ABSTRACTThis paper assembles three oracle-bone inscriptions divined at the same time from the Wu Yi-Wen Ding period. Two are identical, being a paired divination inquiring into whether the event ri yue you shi was or was not auspicious. The third asks whether, in light of this ri yue you shi, it would be auspicious to sacrifice to Shang Jia.Since 1925, when Wang Xiang , first proposed th at the character yue should be read as xi, his position has been accepted by Liu Chaoyang De Xiaoqian , Chen Mengijia , Zhang Peiyü , Xu Zhentao , the Zhongguo Tianwenxue jianshi bianxiezu , and the Zhongguo Tianwenxueshi zhengli yenjiu xiaozu Yue was first interpreted as yue in 1933 by Shang Chengzuo . Those subscribing to this reading include Dong Zuobin , Chen Zungui , Yü Xingwu Liu Chaoyang, Chen Mengiia, Joseph Needham, Zhao Quemin and Chen Banghuai .Among these scholars Liu Chaoyang holds that “there is no distinction between xi and yue,” while Chen Mengjia believes that the phrase “ri yue you shi” can also be read “ri xi you shi,” hence they accept both interpretations.

A new genus, Afrosystolederus, and a new species, Afrosystolederus garmsi, are described from Mount Gibi in Liberia. This African genus is most similar to Pseudosystolederus Günther, 1939 from Africa and Madagascar and to some members of Systolederus Bolivar, 1887 from Asia. The taxonomic difficulties of genera and species with a narrow fastigium are discussed. Teredorus aztecus nov.comb. is transferred from the genus Paratettix Bolivar, 1887. It is proposed to transfer all Indo-Malayan species from Teredorus Hancock, 1907 to Systolederus Bolivar, 1887, resulting in 26 new combinations and six replacement names: Systolederus albimarginus (Zheng & Zhou, 1996) nov. comb., Systolederus bashanensis (Zheng, 1993) nov. comb., Systolederus bhattacharyi (Shishodia, 1991) nov. comb., Systolederus bidentatus (Zheng, Huo & Zhang, 2000) nov. comb., Systolederus bipulvillus (Zheng, 2006) nov. comb., Systolederus brachynotoides Zheng, Ou & Lin, 2012 nov. comb., Systolederus brachynotus (Zheng & Xu, 2010) nov. comb., Systolederus camurimarginus (Zheng, 1998) nov. comb., Systolederus carmichaeli (Hancock, 1915) nov. comb., Systolederus chiangraensis (Za, Wen, Kang & Hyde, 2016) nov.comb., Systolederus combfemorus (Za, Wen, Kang & Hyde, 2016) nov. comb., Systolederus ebenotus (Zheng & Li, 2001) nov. comb., Systolederus eurylobatus (Zheng, Shi & Mao, 2010) nov. comb., Systolederus flatimarginus (Zheng & Liang, 2000) nov. comb., Systolederus flavistrial (Zheng, 2006) nov. comb., Systolederus frontalis (Hancock, 1915) nov.comb., Systolederus guizhouensis (Zheng, 1993) nov. comb., Systolederus hainanensis (Zheng, 1993) nov. comb., Systolederus longipulvillus (Zheng, 1988) nov. comb., Systolederus nigropennis (Deng, Zheng & Lu, 2013) nov. comb., Systolederus parvipulvillus (Deng, Lei & Zheng, 2014) nov. comb., Systolederus prominemarginis (Zheng & Jiang, 1993) nov. comb., Systolederus taibeiensis (Zheng & Xu, 2010) nov. comb., Systolederus xishuiensis (Zheng, Li & Shi, 2003) nov. comb. , Systolederus wuyishanensis (Zheng, 1993) nov. comb., Systolederus lii Devriese nov. nom., Systolederus lini Devriese nov.nom., Systolederus oui Devriese nov. nom., Systolederus rongduensis Devriese nov. nom., Systolederus yuanlingensis Devriese nov. nom., Systolederus zhengi Devriese nov. nom.

