Annotation:

Kiszona kapusta jest produktem powszechnie spożywanym w Polsce. Otrzymywana jest nadal w sposób tradycyjny w wyniku fermentacji spontanicznej przez rodzime mikroorganizmy zasiedlające liście kapusty, którymi są głównie bakterie kwasu mlekowego. W trakcie fermentacji uaktywniają się także drożdże, których negatywna działalność może prowadzić do podwyższenia pH i rozwoju bakterii gnilnych. Celem pracy było określenie mikroflory drożdżowej występującej w kapuście kiszonej produkowanej przemysłowo oraz otrzymywanej w wyniku spontanicznej fermentacji w gospodarstwach rolnych w okolicach Muszyny. Mikroorganizmy izolowano przy użyciu agaru WL z dodatkiem chloramfenikolu w ilości 0,1 g/l, a izolaty różnicowano metodą RAPD-PCR z wykorzystaniem markera M13 i identyfikowane poprzez sekwencjonowanie regionu ITS. Najwięcej drożdży stwierdzono w próbkach kapusty otrzymanych metodami tradycyjnymi w gospodarstwach w gminie Muszyna (2,3 ÷ 15,9·103 jtk/g) oraz w jednym produkcie komercyjnym (2,8·103 jtk/g). W pozostałych analizowanych kiszonych kapustach nie stwierdzono ich obecności. Wśród izolatów wykryto przedstawicieli dwóch gatunków drożdży Cryptococcus macerans oraz Debaryomyces hansenii, przy czym drugi z nich został zróżnicowany metodą RAPD-PCR na 3 różne profile elektroforetyczne. Obecność zidentyfikowanych mikroorganizmów była ściśle uzależniona od analizowanej próbki, co mogło być związane z technologią produkcji kiszonej kapusty, a także z odmianą użytego surowca. Występowanie oznaczonych gatunków drożdży w gotowym produkcie może przyczyniać się do skrócenia czasu jego przydatności do spożycia i pojawienia się objawów zepsucia.

The basis of the technology of functional foods, as is known, is the presence of high content of nutrients, the ability to influence certain parts of the potential consumer. Fermented milk products in this regard are natural representatives of this group. The use of sour milk drinks with phytonutrients of different physical state will contribute not only to additional profits due to the sale of new biologically valuable and very important for public health products, but also to solve such an important problem of all food companies as complex processing of raw materials. related environmental issues. Taking into account the relevance of the topic, research was planned to study the possibility of using a new domestic cryoadditive – cryopowder “Morska Kapusta” in the technology of such a popular sour milk drink as yogurt. Scientific research was conducted in the scientific laboratory of the Department of Milk Technology and Dairy Products of Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies Lviv and in production. Formulations of thermostatic yoghurts (1.5 %) with cryopowder of domestic production “Morska Kapusta” were developed and proposed for industrial production. The technological scheme of production of thermostatic yoghurts (mchzh 1.5 %) with cryopowder of domestic production “Morska Kapusta” is offered. The main organoleptic and technological characteristics of thermostatic yogurts (1.5 %) with cryopowder of domestic production “Morska Kapusta” were studied. Experimental samples of thermostatic yogurts (1.5 % weight) with cryopowder of domestic production “Morska Kapusta” had high levels of all regulatory vitamins. The proposed types of thermostatic yogurts (1.5 %) with cryopowder “Morska Kapusta” are characterized by an increase in the amount of sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine + cystine) and tryptophan, and the lack of limiting amino acids in the combined sample of yogurt indicates an increase in biological value. Prototypes of thermostatic yogurts (1.5 %) with cryopowder of domestic production “Morska Kapusta” retained the technological characteristics and regulatory safety indicators during the standard storage time.

