Social entrepreneurial ventures thrive on diverse motivations, evolving through stages. This research delved into the dynamic shifts in motivations guiding social entrepreneurs across projects and initiatives in Tanzania. Despite numerous attempts by scholars to study and theorize the motivations of social entrepreneurs, there remains a significant gap in understanding the primary focus of social entrepreneurs’ involvement in various social entrepreneurship projects. This research aimed to address this knowledge gap by exploring the motivations that drive social entrepreneurs in Tanzania to en

Tibetan sheep are one of the three major coarse sheep breeds in China, and they possess a long history of formation. However, few studies have been conducted on the identification of Tibetan sheep breeds at the molecular level. In this study, a total of 448 individuals from 24 Tibetan sheep populations in the 5 regions of Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, Yunnan, and Sichuan were analyzed using the Affymetrix Ovine SNP 600K high-density chip to construct specific single-nucleoside polymorphism (SNP) genetic marker sets of Tibetan sheep breeds. Lithologic logs of 7 boreholes, field measurement data, stream flow and meteorological data and hydrochemical data generated from sampling and analysis of groundwater from 17 points (7boreholes and 10 handdug wells) were evaluated to establish the potentials of groundwater in Numan area. The area receives about 800mm of rainfall annually out of which 80% is lost through surface runoff and evapotranspiration while about 20% goes to recharge the groundwater system. G

Tipulidae, one of the most diverse families of Diptera, is widely distributed in the world. The adults have weak flight ability, making it an ideal model for studying the formation of insect diversity. This study aims to explore the species diversity and endemism of Tipulidae in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the surrounding areas, as well as analyze the relationships between the diversity pattern and 25 environmental factors in mountainous and non-mountainous regions. To this end, we collected 2589 datasets for the distribution of 1219 Tipulidae species, and found three areas with high diversi

Abstract. Topographic development via paraglacial slope failure (PSF) represents a complex interplay between geological structure, climate, and glacial denudation. Southeastern Tibet has experienced amongst the highest rates of ice mass loss in High Mountain Asia in recent decades, but few studies have focused on the implications of this mass loss on the stability of paraglacial slopes. We used repeat satellite- and unpiloted aerial vehicle (UAV)-derived imagery between 1990 and 2020 as the basis for mapping PSFs from slopes adjacent to Hailuogou Glacier (HLG), a 5 km long monsoon temperate va

Abstract RAN binding protein 9 (RanBP9) is a scaffolding protein that is essential for the formation a multi-subunit E3 ubiquitin ligase termed the C-terminal to Lis-1 homology (CTLH) complex. Multiple groups have identified the CTLH complex in regulating a broad range of biological processes including cell cycle, cell proliferation, and metabolism. Various studies have demonstrated that RanBP9 functions as a tumor suppressor, but none have shown whether the loss of RanBP9 can initiate spontaneous tumor formation. Here, we investigated the tumor suppressive role of RanBP9 in C57BL/6 mice. Bulk
