The objective of this research is to discuss Traditions and manifestations of popular culture in Goiás, with the object to Our Party Lady D Abbey in Quirinopolis. It aims to understand if it acts as forming a religion rooted in popular practices, and also, if from these practices, there is the identification of the people with the party sufficient to promote the creation of a cultural identity, and understand if there is the production of a memory. Finally understand what the changes taking place, and if they had any influence in relation to religion. In this way our methodological proposal started from the literature search, observation and participation in the party, interviews and images. Therefore observe the Feast of Our Lady D Abadia translates as place of memory, being remembered for generations, appearing not only as a tradition but as an object of his time, part of a cultural identity, so his perpetuating.
O objetivo desta pesquisa é discutir Tradições e Manifestações da cultura popular em Goiás, tendo como objeto a Festa de Nossa Senhora D Abadia em Quirinópolis. Pretende-se entender se a mesma age como formadora de uma religiosidade enraizada nas práticas populares, e também, se a partir destas práticas, há a identificação do povo com a festa, que seja suficiente para promover a criação de uma identidade cultural, e entender se há a produção de uma memória. Por fim perceber quais as mudanças ocorridas, e se estas tiveram alguma influência em relação a religiosidade. Desta forma a nossa proposta metodológica iniciou-se a partir da pesquisa bibliográfica, observação e participação na festa, entrevistas e imagens. Por tanto observamos que a Festa de Nossa Senhora D Abadia traduz-se como lugar de memória, sendo relembrada por gerações, se apresentando não somente como uma tradição e sim como um objeto de seu tempo, parte de uma identidade cultural, por isso sua perpetuação.

This thesis had as research object the various cultural manifestations in the Festa de Sant?Ana in the twentieth century, between the years 1920-1987. Noteworthy among these cultural manifestations the Festa de Largo, which occurred in the area outside the religious temple, composing some of the steps of the celebration of Senhora Sant?Ana, who is the patroness of the city of Feira Santana. These manifestations of popular and profane character, as the Bando Anunciador, the Lavagem da Igreja, and the Levagem, which were aggregators spaces of a myriad of religious and political expressions, producing diverse cultural practices. Another objective of the analysis was to understand the representations, appropriations and cultural practices undertaken by the participants in the festivities, as well as understand the shock of representations present in the celebrations, resulting from the opposition of the ways the party was experienced by participants ahead to how the festival were idealized by the Catholic Church.
Esta disserta??o teve como objeto de pesquisa as diversas manifesta??es culturais presente na Festa de Sant?Ana no s?culo XX, entre os anos de 1920 a 1987. Destacam-se entre estas manifesta??es culturais as chamadas Festas de Largo, que ocorriam na ?rea externa do templo religioso, compondo algumas das etapas da celebra??o a Senhora Sant?Ana, padroeira da cidade de Feira Santana. Estas manifesta??es de car?ter popular e profano, como o Bando anunciador, a Lavagem da Igreja e a Levagem, eram espa?os agregadores de uma mir?ade de express?es pol?ticas e religiosas, produtoras de diversas pr?ticas culturais. Tamb?m foi objetivo da an?lise compreender as representa??es, apropria??es e pr?ticas culturais realizadas pelos participantes dentro dos festejos, al?m de entender os choques de representa??es presentes nas celebra??es, advindos da oposi??o das formas como a festa era vivenciada pelos seus participantes frente ao modo como os festejos eram idealizados pela Igreja Cat?lica.

