Teza/cel artykułu – W artykule poruszono zagadnienie zastosowań technologii radiowych w bibliotekach, zarówno w zakresie telekomunikacji bezprzewodowej (technologie sieciowe), jak np.: Wi-Fi czy WiMAX, jak również w obszarze urządzeń bliskiego zasięgu, jak np. współpracujące urządzenia zarządzania danymi personalnymi. Przedstawiono też bezprzewodowe systemy pozatelekomunikacyjne, działające w ramach pasma ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical radio band). W ostatnich latach do bibliotek wkroczyła nowa, bezprzewodowa technologia zaliczana do urządzeń bliskiego zasięgu – tzw. identyfikacja radiowa, tj. RFID – Radio Frequency Identification, która zmienia i optymalizuje ich działanie w zakresie organizacji i kontroli zbiorów, procesów wypożyczeń oraz zwrotów. Pojawienie się w tym zakresie normy ISO 28560 – Information and documentation – RFID in libraries wytycza nowy etap automatyzacji bibliotek. Rozwinięciem technologii RFID są też nowe technologie takie jak NFC – Near-Field Communication) oraz tzw. Internet przedmiotów (Internet of Things - IoT), które w najbliższym czasie mogą mieć szerokie zastosowanie w świecie bibliotek, szczególnie w powiązaniu z technologiami mobilnymi. Metody badań – Problematykę zastosowania technologii radiowych w bibliotece przedstawiono na podstawie polskiej i obcej literatury przedmiotu, jak również na postawie obserwacji własnych oraz informacji uzyskanych na konferencjach, wystawach międzynarodowych oraz prezentacjach organizowanych przez firmy. Wyniki i wnioski – Zastosowanie technologii radiowych w bibliotekach okazuje się bardzo przydatne. W najbliższej przyszłości technologie te dostarczą bibliotekom nowych narzędzi i nowych możliwości w zakresie rozwoju usług dla użytkowników, jak i w zakresie usprawnienia pracy bibliotekarzy. Do tej pory biblioteki dość ostrożnie stosowały nowe technologie komunikacyjne. Jednak wobec rosnącej presji związanej z koniecznością wprowadzania sprawniejszych metod pracy będą one jednak musiały wdrażać innowacyjne rozwiązania, co spowoduje potrzebę zastosowania szybkich technologii radiowych.

Technologie wspierające prywatność (Privacy Enhancing Technologies, PET) stwarzają zagrożenie ładu społecznego. Wskazuje na to analiza ich ideologiczno-politycznych fundamentów oraz uregulowań prawnych wprowadzających ograniczenia w zakresie ich używania, a także analiza ich faktycznych zastosowań w działalności cyberprzestępczej. Opracowanie ma charakter przeglądowy i praktyczny, dokonano w nim autorskiego stypologizowania technologii wspierających prywatność. Ocenie poddano wybrane instrumenty informatyczne, które są najpowszechniej używane oraz stanowią potencjalne i rzeczywiste zagrożenie. Są to: oprogramowania zapewniające anonimową komunikację (Tor, Freenet, Linux Tails, Whonix), ekosystemy kryptowalut umożliwiające anonimową wymianę handlową (Monero, Zcash, Dash) oraz aplikacja, która pozwala na szyfrowanie danych (VeraCrypt). Podsumowanie jest próbą wskazania modelowych atrybutów technologii wspierających prywatność na podstawie wcześniej przeprowadzonych analiz. Privacy Enhancing Technologies – ideology, law and implementations Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PET) create a threat to the social order which is shown in the analysis of their ideological as well as political foundations and legal regulations that introduce restrictions on their use. Study into their actual applications in cybercriminal activity proves it too. This paper is a review with practical purpose and includes an original typology of PET. The most commonly used IT instruments that create a potential and actual threat were selected and analysed: software ensuring anonymous communication (Tor, Freenet, Linux Tails, Whonix), cryptocurrency systems enabling anonymous trade (Monero, Zcash, Dash) and an application enabling data encryption (VeraCrypt). The summary includes an attempt to extract the model attributes of privacy-enhancing technologies on the basis of previous analyses.

