In Brendan Behan's An Giall and The Hostage, song and dance establish atmosphere and character, comment ironically on the action, relate the characters to one another in a union of society's outcasts, and valorize life, love, healthy and open sexuality, and mutual comfort over the rules and regulations (and those who live by them) of a repressive, hypocritical, moribund, even murderous society. Thus, they provide a thematic structural underpinning, supporting and, at the same time, commenting on the essential unity of the plays' actions as they guide the audience's response to their themes. In An Giall, the counterpoise of religion, destructive nationalism, and life-celebrating songs and dances subtly establishes and develops its central theme: the doomed struggle of youth, love, and joy to survive in a death-oriented society. In The Hostage, the increased reliance on song and dance to convey more diverse and subtle political concerns leads to greater complexity in their use. Not only do they establish atmosphere, theme, and character; link and divide characters; undercut sentimentality and hypocrisy; satirise society; and celebrate love, sexuality, youth, and fun; but, in doing so, they provide a unity of purpose and theme for the play which replaces the more traditional unity of action.

Abstract (sommario):
This study aims to describe the learning of leadership characters in the 4th grade social science subject at state elementary school Purwomartani, Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This was done because Indonesia seems to have lost its good leadership character which could become an example for children. This research is qualitative with data collection using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was performed through data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results showed that there are several leaders discussed in the 4th grade textbook of elementary school with the theme "My Hero" in social sciences subject. These leaders have different leadership characters, namely (1) the courage to defend truth, justice and expel colonialism are the characters of Prince Diponegoro, Sultan Hasanuddin, Cut Nyak Din, and Pattimura, (2) the spirit to unite the nation is a character of Gadjah Mada and Soekarno, (3) being persistent in teaching and establishing educational institutions are character of Ki Hajar Dewantara, (4) struggling to never give up and being willing to sacrifice to defend Indonesia's independence are the character of Bung Tomo, and (5) being able to realize the objectives of Indonesia's independence and inspire the younger generation are the character of President Soekarno. These findings have implications for learning social science subject with the theme of my hero, beginning with telling the leadership characters of the figures to be role models for students in their life.

The writer used a structural approach method in conducting this research. In the structural approach method, the writer completed the research by studying the internal aspects of the cerpen. Based on the analysis, it indicates that major-protagonist character in Mirror, Mirror on The Wall, Saya because the story is dominated by Saya. Mereka is called the major-antagonist character because they are the master mind of the conflict. The theme of the story is about life is made of choices. The data in this study were obtained from reading the short story “Der Tänzer Malige” by Johannes Bobrowski. Data collection using library techniques, which are in the from of reading and notes technique on the object of research. The results of this study are as follws, a description of the theme elements: soldiers, character elements: main characters and extras, plot elements: mixed plot, background elements: place setting (village and army barracks) and time setting (August 1939 at the end of the season. Heat), the element of mandate: a high social spirit, the element of perspective: the third person point of view (Er).the interrelationship between the intrinsic elements of the short story, where the theme, character, plot, space and time setting, mandate, and point of view, shows a structure that influences one another. These elements cannot be separated from one another.

This study aims to find out the intrinsic elements used in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and to determine how intrinsic elements relate to each other in the movie. This study used a qualitative method in researching which data are taken from utterances, dialogues, and narrations in the form of screenshots of the movie. This study found the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World used the plot, settings, characters, and theme as intrinsic elements. This study also found the intrinsic elements related to each other by the plot changes when a character was introduced. A new character when the setting of the place changed and the plot determined the theme of the movie.

The aim of this research is to obtain a deep understanding of character education in And The Mountains Echoed Novel written by Khalid Hosseini. This research used qualitative approach, content analysis method, through structuralism and semiotics study. Structurally, character education in this novel found in the theme, the plot, the characters and characterization, and the setting. Semiotically, the researcher found semiotics signs in And The Mountains Echoed novel relating to the character education, namely, index, symbol, and icon. The data were collected through a carefull reading of the novel, identification, and classification. The values taken are the combination between character education value from Pusat Kurikulum Balitbang Diknas and Lickona’s. However not all values are captured, among the 28 values, only thirteen caught from the novel. The values are hard working, religious, responsible, love, integrity, social care, never give up, thanks be to Allah, appreciating achievement, wisdom, creative, curiousity, and friendly/communicative. From the structure of the novel, the character education implemented explicitly and implicitly in the theme, the character and characterization, the setting, and the plot. While from the semiotics, the character education mostly found in the form of index, followed by symbol,and then icon.

