Annotation:

Neste artigo comparativo técnico são utilizados os recursos de duas importantes ferramentas da história da IBM, sendo eles: IBM Z e IBM POWER SYSTEM. Ambos os sistemas são dotados de tecnologia atual e utilizam como base de sistema operacional o Linux RedHat compilado de forma igual, dispostos de hardware equivalentes. Nessa abordagem, o objetivo principal é comparar a performance das arquiteturas utilizando a linguagem C baseando-se em um script elaborado para o teste, além de um teste com cargas de estresse comumente utilizado em ambientes Linux. Os resultados apresentam o tempo de resposta obtido após as execuções dentro das limitações escolhidas pelos autores e o recurso de hardware utilizado para obter os dados consolidados e a conclusão da melhor disposição de cada ambiente nos testes propostos nessa obra.

Da lahko zaposleni sledijo tem trendom, je IBM oblikoval platformo e-izobraževanj, ki dopolnjuje klasična izobraževanja. Ker so strokovnjaki z določenih področij razpršeni po vsem svetu, je e-izobraževanje priročna oblika, kako doseči izobraževalne učinke brez dolgih potovanj in odsotnosti. Izobraževanje je v IBM zelo pomembno – poudarjeno je na kadrovski ravni in ravni osebnih ciljev. Annotation:

In this research, the ground state gamma ray bands of even 114-124 Cd isotopes are calculated using interacting boson model (IBM-1). The theoretical energy levels for Z = 48, N = 66–76 up to spin-parity 8+ have been obtained by using PHINT computer program. The values of the parameters in the IBM-1 Hamiltonian yield the best fit to the experimental energy spectrum. The calculated results of the ground state energy band are compared to the previous experimental results and the obtained theoretical calculations in IBM-1 are in good agreement with the experimental energy level.

This article describes the family of emulators for IBM mainframe architectures, their development history, functional features and capability, as well as the experience of many years (since 1994) of emulators development and their implementation area. There was sold the relatively simple task (for modern standards) of creating a virtual machine in the VSE/ESA operating system for transferring legacy platform-dependent applications to this target environment. The problem was solved at first for EU computers in Russia, and then for IBM 9221 in Germany and in the other western countries. The transfer was made to the OS/390 environment, and to IBM AIX, quite modern at that time. The virtual execution of any existing IBM mainframe operating systems in the main server OS environments: Linux, Windows, AIX, Z/OS, ZLinux had been provided. There was developed the solution for combining any types of formed virtual computing nodes into heterogeneous geographically distributed computing networks that provide, in particular, multiple mutual redundancy of nodes in the network.

Mixed-symmetry and isospin excited states are typical of the interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3). With a view to look for such states, levels scheme of the IBM-3 dynamical symmetry is discussed. A systematic investigation in the proton and neutron degrees of freedom of the energy levels has been carried out. A sequence of isospin excitation bands has been identified. We have analyzed the wave functions and given the symmetrical labeling of the states. The transition probabilities between the isospin excitation states of model limits are analyzed in terms of isoscalar and isovector decompositions. The present calculations suggest that a combination of isospin excitation and mixed-symmetry states can provide substantial information on the structure of nuclear states. Calculations for [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] nuclei are presented and compared with the results of the shell model and available experimental data.

For nuclei with 54≤Z≤60 and 86≤N≤94, the results regarding the excitation spectra at low energies, both in positive and negative parity, as well as the transition probabilities for electric dipole (B(E1)), quadrupole (B(E2)), and octupole transitions (B(E(3)), indicate the emergence of significant octupole behavior. These observations have been made using the Interacting Boson Model-1 (IBM-1). The study examines the onset of octupole deformation and its impact on the spectroscopic characteristics in even-even neutron-rich lanthanide isotopes, specifically in the Ba and Nd nuclei. The investigation compares the results obtained from the Interacting Boson Model-1 (IBM-1) with the existing experimental data. The focus is on understanding how the addition of neutrons influences the development of octupole deformation and its manifestation in the observed spectroscopic features. The onset of strong octupolarity for Z≈ 56 and N ≈ 88 nuclei is indicated by the results obtained for the electric dipole, quadrupole, and octupole transition probabilities, as well as the low-energy positive and negative-parity excitation spectra. Conversely, discrepancies between the spectroscopic data and the IBM results suggest that the mapping quality needs to be evaluated in order to determine if the mapped boson Hamiltonian or the fermionic calculations are the source of the issues.