The focus of this review article is on Understanding Abstract Concepts across Modes in Multimodal Discourse: A Cognitive-Linguistic Approach (2020), the latest monograph by professor Elżbieta Górska of Warsaw University, a leading Polish researcher in the area of multimodality studies informed by cognitive linguistics. The goal of this article is twofold. On the one hand, the article aims at evaluating Górska’s monograph on its own merits, as a self-contained study of the cognitive processes involved in the interpretation of multimodal works of art by Janusz Kapusta, with an emphasis on conceptual metaphor, conceptual metonymy, and their interplay. On the other hand, the article aims at considering a number of thorny concepts underlying much of the current linguistically informed research into multimodal communication (notably, modality/mode, medium, and genre) by using Górska’s monograph as a springboard for their discussion.

What it is to be gendered remains a disputed topic in feminist philosophy, not to mention in the quotidian struggle over gender categories as they are lived and questioned outside the academy. In this paper I want to explore what contemporary work in analytic feminist philosophy can tell us about how the “categories we live by,” or the categories that organize our social lives and constitute our identities, can sometimes render life unlivable because of their restrictive or oppressive effects (Kapusta; Ásta Sveinsdóttir, “Metaphysics”; Butler, Undoing 4 and Notes). The phrase “categories we die for” captures this ambiguity. On the one hand, many of us have died, and continue to, for gender categories that we couldn't, or refused to, live up to. Think of the violence done in the name of normative and regulatory gender ideals to gender nonconformists—those who do not find a place in gender binarism (“man/woman”) or sexual dimorphism (“male/female”). Queer populations continue to be vulnerable to marginalization, pathologization, and aggression for not doing their gender, sex, or sexuality “correctly” (i.e., heteronormatively or cisnormatively). In this sense, social categories and norms can ruin lives, and we ought to argue against their restrictive regulation. On the other hand, we are also willing to stand behind, defend, and even sacrifice ourselves for gender categories that promise to make life more livable, flexible, and sustainable for those we cherish (Kapusta; Butler, Undoing). When we fight for the recognition of categories like “genderqueer,” “trans∗,” and “agender” we seem to be saying that these are categories worth dying for (a further issue, we will see, is whether binary gender categories like “man” and “woman” per se are worth dying for, or whether the effort to make these existing categories more inclusive is). The contemporary struggle to expand the compass of gender terms and concepts, to expand the sense of the livable, seeks to make categories more inclusive. When we mobilize for trans∗ inclusiveness, gender variance, intersex visibility, and more, we are fighting for categories to be protected, in law and in life. So, to speak of “categories we are dying for,” as I will, implies both a punitive sense (“categories due to which many of us die”) and a positive sense (“categories worth dying for”). Depending on their uses and effects, gender categories can make or break one's life.

Cechy sensoryczne warzyw kapustnych są znaczącym wyróżnikiem dla konsumentów. Charakterystyczny gorzki posmak tych warzyw wynika głównie z obecności glukozynolanów i jest uważany za podstawową przeszkodę w ich akceptacji. Wiadomo jednak, że sposób przygotowania warzyw do spożycia może w istotnym stopniu wpłynąć na ich cechy sensoryczne. Celem pracy była ocena sensoryczna czterech gatunków warzyw kapustnych, takich jak: brokuły, kalafior o róży białej, kalafior typu Romanesco i kapusta brukselska, poddanych zróżnicowanej obróbce hydrotermicznej – gotowaniu tradycyjnemu, parowaniu i technice sous-vide. Bezpośrednio po obróbce termicznej warzywa były oceniane sensorycznie z zastosowaniem metod: skalowania (metody 5-punktowej i 9-stopniowej skali hedonicznej), szeregowania do ustalenia preferencji oraz opisowej profilowania sensorycznego z użyciem skali ustrukturowanej. Dodatkowo przeprowadzono instrumentalny pomiar barwy warzyw. W ocenie przeprowadzonej metodą skalowania przy użyciu skali 5-punktowej nie wykazano istotnego zróżnicowania analizowanych cech sensorycznych w zależności od metody obróbki termicznej. Na podstawie wyników oceny sensorycznej według 9-stopniowej skali hedonicznej stwierdzono, że kalafior, brokuł oraz brukselka przygotowane do spożycia metodą parowania i gotowania metodą sous-vide charakteryzują się wyższą jakością sensoryczną niż tradycyjnie gotowane w wodzie. Ocena przeprowadzona metodą opisową profilowania sensorycznego z użyciem skali ustrukturowanej umożliwiła wykazanie, że tekstura zarówno warzyw gotowanych metodą sous-vide, jak i parowanych była wyżej oceniana niż gotowanych tradycyjnie. Jak wykazano na podstawie instrumentalnego pomiaru barwy i obliczonej na tej podstawie wartości ΔE, barwa warzyw przygotowanych metodą sous-vide była najbardziej zbliżona do barwy warzyw surowych.