This study aims to analyze the indicators of tolerance character contained in the material for the fourth grade students of SD Tema The Beauty of Diversity in My Country. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The research method used was content analysis. The data taken in this study were the load of tolerance characters in the sentences contained in the student books on social studies material. The subject used in this research is the book of the fourth grade students of the 2013 curriculum at the theme The Beauty of Diversity in My Country. The data analysis technique is done by reducing data, presenting the data which is divided into two stages, namely data classification, data description and interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that all indicators of tolerance character contained in textbook learning materials, the distribution of tolerance character indicators in learning materials was evenly distributed, except for the anti-phobia sub-indicators contained in the aspect of peace (not included in theme 7), techniques for integrating tolerance character indicators with material learning is carried out through reading texts contained in student books.

<p><em>Dewa Ruci text tells of the Bhima character's journey in running his swadarma as a disciple of Master Drona to fulfill the task of seeking tirtha amerta pawitra. From the story contained in the Dewa Ruci’s Text has a different phenomenon or contradictions between Bhima-Drona with tirtha amerta pawitra. Thus a more in-depth study of the character, essence and religiosity of Bhima's characters on his journey in the literary works of the Dewa Ruci Text is required. Based on these descriptions, in this study Bhima figures on the Dewa Ruci Text as the object of research, with the title "Bhima In the Text of Dewa Ruci (Hindu Theological Studies). </em></p><p><em>The results obtained in this study, that the structure that builds the Text of Dewa Ruci consists of synopsis, figure, incident, plot, background, theme and message. While the characters possessed by Bhima characters in Text of Dewa Ruci include obedient characters, ego and arrogant characters, strong character, honest character, unyielding character, knight character, wise character, and diligent character. The essence of Bhima's release in the Text of Dewa Ruci is contained in the discourse given by Hyang Dewa Ruci to Bhima, that all living beings must always be conscious of the self according to the way they choose based on karma (action), jnana (knowledge) and dharma. Thus, it will guide man to unite with the highest essence. The religiosity of the Bhima figures is reflected in Bhima journey which is a process of self-control and submission. In addition, the Bhima character's journey also reflects the holy journey that sanctifies itself so that he is able to meet with Hyang Dewa Ruci, in other words Bhima journey is a form of thirtayatra. As well as other theological teachings contained in the Text of Dewa Ruci is the existence of the concept of pramana as a concept that supports living things. By knowing this knowledge is expected Bhima as human depiction can reach moksartham jagadhitaya.</em></p>

The focus of this qualitative research is the feasibility analysis of 2013 curriculum thematic books at elementary school level character education perspective. This research through literature study describes, identifies, analyzes qualitatively about character education that appears in thematic books and their feasibility for teaching materials for elementary school age children. Character education in the thematic book title Obligations and My Rights published by the Ministry of Education and Culture, appeared 69 times. In sub-theme 1 appears 9 times, sub-theme 2 appears 15 times, subtema 3 appears 24 times, and in sub-theme 4 appears 21 times. Emerging character education is divided into 5 categories. Character education related to God, is related to oneself, related to fellow human beings, related to nationality, and related to the environment. The feasibility of thematic books in terms of character education is very feasible because character values appear as 69 times. This is also relevant to the structure of the 2013 curriculum which emphasizes meaningful learning. In the case of conveying character values when viewed in terms of children's cognitive development there are about 9 discussions that are not appropriate at the stage of concrete operational development. The model of dialogue has been of crucial importance for the philosophical-hermeneutic account of interpretation ever since Schleiermacher. In this essay we investigate how contemporary hermeneutics accounts for this model in terms of provisionality and how the attention to provisionality marks the contemporary hermeneutic conception of interpretation. We will do so by first exploring how the theme of provisionality arises in Martin Heidegger’s work on interpretation: provisionality appears out of Heidegger’s concern with the primacy of anticipation in interpretation. Subsequently, we will show how Hans-Georg Gadamer’s attention to dialogue incorporates the theme of provisionality: since no dialogue ever truly comes to an end, every dialogue invites its own continuation. Finally, we will discuss how Jacques Derrida’s account of dialogue radicalizes the conception of this provisionality: despite its invitation for continuation, dialogues are radically interrupted; consequently, an additional work of interpretation is needed to continue a dialogue beyond these interruptions.