A pesquisa partiu do incômodo entre a fricção entre os mecanismos da legislação autoral e o modo de vida das manifestações tradicionais das culturas populares. Este incômodo possibilitou perceber as manifestações tradicionais como processos educativos que acontecem em unidade com os processos de criação, proporcionando o futuro, mas, ao mesmo tempo, respeitando e preservando as tradições culturais. Segundo Vigotski na perspectiva histórico-cultural, o caráter autoral é considerado um momento da criação. Portanto, este tema situa-se como uma preocupação da área da educação, de maneira que as reflexões sobre as manifestações tradicionais privilegiam a discussão sobre os processos de criação e educação, seus desdobramentos, e como se diferenciam da educação baseada em uma mentalidade escolarizada como definido por Ivan Illich. Diante disso, a pesquisa investiga como as manifestações tradicionais das culturas populares organizam e transmitem o saber, uma vez que o processo educativo acontece por meio da criação, e sem a centralidade da identificação autoral. A experiência empírica foi realizada na cidade de Pirenópolis – Goiás, sobre as manifestações tradicionais das culturas populares que compõem a Festa do Divino Espirito Santo de Pirenópolis. Foi concluído na pesquisa que a organização da cultura pirenopolina educa em suas tradições culturais o senso de unidade entre as necessidades e possibilidades individuais e coletivas. O processo de criação acontece concomitantemente ao acúmulo de experiências na cultura. E este processo de criação, ligado à história, às experiências pessoais e àquilo que é articulado em comunidade proporciona uma responsabilidade com as tradições e com a coletividade.
The friction between copyright law and the traditional manifestations of popular cultures inspired the start of this research. It provided acknowledgment of the traditional manifestations as educative processes occurring in unit with creation processes, providing the future but, at the same time, respecting and preserving the cultural traditions. From the contributions of Vigotski and the historical-cultural perspective the authorial aspect is a moment of the creation, main concern of the field of education. The discussion then focuses on the creation processes and the educative processes, its developments, and how they differ from the education based on the schooled mentality, such as defined by Ivan Illich. The research objective is investigate how the traditional manifestations of popular cultures organize and transmits knowledge, since the educative process takes place through the creation process, without the centrality of the authorial identification. The empirical experience happened in the city of Pirenópolis – Goiás, Brazil, with the traditional manifestations that compose the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo de Pirinópolis (celebrations of the Holy Spirit of Pirenópolis). The research concluded that the organization of that culture educates in its cultural traditions a sense of unity between the individual and collective needs and possibilities. The creation process happens at the same time as the accumulation of experiences in the culture. This creation process provides responsibility on the traditions and on the collective, linked to the history and to the community.

O presente texto tem como proposta o estudo do brincante de Pai Francisco, mascarado de grande destaque no Bumba meu boi maranhense. O momento escolhido para a observação foi a festa de São Marçal ou Encontro de Bois do João Paulo, como também é conhecida a festa que acontece anualmente no dia 30 de junho, no bairro do João Paulo, em São Luís - MA. A partir de duas etnografias realizadas nos anos de 2013 e 2014, foi possível compreender aspectos dos agenciamentos ocorridos na festa, principalmente no que diz respeito à espetacularidade do brincante de Pai Francisco ao participar da cena mascarado. Em busca de uma reflexão sobre a presença da máscara na festa e com base no que foi observado no Encontro de Bois, busquei na fala dos brincantes de Pai Francisco contribuições para o entendimento acerca da participação na festa de São Marçal, da confecção e uso da máscara, do envolvimento com o público e das situações cênicas pautadas no jogo e na comicidade realizadas na cena do João Paulo.
This paper is focused on the study of Father Francisco player, an outstanding masked character of Maranhão‟s Bumba meu boi. The moment chosen for observation was São Marçal‟s party or João Paulo‟s Boi Encounter, as the party that takes place annually in June 30 is also known. The party happens in the neighborhood of João Paulo, São Luís - MA. From two ethnographies conducted in the years of 2013 and 2014, we could understand aspects of agenting occurred on the party, manly regarding to spectacularization of Father Francisco‟s player due to the fact that the player takes place wearing a mask. Seeking for a reason of the use of the mask in the party and based on what was observed on the Bois‟ Encounter, I resorted to the Father Francisco‟s players speeches to help us understand the participation on Saint Marçal‟s party, the mask making and using, engagement with the public and scenic situations lined by the game and comicality fulfilled on João Paulo scene.

Die Lotzdorfer Schule und der 2015 durch Brandanschlag zerstörte Lotzdorfer Gasthof nahmen im dörflichen Leben immer eine zentrale Stellung ein. Jubiläen der Schule waren Anlass zu Heimatfesten, Festumzügen, Volksfesten und waren auch für die Dorf-Entwicklung und Dorfgemeinschaft wichtig. Bereits die historischen Schulen als Vorläufer der heutigen Ludwig-Richter-Schule Lotzdorf waren immer Ausgangspunkt vielfältiger Aktionen. Die hiermit vorgestellte Chronik der Schulfeste und Ereignisse mit vielen Fotodokumenten, spiegelt eine Dorfgemeinschaft wider, die mit bewunderungswürdigen Aktionen immer wieder ihr Dorf auf hohem Niveau feierte, auch über die sogenannte „Wendezeit“ nach 1989 hinaus. Es ist Tradition geblieben, dass sich bis heute, zu gemeinsamen Klassentreffen der gesamten Schule, die Schüler aller Jahrgänge zu einem großen Fest vereinen und auch von überall her an ihre einstige Schule, in ihr Dorf kommen.