Les progrès technologiques ont permis le développement d'applications de capteurs sans fil. Les capteurs densément distribués impliquent le plus souvent de faibles débits de données et de faibles portées de transmission. L'efficacité énergétique demeure une contrainte importante pour la conception des réseaux de capteurs sans fil. Pour ces applications, les noeuds sont généralement déployés avec des ressources énergétiques réduites et le remplacement d'une batterie peut être coûteux. Plusieurs méthodes peuvent être utilisées pour minimiser la consommation d'énergie dans ces réseaux. Dans cette thèse, nous nous concentrons sur la couche physique et sur la réduction de la consommation d'énergie des méthodes de transmission en utilisant des modulations à faible énergie. Une première étude nous permet de déduire que pour un canal BBAG, le codage à minimum d’énergie basé sur la modulation OOK est efficace énergétiquement, mais au prix d’une efficacité spectrale réduite. Seule la puissance de transmission est considérée et la consommation des circuits électroniques n’est pas prise en compte. Ensuite, des modèles de consommation d'énergie différents sont introduits afin d’obtenir une analyse de l'efficacité énergétique de transmetteurs réalistes. Le fait que le codage à minimum d’énergie améliore l'efficacité énergétique est confirmé et les limites des circuits électroniques pratiques sont mises en évidence. Enfin, le protocole réseau est abordé par l'introduction du protocole de contrôle d'erreurs ARQ. Finalement, l'efficacité énergétique d'une télécommande autonome est améliorée en utilisant la modulation orthogonale OOK et un véritable démonstrateur est présenté
Technological advances have resulted in the development of wireless sensor applications. The densely distributed sensors, generally used for data gathering, environmental monitoring, industrial automation or surveillance, involve often low data rates and low transmission ranges. Despite the progress in software and hardware technologies, the energy efficiency is still one of the important constraints for the design of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). For wireless sensor applications, nodes are usually deployed with reduced energy resources and without capability of battery replacement. Several techniques could be used to minimize the energy consumption of WSN. In this thesis we focus the physical layer and we propose to reduce the energy consumption by using low energy coding schemes. Firstly, a study allows us to deduce that in AWGN channel, Minimum-Energy Coding based on OOK modulation is energy efficiency, but at the price of lower spectrum efficiency. Only the transmission power is considered and the consumption of electronic circuits is not taken into account. Then, different energy consumption models are introduced to achieve energy efficiency analysis using realistic devices. The fact that Minimum-Energy coding based on OOK improves the energy efficiency performance is confirmed and the limits of practical circuits are highlighted. At last, the network protocol is addressed by introducing the ARQ error control protocol. Finally, the energy efficiency of an autonomous remote control is improved by using OOK orthogonal modulation and a real demonstrator is realized

L'objet de cette recherche est une etude exploratoire et empirique de l'interet que represente pour les organisations l'usage d'une nouvelle technologie de communication, la visioconference. Une enquete a ete realisee en france, en 1990, aupres des responsables de projets de visioconference d'une vingtaine d'organisations, principalement de grands groupes multi-etablissements. Bien que cette technologie, encore emergente au sein des organisations, suscite des interrogations sur les plans techniques (fiabilite encore incertaine, normalisation en cours. . . ), economiques (avantages financiers par rapport aux deplacements, variables suivant les cas) et socio-organisationnels (reticences des utilisateurs potentiels. . . ),. . . Cet outil fait l'objet d'une utilisation effective, quoique inegale, au sein des organisations detentrices de ces equipements. Deux types d'usages principaux, les reunions et les conferences, correspondent a deux configurations techniques distinctes qui contribuent a figer les usages ulterieurs. L'enquete a permis de determiner que l'outil semblait adapte pour des situations de reunions a faible complexite et a faible incertitude, telles que, par exemple: des reunions successives, dont l'objet n'est pas a dominante informelle, internes a l'organisation concernant des groupes de participants homogenes et qui se connaissent deja. . . Au-dela de ces limites, la visioconference s'avere un atout, pour les directions de ces organisations, en terme de coordination par une augmentation des possibilites d'ajustement mutuel et de supervision directe, mais aussi en terme d'acces a l'information par des possibilites de pertinence et de rapidite accrues