<p class="apa">The aim of this study was to identify and characterize children’s perspectives on a picture book’s themes and characters by examining their drawings. The study was conducted over a five-month period in a public kindergarten in southern Taiwan, with six children aged 5-6 years. Picture book appreciation activities focused on eight picture books. Research data were collected via digital recordings of participants’ appreciation and art-making activities, interviews, and associate teachers’ feedback. A qualitative research method was used to process and analyze data. Study results indicate that with regard to theme, children could clearly identify and characterize a story’s theme but seldom offered in-depth interpretations. With regard to character, children could describe a picture book character’s outward appearance and inner feelings but could not present its inner feelings in their drawings. These and other findings from this study could aid early childhood educators in conducting picture book appreciation activities in the future.</p>

The goals of this research are (1) to describe the intrinsic such as the plot, the characters, spaces, and the theme, and the relationship between these intrinsic (2) to describe the psychological condition of the main character of the novel L’Adversaire of Emmanuel Carrere using psychoanalysis. The subject is L’Adversaire of Emmanuel Carrère novel which was published in 2000 by the POL Edition. Objects are (1) the intrinsic elements and the links between these elements in this novel (2) the psychological condition of the main character of the novel. The method used is descriptive-qualitative. The results are based on the basis of semantic validity. Reliability is considered by reading and interpreting the text, evaluated in the form of discussion with an expert. The results show that (1) L’Adversaire has a regressive plot. The story ends with the tragic end without hope. The main character is Jean- Claude Romand. A large part of the story happens in Ferney-Voltaire and Geneva. It takes place in the year of 1993. The social framework indicated life of the bourgeois class. The major theme is the life founded by the lie, and the minor themes are dishonesty and despair (2) psychoanalytic analysis shows that Jean-Claude has a condition of psychological instability, which is indicated by the imbalance of the part of me and superego. It causes the habit of lying to win a perfect life. Finally he suffered delusions and severe stress that causes the action to murder his family.

Panji's story is a classic romance originating from East Java. One variant of Panji's story is Wangbang Widèya: A Javanese Panji Romance. Research on this manuscript is rarely done, or there is research on the same topic, but different theoretical basis as a tool for study. The purpose of this study is to indirectly examine the literary aspect that possible further research coupled with intrinsic research. Research focuses on studying intrinsic aspects that include: theme, plot, character and characterization, and background story. This research is library study using qualitative research method. The source of this research data is Wangbang Widèya: A Javanese Panji Romance. This process begins with data collection in the form of primary and secondary data. The analysis comprises data reduction, data classification, and data display. In the final process of data display, it has presented data ready to be analyzed. The results show: (1) the theme of romance is an absolute theme in Wangbang Widèya: A Javanese Panji Romance; (2) the groove is loose because it is easily inserted with other stories that complement the story as a whole; (3) the characters and the characterizations are static, namely if the character is good then he will get the victory, but if the character is evil it will get defeated; (3) the settings in Wangbang Widèya: A Javanese Panji Romance cover the setting of place, time, atmosphere, and social aspect as the explanation of the character strata. Abstrak Analisis struktural digunakan oleh penulis dalam menganalisis cerpen Yabu no Naka dengan jalan memisahkan unsur-unsur pembentuk cerpen yaitu: tokoh dan penokohan, alur, latar dan pelataran, tema, dan amanat. Dialog-dialog yang dilakukan antar tokoh menyebabkan perwatakan masing-masing tokoh dapat terungkap lebih jelas. Pengaluran dalam cerpen Yabu no Naka menggunakan alur flashback (regresif) dan ada konflik yang terjadi yang berhubungan dengan tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan serta ada hubungan kausalitas antara peristiwa yang satu dengan peristiwa yang lain. Latar utama dalam cerpen Yabu no Naka ini adalah Yamashina, sebuah kota di Prefektur Kyoto. Tema utama dalam cerpen Yabu no Naka ini adalah pembunuhan dan pembenaran.Kata kunci: analisis struktural, regresif, alur Abstract Structural analysis is used by the writer in analyzing the short story of Yabu no Naka by separating the forming elements of short stories, namely: character and characterization, plot, background and court, theme, and date. Dialogues made between characters cause the character of each character can be revealed more clearly. The distribution in the short story of Yabu no Naka uses the flashback (regressive) flow and there is a conflict that occurs related to the main character and additional characters and there is a causal relationship between one event and another. The main setting in the short story of Yabu no Naka is Yamashina, a city in Kyoto Prefecture. The main theme in this short story of Yabu no Naka is murder and justification.Keyword: structural analysis, regressive, plot

