The world has been encountering a COVID-19 pandemic since late 2019. The world’s people have also witnessed the free movement of wildlife, even in many urban areas in some countries during the imposed lockdown. A study of the species composition of birds at the Nizhneangarsk airport (Northern Baikal, Buryatia) and the adjacent territories within a radius of 15 km was carried out. Birds were censused weekly from January 1999 to January 2001 along Ilha Comprida beach, a barrier island off São Paulo, southeastern Brazil.
