A methodology for knowledge acquisition from terminology databases is presented. The methodology outlines how the content of a terminology database can be mapped onto a knowledge base with a minimum of human intervention. The purpose of this study is to examine beer reviews to see what descriptors are identified and used to describe beers. Also, the domains APPEARANCE, AROMA, FLAVOUR, MOUTHFEEL and OVERALL IMPRESSION are analysed.