Background: Syndrome ( ZHENG in Chinese) in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) refers to the intrinsic characteristics of a pathological process at a certain stage; these characteristics are influenced by internal and external environments and reveal the nature of a disease. Proper syndrome differentiation is the basic principle that guides clinical treatment. Objective: To have a good understanding of tumor progression and the different mechanisms related to ZHENG that have occurred before and after tumor development and to explore the valid evaluation criteria of different pancreatic cancer syndromes to improve the guiding role of TCM syndrome differentiation in pancreatic cancer treatment. Methods: In this study, we established mouse subcutaneous pancreatic cancer models, namely, Con (control), Pi-Xu (Spleen-Deficiency), Shi-Re (Dampness-Heat), and Xue-Yu (Blood-Stasis). Then, for the first time, we compared the different effects of “ ZHENG-first” (referring to a different disease status that occurred before tumor occurrence) and “Tumor-first” (referring to the change in the tumor microenvironment and the resulting changes in the state of the body) conditions on tumor progression and evaluated the associated molecular mechanisms. Results: We found that tumor growth in the “ ZHENG-first” and “Tumor-first” conditions was different. In the “Tumor-first” model, the tumor growth in the Pi-Xu group was faster than that in the other groups. However, in the “ ZHENG-first” model, the tumor growth trend was most obvious in the Shi-Re group. There was a difference in tumor-associated macrophage infiltration between the 2 models. The expression levels of the inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-10, and P-STAT3 were also differentially altered. Conclusion: The emergence of ZHENG conditions before or after tumor occurrence had different impacts on pancreatic cancer development, and these impacts may be related to differences in tumor-associated macrophage infiltration and the involved inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-10, and P-STAT3. The study results uncovered the molecular basis of syndrome differentiation in pancreatic cancer progression, which might provide more specific guidance for TCM treatment of pancreatic cancer.

The development of new redox stable electrode materials for Solid Oxide Cells (SOFs) have attracted great attention in recent years, since finding suitable compositions to operate efficiently in both fuel cell and electrolyzer modes is crucial for their wide commercialization [1]. For this reason, research on new doping strategies [2] and advanced deposition techniques [3] for symmetrical electrode materials have significantly increased with the aim of simplifying cell fabrication and extending cell durability. In this sense, double perovskites are gaining great interest due to their excellent electrical properties and high redox and long-term stability in different atmospheres [4]. In this study, the double-perovskite (PrBa)0.95Fe2O5+δ (PBF) is proposed as symmetrical electrode for SOCs [5]. Two different strategies are implemented: on the one hand, Ni-doping in order to improve the electrical properties under reducing atmosphere and, on the other hand, the preparation of nanostructured electrodes in one-step by spray-pyrolysis deposition. A thorough characterization of the material is performed regarding its crystal structure, microstructure and electrochemical properties in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. With that purpose, PBF and (PrBa)0.95Fe2-xNixO5+ δ (PBFNx) powders are prepared by the freeze-drying precursor method. XRD patterns show the formation of a single perovskite-type phase in both air and H2 atmospheres, without the presence of any secondary phases. As for conductivity tests, they reveal increased values for the Ni-doped material over the pristine PBF material in air and 5% H2 at 600 ºC. These materials were thereafter screen-printed onto La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85 (LSGM) electrolyte and calcined at 1100 ºC for 1h to ensure adequate adhesion to the electrolyte. Alternatively, spray-pyrolysis deposition method is employed to infiltrate PBFNx, with a 0.02 M precursor solution of the corresponding nitrate salts, into a porous Ce0.9Gd0.1O1.95 (CGO) layer previously fixed onto LSGM electrolyte (PBFNx-CGO). SEM images reveal that the screen-printed PBFNx has a thickness of 30 µm and a particle size of around 1 µm, while the same composition deposited by spray-pyrolysis shows a nanometric particle size and it is well-infiltrated in the 10 µm-thick CGO layer (Figure 1a). These electrode microstructures are maintained after ongoing a reduction process, where exsolved Ni particles are observed on the surface. The impedance spectra show lower