D'une part, les entreprises sont amenées à restructurer leurs systèmes et circuits de communication, tant internes qu'externes. Ces mutations structurelles sont fondamentales car elles tendent à transformer les phases du processus de production, ainsi que l'agencement interne des groupes de travail qui y participent. D'autre part, les infrastructures de télécommunication, en rendant une certaine forme de transparence informationnelle à l'espace, élargissent l'environnement économique perçu par les organisations industrielles. Contributions due to the use, by firms, of new information and communication technologies, can be observed from two main levels. On one hand, firms tend to re-structure their communication systems and channels, both inside and outside. These are basic structural changes, since they tend to transform the stages of the production process, as well as the internal organization of the working groups involved. On the other hand, telecommunication infrastructures are extending the economic environment of the industrial organizations as they provide them with a kind of transparency -in terms of information. Combining these two viewpoints makes possible an original analytical approach of the present network of local activity

Cette thèse a pour objet l'étude des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (TIC) en tant que Technologie Générique (TG) ainsi que leur rôle dans l'évolution de la productivité du travail aux Etats-Unis et en Europe durant les dernières décennies. La thèse est constituée de trois parties axées chacune sur l'une des trois propriétés fondamentales des TG: le progrès rapide de la technologie, l'ubiquité de la technologie et la capacité à créer des opportunités technologiques. La première partie décrit, dans un premier chapitre, l'innovation dans le domaine des TIC, en commençant par un bref historique de ces technologies, suivie d'une analyse des données contemporaines sur l'innovation dans ce domaine. Elle montre en particulier comment les Etats-Unis ont été, jusqu'à présent, plus performants que les pays Européens dans le développement des TIC. Dans un deuxième chapitre, cette première partie inventorie les difficultés de mesures induites par la vitesse et la nature du changement généré par ces technologies. La seconde partie de la thèse traite de la nature ubiquitaire des TIC. Elle décrit d'abord la diffusion des TIC au cours du temps à travers les pays et les secteurs économiques, puis, établit une revue de la littérature sur la contribution directe de la diffusion des TIC à la croissance de la productivité du travail aux US et en Europe. Le second chapitre de cette partie s'intéresse au comportement de demande de facteurs de production dans les secteurs producteurs de TIC ou intensifs en utilisation des TIC. Enfin, la troisième partie de la thèse se concentre sur la capacité des TIC à générer des opportunités d'innovation. Pour cela elle identifie d'abord la nature des innovations complémentaires et les efforts menant à ces innovations. Elle montre alors la nécessité d'améliorer la comptabilité nationale afin de prendre en compte ces efforts comme des investissements. Cette partie révèle ensuite que, dans les onze pays européens étudiés, le problème est particulièrement concentré sur quelques pays qui investissent peu en TIC et en actifs innovants et que ces deux types d'efforts sont complémentaires
This thesis aims to study Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a General Purpose Technology (GPT) and their role in the labor productivity evolution in the United States and Europe during recent decades. This thesis is organized in three parts corresponding to the fundamental GPT features: the wide possibilities for development, the ubiquity of the technology and the ability to create large technological opportunities. The first part depicts, at first, the innovation in ICT, beginning with a short historical review of ICT inventions followed by the analysis of current data on innovation in this field. In particular, it shows how the US was better than the European countries in inventing ICT until now. Second, this first part makes an inventory of measurement difficulties due to the rate and the nature of the change created by such technologies. The second part of the thesis deals with the ubiquitous nature of ICT. It first describes the ICT diffusion across countries and industries and reviews the economic literature on the direct contribution of ICT on labor productivity growth in the US and Europe. The next chapter studies the factor demand's behaviour in sectors that are either ICT producers or ICT intensive users. The third part focuses on the ICT ability to create opportunities for complementarity innovations. Firstly, it identifies the nature of ICT complementary innovations and the corresponding efforts. It shows, then, that national accounts must be improved in order to take these efforts into account as investments. Secondly, this part shows that, among the eleven European countries studied, the problem is highly concentrated in a few countries that invest less both in ICT and in innovative assets and that these two types of effort are complementary