The aims of the research are (1) to identify types of character through kalosara revitalization as an ethno-pedagogical media in social sciences (IPS) learning at junior high school (SMP), (2) to develop strategy of kalosara revitalization as an ethno-pedagogical media in the development of characters of students, and (3) to develop a model of student character education through kalosara revitalization in IPS learning in SMP as an ethno-pedagogical media. The research is conducted through naturalistic approach. The research subjects are social science teachers at the junior high school, junior high school principals, and local public figures. Data collection is conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Wawotobi representing a heterogenous student group. Data was collected qualitatively using domain and taxonomy analysis models. Research result indicates that: (a) there are 74 values identified and distributed in 18 types of character that can be developed through kalosara revitalization as an ethno-pedagogical media in social sciences learning in junior high school, (b) kalosara revitalization strategy, as an ethno-pedagogical media in the development of characters, is conducted in form of integration in each theme and sub-theme in the syllabus of social sciences subject, (c) The character education development model through kalosara values as an ethno-pedagogical media indicates that there are three strengths of the model, i.e.: it elevates the local culture into national culture, it is a scientific model, and it is easy to understand and implement by teachers and students.

<em>This research aims to explain: (1) characters character in the drama script Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar; (2) the inner conflicts experienced by the characters in the drama script Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar; and (3) the relevance of the drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar as a teaching material for drama appreciation at senior high school. This study uses a literature psychology study, which uses a psychological approach to knowing the character of the character through observation of behavioral characters. The results of this study are descriptions of: (1) the characterization of the characters in the Drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar which differ from each character. This is done to build a storyline that matches the theme of the drama script; (2) the inner conflicts experienced by the characters in the drama drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar are very complex. Every inner conflict experienced by a character can be described through psychoanalytic theory with a focus on the study of the id, ego, and superego; and (3) the relevance of the Drama of Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar as a teaching material for drama appreciation in high schools by paying attention to aspects of language, students' psychological development, and cultural background.</em>

The author of the article refers to the epic essence of Turgenev’s novel «Virgin soil» and proves that the genre definition of «public novel» in its standard sense does not convey the entire depth of the work. The problem of the «character» of the novel and the accuracy of Turgenev’s characteristics of the populist movement is considered in terms of the organization of the present by Turgenev as an epic time and an illustration of the possibility of combining the general (national) and the personal. The work shows that each of the characters of the novel is measured by an epic, folk measure – the ability to work and proximity to the land.

Every clause has its own character as a message which is known as thematic structure. Its elements are divided into theme and rheme. Therefore this research gives an overview about theme and its development in the text. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the types of themes contained in the Resort Guru Guru vol.6 brochure and (2) how the form of the thematic progression is contained in Resort Guru Guru vol.6 brochure. This research data is obtained from the written text contained in a brochure namely Resort Guru Guru vol.6. Data were analyzed by using thematic theory by Halliday and Mathiessen and theory of theme development by Paltridge. Based on the analysis, there are two findings in the analysis of items contained in the brochure that is (1) the fillers of theme in the clause is divided by types of clause consisting of declarative, interrogative, and imperative clauses. (2) the theme development pattern contained in this brochure consists of constant theme, linear theme, and split rheme, and there is also another pattern that is the development between rheme to rheme and between rheme to theme and rheme.

