Die Metrology Light Source wurde schon in der Planungsphase auf den quasi-isochronen Betrieb ausgelegt. Es stehen Quadrupol-, Sextupol- und Oktupolmagnete zur Verfügung, um die drei führenden Ordnungen des sogenannten momentum compaction factors zu kontrollieren.