Cette thèse traite des aspects informationnels et communicationnels des alliances stratégiques. Elle essaye de nous faire comprendre comment les différents stades d’une alliance stratégique sont influencés par les compétences des partenaires en communication ainsi que par l’interface à travers lequel les partenaires coopèrent. Plus précisement, la thèse traite (i) de l’impact des compétences des partenaires en NTIC (nouvelles technologies d’information et de la communication) sur la structure des alliances, (ii) du choix des médias de communication dans le cadre des alliances stratégiques, (iii) comment le choix des médias de communication peut apporter des changements au niveau de la confiance entre les partenaires, et (iv) des conséquences sur la performance des alliances stratégiques. Pour étudier ces sujets, nous prolongeons les théories de la communication existantes sur le domaine de la communication inter - entreprise et nous insérons ces théories avec les approches contractuelles et les approches par les compétences de l’entreprise. Les arguments sont examinés en adoptant une méthodologie mixte mêlant à la fois étude de cas et approche empirique. Les données de l’approche empirique sont recueillies auprès deux groupes de personnes : membres de l’Association des Professionnels des Alliances Stratégiques et anciens participants du master exécutif en alliances stratégiques de l’INSEAD. This dissertation brings to the forefront the informational and communicational aspects of strategic alliances. It examines how different stages of the lifecycle of an alliance are influenced by the communication capabilities of the partners and the interface through which the partners interact. More specifically, the dissertation investigates (i) the impact of firms’ ability to exchange a large information amount (IT capability) on the alliance design, and in particular on the governance structure and the alliance scope, (ii) the choice between information amount and information richness in alliances, (iii) how this choice influences changes in the levels of trust between the partners, and (iv) implications of the above for alliance performance. These issues are examined by extending existing communication media theories to the domain of interorganizational communication and by combining them with contractual and competence perspectives. Evidence for the arguments is provided from a mix of survey and qualitative data. The survey data were collected from two groups of people: Full members of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals and alumni participants of the INSEAD executive program on strategic alliances. The qualitative data were collected through face-to-face interviews with key informants