polarization resistance (Rp) values for PBFNx with respect to PBF, i.e. 0.47 and 0.62 Ω cm2 at 650 ºC in air, respectively. But most significantly, further Rp reduction is observed for PBFNx-CGO prepared by spray-pyrolysis, values as low as 0.17 Ω cm2 at 650 ºC in air (Figure 1b). In reducing atmosphere, the PBFNx-CGO electrode also has lower Rp values (0.23 Ω cm2 at 650 ºC) when compared to the pristine PBF (0.52 Ω cm2 at 650 ºC). All in all, the nanostructured Ni-doped PBF electrodes exhibit high redox stability and low polarization resistance values under both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, demonstrating their potential application as symmetrical electrodes for SOCs. These findings show that the optimization of the electrode composition but mostly its microstructure is key when developing new electrode materials for solid oxide cells. Yuan-tsung blended further into village life, getting to know more villagers and their survival kit. One of them, a woman cadre named Winter Plum, initiated her into the black market, where she could get better food from a drunken butcher. Old Xu, the ever so complaisant village head, surprised her with his bitter resentment against his higher-ups and his bitterness over the loss of his family’s cohesion caused by collectivization. Wimpy Gu, the reticent and meek assistant to Old Xu, relieved himself occasionally with violent, emotional outbursts. Old Hong, renowned locally as the gloriously demobilized soldier, or Glorious Demob, amazed her with his web of deceit and lies for the sake of manufacturing a fake bumper harvest.

Resumo:
Location-based services (LBS) are services that answer queries based on the locations with which the queries are associate; normally the locations where the queries are issued. With a variety of promising applications, such as local information access (e.g., traffic reports, news, and navigation maps) and nearest neighbor queries (e.g., finding the nearest restaurants) (Barbara, 1999; Ren & Dunham, 2000; D. L. Lee, Lee, Xu, & Zheng, 2002; W. C. Lee, Xu, & Zheng, 2004), LBS is emerging as an integral part of daily life. The greatest potential of LBS is met in a mobile computing environment, where users enjoy unrestricted mobility and ubiquitous information access. For example, a traveler could issue a query like “Find the nearest hotel with a room rate below $100” from a wireless portable device in the middle of a journey. To answer such a query, however, three major challenges have to be overcome: • Constrained Mobile Environments: Users in a mobile environment suffer from various constraints, such as scarce bandwidth, lowquality communication, frequent network disconnections, and limited local resources. These constraints pose a great challenge for the provision of LBS to mobile users. • Spatial Data: In LBS, the answers to a query associated with different locations may be different. That is, query results are dependent on spatial properties of queries. For a query bound with a certain query location, the query result should be relevant to the query as well as valid for the bound location. This requirement adds additional complexity to traditional data management techniques such as data placement, indexing, and query processing (D. L. Lee, 2002). • User Movement: The fact that a mobile user may change its location makes some tasks in LBS, such as query scheduling and cache management, particularly tough. For example, suppose that a mobile user issues a query “Find the nearest restaurant” at location A. If the query is not scheduled timely enough on the server, the user has moved to location B when he or she gets the answer R. However, R is no longer the nearest restaurant at location B. Caching has been a commonly used technique for improving data access performance in a mobile computing environment (Acharya, Alonso, Franklin, & Zdonik, 1995). There are several advantages for caching data on mobile clients: • It improves data access latency since a portion of queries, if not all, can be satisfied locally. • It helps save energy since wireless communication is required only for cache-miss queries. • It reduces contention on the narrow-bandwidth wireless channel and off-loads workload from the server; as such, the system throughput is improved. • It improves data availability in circumstances where clients are disconnected or weakly connected because cached data can be used to answer queries. However, as discussed above, the constrains of mobile computing environments, the spatial property of location-dependent data, and the mobility of mobile users have opened up many new research problems in client caching for LBS. This chapter discusses the research issues arising from caching of location-dependent data in a mobile environment and briefly describes several state-of-the-art solutions.

