The paper considers the state of the fisheries industry in Russia in context of national projects and the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation. It is shown that currently the industry level excludes the possibility of national projects realisation due to the lack of mechanisms. Population parameters for Red Pandora, Pagellus bellottii (Steindachner, 1882) from the eastern coastline of Ghana, using length-frequency data from June 2014 to January 2015 were assessed.