The production of large extra dimension (LXD) black holes (BHs), with a new, fundamental mass scale of Mf = 1 TeV , has been predicted to occur at the Large Hadron Collider, LHC, with the formidable rate of 108 per year in p-p collisions at full energy, 14 TeV, and at full luminosity. We show that such LXD-BH formation will be experimentally observable at the LHC by the complete disappearance of all very high pt (> 500 GeV) back-to-back correlated Di-Jets of total mass M > Mf = 1 TeV , in the large detectors ALICE, ATLAS and CMS. We suggest complementing this clear cut-off signal at M > 2*500 GeV in the di-jet-correlation function by detecting the subsequent, Hawking-decay products of the LXD-BHs, namely either multiple high energy (> 100 GeV) SM Mono-Jets (i.e. away-side jet missing), sprayed off the evaporating BHs isentropically into all directions or the thermalization of the multiple overlapping Hawking-radiation in a Heckler–Kapusta-plasma: The extreme energy density of the Hawking Radiation may yield a Heckler–Kapusta–Hawking quark–gluon plasma of SM — and SUSY — particles at temperatures above the electroweak phase transition, which hydrodynamically (isentropically) evolves and cools until the quark–hadron phasetransition and chemical freezeout at T ~ 100 MeV is reached. Microcanonical quantum statistical calculations of the Hawking evaporation process for these LXD-BHs show that cold black hole remnants (BHRs) of mass ~ Mf remain leftover as the ashes of these spectacular di-jet-suppressed events. The BHRs are charged and can be detected as a track in the Central TPC of ALICE. Strong di-jet suppression is also expected with heavy ion beams at the LHC, due to quark–gluon-plasma induced jet attenuation at medium to low jet energies, pt < 200 GeV . The (mono-) jets in these events can be used to trigger tsunami-emission of secondary compressed QCD-matter at well defined Mach-angles, both at the trigger side and at the awayside (missing) jet. The Machshock angles allow for a direct measurement of both the equation of state EoS and the speed of sound cs via supersonic bang in the "big bang" matter. We discuss the importance of the underlying strong collective flow — the gluon storm — of the QCD matter for the formation and evolution of these Machshock cones. We predict a significant deformation of Mach shocks from the gluon storm in central Au + Au collisions at RHIC and LHC energies, as compared to the case of weakly coupled jets propagating through a static medium. A possible complete stopping of pt > 50 GeV jets at the LHC in 2–3 fm yields nonlinear high density Mach shocks in the quark–gluon plasma, which can be studied in the complex emission and disintegration pattern of the possibly supercooled matter. We report on first full three-dimensional fluid dynamical studies of the strong effects of a first order phase transition on the evolution and the tsunami-like Mach shock emission of the QCD matter.