The aim of this study was to create a strong sustainable brand for the CQ-fest event and to report on the development stages and methods used during the process. In order to do this, specific contexts had to be considered; these were firstly the theories of brand development models and secondly the implementation and execution of the visual communication of the CQ-fest brand. The execution of the project was conducted by means of workshops held with the fourth-year Graphic Design students at North-West University. This study assessed and investigated which brand development model provided the most appropriate processes to develop a structured brand and ensure effective brand communication. The knowledge obtained through a detailed literature review led to the application of Van Auken's (2005:99) brand development model, specifically the agency brief, using action research as research method. This resulted in the development of an appropriate brand for the CQ-fest event. The application of Van Auken's (2005:99) agency brief as theoretical basis and its application by means of action research in the development process provided the brand with structure, direction and clear communication messages. It also assisted towards a well organised work plan that provided easy to follow steps and structure to achieve the objectives of the brand development. The use of action research together with the agency brief therefore proved to be successful within the educational context of the study. This study contributed towards the field of branding by demonstrating how the combination of action research and Van Auken's brand development model can be applied together to develop a strong and sustainable brand within an educational context.

The present study titled " Viva El Rey ": Acclamation and celebration for D. Joseph I in Pernambuco (1742-1777) has the intention to analyze the festivities that were performed for the monarch in the captaincy of Pernambuco, specifically in the village of Recife and Olinda city, by occasion of his acclamation and celebration of his life and health due the events of the earthquake and outrage. From the practice of celebrating the king without his actual presence, we see these statements as a way to bring the sovereign to the location with the aid of representatives formed by members of the local elite, who organized and took part in these celebrations. We analyze these parties as an efficient feature exaltation of the king and statement of royal power, as well as a way of demonstrating loyalty and allegiance to the monarch by their distant vassals. Our writing focuses on the final years of the reign of King John V, father of D. Joseph I, and then we pass by all his reign, which lasted twenty years ending with his death in 1777.
O presente trabalho intitulado “Viva El Rey”: Aclamação e celebração para D. José I em Pernambuco (1742-1777) tem como pretensão analisar os festejos que foram realizados para o monarca na capitania de Pernambuco, mais precisamente na vila do Recife e cidade de Olinda, pelas ocasiões da sua aclamação e celebração por sua vida e saúde devido aos acontecimentos do terremoto e atentado. A partir da prática de celebrar o rei sem sua efetiva presença, vemos essas demonstrações como uma forma de trazer o soberano para a localidade com o auxílio de seus representantes formados pelos membros das elites locais, os quais organizavam e participavam destas celebrações. Analisamos essas festas como um recurso eficiente de exaltação do rei e afirmação do poder real, bem como uma forma de demonstração de lealdade e fidelidade ao monarca por parte dos seus vassalos distantes. Nossa escrita se centra nos anos finais do reinado de D. João V, pai de D. José I. Em seguida, perpassamos todo seu reinado, que teve duração de vinte anos, finalizando com seu falecimento no ano de 1777.

Nesta pesquisa tive como objetivo conhecer a música das Caixeiras do Divino em suas formas contemporâneas, em construções musicais desenvolvidas em zonas de contato (Hall 2003) construídas no processo de colonização e sua continuidade para além dele. Estas formas foram aqui compreendidas como construções, e não redescobertas e aportam relevantes informações sobre a nossa formação intercultural, transnacional. Este trabalho inclui dados sobre o amplo contexto histórico do povoamento do Maranhão como apoio para uma aproximação do universo no qual se construiu a música e os cultos festivos ao Divino. A pesquisa, sobre esta construção musical, seus processos de livre apropriação e recombinação de elementos, foi apoiada também por análises estruturais em estreito diálogo com o contexto no qual ela é produzida. Estas análises são um suporte para o diálogo com os significados atribuídos pelas Caixeiras a seu repertório musical, os quais oferecem outras possibilidades de leitura para os dados objetivos construídos pela pesquisa.
The goal of this research was to get knowledge about the music of Caixeiras do Divino in its contemporary forms, within musical constructions developed in contact zones (Hall, 2003), during diasporic process in the colonization time. Those forms were comprehended as constructions, instead rediscoveries, and holds relevant information about our intercultural and cross-national formation. It were included data about the historic context belonging to the population of Maranhão (Brazil) with the intention to provide a support to claim a relationship between Holy Spirit festive worships and the music of Caixeiras do Divino. To that, It was studied geographic aspects related to different regions of Maranhão. The research about the musical construction of Caixeiras do Divino involved musical analysis. These analysis also intended shedding light on the process of free apropriation e recomposition of elements intrinsec to this repertoire. These analysis were accomplished within a contextual thinking, that means, always having in mind the social context where this music is created. Thus, these analysis offer a support for the dialog between the music and the meanings atributed to it by the Caixeiras do Divino, showing other possibilities for reading the data produced in this research.
