finite element method (FEM) simulations and experimental observations regarding the resulting average stresses and strains in the individual grains as well as the formation of slip bands under a quasistatic load with few restrictions. The behaviour under cyclic loadings has been investigated in this work to correlate the mechanical behaviour, simulated by the previously developed FE models, with the local stiffness and Schmid factors considering fatigue failure. For this purpose, the fatigue behaviour of Inconel 617 samples was characterised up to the high-cycle fatigue (HCF) regime, accompanied by EBSD measurements for stress amplitudes that resulted in strains close to the elastic–plastic regime. The EBSD data were used to create digital twins of the samples to simulate the mechanical reaction to a displacement similar to the associated strain of the fatigue tests. An analysis of the fractured samples by scanning electron microscopy was performed to retrace the location of the crack initiation supported by the EBSD measurements before and after fatigue testing. Two samples were investigated in detail that showed different fracture types. Sample 1 showed transcrystalline failure in a grain that showed a high Young’s modulus, Schmid factor, and resolved shear stress that indicates a failure due to the properties of the grain itself. In contrast, an intercrystalline failure was observed for sample 2 that showed large differences in the orientation and, hence, largely different mechanical properties in the area of failure as well. The observed failure types, the resulting stresses and strains calculated by the FE model, and the consideration of the E·m model showed an agreement of all the methods. Therefore, the findings of this work complement previous investigations of the mechanical behaviour of coarse-grained anisotropic nickel-based superalloys with a focus on the orientations of the grains towards the loading direction.

Deux directions majeures d'écoulement glaciaire sont identifiées : l'une, ancienne, vers le SE (125°) attribuée à un centre de dispersion localisé vers la baie d'Hudson, mais d'âge inconnu; l'autre vers le SSO causée par la dernière glaciation du Wisconsinien. Ce dernier mouvement est identifié par des formes fuselées (045-225°), des stries (035-215°) et par des débris erratiques provenant du bassin du lac Misstassini, au NE. Lors du retrait de l'inlandsis, dans le secteur ouest de la région, la bordure du glacier s'écoulait vers le SO et l'OSO, influencée par la présence du lac Ojibway : le mode dominant des orientations des segments d'eskers (055-235°) est interprété comme une preuve complémentaire de cet écoulement tardif; dans le secteur E, par contre, près de la ligne de partage des eaux, les marques d'écoulement vers le S sont abondantes. Une seule nappe de till de fond est identifiée. Une séquence de faciès de fusion (till stratifié et d'ablation) lui succède. Des déformations glaciotectoniques démontrent que la glace est active lors du dépôt des faciès stratifiés. Les contraintes exercées sur le front glaciaire par les reliefs et les eaux du lac Ojibway commandent un réseau de crevasses conjuguées à 25°: des moraines « mineures » (de De Geer?) de dimensions et d'espacements très variables y sont mises en place. Leur espacement ne peut être utilisé qu'avec prudence pour évaluer le taux de retrait glaciaire de cette région. Le niveau relatif supérieur du lac Ojibway est réévalué à environ 445 m. Une tourbe datée à 7600 BP (à 420 m) indique une afforestation rapide après l'exondation.

AbstractShame leads to devaluation of the social self, and thus to a desire to improve self-esteem. Money, which is related to the notion of one’s ability, may help people demonstrate competence and gain self-esteem and respect from others. Based on the perspectives of feelings-as-information and threatened ego, we tested the hypothesis that a sense of shame heightens the desire for money, prompting self-interested behaviors as reflected by monetary donations and social value orientation. The results showed that subjects in the shame condition donated less money (Experiment 1) and exhibited more self-interested choices in the modified decomposed game (Experiment 2). The desire for money as reflected in overestimated coin sizes mediated the effect of shame on self-interested behavior. Our findings suggest that shame elicits the desire to acquire money to amend the threatened social self and improve self-esteem; however, it may induce a self-interested inclination that could harm social relationships.

Abstract Minimally invasive procedures such as Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) require powerful, small, and flexible instruments. A cable-driven instrument was developed, which is able to retract tissue to create sufficient space for an actual operation (e.g. cholecystectomy). In this paper, the work space of a developed instrument is presented. The work space is calculated using direct kinematics equations and verified by measurement using an electromagnetic (EM) tracking system. The angular orientation of the instrument can be up to 85° with a length of the active section of 60 mm. However, a longitudinal rotation up to 17° becomes apparent. This is due to the characteristics of the steel cable used for actuation. Nevertheless, the instrument reaches the intended work space. Further measurements are necessary to evaluate the instrument’s behavior under payload and whether this affects the work space.