This paper offers a detailed review of CICS by exploring its historical evolution, diverse architectural models, and the role of its specialized regions (TOR, AOR, DOR, and FOR). It discusses how resources are defined, stored, and managed via CSD and CEDA and explains CICS data objects and storage areas. A significant focus is given to the mechanics of transaction processing, supported by discussions on ACID properties, commit and rollback mechanisms, and recovery and restart features. The paper also examines various CICS components like Task Control Blocks (TCBs), internal, inter, and external communication interfaces, and integration with external resource managers for MQ & DB2. Finally, the paper explores transaction processing with coding examples and explanations. This paper represents a personal interpretation and synthesis of IBM documentation intended to aid those seeking to deepen their knowledge of CICS.

We aimed to study growth patterns according to rapid weight gain (RWG) and infant feeding practices during the first 120 days and whether infant feeding practices mediated the association between RWG in the first semester of life and subsequent body mass index (BMI) z-score in children from age 1 to 6. (1) Methods: 862 children from the Growth and Feeding during Lactation and Early Childhood in Children of Aragon study (CALINA in Spanish) were examined. Repeated-measures ANOVA analyses were conducted to assess growth trajectories according to RWG and type of feeding practice. The product of coefficients mediation method was used to assess the potential contribution of infant feeding practices to the association between RWG and BMI z-score. Mediation models were conducted using IBM SPSS-PROCESS Statistics for Windows, Version 26.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp. (2) Results: BMI and weight z-score trajectories were significantly higher in the RWG group and the formula-fed group. No significant differences were found regarding height. Infant feeding practices did not mediate the association between RWG and BMI z-score but were associated with BMI at 6 years. (3) Conclusions: Infant feeding practices and RWG determine different growth trajectories of BMI and weight during childhood. Although infant feeding practices did not mediate the association between early RWG and BMI later in life, formula feeding is independently related to higher BMI growth patterns later in childhood.

This study aims to identify the factors that influence investment decisions for millennials and Generation Z in Purwokerto. The quantitative method was used in this study, and primary data was collected through a survey. The population of this research is millennials and Generation Z in Purwokerto, which comprises 125 respondents. IBM SPSS Statistics 26 was used to analyse the research data to conclude. The results stated that financial literacy, overconfidence, herding, and risk tolerance positively affect investment decisions. This is because millennials and Generation Z have sound economic knowledge, high confidence in making decisions, have people as a reference in taking action, and see risks when deciding to invest. Meanwhile, risk perception hurts millennial and Generation Z investment decisions in Purwokerto.

This study examines the impact of Work-Life Balance, Self-Esteem, and Work Motivation on Organizational Commitment among Gen Z employees. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 224 Gen Z employees in Tangerang through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS version 30. Self-Esteem (β = X, p < 0.05) and Work Motivation (β = Y, p < 0.05) significantly impact Organizational Commitment, while Work-Life Balance (β = Z, p > 0.05) does not. This suggests that organizations should focus on enhancing Self-Esteem and Work Motivation to increase the commitment of Gen Z employees. The study provides implications for companies to adopt strategies that foster personal growth and motivation, helping to retain and engage this generation in the workplace.

Zastosowanie metod statystycznych w połączeniu z usystematyzowaną wiedzą na temat restrukturyzacji w istotny sposób wzmacnia efektywność przeprowadzanych procesów restrukturyzacji. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest porównanie kilku metod statystycznych oraz pokazanie możliwości ich zastosowania w mierzeniu efektów przeprowadzanych restrukturyzacji w przedsiębiorstwach. Przykłady podane odnoszą się do bardzo dokładnej analizy studium przypadku Volkswagena, gdzie wyniki kwartalne obejmujące zostały zbadane w okres 10 lat. Statystyczna metoda regresji wielorakiej została zastosowana w obliczeniach, a dodatkowo przeprowadzono obliczenia z wykorzystaniem IBM wersji 20) do dziesięciu modeli, w trzech przedziałach czasowych na kwartał (48 okresów). Uzyskane wyniki potwierdziły hipotezę badawczą. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem danych finansowych, które są ogólnie dostępne. Kluczowa w tym badaniu jest wykorzystana statystyczna metoda oceny.