M-commerce (mobile commerce) applications have evolved out of e-commerce (electronic commerce) applications, riding on recent advancement in wireless communication technologies. Exploiting the most unique aspect inherent in m-commerce, namely, the mobility of customers, l-commerce (location-dependent m-commerce) applications have played an increasingly important role in the class of m-commerce applications. All e-commerce, m-commerce, and l-commerce applications rely on the provision of information retrieval and processing capability. L-commerce applications further dictate the maintenance of customer and service location information. Various database systems are deployed as the information source and repository for these applications, backed by efficient indexing mechanisms, both on regular data and location-specific data. Bean (2003) gave a good report on supporting Web-based e-commerce with XML, which could be easily extended to m-commerce. An m-commerce framework, based on JINI/XML and a workflow engine, was defined by Shih and Shim (2002). Customers can receive m-commerce services through the use of mobile devices such as pocket PCs, PDAs, or even smart phones. These mobile devices together with their users are often modeled as mobile clients. There are three types of entities central to m-commerce and l-commerce applications: mobile device, wireless communication, and database. In this article, we focus our discussion on mobile-client enabled database servers, often referred to as mobile databases. Mobile databases maintain information for the underlying m-commerce and l-commerce applications in which mobile devices serve as the hardware platform interfacing with customers, connected through wireless communication. Location is a special kind of composite data ranging from a single point, a line, a poly-line, to a shape defining an area or a building. In general, locations are modeled as spatial objects. The location of a static point of interest, such as a shop, is maintained in a database supporting spatial features and operations, often a spatial database (Güting, 1994). The location of a moving object, like a mobile customer, needs to be maintained in a moving object database (Wolfson, Sistla, Xu, Zhou, & Chamberlain, 1999), a database that supports efficient retrieval and update of object locations. To enable l-commerce, both spatial databases and moving object databases need to support location-specific query processing from mobile clients and location updates they generated. The two major types of data access requirements for a mobile database are data dissemination and dedicated data access. Data dissemination is preferred, since it can serve a large client population in utilizing the high bandwidth downlink channel to broadcast information of common interest, such as stock quotations, traffic conditions, or special events. On the other hand, dedicated data access is conveyed through uplink channels with limited bandwidth. To disseminate database items effectively, the selected set of hot database items can be scheduled as a broadcast disk (Acharya, Alonso, Franklin, & Zdonik, 1995). Proper indexes can be built to facilitate access to broadcast database items (Imielinski & Badrinath, 1994). Redundancy can be included in data (Leong & Si, 1995) and index (Tan & Ooi, 1998) to combat the unreliability of wireless communication.

ABSTRACT Underground storage cavern has been increasingly exploited as it has many advantages such as reducing investment, economizing land use and improving safety compared with storage above the ground surface. We employ the hydromechanical coupled FDEM to simulate the excavation and operation phases of the underground storage cavern with a water curtain system (WCS), taking into consideration the natural discrete fracture network (DFN). The simulation results captured the propagation and slipping of the pre-existing DFN during the excavation and operation process. We quantitatively evaluate the containment performance based on the water inflow and pore pressure distribution. This study provides new insights into evaluating the stability of cavern-surrounding rock masses and containment performance of underground storage caverns. INTRODUCTION Underground storage caverns have better performance on safety, security, economy, and greater environmental acceptance compared with traditional storage infrastructures such as storage tanks and pipelines. Several large underground storage caverns have been constructed, for example, Jurong rock caverns in Singapore (Zhou & Zhao, 2016) and Huangdao underground oil storage caverns in China (Wang et al., 2015). Underground storage caverns are constructed in fractured rock masses, confining the storage medium (such as oil and gas) by maintaining groundwater pressure around caverns which is also called hydraulic confinement (Aberg, 1978; Froise, 1987; Lindblom, 1997). The basic principle of underground containment the cavern is that no gas could leak as long as the water pressure increases along all possible gas leakage paths away from the cavern (Goodall et al., 1988). To enhance the sealing performance, water curtain systems (WCS) are constructed to manually control the pore pressure distribution by regulating the water curtain pressure. (Shi et al., 2018). Previous studies has evaluated the stability of excavated rock masses (Mohanty & Vandergrift, 2012; Ma et al., 2016; Zhuang et al., 2017) and containment performance (Xu et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2021) by using in-situ monitoring methods and numerical simulation. However, the fracture propagation and slip induced by the excavation and operation of the storage cavern, as well as the resultant fluid pressure variation, have not been illustrated.