This research is to develop mathematics teaching materials that are integrated with elementary school thematic learning. The purpose of the development is to obtain mathematics teaching materials that prioritize the local wisdom of the Acehnese people. This teaching material is helpful for fifth-grade elementary school students in which there are character values for learning mathematics. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with the ADDIE model development research design. This research focuses on analyzing elementary school teachers who face the problem of integrated mathematics-based character education in thematic learning, then making initial designs and developing character education-based mathematics teaching materials that are integrated into the learning theme. The results showed that character education-based mathematics teaching materials were compatible with elementary students' thematic learning. Mathematics teaching materials focused on solving math problems for elementary students, integrating character values in mathematics with various themes in thematic learning by integrating each mathematics material into themes. The mathematics teaching materials developed were designed with various activities related to daily activities with straightforward language to be understood and made into a mathematical model.

The service program was held at MIM Paremono based on several identification problems such as teachers not using learning media in learning processes, lack of understanding about making learning media effective and efficient, and not caring characters environment in students. This service activity has several objectives, namely 1) Increasing the creativity of teachers and students in developing learning media, 2) Applying to students the character of environmental care. The specific target to be achieved through this service is 1) Train the creativity of teachers and students, 2) Cultivate the character of caring for the environment, and 3) Students can treat plants through the media of horta dolls. To achieve these objectives, carried out using the action research method. Stages of activities begin with preparations including permit activities, preparing technology and arranging schedules; implementation includes socialization, practice, and assistance; and preparation of reports. This study aims to investigate the Theme and Thematic progression patterns in students’ recount text in a state vocational school in Bandung. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative research design. The data were obtained from a collection of students’ texts. This study uses the theory of Theme system developed by Halliday (1994) and the theory of Thematic progression proposed by Eggins (2004) as the framework to analyze the data. The findings showed that the Theme and Thematic progression supports the character of Recount text written by the students to some extents: the Topical Theme represents the students’ ability to deliver what the text is about, the Interpersonal Theme helps students declare their personal comments, while the Textual Theme showed the students’ ability to develop the logical relationship between clauses and make their texts more cohesive and coherent. In terms of thematic progression patterns, the Theme Reiteration pattern signposts that the students tend to make the text focus by repeating the same element as Themes; the Zig Zag pattern showed that the students introduce newly information by promoting the Rheme in a clause to the Theme in the subsequent clause, and the Multiple Theme pattern specifies that the students develop the texts well according to the prior plan before writing those ideas in the text.

This study aims, (1) to analyze and describe student responses through the determination of themes and characterizations in the Asa and Forest Kalimantan short stories. Secondly, analyzing and describing environmental phenomena in the short story through student responses according to Garrard's concept. The theory used in this study is Greg Garrard's (2004) ecocritical theory. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population is 247 students. The samples were 28 students. Sampling is done by a purposive method. Research data sources, namely (1) short stories are downloaded via the web https://www.scribd.com, (2) questionnaires containing student responses. The research data is the students' responses according to the questionnaire given. Data collection is done through a questionnaire, read, and note down techniques. The validity of the data is done through the triangulation of theories and sources. Data analysis is carried out in stages: (a) reduction; (b) presentation; (c) the conclusion; and (d) verification of results. The results of this study indicate (1) Themes and characterizations. The theme of the Asa and Forest Kalimantan short stories is the theme of protection/preservation of the forest, the theme of animal hunting, and varied themes. Characterization, which is played by Asa figures who have never done damage to the forests of Kalimantan and Asa figures use nature as needed. In other words, the character of Asa has the character of ‘protect’ and is not greedy to nature; (2) environmental phenomena discovered through student responses are animal phenomena, namely natural destruction due to the hunting of Bornean Orang Utans.