AbstractIn this article, we study the Kapustin–Witten equations on a closed, simply connected, four-dimensional manifold which were introduced by Kapustin and Witten. We use Taubes’ compactness theorem [C. H. Taubes, Compactness theorems for {\mathrm{SL}(2;\mathbb{C})} generalizations of the 4-dimensional anti-self dual equations, preprint 2014, https://arxiv.org/abs/1307.6447v4] to prove that if {(A,\phi)} is a smooth solution to the Kapustin–Witten equations and the connection A is closed to a generic ASD connection {A_{\infty}}, then {(A,\phi)} must be a trivial solution. We also prove that the moduli space of the solutions to the Kapustin–Witten equations is non-connected if the connections on the compactification of moduli space of ASD connections are all generic. At last, we extend the results for the Kapustin–Witten equations to other equations on gauge theory such as the Hitchin–Simpson equations and the Vafa–Witten on a compact Kähler surface.

Injil Kristus yang dihidupi oleh St. Fransiskus adalah dasar pedoman pendidikan Kapusin di atasnya dibangun gagasan berharga dan pola pendidikan yang relevan. St. Fransiskus memesankan agar para saudara menghayati Injil terutama hidup bersaudara dengan love freely given, fidelity to Poverty and obedience to the Church. Pelaku aktif dan inspiratif di zaman aktual adalah pribadi berinegritas, matang dalam 5 dimensi: kharismatis, manusiawi, rohani, intelektual, dan misi. Pribadi yang berintegritas berpengaruh di konteks anthropological pluralism and the digital world (cyber-anthropology). Kekayaan berakar kharisma serta budaya berbeda perlu dipelajari, serta kemajuan bersayap baru dalam wajah teknologi baru khusunya teknologi media sosial, pantas digeluti secara bertanggung jawab. Anggur baru harus ditempatkan dalam kantong kulit baru. Dengan menghidupi dan mengobarkan nyala kharisma kapusin bernew mindset dalam new contexts, para saudara Kapusin generasi baru hidup bersuka cita untuk membangunkan dunia.

Za podstawę analizy przyjmuje bogaty materiał XIX- i XX-wieczny (różnogatunkowe teksty folkloru oraz zapisy wierzeń i opisy praktyk), pochodzący z kartoteki Słownika stereotypów i symboli ludowych, którego tom Rośliny jest obecnie opracowywany.</p><p>Zabiegi mające sprawić, że głowy kapusty będą duże i twarde, a strączki grochu pełne, miały przede wszystkim charakter religijny i/lub magiczny i w dużej mierze oparte były na wierze w sprawczą moc słowa. Źródłem „mocy wegetacyjnej” mogło być kilka sfer, m.in.: sacrum (np. Bóg, Pan Jezus, Matka Boska i święci uprawiający w kolędach ziemię gospodarza i tym samym zapewniający obfitość plonów), „kosmos” (np. gwiazdy i fazy księżyca wyznaczające korzystny/niekorzystny czas siewu), przyroda (np. inne rośliny sadzone na zagonach dla odwrócenia uroków) oraz człowiek i jego ciało (np. tańce na urodzaj wyzwalające i przekazujące siły witalne).</p>

Dwanaście linii wsobnych kapusty głowiastej białej otrzymanych w Pracowni Genetyki i Hodowli Roślin Warzywnych, Zakład Hodowli Roślin Ogrodniczych Instytutu Ogrodnictwa-PIB zostało poddanych ocenie pod względem cech morfologicznych i agro-ekonomicznych, dynamice wzrostu systemu korzeniowego, intensywności fotosyntezy oraz transpiracji mających wpływ na ich odporność na stres suszy. Badania prowadzono w warunkach kontrolowanych w fazie wiązania główek jak również w fazie dojrzałości zbiorczej na polu doświadczalnym. Wszystkie linie wsobne odznaczały się wysoką wartością hodowlaną oraz wyrównaniem, były również silnie zróżnicowane pod względem badanych cech. Linie wsobne kapusty różniły się pod względem reakcji na stres suszy. Genotypy o silnej dynamice rozwoju systemu korzeniowego, mniejszych liściach oraz kompaktowym pokroju roślin, które odznaczały się silniejszym ograniczeniem fotosyntezy oraz transpiracji w warunkach stresu suszy, mogą być wykorzystywane do hodowli odpornościowej. Wysoki poziom zróżnicowania linii wsobnych umożliwia uzyskanie efektu heterozji przy tworzeniu nowych eksperymentalnych mieszańców F1 lepiej przystosowanych do niekorzystnych warunków środowiska w tym na stres niedoboru wody.

