Claustra Alpium Iuliarumjedan je od najvećih arhitektonskih kasnoantičkih vojnih pothvata na području današnjih Hrvatske i Slovenije, koji je zbog njegove raspro-stranjenosti kroz šumom obrasla područja dviju država teško zaštititi, očuvati i rabiti u turističke svrhe. Članak na primjeru provedenih projekata Claustra i Clau-stra+ pokazuje kako možemo iskoristiti financiranje iz fondova Europske unije za interdisciplinaran pristup istraživanju, zaštiti i promociji kulturne baštine te razvijati kvalitetan i vjerodostojan kulturni proizvod koji ne narušava baštinu.

Анотація:
A new genus and species of Unionoidea, Tacuaremboia caorsii, are described from the Tacuarembó Formation (Upper Triassic–Upper Jurassic) of Uruguay. The genus is distinguished from other Unionoidea by its large size, thickness, edentulous hingeline, and the presence of claustra. It has some similarities with the Anodontinae and the Archanodontacea, but it cannot be assigned to any of the known family units.

The France-USA Memorial Hospital in Saint-Lô, Normandy (1948-1965), is known as one of the most relevant French Reconstruction projects. It is the first important work crafted by the French-American architect, Paul Nelson (1895-1979). His humanist approach inspired a series of unprecedented, meaningful and technical architectural innovations. The organization of the new hospital, based on functionality and modernity; polychromic and artistic inclusion; extended high-quality work, notably the "claustra" façade; ovoid surgical rooms and technical equipment are testimonies to the major quality and innovation pursued in the Memorial Hospital project. Paul Nelson’s work brings into focus the rich and comprehensive relationship between architecture, arts and care.

Objectives/AimsThe claustrum is a sheet-like bilateral brain region whose function remains unknown. We comprehensively examined cases of human claustrum lesions to assess their support for various hypotheses of function. To do so we searched the following terms on PubMed and Scopus: ‘claustrum AND (lesion OR contusion OR in- jury OR trauma)’.ResultsIn total our search uncovered 103 cases, which were then screened for confirmed damage to the claustrum by neuroimaging. Thirty-eight individual cases and 14 cohort studies were included. Our results suggest human claustral lesions do not selectively impair a singular domain. Instead, they argue that human claustrum may have a more general function. The high incidence of seizures following claustral lesions suggests this may involve maintenance of excitation-inhibition balance.ConclusionsThe wide range of symptoms observed following claustral lesions do not provide compelling evidence to support prominent current theories of claustrum function such as spatial navigation, attentional allocation, cognition, multisensory integration, and salience computation. Conversely, the lesions studies support the hypothesis that the claustrum regulates cortical excitability.

La presente tesis estudia en detalle el proceso de restauración del claustro de San Pedro el Viejo de Huesca a finales del siglo XIX con el objeto de restituir la obra a su estado original tardorrománico. A través del análisis exhaustivo de las memorias, planos, dibujos y fotografías de la restauración y de otras fuentes anteriores a la misma, así como de la elaboración de un catálogo completo de todas las 75 piezas escultóricas (originales y modernas) asociadas al claustro, la mayoría de ellas inéditas, se reconstruye la disposición medieval de los capiteles en el claustro y se ensaya una interpretación iconográfica de conjunto. Además, se estudia sistemáticamente el entorno inmediato del claustro, es decir, sus muros perimetrales, puertas, arcosolios, capillas y necrologio, y se plantean diversas hipótesis sobre su secuencia constructiva y funcionalidad. Asimismo, se ha realizado una lectura completa del Cartulario del monasterio, compilado por un monje llamado Garín a finales del XIII, con el objeto de enriquecer con nuevas noticias, sobre todo constructivas, la historia del monasterio de San Pedro en general y de su iglesia y claustro en particular, lo que entre otras cosas ha permitido identificar un buen número de artesanos hasta ahora desconocidos y la ubicación original de los tres tímpanos románicos del monasterio todavía conservados.
This doctoral thesis studies in detail the restoration process of the cloister of San Pedro el Viejo monastery in Huesca at the end of the nineteenth century. The purpose of the restoration was to return the building to its original Late-Romanesque condition. The medieval arrangement of the capitals in the cloister is reconstructed through the thorough analysis of reports, plans, drawings and photographs from the restoration, as well as from previous sources. A complete catalogue of the 75 sculptural pieces (original and modern) associated to the cloister, most of them hitherto unstudied, is also used in the reconstruction. All of these sources are used to assay an iconographic interpretation of the ensemble. The immediate surroundings of the cloister are also systematically studied and researched, that is, its perimeter walls, doors, arcosolia, chapels and necrologium. Several hypotheses have been proposed on its constructive development and its functionality. In this doctoral thesis a complete reading of the monastery’s Cartulary, compiled by Garin, a monk who lived in the 13th century, aiming to provide new information on the history of the monastery in general, and of its church and cloister in particular, has been carried out. This has allowed the author to identify a good number of artisans heretofore unknown as well as the original location of three Romanic tympanums still preserved.