Pour ce faire, nous nous proposons d’étudier le rôle central joué par le psychiatre Emmanuel Régis (1855-1918) pour la planification puis l’instauration progressive de ces classes à partir de l’année 1900. En revenant sur leur mise en place administrative, sur les critères retenus pour le recrutement des élèves, sur leur programme et sur leur fonctionnement, notre but est de mieux comprendre, en les contextualisant, les choix opérés par Régis. Pourquoi des classes de perfectionnement au sein d’écoles ordinaires plutôt que des instituts médico-pédagogiques autonomes ? Cette création relève-t-elle de la volonté de l’aliéniste ou d’une orientation voulue alors par le système éducatif ? L’éclaircissement de ces questions nous permettra aussi d’évaluer les prétentions novatrices du projet.

The effect of tensile stress on the orientation and phenotype of arterial smooth muscle cells (SMCs) cultured in three-dimensional (3D) type I collagen gels was morphologically investigated. Ring-shaped hybrid tissues were prepared by thermal gelation of a cold mixed solution of type I collagen and SMCs derived from bovine aorta. The tissues were subjected to three different modes of tensile stress. They were floated (isotonic control), stretched isometrically (static stress) and periodically stretched and recoiled by 5% above and below the resting tissue length at 60 RPM frequency (dynamic stress). After incubation for up to four wk, the tissues were investigated under a light microscope (LM) and a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Hematoxylin and eosinstained LM samples revealed that, irrespective of static or dynamic stress loading, SMCs in stress-loaded tissues exhibited elongated bipolar spindle shape and were regularly oriented parallel to the direction of the strain, whereas those in isotonic control tissues were polygonal or spherical and had no preferential orientation. In Azan-stained samples, collagen fiber bundles in isotonic control tissues were somewhat retracted around the polygonal SMCs to form a random network. On the other hand, those in statically and dynamically stressed tissues were accumulated and prominently oriented parallel to the stretch direction. Ultrastructural investigation using a TEM showed that SMCs in control and statically stressed tissues were almost totally filled with synthetic organelles such as rough endoplasmic reticulums, free ribosomes, Golgi complexes and mitochondria, indicating that the cells remained in the synthetic phenotype. On the other hand, SMCs in dynamically stressed tissues had increased fractions of contractile apparatus, such as myofilaments, dense bodies and extracellular filamentous materials equivalent to basement membranes, that progressed with incubation time. These results indicate that periodic stretch, in concert with 3-D extracellular collagen matrices, play a significant role in the phenotypic modulation of SMCs from the synthetic to the contractile state, as well as cellular and biomolecular orientation.

Interlimb coordination of crawling kinematics in humans shares features with other primates and nonprimate quadrupeds, and it has been suggested that this is due to a similar organization of the locomotor pattern generators (CPGs). To extend the previous findings and to further explore the neural control of bipedal vs. quadrupedal locomotion, we used a crawling paradigm in which healthy adults crawled on their hands and feet at different speeds and at different surface inclinations (13°, 27°, and 35°). Ground reaction forces, limb kinematics, and electromyographic (EMG) activity from 26 upper and lower limb muscles on the right side of the body were collected. The EMG activity was mapped onto the spinal cord in approximate rostrocaudal locations of the motoneuron pools to characterize the general features of cervical and lumbosacral spinal cord activation. The spatiotemporal pattern of spinal cord activity significantly differed between quadrupedal and bipedal gaits. In addition, participants exhibited a large range of kinematic coordination styles (diagonal vs. lateral patterns), which is in contrast to the stereotypical kinematics of upright bipedal walking, suggesting flexible coupling of cervical and lumbosacral pattern generators. Results showed strikingly dissimilar directional horizontal forces for the arms and legs, considerably retracted average leg orientation, and substantially smaller sacral vs. lumbar motoneuron activity compared with quadrupedal gait in animals. A gradual transition to a more vertical body orientation (increasing the inclination of the treadmill) led to the appearance of more prominent sacral activity (related to activation of ankle plantar flexors), typical of bipedal walking. The findings highlight the reorganization and adaptation of CPG networks involved in the control of quadrupedal human locomotion and a high specialization of the musculoskeletal apparatus to specific gaits.

At play in the disciplinary disagreements that arise are different orientations to time, and different imaginaries of Himalayan climate futures based on images of, and data about, glacial retreat. It is the complexity of glaciological knowledge production that this article creates space to understand. At stake is an effort to hold up, for social science audiences, the disparate knowings – between and among disciplines – that impact how Himalayan glacial melt is discussed and imagined. Résumé L'inquiétude pour le destin des glaciers himalayens est saillant dans la recherche sur le changement climatique. Le constat du retrait des glaciers façonne largement les imaginaires de notre ruine à venir. L’émotion est à son comble lorsque les spécialistes de science sociale préoccupés par l'effondrement de la calotte glaciaire sont confrontés aux vues de glaciologues de renom qui minimisent l’étendue de la fonte des glaces. The urgency of the development and improvement of the legal and regulatory support of administrative educational procedures, the transition from centralization to decentralization, the formation and implementation of innovative educational management and increasing the efficiency and flexibility of the state educational policy are considered as priority areas for reforming the administrative educational system. The need to introduce the intellectual management in the field of education, transformative learning technologies and digital education at different stages of the educational process is highlighted.