Studi ini mempunyai maksud dalam mengeksplorasi bagaimana persepsi Generasi Z pada penggelapan pajak dapat dipengaruhi oleh media sosial sebagai variabel moderasi. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam studi ini bersifat kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner kepada 150 individu wajib pajak yang tergolong dalam Generasi Z, yaitu mereka yang lahir antara tahun 1996 hingga 2013 dan telah memiliki NPWP. Dalam analisis data, digunakan IBM SPSS 25 dan metode Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Studi ini menemukan bahwa persepsi Generasi Z berperan dalam menekan praktik penggelapan pajak. Kemudahan akses terhadap informasi membuat mereka menyadari bahwa tindakan tersebut merupakan sesuatu yang tidak benar. Selain itu, media sosial memperkuat pengaruh persepsi Generasi Z terhadap penggelapan pajak. Dengan keterbukaan yang dimiliki oleh Generasi Z, ditambah dengan pemanfaatan media sosial oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pajak (DJP), informasi mengenai perpajakan dan praktik kecurangan pajak semakin mudah dijangkau oleh mereka. Media sosial memainkan fungsi yang krusial untuk memajukan pemahaman Generasi Z terhadap isu penggelapan pajak, akibatnya dapat mengurangi kecenderungan mereka dalam melakukan tindakan tersebut.

Ostatnie lata przyniosły wzrost zainteresowania problematyką stresu zawodowego, zwłaszcza związanego ze środowiskiem pracy, oraz skutków jego oddziaływania na kondycję psychofizyczną pracowników. Praca w Policji wiąże się z wysokim poziomem stresu zawodowego. Stresogenność tego zawodu z roku na rok przybiera na sile, co wynika z wielu powodów, spośród których za najistotniejsze można uznać: częste uczestniczenie w sytuacjach trudnych, czasami dramatycznych, narażanie życia własnego i innych, podejmowanie szybkich decyzji, podejrzenia o nieuzasadnione użycie broni, kontakt z ludźmi, którzy doświadczają traumatycznych przeżyć. Wysoki poziom stresu związanego z wykonywaniem zawodu policjanta wiąże się także z innymi czynnikami, takimi jak niskie zarobki, zmianowość, przeciążenie pracą papierkową. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie zjawiska wypalenia zawodowego wśród funkcjonariuszy Policji na przykładzie Komendy Miejskiej Policji w Krakowie i Komendy Miejskiej Policji w Kielcach. Główny problem badawczy zawierał się w pytaniu dotyczącym występowania skali zjawiska wypalenia zawodowego wśród funkcjonariuszy tych komend. Badaniami objęto 244 funkcjonariuszy, wykonując obliczenia za pomocą analizy statystycznej IBM SPSS Statistics 26 i Pearsona oraz analiza wariancji ANOVA

We generalize the Gaussian Mixture Autoregressive (GMAR) model to the Fisher’s z Mixture Autoregressive (ZMAR) model for modeling nonlinear time series. The model consists of a mixture of K-component Fisher’s z autoregressive models with the mixing proportions changing over time. This model can capture time series with both heteroskedasticity and multimodal conditional distribution, using Fisher’s z distribution as an innovation in the MAR model. The ZMAR model is classified as nonlinearity in the level (or mode) model because the mode of the Fisher’s z distribution is stable in its location parameter, whether symmetric or asymmetric. Using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm, e.g., the No-U-Turn Sampler (NUTS), we conducted a simulation study to investigate the model performance compared to the GMAR model and Student t Mixture Autoregressive (TMAR) model. The models are applied to the daily IBM stock prices and the monthly Brent crude oil prices. The results show that the proposed model outperforms the existing ones, as indicated by the Pareto-Smoothed Important Sampling Leave-One-Out cross-validation (PSIS-LOO) minimum criterion.