The brush-tailed rock-wallaby (Petrogale penicillata) is now extinct west of the Great Dividing Range, apart from remnant populations in the Warrumbungles and at Mt Kaputar. Previous genetic analysis has identified deep genetic subdivisions within P. penicillata, but samples from Mt Kaputar were not included. Mitochondrial DNA sequences obtained from Mt Kaputar and the Warrumbungles clustered within the Central ESU, extending its distribution north of the Hunter River onto the north-western slopes adjacent to populations of the Northern ESU. These highly threatened western populations are the only P. penicillata persisting in semiarid conditions. This makes them of particular value to the long-term survival of the species and their conservation should be a priority.

In this article, we examine metaphors in economics, specifically looking at the term capital and its family of metaphors, and investigate the role they play in a capitalist economy. Serving as a means of communicating complex ideas and outstripping their literal meanings, metaphors become a part of the developing knowledge in a discipline. We demonstrate how a metaphor constitutes an active interchange between a word and the complex idea it signifies, and, by extension, the formation of yet another idea results. We show how, from the parent metaphors capital and capitalism, there developed a number of derivative (i.e., sibling or relational) metaphors that describe the different functions and forms of capital in capitalism. And we point out metaphors related to different types of goods and property that exist in a capitalist economy. Are the family of metaphors of capital helpful or harmful to capitalism? To the extent that metaphors enrich and expand its language, we submit that they do indeed contribute to the survival of the capitalist society which spawns them.

The article represents the scientific achievements and work of a Ukrainian botanist, candidate of agricultural sciences, director of the O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden (1987–2006, 2008–2012), Vasyl Kapustyan, who died on August 19, 2020, after a long illness.Vasyl Kapustyan was born on July 24, 1942. In 1965 he graduated from the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy, and in 1972 received the degree of candidate of agricultural sciences. Since 1974, the work of Vasyl Kapustyan was associated with the O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden, where he served in 1975–1987 as deputy director and head of the sector of tropical and subtropical plants, in 1987–1997 – as director and head of the sector of tropical and subtropical plants, and from 1997 – exclusively as director of the Botanical Garden.The scientific work of Vasyl Kapustyan was related to the introduction of tropical and subtropical plants, their conservation, and rational use. He was the author of over 80 scientific articles and monographs, the last of which was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the botanical garden. Since the founding of the series “Introduction and Conservation of Plant Diversity” of the “Bulletin of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv”, Vasyl Kapustyan was its editor-in-chief. He was also a member of the Academic Councils of Kyiv University and Faculty of Biology, chairman of the Academic Council of the Botanical Garden, a member of the Bureau of the Council of Botanical Gardens of Ukraine, and a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal “Plant Introduction”. He was the founder and scientific director of the Museum of the Botanical Garden History, which opened in 2004.

Zusammenfassung: Fragestellung: Schätzungsweise 250000 Kinder und Jugendliche in Deutschland sind alkoholabhängig oder stark alkoholgefährdet. Während es für erwachsene alkoholkranke Patienten sowohl Therapiemanuale als auch störungsspezifische Nachsorgeeinrichtungen gibt, ist dies für jugendliche Patienten nur unzureichend der Fall. Methoden: Es wird die Kasuistik eines 14-jährigen alkoholabhängigen Patienten beschrieben mit Schwerpunkt auf Darstellung des für Jugendliche adaptierten störungsspezifischen Alkoholtherapiemanuals in Anlehnung an das Original von Petry (1996).
