Conhecer a quantidade e a composição dos resíduos de serviço de saúde (RSS) é fundamental para a implementação de planos e sistemas de gestão nos estabelecimentos geradores. Por isso, objetivou-se analisar a produção e composição dos RSS de hospitais da região do vale do Itajaí, estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil.
