Abstract Undoubtedly the city Jerusalem (with its temple) is accentuated in Luke-Acts. This is indicated by the high frequency of the name(s) (Luke-Acts presents ca. 65% of the NT-instances!) Ἰερουσαλήμ and Ἱεροσόλυμα and also by the important role of the town within the structure, i.e. within the composition of the two books (cf. only Lk 1–2; 9:51; Acts 1:8; 19:21). But what does this emphasis mean? Differences in the understanding of the relevant data are obvious (and this matter resembles [not without cause] the intense discussions in the area of Pauline studies during the last decades). Ol

Abstract Background The etiology of febrile neutropenia in patients with hematological malignancy is identified in only 20–30% of cases. Sinus computed tomography (CT) is often used, regardless of symptoms, to rule out rhinocerebral source of infection. There are no clear guidelines on when to perform sinus CT in this population. In this study, we evaluated the role of sinus CT in febrile neutropenic patients. Methods We retrospectively reviewed medical records of all adults (age ≥18 years) with febrile neutropenia (T≥ 38.3ºC, ANC < 0.5 x 109/L) and hematological malignancies who underw

Cytogenetic aberrations are one of the main elements of risk stratification among published scoring systems including the International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS) or its recent revision (R-IPSS). R-IPSS cytogenetic risk stratification has 5 cytogenetic subgroups rather than 3 in the IPSS. We hypothesized that R-IPSS and/or IPSS cytogenetic risk stratification at the time of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (alloHCT) can better predict outcome afterwards. In