O projecto que se apresenta pretende investigar uma nova forma de revitalização de espaços dentro da cidade consolidada de Lisboa, através de uma estratégia de densificação que procurará ampliar oportunidades e intensificar qualidades vivenciais bem patentes na cidade histórica. O caso de estudo a abordar, o Convento Nossa Sra. do Desterro, situa-se na colina de Sant`Ana e a sua disponibilidade releva da recente desactivação de um conjunto significativo de antigas estruturas hospitalares na cidade. Trata-se de um convento cisterciense ligado às raízes do lugar, no qual o seu claustro maior vai assumir como o papel de elemento dinamizador da proposta global, tornando o convento preponderante na redefinição proposta de toda a estrutura urbana do Desterro. Reflectiremos sobre um conjunto de ideias que assentam num princípio agregador de proximidade urbana, que potencie o habitar, trabalhar e lazer num mesmo sector da cidade, propondo especificamente através deste estudo explorar novas formas de habitar a partir da regeneração espacial e programática do claustro. Introduziremos um conjunto diversificado de intervenções sobre o edificado e espaço público, portadoras de programas regeneradores e novas conexões, percursos e estadias, capazes de reactivar as vivências e significados de um lugar com uma história e uma identidade marcante na cidade.
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this project is to investigate a new way of revitalizing spaces within the consolidated urban area of Lisbon, through a strategy of densification in order to seek the opportunities and to enhance the evident experiential qualities of the historical city. So, the case study, the Convent of Nossa Sra. do Desterro on the hill of Sant`Ana, is an empty facility due to the recent shutdown of a significant number of old hospital structures in the city. This is a Cistercian monastery attached to the roots of the place, in which its largest cloister will assume the role of dynamic element in the overall proposal for the entire urban structure of Desterro. We will reflect on a set of ideas, based on a principle of urban proximity that maximizes the living, working and leisure in the same sector of the city, specifically by proposing this study to explore new ways of living from the spatial and programmatic regeneration of the cloister. By introducing a diverse set of interventions on buildings and public space, with their regeneration programs and connections, pathways and stays, we expect to show that is possible to reactivate experiences and meanings in a place with an history and such a striking identity in the city

L’approfondimento della struttura territoriale dei vari regni avviene tramite cinque linee: la conoscenza di aree poco studiate nella topografia monastica femminile; la comprensione delle dinamiche fondazionali e il ruolo delle comunità di mulieres religiose; la dinamica dell’impianto urbano e i processi di comunicazione e di azione, creatori del paesaggio monastico; l’importanza del mecenatismo e del patrocinio femminile nei modelli fondazionali e nella promozione culturale; l’analisi delle pratiche devozionali e della cultura materiale delle comunità in un contesto funzionale, spaziale e performativo. El presente volumen es el resultado de la investigación del proyecto Claustra. Atlas de espiritualidad femenina. El libro se ocupa del análisis del paisaje religioso marcado por las comunidades de clarisas y dominicas. We are witnesses and participants of Copernican changes in the world which result in major crises/challenges (economic, political, social, climate, demographic, migratory, MORAL) that significantly change “normal” circumstances. The law, as a large regulatory system, must find answers to these challenges. Primarily, these circumstances relate to (i) the pandemic - Corona 19, which requires ensuring economic development with a significant encroachment on human freedoms and rights; (ii) globalization, which fundamentally changes the concept of liberal capitalism as the most efficient system of production of goods and services and democracy as a desirable form of government; (iii) automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and big data are changing the ways we work, live, communicate, and learn in a Copernican manner. The law should serve to shape the relationship between people in order to realize a life of love and freedom. This is done to the greatest extent through the constitutional engineering of selected institutions. The legal system focuses on institutions that have a raison d'etre in their mission, which is read as “ratio legis”, as a desirable normative and real action in the range of causal and teleological aspect. Crisis situations narrow social cohesion and weaken trust in institutions. It is imperative to seek constitutional engineering that finds a way out in autopoietic institutions in allopoietic environment. We believe that the most current definition of law is that = law is the negation of the negation of morality. It follows that morality is the most important category of social development. Legitimacy, and then legality, relies on morality. In other words, the rules of conduct must be highly correlated with morality - legitimacy - legality. What is legal follows the rules, what is lawful follows the moral substance and ethical permissibility. Therefore, only a fair and intelligent mastery of a highly professional and ethical teleological interpretation of law is a conditio sine qua non for overcoming current anomalies of social development. The juridical code of legal and illegal is a transformation of moral, legitimate and legal into YES, and immoral, illegitimate and illegal into NO. The future of education aims to generate a program for global action and a discussion on learning and knowledge for the future of humanity and the planet in a world of increasing complexity, uncertainty and insecurity.

