We investigate an implementation of the multi-level or ℓ-level k-range data structure. The ℓ-level k-range is compared to naive and R*tree search over N randomly generated k-dimensional points. Results indicate that multi-level k-ranges are not competitive due to their (previously unreported) complexity. We show that storage is S(N,k,ℓ) = O(N1+2(k-1)/ℓ) and S(N,k) = Θ(N1+2(k-1)/ log 2N). Our results also indicate that the ℓ-level k-range requires Q(N,k,ℓ) = O((2ℓ)k( log N + A)) time for range search, for A = number of points reported in range.

Aspects of the home range and space-use patterns of the common wallaroo or euro (Macropus robustus erubescens) were studied over a three year period in arid New South Wales. Thirty-five adults (19 males and 16 females) were captured and fitted with radio-transmitters and their movements followed. The home ranges of the majority of animals were significantly different from that of a bivariate normal distribution, indicating a heterogeneity of space use. Home ranges were small and essentially stable over time. There were significant differences between the sexes in all parameters of home range m

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract The development of peatlands is considered a contributor to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions originating from land clearing, burning, and land management. Greenhouse gas emissions are one of the factors causing climate change and global warming. One of the main greenhouse gas components of peatlands is methane. This study aims to determine the effect of conversion of peat land to smallholder plantations on the amount of CH4 emissions and the water table. This research was conducted in the smallholder farming at Kalampangan Village, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province, Indone

The research carried out aims to utilize bagasse waste and determine the characteristics of bio-coal briquettes made from bagasse waste with the addition of coal. This research was conducted with reference to a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the comparison of the composition of the main raw materials in the form of bagasse and coal (P) which includes four treatment levels, namely 100%: 0% (P0), 40%: 60% (P1), 60%: 40% (P2) and 80 %: 20% (P3).The second factor is the concentration ratio of tapioca adhesive which includes three tre

This research aims to analyze fish size, the relationship between length weight and condition factors of Lompa fish. A total of 628 fish samples were collected using cast net fishing gear, from October – November 2023. The results showed that the total length of the fish ranged from 6 – 6.5 cm and body weight ranged from 1,703 – 13,072 grams. The relationship model for the length and weight of male fish W = 0.0102L2.8294 and female fish W = 0.0119L2.7501, and the comb