L'environnement dans lequel evoluent les entreprises est de plus en plus complexe. Il requiert une rapidite et une faculte de decision encore peu courantes pour construire des avantages competitifs, dont on finit par decouvrir le caractere transitoire, car rapidement annules par une concurrence exacerbee. Parallelement, on assiste a un essor considerable des ntic1. Si la modification de l'environnement est une source de perturbation, elle s'assimile egalement a une occasion de creation d'avantages competitifs, notamment avec l'adoption de ces nouvelles technologies. Aujourd'hui, les entreprises doivent s'adapter. Des transformations fondamentales sont necessaires. Elles touchent a la nature des organisations et a la facon dont leur activite est envisagee. Mais si ces transformations sont necessaires, et surtout possibles, c'est avant tout parce que l'information est devenue une ressource vitale dans le fonctionnement des organisations. L'idee qui sous-tend ce discours est qu'il est desormais possible grace a ces technologies, de creer de nouvelles formes d'organisation, mieux adaptees aux nouvelles contingences economiques. Cependant, l'introduction d'une nouvelle technologie est une condition necessaire, mais loin d'etre suffisante pour transformer l'entreprise. Les ntic ne relevent pas d'un mode d'organisation unique, en revanche, elles appellent une serie de choix entre des options techniques et organisationnelles. Le changement technologique est fondamentalement interactif. L'implantation des ntic s'inscrit dans un cadre organisationnel determine, qu'elles contribuent en retour a modifier. Dans ce contexte, les questions relatives aux choix organisationnels et technologiques ainsi que les relations existant entre technologie et organisation occupent une place centrale dans les debats theoriques. Notre travail s'inscrit dans cette perspective, il s'agit d'analyser l'impact de ces nouvelles technologies en termes de transformations organisationnelles. La question se pose de savoir si les nouveaux modes d'organisation des entreprises et les nouvelles formes d'organisation du travail sont un effet des ntic ou la cause de leur developpement. From a general point of view, it may be said that the importance of information within the firms is but me reflection on such social organizations of something that is changing at a global level, wich is said to be entering a new order that has been termed as postindustrial society, or information society amongst other definitions. Nevertheless, in the information society, changes in organizations caused by the introduction of new information technologies are inevitable as organizations are compelled by external environment to be efficient and competitive in order to survive. On a technological level, the progress and generalization of the so-called new information technologies have also played a major role in conferring information ressources me strategic character they possess within organizations. Once mis has been said, one of the purpose of our work is to present our hypothesis that the role to be played by new information technologies within thes organizations should consist on puttin the power of these technologies at the service of an efficient management of information ressources, thus opening a way to have at our disposal the quality in information as required by any firm deserving to be described as adpatable, quick responding, aware of the threats and opportunities of an increasingly internationalized environment, and willing to cater for any present and potential needs of its customers. Information under its various shapes, communication, and their related notions, have now become the key-concepts of our representation of the world and of ourselves. However, more than a mere scientific concept, the notion of communication, born in the bosom of what was called cybernetics, has gradually been instituted a value identified to modernity and the free movement of scheme which highlights transparency, rationality and the free movement of information. La conception du documentaire a changé et, avec cela, les possibilités de créer des histoires non-fictives et les formes associées aux techniques. Dans ce contexte, nous nous intéressons à la pratique documentaire et à l'influence d'outils et de dispositifs tels que la réalité virtuelle et la réalité augmentée, l'utilisation d'applications mobiles et le développement de travaux web.Nous défendons la thèse selon laquelle la technologie influence les formes de représentation du documentaire et a provoqué l'évolution des formes narratives qui doivent être repensées dans leur contexte de création. Cela signifie que la recherche de productions documentaires reposant sur des supports numériques a besoin d'un cadre ouvert et interdisciplinaire pouvant couvrir leur complexité. Grâce au caractère international que l'accord de cotutelle contribue à ce travail, des méthodes visuelles sont insérées dans une enquête dans le cadre d'études visuelles. Tout cela façonne l'approche épistémologique du présent travail.Afin d'analyser l'apport des techniques numériques aux qualités communicatives du documentaire et de connaître l'évolution des formes de représentation, nous avons choisi une méthodologie visuelle. Nous nous appuyons sur trois études de cas dans lesquelles nous appliquons notre propre méthodologie, qui inclut la création d’une pièce audiovisuelle interactive. Tout cela est finalement complété par l'analyse d'un échantillon de documentaires sélectionnés.Les résultats du travail nous montrent en quoi l'évolution du documentaire, parallèlement à l'évolution de la technologie, place le spectateur au centre de l'histoire. Le documentaire devient une expérience multisensorielle créée pour une consommation individuelle dans laquelle l'utilisateur acquiert un rôle central
The conception of the documentary has changed, as well as the possibilities of creating fiction narratives and the forms associated with the techniques. In this context, we are interested in documentary practice and the influence of tools and devices such as virtual reality and augmented reality, the use of mobile applications and the development of web works on the web.We defend the thesis that technology influences the forms of representation of the documentary and has led to the evolution of narrative forms that must be rethought in their context of creation. This means that research on non-fiction productions based on the digital medium needs an open and interdisciplinary framework that can encompass its complexity.Thanks to the international character that the co-tutelage agreement contributes to this work, visual methods are inserted in in a research within the framework of visual studies. All this shapes the epistemological approach of this work.We have opted for a visual methodology with the objective of analyzing the contribution of digital technologies to the communicative qualities of the documentary and of knowing the evolution of the forms of representation. We rely on three case studies in which we apply our own method. It is a composite method in which we include the creation of an interactive audiovisual piece. All this is complemented finally with the analysis of a sample of selected documentaries.The results of the work tell us how the evolution of the documentary, in parallel with the advancement of technology, puts the viewer at the center of the story. The documentary becomes a multisensory experience created for an individual consumption in which the user acquires a central role

Silicon photonics-based beam scanning technology is expected to be introduced into short-distance free-space optical (FSO) communication applications such as inter/intra rack communications in data centers and indoor mobile communications in beyond-5G mobile communications [1]. In this report, we present our recent work about a broadband two-dimensional (2D) Si beam scanning device shown in Fig. 1 that integrates 128-port three-dimensionally-structured optical surface couplers known as “elephant couplers”[2-4]. This device can realize high-capacity FSO signal transmission by introducing wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) technology. The fabricated device shows a fiber-to-fiber insertion loss of 5.6 dB and a 1-dB spectrum bandwidth of 40 nm.

