Abstract (sommario):

This article aims to show the potential of corpus research for observing the dynamic processes of grammatical categorization in modern Danish. The study focuses on the functioning of secondary demonstrative pronouns formed by combinations of deictic pronouns with adverbs of spatial localization. These are combinations of proximal deixis pronouns (denne, dette, disse) or distal deixis pronouns (den, det, de) with adverbs of proximal (her) or distal (der) spatial localization.