Manual collection of floor eggs in cage-free hen housing systems is time-consuming and laborious. The objectives of this study were to (1) develop a robot to automatically collect floor eggs and (2) optimize the performance of recognizing and picking eggs with the robot. The robot consisted of a deep-learning-based egg detector, a robot arm, a two-finger gripper, and a hand-mounted camera. The deep-learning model, You Only Look Once (YOLO) V3, was embedded in the vision system to detect and locate eggs on a simulated litter floor in real-time. Image processing algorithms (e.g., cropping, erosion, etc.) were implemented for the detection and provided the robot with centroid coordinates, orientation, and axis lengths of the detected eggs, so that the gripper could be manipulated with an appropriate angle and opening width to grasp the detected eggs. For optimization, the YOLO V3 model was retrained with a dataset of floor eggs and achieved >93% performance in detecting and locating eggs. The kernel size of 65 × 65 pixels for erosion and dilation in image processing assisted in extracting the geometry features of eggs with the least remaining noises. Among the tested materials, soft grouting sponge attached to the gripper had the highest success rates for egg picking. The robot achieved 92% to 94% success in picking white and brown eggs. In sum, the developed egg-collecting robot can be relied on for picking floor eggs to assist in precision management of cage-free hen housing systems. In this work, Discrete Wavelet Transform based image compression algorithm is implemented for decomposing the image. The various encoding schemes such as Embedded Zero wavelet, (EZW), Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees(SPIHT) and Spatial orientation Tree Wavelet(STW) are used and their performances in the compression is evaluated and also the effectiveness of different wavelets with various vanishing moments are analyzed based on the values of PSNR, Compression ratio, Means square error and bits per pixel. The optimum compression algorithm is also found based on the results.

Purpose of the study: to identify the dynamics of internal professional mobility (level of motivation, pedagogical reflection, innovation orientation, style of educational communication) of teachers ‒ participants of the program to increase internal professional mobility. They belong to the “Transitional” generation, which appeared in the Soviet Union and the “Information” generation, which was established in the period of perestroika.
 Methodology: The subjects of the study are high school teachers, Russia. The comparative psychodiagnostic method was used before and after the training program. The purpose of data collection was to fill in the methodology forms. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, methods for determining the significance of differences in indicators.
 Main Findings: Before the program, teachers of the “Transition” generation expressed a desire to retrain and be active in innovation, and teachers of the “Information” generation expressed a desire to make suggestions. The motivation to avoid failure prevailed in the groups. Pedagogical reflection prevailed among teachers of the “Transitional” generation. After passing the program, teachers began to show motivation for achievement and teachers of the “Information” generation increased their pedagogical reflection.
 Applications of this study: The research can be useful in the field of methodological support for improving internal professional mobility of teachers. Teachers must constantly change to offer new and interesting projects for students that belong to another generation. Internal attitudes, values, motivation, innovative orientation, and communication style of the teacher affect the success of students and reduce the stress of teaching activities.
 Originality of this study: the study complements the idea of the influence of the factor ‒ generation ‒ on balancing the pedagogical activity of teachers, their readiness to change, and their high motivation to new projects. The professional mobility program increases their subjective well-being and harmonizes educational communication between teachers and students.

Cette contribution retrace d’abord les étapes de la constitution de la didactique de la langue maternelle, en ré-évoquant les demandes sociales auxquelles cette discipline a dû répondre, et en mettant en évidence aussi bien les orientations communes que les différences d’approches et de types de recherches, liées aux ancrages disciplinaires. Elle analyse ensuite les travaux accomplis ce dernier quart de siècle dans le domaine de l’expression écrite, en tenant compte de ces différences: d’une part les recherches pour la didactique de l’écrit, portant sur le statut et les représentations de cette activité, sur les classements et modèles de genres de textes, et sur les processus impliqués dans leur apprentissage; d’autre part les recherches en didactique de l’écrit, se concrétisant soit en une didactique des genres de textes, soit en une didactique de l’activité d’écriture, et se prolongeant en recherches sur l’analyse des pratiques effectives de l’enseignement-apprentissage. Elle évoque enfin trois nécessités d’avenir: poursuivre l’intégration des différents courants de la discipline; redéfinir et réorganiser les objectifs d’apprentissage des élèves; réformer les dispositifs de formation des enseignants.