Abstract : The background of this research is "The Ability to Identify Elements of Drama Text in Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 11 Kendari". The problem in this research is how is the ability to identify the elements of drama text for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Kendari? The purpose to be achieved in this study is to describe the ability to identify elements of drama text for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Kendari. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Kendari in the 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 4 classes with a total of 104. Based on the results of the study, of the 73 students who were research respondents, there were 38 students (52%) who obtained categories are able to individually identify elements of drama text. While 35 students (47%) obtained the category of being unable to individually identify elements of drama text. It can be concluded that the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Kendari in identifying the elements of drama text are categorized as incapable. That said, because classically the ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 11 Kendari in identifying elements of drama text only reached 52%. From the elements of the drama text, it can be seen that the elements most understood by students are the themes, character characters and mandates in the drama, while the setting of the place is still poorly understood by students. This can be seen in the acquisition of student scores in research. The elements of drama text include aspects of the theme (95.89%), aspects of 3 elements in dialogue (79.45%), aspects of the stages of the plot (34.24%), aspects of character characters (86.30%), aspects of the setting (17.80%), mandate aspect (98.63%). Of the six aspects assessed, there are three aspects that are categorized as capable, namely aspects of the theme, character character and mandate, while three aspects are classified as in the incapable category, namely aspects of the 3 elements in dialogue, stages of flow, and setting of the place. The Lottery is one of the most famous American canonicals written by Shirley Jackson (1948) which is sensational. The theme brought triggers controversy to contemporary critics. The story exposed one of the darkest dualities of human nature in ‘the lottery’ carried out by the society in the story. The controversial character in the Lottery which evokes social culture issue is analyzed by investigating the process types related to the character. Types of process are essential in the building characters or characterization. Thus, this study analyzed the main character of a literary work “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson (1948) using transitivity system of Systemic Functional Linguistic (SFL) approach. The data were all clauses related to Mr. Summers as the main character in this short story. They were analyzed using concept of transitivity system. The result shows that the author of the short story dominantly uses verbal process to construct the main character through his verbiage which is 52.63% of the total processes in clauses. In addition material process which also occupies high number (32.90%) after verbal process denotes that the character does activities in the domestic and physical domain. The relational process (7.89%) is used to characterize the characters explicitly. The mental process (5.26%) is used to depict the characters’ cognition while behavioural process (1.32%) is employed to a common activity.

As a medium of communication, a song has a great impact on children’s development. A small number of children song generate children to sing adult songs, however, there are some adult songs which are not suitable the children in relation to lyrics and theme. The incomprehension of the lyrics and meaning existed in the song can be psychologically influential for the child’s development. This study analyzes the role of Walt Disney’s cartoon soundtracks for character education to children. This is a qualitative-descriptive research, taking observation and in-depth interview to 10 informants who have children of 7-11 years old in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The results stated that the soundtracks How Far I’ll Go and Let It Go bring positive characters in contents that are useful for character education. The character education taken from lyrics of the songs is conveyed and developed by vocabulary enrichment, the discussion in easy-digested language, and storytelling. These require special time. The good changes in children’s good characters happen by time and process. Therefore, character education needs to be continued and developed in different ways.

In the last chapter of Ethics and the Limits of Philosophy, Bernard Williams brings to a conclusion a sustained attack on the pretensions of moral theory by arguing against the allegedly objective reality of moral obligation. It had been a theme of the book that, while there can be answers to the questions of how one should live and order one's social relationships—answers which, in a given culture, go to make up its ethics—there is no place for a morality or a moral theory which would claim to give externally binding answers to such questions. We will be explaining the notion of an ‘externally binding answer’ later in this paper, but for the moment we can take such an answer to be one that applies to people irrespective of their beliefs or desires. Williams considers Kant to have been the main proponent of the notion of morality in this sense, with the latter's stress on obligation as central to the institution of morality.