La investigación se desarrolló en el claustro La Encarnación, sede de la Institución Universitaria Colegio Mayor del Cauca, cuyo patio central de 420 m2, no tiene un uso puntual actualmente, lo cual genera desaprovechamiento del espacio y falta de apropiación por quienes lo habitan. Se planteó una propuesta de intervención arquitectónica sobre el patio central y una metodología de intervención para patios en bienes patrimoniales, para buscar el aprovechamiento de estos lugares con respeto por su valor histórico. Dicha metodología consta de cuatro fases: contexto, información previa, análisis, diagnóstico y diseño; enmarcada en las normativas y cartas sobre bienes inmuebles patrimoniales. Finalmente, como conclusión se tiene que las intervenciones arquitectónicas en los Bienes de Interés Cultural (BIC), propiciarían espacios de apropiación, para fortalecer, así, su importancia dentro del desarrollo de la ciudad. Así mismo, con base en los aspectos históricos encontrados en la bibliografía sobre la evolución arquitectónica y funcional del claustro La Encarnación, se concluyó que dicho bien, al ser declarado Monumento Nacional, es un testigo tangible de la historia de la ciudad. Sin embargo, el desconocimiento de su historia y proceso de conformación han generado falta de apropiación por parte de las nuevas generaciones.

This paper deals with the conception and implementation of internet-based magazines such as online newspapers and e-journals. This topic will be discussed by the use of a precise e-newspaper implementation project called “ZeWIC”. ZeWIC is short for “Zeitung der Wirtschaftsinformatik in Clausthal”. It is a source of information for the students mostly for their study purposes at the Technical University of Clausthal. First there is some information given about electronic newspapers in general. Then ZeWIC is described, starting with the data model which forms the background of this special newspaper, and continuing with the particular implementation. This paper ends with a perspective about what can and will be changed or added soon to ZeWIC to improve ZeWIC’s service even more.

KavafisVives es una producción audiovisual que fue proyectada en octubre de 2016 en el Claustro del Centro Cultural La Nau, en Valencia, con motivo de las actividades paralelas realizadas en el evento Mostra viva del Mediterrani 2016: cultura i conflictes del Mediterrani. Realizado por el grupo de investigación Laboratorio de Luz de la UPV dentro del proyecto de investigación “Pantallas mutantes” financiado por MINECO HAR2103-47778R. El proyecto parte de una interpretación del tema “cultura i conflictes del Mediterrani”, que intenta conectar las raíces de la cultura del Mediterráneo, con la emergencia del momento actual y el propio lugar físico sobre el que se proyectará este audiovisual. A partir de la obra poética de Constantino Kavafis que aborda el viaje y el mar como lugar de encuentro, separación, perdida y vida, desde de la subjetividad vital, intentamos generar un discurso de las recientes crisis de refugiados que intentan cruzar ese mismo mar hasta Europa, huyendo de la barbarie hacia un futuro posible. La proyección se realiza en el Claustro del Centro Cultural La Nau, en Valencia, en cuyo centro se encuentra la estatura de Lluis Vives, humanista cuya integridad intelectual y obra están vinculadas a los mejores virtudes del espíritu europeísta. KavafisVives es un vídeo mapping realizado por un grupo de artistas interdisciplinar cuya premisa inicial era la de crear una narrativa alejada del tono espectacular de algunas producciones de vídeo mapping, que mantenga un tono de sobriedad que permita aproximarse con respeto a la situación actual, desde la reflexión del discurso europeísta de Lluis Vives y de la subjetividad poética de Constantino Kavafis.http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/ANIAV.2017.6339

El 23 de julio del 2020, en el marco de la celebración del aniversario treinta y ocho de la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada y en medio de las vicisitudes propias que se despliegan al enfrentar una pandemia como la que ha aquejado al mundo durante más de un año, se desarrolló el Foro Internacional Neogranadino: ¿gobernanza global o gobierno globalista?, con la participación de panelistas de alto nivel tales como el TG (r) Frederick Rudesheim, director del Centro de Estudios Hemisféricos de Defensa William J. Perry; el Dr. Alexis Osvaldo López Tapia, investigador y director de radio y TV; el señor Rafael Nieto Loaiza, abogado, columnista y analista político; el Dr. Joseph Humire Cubides, director del Centro para una Socie- dad Libre Segura (SFS); el Dr. Jaime García Covarrubias, analista internacional; el Dr. Omar Bula Escobar, analista internacional; y la Dra. Celina B. Realuyo, profesora del Centro William J Perry. Además, contó con intervenciones magistrales por parte del Dr. Carlos Holmes Trujillo García (Q. E. P. D.), ministro de Defensa Nacional; el señor BG Adolfo Clavijo Ardila, exrector de la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada; y el señor BG Luis Fernando Puentes Torres, actual rector de este claustro universitario. Entre los temas más relevantes tratados durante el foro se encuentran la pandemia generada por el COVID-19, los desafíos de la gobernanza nacional frente a las amenazas externas, el debilitamiento integral de las Fuerzas Armadas, la política exterior de los Estados Unidos con respecto a elementos de seguridad nacional y cooperación internacional, y la revolución molecular disipada como una explicación a la generalización de la violencia urbana y el anarquismo que, derivados de fenómenos globalizadores, ponen en riesgo a los Estados.