This paper addresses the design, development, and operations of a portable wireless airborne voice and data communication system that permits use of cell phones without violating the regulatory restrictions of the FCC or FAA. This same system also serves to integrate Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) information into a single interoperable solution for improved situational awareness and command and control using commercially available edge devices such as smart phones and tablets. The Airborne Communication Platform™ (ACP), an optional enhancement to the Airborne Flight Reporting System™ (AFRS), provides an affordable, yet robust and FAA and FCC-compliant "black box" for a wide range of real-time voice and data communications between air and ground assets. Through a combination of multi-modal radios and programmable cellular frequencies, both voice telephony and data telemetry are possible using commercial-grade cell phones switched to "Airplane Mode." This enables voice and data communications outside of the restricted frequency range stipulated by either FAA or FCC for aircraft operations. Advantages include sending real-time flight performance, ADS-B information, and systems health and usage data while simultaneously permitting global voice communications on the ground and enroute at any altitude.

Dans un monde technologique en pleine mutation, le nombre d’appareils connectés explose et le domaine des télécommunications doit suivre le rythme en offrant une connectivité toujours plus robuste et fiable, tout en assurant une emprunte énergétique la plus faible possible. Les nouvelles générations de technologies sans fils mobiles (la 5G aujourd’hui et la 6G demain) cherchent ainsi à exploiter de nouvelles bandes de fréquences pour éviter la saturation du spectre radiofréquence (RF) actuel. Dans ce contexte, la communication sans fil par voie optique (Optical Wireless Communication - OWC) est une solution notamment pour les environnements intérieurs. D’autre part, l’utilisation de cellules et modules photovoltaïques pour la récupération d’énergie ambiante est étudiée actuellement pour la réception de données par voie optique. Ce concept récent associant des expertises interdisciplinaires dans les domaines de l’énergie et des télécommunications permet d’envisager l’alimentation en énergie des dispositifs communicants de l’internet des objets (IoT), tout en leur apportant une fonctionnalité de réception OWC. Ce travail décrit ainsi les principes de base de la technologie OWC et propose un état de l’art synthétique sur l’utilisation de photorécepteurs photovoltaïques pour cet usage innovant.

Les imprimantes 3D existent depuis plusieurs décennies et le principe général de la fabrication additive est de déposer des couches successives de matériau afin dobtenir un volume, à partir d’un modèle défini à l’avance grâce à une interface informatique. Depuis quelques années, ces imprimantes sont utilisées dans le domaine médical : ainsi, les chirurgiens peuvent obtenir une réplique en résine d’une situation clinique afin de planifier leur geste chirurgical pour réaliser des interventions moins invasives. Par ailleurs, on peut aujourdhui imprimer certains biomatériaux synthétiques sur mesure afin dobtenir des greffons personnalisés basés sur limagerie tridimensionnelle d’un patient. Ces applications utilisent sur des imprimantes fonctionnant principalement sur le principe de la stéréolithographie (photopolymérisation sélective de résines photosensibles) ou bien du dépôt à chaud de fil fondu : ces technologies ne permettent pas dutiliser des composés biologiques tels que des cellules ou des biomolécules. Plus récemment, des imprimantes 3D dédiées à l’impression déléments biologiques (Bio-Impression) ont été développées. On distingue la Bioimpression assistée par laser, la bioimpression par jet dencre et lextrusion dhydrogels. Ces trois méthodes présentent des points communs (utilisation d’une encre biologique, modélisation du motif à imprimer et pilotage de limprimante par une interface informatique, impression couche par couche). Cependant, en fonction de la technologie utilisée, la résolution et le volume des motifs imprimés peuvent varier de façon importante. Les machines permettant d’imprimer à haute résolution ne sont habituellement pas adaptées lorsquon cherche à obtenir des volumes importants ; de la même façon, lorsqu’une technologie permet d’imprimer des volumes importants, il est souvent difficile dobtenir de hautes résolutions dimpressions. De ce fait, on doit parfois combiner plusieurs technologies pour produire certains assemblages complexes. Ainsi, il est primordial de définir finement ses objectifs avant de choisir une technologie de bioimpression. Les applications des imprimantes 3D de tissus biologiques (Bio-imprimantes) sont toutes dans le champ de lingénierie tissulaire et aujourdhui presque exclusivement dans le domaine de la recherche. Les méthodes permettant d’imprimer à haute résolution trouvent des applications principalement en biologie cellulaire lorsquon cherche par exemple àé valuer les capacités de communication de plusieurs types cellulaires : en effet, il est possible de créer des motifs réguliers en imprimant des gouttes de bioencre contenant chacune quelques cellules avec la technologie laser. Par ailleurs, d’autres technologies basées sur lextrusion permettent de manipuler des amas cellulaires (sphéroïdes) et de les organiser entre eux, ce qui peut trouver des applications dans le domaine de la cancérologie. En combinant les technologies, on peut aujourdhui mettre en place des modèles d’étude pharmacologiques qui pourraient à terme se substituer à certaines expérimentations animales et ouvrir la voie à certaines thérapies ciblées. Enfin, la fabrication dorganes par bioimpression (« Organ Printing ») reste aujourdhui du domaine de la science fiction, même si quelques équipes travaillent sur cet aspect. Les imprimantes 3D biologiques apportent donc de nouveaux outils pour le chercheur dans de nombreuses applications en biologie et en médecine régénératrice. Le choix de la méthode la plus adaptée à L’objectif de L’étude est primordial afin dutiliser au mieux ces technologies.