Previous relevant studies on theme parks lack an exploration of various tourism attributes, e.g., recreational facilities, themes, wait times, fast pass drawings, and pricing, etc., all of which inspired the research motivation of this study. First, the Choice Experiment (CE) method explores tourists’ preferences for theme park attributes. Second, the Conditional Logit (CL) and Random Parameter Logit (RPL) models explore the differences in tourists’ willingness to pay (WTP) for various attributes from the perspective of their socioeconomic background. We used purposive sampling to survey questionnaire answers face-to-face in Taiwan, and a total of 680 questionnaires were issued, of which, 549 copies are valid, with an effective recovery rate of 80.7%. The research findings suggest the following: (1) The most valued theme park attributes for consumers are the recreational facilities, followed by theme characteristics, and fast pass drawing. (2) Regarding the respondents’ WTP for various attributes, they are willing to pay the highest price for thrilling recreational facilities, then for unlimited fast pass services, and cartoon character themes. (3) Respondents believe that if thrilling recreational facilities and fast pass drawing are available at the same time, then the overall effectiveness will be improved. (4) Respondents relatively have no purchase intention for fast pass drawing. It is hoped that the research findings can provide theme park operators reference basis for making plans and decisions.

The data collection techniques used in this study were document analysis techniques and interviews. The data validity techniques used were data triangulation and source triangulation.The results of this research showed that the structural elements that build include: the theme of education, groove mix, setting a place located in Bandung, Jakarta, Maninjau, America, and England, the personality, the standpoint of using the technique of acknowledgment and the message to consistently pursue ideals.Through the three dimensional character is obtained figures of Alif and Dinara. The personality of the main characters in the novel, analyzed using Freud’s psychoanalytic theory which includes three personality structures Id, Ego, and Superego. Novel Rantau 1 Muara also contains the value of hard work education found on the main characters, Alif and Dinara. Novel Rantau 1 Muara is relevant to the learning of literature appreciation in high school class XII.</em>

As cri¬teria for comparison the following things are selected: the genre in which the book is written, the presence of specialized terminology, the narrator of the story, the subjects of relationships, the gender and age of the main character, the description of the symptoms of autism and the nature of that description, the dynamics of the state and the climax of the literary work. The conclusion is drawn that the works of fiction on autism are aimed at informing the society of the problem, improving tolerance towards people with autism and supporting all those who are personally affected by autism.

This article focuses on the theme of illness within the dialogue between the character of Job and his ‘friends’ (Job 3—37). It looks specifically at the different explanatory models used by the characters to interpret and contextualize Job’s condition and explores language of sin and blame in illness. A key contribution of this article is to highlight the problematic nature of moralizing and searching for meaning during illness and to emphasize the need for greater empathy.

The Aristotelian theme of the identity of the intellect and of the intelligibleis of the utmost importance in Averroes' noetics. This latter, studied in the Latin translations that the Latin philosophers of the thirteenth century scrutinized, rigourously develop this theme so as to preserve the supraempirical and transcendant character of necessary truth that human thinking identifies, thereto sacrificing the individual uniqueness of the intellective operation in its final instance. A Latin Master of the thirteenth century, Thomas Aquinas, adopts Averroes' insight into the transcendence of the noetic, and confirms it, even as he defends the strictly personal character of human intellection.

The German female writer Charlotte Kerner has created a series of works on the theme of science and technology to explore the relationship between people and technology and nature. One of the most striking features of his work is the frequent appearance of the "double" motive. This phenomenon is most evident in the book Blueprint. This article explores the "double" motive in the novel Blueprint from the perspectives of "mother-daughter doubles" and "person-painting doubles". This paper analyzes the aesthetic effect of its performance, and then studies the relationship among the motive, the author's aesthetic strategy and the theme of the work. In addition, it is concluded that "double" is full of dialectical philosophy of opposition and unity. It not only highlights the author's aesthetic strategy of paying attention to the dual combination of character and dialectical movement in character shaping, which makes the character of the character more full and contradictory conflict more intense, but also endues the work with the depth of human nature.

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the 3rd grade students' books in theme 4 Caring for the Social Environment. This research is a qualitative descriptive study The data in this study are sentences that contain and show the value of social care character education. Data collection is documentation. Data analysis method used is content analysis. The results showed the value of character education of social care in accordance with the indicators, namely: (1) tolerant of differences, (2) able to work together, (3) willing to be involved in community activities, (4) love humans and living things, (5) love peace in dealing with differences. So there are indicators of the value of social care character education that has not been found in the sentences contained in the book grade 3 elementary school students theme 4 Caring for the Social Environment, namely: (1) treat others politely, (2) act politely, (3) do not like to hurt people others, (4) do not take advantage of others.

