Examensarbetet undersöker hur och varför geografilärare på gymnasiet tar upp frågor om region och regional identitet i allmänhet, och i synnerhet med koppling till Öresundsregionen. Kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med fem pedagoger. Resultatet från undersökningen visar att begreppet region används i stor utsträckning i undervisningen. Regional identitet används däremot inte i lika stor utsträckning som begrepp men finns med som innebörd.
