Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this study is to propose innovating compact filters, to be integrated within future or current microwave equipments, such as radars or electronic warfare devices. Learning on coupling matrices theory, already existing structures and multilayer technologies, new kinds of coupling have been investigated and new filtering structures have been developed such as the Vertical Inter-digital Filters (VIF), the “snake” filters or the Folded Inter-digital Filters (FIF). A method to synthesize VIF has been elaborated, and benefits from contributions of the Rectangular Boundary Division Method (RBDM) to calculate more precisely couplings in VIF structures. The validation of the proposed filters, by the manufacturing and the measurement of reference structures, made possible the development of more accomplished devices. As a result, this study brings to designers a whole sample group of innovating and compact filters

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis was to demonstrated that optical quality thin layers based on chalcogenide glasses can be manufactured using electron beam deposition. In particular, we carried out a detailed study of As2S3 layers for the realization of multilayer optical filters. These layers have photosensitive properties and it has been shown that photoinduced optical thickness (index and / or thickness) variations can be either positive (+ 4%) or negative (-2%). We have also shown that by using Ag / As2S3 bilayers, it is possible, by photoinduced phenomena, to control the local transmitted amplitude. We then demonstrated that these chalcogenide layers are compatible with the fabrication of single and multi-cavity Fabry-Perot band-pass optical interference filters and that the use of chalcogenide-based layers not only allows the fabrication of optical filters with performances similar to those obtained with conventional optical thin film materials but also to improve these performances by performing an a-posteriori correction of the variations of the optical properties over the surface of the component and produce components with very high uniformity. Finally, we have shown that the use of chalcogenide glass layers offers a new approach for the fabrication of optical diffractive optical elements. To achieve this, we have developed a dedicated technique for the production of volumetric diffractive optical elements (similar to lithography) for producing similar diffractive optical elements but based on photoinduced index variations

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleHyperspectral mosaic filter appears to be the perfect solution to lighten the spectral imagers used in space missions. Such applications require the use of multilayer interference filters. This work aims to find solutions to achieve hyperspectral mosaic filter with interference filters rather than the conventionally used coloured resins. In order to achieve this, a theoretical study on the simplification of multilayer designs was performed. It appears that the stacks are thicker, which makes them difficult to pattern. Several methods of patterning were studied, especially the lift-off technique which is traditionally used and the lift-up. The latter has the advantage to avoid adding the technological risk associated with each filter production. A trade-off between these two techniques was done as well as experimental productions. These were then characterized by a bench developed for this purpose which has experimentally validate the technique used