The aim of this study is to describe character education content of the third grade elementary school curriculum 2013 textbook semester 1. The design of this study was content analysis by qualitative approach. Subject of this study is textbook of curriculum 2013 semester 1 for the third grade of elementary school students. Object of this study is character education content. The data collected by reading and recording of unit analysis. The unit analysis were materials and evaluation that integrated the values of character education in the textbooks. The instrument used in this research was the analysis sheet based on the theories. The validity of the instrument and the data used was semantic validity and expert judgment. The reliability of the data used the stability and reproducibility. The techniques of analyzing data consisted of unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring, and narrating. The results of this study show that most of the character education value was spread into every theme, although some indicators were not found. Distribution of each character value, by disregarding any indicators, evenly on all themes. However, these findings prove that a particular character value investment is not focused as in the relevant theory. Keywords: analysis, character education content

The theme of gender plays a vital role in William Shakespeare’s famous political play Macbeth. From the very beginning of the play the dramatist focuses on the importance of masculinity in gaining power and authority. Lady Macbeth along with the three witches are as important characters as Macbeth. Because they influence Macbeth profoundly. And Shakespeare very carefully draws the character of Lady Macbeth who being a female sometimes exhibits more masculinity than Macbeth. Similarly is the case of the three witches. Though they look like women they are also bearded which prove the presence of masculinity in their nature. Throughout the play several times the exposition of masculinity is demanded from the character of Macbeth. So the value of masculinity plays an important part in the drama.

H2O:Reborn terbagi menjadi tiga phase dimana pada setiap fase dilengkapi dengan theme song. Dengan adanya theme song, H2O:Reborn menjadi suatu inovasi komik yang memiliki branding dan daya tarik tersendiri dibanding komik pada umumnya. Kemudian inovasi yang di gagas oleh Sweta Kartika ini diwujudkan dengan membuat komposisi musik dan theme song berdasarkan setiap phase dalam komik H2O:Reborn. Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas theme song yang terdapat pada fase 0.2 yang berfokus di chapter 11. Fokus penelitian ini akan mengupas karakter bunyi yang dijalin dalam komposisi A True Friend yang dapat mewakili karakter tokoh Sita dan Ravana. Pembuatan komposisi musik A True Friend melewati proses diskusi dengan Sweta Kartika serta pembuatan sampel musik yang direvisi sesuai dengan storyboard yang dikehendaki komikus. Ilustrasi musik A True Friend dibuat dengan perpaduan instrumen piano, strings, choir, harp dan vocal. Penyusunannya menggunakan gaya musik popular dengan inspirasi berdasarkan teknik komposisi musik Beethoven dan teknik contrapuntal texture dalam proses pembuatan orkestrasi. Kombinasi bunyi dengan alur musik yang sendu menjadi karakter utama theme song yang bertujuan membangkitkan emosi dan sensasi pembaca saat membaca komik H2O: Reborn sembari memutar theme song A True Friend. H2O: Reborn, is an Indonesian comic by Sweta Kartika which tells the Ramayana epics in a modern version with the form of a trilogy. H2O: Reborn is divided into three phases where each phase is equipped with the theme song. With the theme song, H2O: Reborn is an innovative comic that has its own branding and appeal compared to comics in general. Then the innovation proposed by Sweta Kartika was realized by making music compositions and theme songs based on each phase in the comic H2O: Reborn. In this study, the theme song will be discussed in phase 0.2 which focuses on chapter 11. The focus of this study will be to explore the sound character woven in the composition of A True Friend which can represent the characters of Sita and Ravana. The making of musical compositions A True Friend went through the process of discussion with Sweta Kartika and the making of revised music samples in accordance with the storyboard that the comic artists wanted. Music illustration A True Friend is made with a mix of piano instruments, strings, choirs, harps and vocal. The compilers used the style of popular music with inspiration based on Beethoven's musical composition techniques and contrapuntal texture techniques in the process of making orchestration.