Communication via satellite is the only method for communicating between the ocean and land. However, present commercial satellites cannot provide sufficient bandwidth to transmit the requisite volume of data. The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) and the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) conducted broadband satellite communication experiments with the Wideband Inter-Networking engineering test and Demonstration Satellite (WINDS). Using WINDS, the tele-operation of a hybrid remotely operated vehicle (HROV), Otohime, was also carried out successfully.

Abstract (sommario):
Dans le but d’accompagner les services préhospitaliers d’urgence du Québec dans leur transformation vers le numérique, ce rapport de recherche examine les défis et les leviers à une transformation vers le numérique réussie selon trois perspectives : la technologie, le fonctionnement et la gouvernance. Sur le plan technologique, les auteurs constatent que plusieurs chantiers sont en cours simultanément et que les solutions technologiques sont développées de manière locale sans normes nationales établies. Au niveau du fonctionnement, la standardisation des opérations est vue positivement, bien qu’il soit important de laisser une marge de manœuvre pour tenir compte des particularités régionales. Une optimisation du fonctionnement des opérations pourrait aussi passer par une meilleure intégration au continuum de soins. Du côté de la gouvernance, les Centres de communication de santé (CCS) s’accommodent généralement bien de la structure de gouvernance actuelle, mais les relations entre les acteurs sont inégales d’une région à l’autre. La conciliation entre les perspectives des différents acteurs impliqués (privés, publics, OBNL) représente un irritant pour la gouvernance des services préhospitaliers dans certaines régions. Leurs analyses et constats s’appuient sur (1) une revue de la littérature scientifique, (2) un inventaire technologique sommaire des différents CCS basé sur des entretiens et une revue documentaire, ainsi que (3) la réalisation d’entretiens semi-dirigés auprès de l’ensemble des intervenants clés des CCS, des CISSS et CIUSS et de représentants du ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS).

The National Research Foundation (NRF) requested the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf), on behalf of South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) and the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), to undertake an independent and objective evaluation of potential alternative telecommunication technologies for the areas of the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas (KCAAA). The study encompasses regulatory, public sphere, and technical dimensions to explore options for maintaining the functionality of the telescope while, at the same time, delivering appropriate connectivity solutions for local communities.The objectives of this study are as follows: 1) Assess the technologies currently being, or planning to be, deployed through existing alternative communications programs managed by SARAO, including whether these technologies are comparable with market available technologies that could feasibly be deployed in the KCAAA; and 2) Assessment of current and future telecommunication technologies that may act as suitable replacement and/or improvement (functional and feasible) for existing detrimental technologies, utilised in the KCAAA. This report provides a critical background into the relationship between the SKA and local communities as it relates to ICTs in the area. Based on this understanding, potential technology solutions are proposed to ensure residents of the KCAAA are still afforded valuable access to information and communication technologies (ICTs) within the parameters of affordability, desirability and feasibility.
