Among these courses, those with a hands-on, place-based pedagogical approach and aligned with problem-based and case-based learning methodologies have proven to be particularly successful in regard to addressing the recognized difficulty that students experience in transferring their classroom knowledge to the field environment. This article presents a comprehensive survey of the seismic impact experienced by urban tunnels, with a specific focus on the Line 7 of the Tehran Metro. Employing finite element software during Phase 2 of modeling, the study investigates the potential effects of seismic activity on tunnel stability. The research involves a meticulous examination of concurrent factors, primarily alterations in earthquake acceleration values and adjustments to the depth of the tunnel. The findings reveal that effective maintenance practices within the underground Metro Stations play a crucial role in minimizing

Accessibility and uptake of geoscience knowledge by First Nations and Inuit community members has traditionally been limited. This is, at least in part, due to the technical nature of geological maps and the expensive licensing requirements of the geographic information system software that is used to view and analyse geoscience data. During the Foundational Year of GEM GeoNorth, we investigated the potential of available apps and platforms, including NRCan Observer, Rockd and SIKU to broaden access and knowledge sharing of geoscience with non-specialists. Most prospective was SIKU - a mobile

Bulk quantitative mineralogy of regolith is a useful indicator of lithological precursor (protolith), degree of weathering, and soil properties affecting various potential landuse decisions. To date, no national-scale maps of regolith mineralogy are available in Australia. Catchment outlet sediments collected over 80% of the continent as part of the National Geochemical Survey of Australia (NGSA) afford a unique opportunity to rapidly and cost-effectively determine regolith mineralogy using the archived sample material. This report releases mineralogical data and metadata obtained as part of a
